(Kylo Ren's View)
(Five and a Half Hours Later)
(Elevator from Snoke's Meeting Room)
My old man has the droid now. So fate has led me to this, to him. I snarl in my mind, my eyes shut tight, pondering on the words that Supreme Leader Snoke told me. And the lie I told him.
My fat-, no. Han Solo, a renowned smuggler and a war hero of the former Rebellion has taken our target into his ship, the famous Millennium Falcon, where he hopes to return it to the Resistance. I should have expected this treacherous act from him though, for many reasons. When I stood within the young soul of Ben Solo, the blasted smuggler called me "a monster" as my control of my emotions had been shaky and unpredictable. The man also had been away from me for too long in his smuggling runs, rarely having the time to bond with my former self.
Yet, despite all of this, a tiny spark of bondage resides in my heart. I know it's there. I lied to Snoke about him meaning "nothing to me", where the spark suddenly ignited. The stunned sensation from it was faint, but noticeable. I hate to admit it, but it's there with no way to stomp it cold.
This aggravating emotion resides within my body while the elevator from Snoke's meeting room, the room where his holographic form towers over my and Hux's tall stature descends quickly. I tug on my glove out of discomfort, still shaken from the feeble lie. At least Hux isn't on my tail though. He'd be mocking away at my lineage to the Resistance. Currently, the pasty general is overseeing preparations for the giant laser beam, ("the weapon" as we call it) to erupt from Starkiller Base's core to obliterate the Hosnian system, the capital system of the New Republic in order to rid the Resistance of any chance of a successful revolt against us.
With an adjustment of my helmet, I walk out of the elevator on the 1st of 80 floors within Starkiller Base. This floor can only be accessed by General Hux, Captain Phasma, Keisa, assigned pilots and I due to it being the hangar where my personal transport ship, my and Keisa's TIE Silencers and Infinity are docked in. This hangar is unlike any of the others as it is eerily quiet, heavily fortified and resides under a giant glacier. A pathway for our ships goes under the ice and opens up a good mile from the end of it. Only the hums of lights and shielding are the usual sounds reverberating from the room.
Except for today. Today is an exception when I hear something slowly and rhythmically tapping on the metal floor. I switch on the lights and after the flashes of them turning on, I see Keisa sitting on a box, tapping her boot on the floor. She's covered in blood. Removing my mask, I walk towards her. All the while, she's giving me a menacing glare.
"Keisa. I didn't expect you to be here already." I comment with a heavy sigh. Keisa slowly hops off the box, rage within her boiling extremely and disturbingly quickly.
"And I didn't expect you to be a subject of an improbable rumor!" She bellows out. "And I hope you tell me if it's true or not, Father." She snarls, marching to me, her hands clenched in shaky fists. I place my helmet on a box.
"A rumor? Keisa, I'm always part of rumors. Here and around the Galaxy." I remind my dear daughter. This subject, when she was younger and more innocent, pushed her buttons a lot. Most of the time it was too much for comfort. Despite this, as she grew up, the idea of me being mocked at disturbed her less and less.
"I know that, old man!" She snaps bitterly. "But you being the son of Han Solo?! And Leia Organa?! I don't want to believe the Stormtroopers I slain, but something in my gut tells me that they're right!" She bellows out.
I am speechless. Keisa's glare intensifies at my hesitation. Biting my lip, I shake my head. Keisa, knowing that my head shaking means that guilt and apologetic feelings are within me screams out in rage, throwing a metal box when she swipes her hand across the air when she marches to me.
"Keisa, I-."
"I DON'T WANT EXCUSES, OLD MAN!" She bellows out in a high-pitched scream . "I WANT AN EXPLANATION!" She adds on, her breathing a bit unstable while I begin to walk towards her. "
WHY DID YOU HIDE THIS FROM ME!? First it was me being adopted and now it's THIS?! I…I thought you told me EVERYTHING!" She bellows out, her body shaking and tears running down her cheeks from all the erratic emotions she's dealing with. By that time, I am standing over her.
I give her an embrace, tears falling from my eyes. She tries to get out of my grasp, but I keep her in place.
"Lemme go! I don't want affection! I want-!"
"Answers. I understand that."
"Then give it to me!"
"Keisa…" I whisper. "I never told you because I want to forget them." I explain as I release my grip on her. She steps back and wipes away her tears. I place my hand on her shoulder. "My bond to my parents doesn't exist anymore. They are against us and you know just as much as I do that if we reminisce on them, it won't be good for either of us. Our top priority is to rule the Galaxy and either of us pondering on the past, my past won't help."
"I…I guess." Keisa whispers with a crack in her voice. Giving her a little smile, I put on my mask once again, hug her from her side, gently push her away in hopes of having her show some of her pearly whites at me (which is accomplished) and board my personal ship along with Keisa. She quietly sits down on a cushioned booth, her head down, probably trying to process all the unexpected news.
The ship takes flight. After another glance at her, I walk to a hidden compartment on the wall. Keisa watches me take out a new pair of clothes for her. Keisa slowly stands to her feet, stunned at the sight. She rushes to me, snatching the clothes out of my hands.
The new clothes, freshly washed and ironed is a reddish mahogany shirt, torn up black jeans, black boots, a silver belt, leather arm bands and a hoodie that extends to a cloak with red being under the cape. Keisa grins some more pearly whites at this.
"Where did you get this?!" She squeals. I laugh. "Found it online. It looked like something up your alley so I bought it." I explain with a grin under my mask. She grins back. At this time, my ship rather conveniently lands in The Supremacy. Keisa dashes out, heading straight for a bathroom to change. Stormtroopers stand at attention when I pass them, heading to the bridge to watch the beam from Starkiller Base to fire at the Hosnian system. Yet, before I could touch down at the bridge, Keisa was at my side with glittering eyes. A faint, sincere smile creeps up my face as when I watch her admiring her new look.
We soon board the bridge. Admirals, technicians and programmers perk or stand at attention when we enter. Hands behind my back, Keisa and I stop at the glass window. Keisa brushes her thumb on the golden necklace I gave her years ago. It's a precious item to her and I know it. I've rarely seen her without it and when that does happen, she flips out until it's located. Two generals, one of each side step to our side when, five minutes later, a low humming sound enters our ears. Red light illuminates the darkness being obliterated by it. Keisa and I stare intently at the beam.
I close my eyes. Trillions of petrified screams cry in my mind. Keisa then lets out a painful hiss out of her mouth. She hears the screams too.
Everything then goes dead silent. Only monitors beeping is heard. Keisa inhales a large breath and smirks a bit.
"We've done it."
"Yes, we have." I whisper. Keisa stares at me with a faint smile. "Well, we're one step closer to our goal. Now, what's ne-?" Keisa questions our next move. However, an Lieutenant Mitaka comes to us, stands at attention and coughs a little to compose himself from our most likely menacing glare.
"Sir. Lady Keisa. We have received word from Takodana that the BB unit is there." He reports. Keisa looks at me with a smirk. I nod to the Lieutenant.
"Very good. Prepare ships and troops, Lieutenant." I command him in a firm voice. He bows in understanding.
"Right away, sir." He sputters out. I nod, quickly dismissing him. My daughter and I watch him scuffling away. Keisa pauses to move for a moment. She looks down, closes her eyes before smirking her pearly whites. She eyes me.
"I'll be waiting on Infinity, Father. Don't be late for the party." She hums before dashing away. Adjusting my glove, I roll my eyes and follow her lead.
The lead for an invasion of Takodana.
