Hot kisses move up my spin towards my neck before one is placed directly on my promise mark, and a hand runs up my naked side.

I hum in response before rolling over to open my eyes to a pair of deep brown ones looking down at me. I stretch and groan at the feeling of my joints popping before looping my arms around his neck, pulling him in for a sweet kiss.

"Good morning," I sigh against him and push my face into his neck. He replies with a good morning and pulls me up against him, dissolving all the space between us. But instead of meeting his hot skin, I meet denim and cotton.

"You got dressed already?" I pout as I pull back to look at him. He lets out a deep laugh before placing a kiss on my nose.

"I couldn't exactly go and get you doughnuts naked, Rose." He chuckles before reaching behind him and produces a brown bag. I sit up and sniff the air to inhale the sweet aroma of chocolate glazed doughnuts and my stomach roars to life. Taking the bag from him, I rip it open to find four fresh doughnuts and I squeal in excitement before stuffing one in my mouth. Flopping back onto the pillow I savour the taste before swallowing and licking my lips.

"You are the best, you know that?"

He just smiles at me as his eyes wander across my body, looking down I realize that sitting up forced the blanket down to my hips and I am completely naked from the waist up. Giggling as I see a hungry look cross his face, I trail one hand up my stomach and between my breast. His eyes follow the movement with fervor, and I smirk at him.

I lick the remaining doughnut off all but one of my fingers before bringing it up to his mouth, and he brings it to his lips and sucks the remaining chocolate off. And I feel like I could turn into a hot pile of goo.

"What time is it?" I ask breathily.

"Just after 9, you have to get up and get ready soon to meet your parents at the landing strip."

I groan, why couldn't I sleep a little longer. Setting the remaining doughnuts on the nightstand, I flip over and shove my head under the pillow, praying that I could catch a few more minutes of sleep. Dimitri calls my name a few times, trying to rouse me from going back to sleep, but eventually, I smack his arm and grumble to let me sleep. I feel Dimitri's weight lift off the bed before the blanket is ripped off me and he wraps his hands around my ankles before tugging me down the bed. I squeal in surprise, not having enough time before he throws me over his shoulder and walks towards the bathroom.

"Put me down, Shrek!"

He swats my butt playfully and I shriek, squirming in his grasp.

"You need to have a shower Roza, no more time to sleep." He says as he places me on my feet in the bathroom.

"Fine," I groan rolling my eyes. Turning to turn the hot water on in the shower, I can hear rustling of Dimitri taking his clothes off.

"What are you doing?" I ask, cocking my head. He winks standing in his naked glory before gently pushing me into the shower.

"Joining you."

Arriving at the airstrip at 11:45 p.m., I see a group waiting at the bottom on the stairs. Quickening my pace into a slight jog, I move towards Lissa and fling my arms around her.

"I'm going to miss you! Take lots of pictures and text me lots," Lissa says hugging me tightly. I hug her back just as tight before pulling back and smiling at her.

"Promise! Good luck with your first few weeks of college," I tell her. She nods her head and passes me a soft bag with a box inside. Presuming it is the necklace to bring to Oksana, I tuck it into my carry on. Saying my goodbyes to Christian, Adrian and Eddie, I head up the stairs of the plane with Dimitri behind me. Handing my bags to the stewardess, I walk down the row of the plane and sit in one of the deep burgundy leather chairs across from my parents.

"Ready to go?" Abe asks us with a smile. We both nod and he raises a hand to the stewardess, who walks into the cockpit to alert the pilot.

"Russia here we come!" I say to Dimitri with a big smile on my face, he takes my hand and presses a gentle kiss to the back.

Seven hours into our flight, both my parents are asleep and I have moved to one of the couches. Laying on my side with my head propped on my hand, I gaze at Dimitri. He is still sitting in his seat holding a western in his hands. Sensing that my eyes are on him, his flicker over to mine for a brief moment.

"Stop looking at me like that," he says while turning a page. I snort a laugh.

"Looking at you how?"

"With dirty eyes Rose. You keep looking at me with dirty eyes, it's distracting."

I roll my eyes and lay down on the couch, but still staring him down with a soft grin on my lips. A few minutes later he snaps the book shut with a deep sigh and places it on the seat next to him before looking at me again, cocking a brow.

"I mean it Rose,"

"I don't know what you are talking about," I say feigning innocence. He stands up and strides over to the couch and I sit up for him to sit down, and I proceed to lay down in his lap.

He growls lightly before running his hand through my hair and I sigh in content. If someone had told me three months ago that I would be going back to Russia with Dimitri, I would have told them that they were cruel, but laying in his lap I feel blissful. I'm glad that we are spending most of the day flying, my whole body aches. But in the best way possible. Dimitri and I made up for lost time last night and early this morning, from rough and hot fucking to gentle and sweet lovemaking. And my body is sporting the mark greatly, my upper thighs, neck and breast littered with hickeys and my hips sport slight marks from where Dimitri held them, to the gentle ache between my legs. If my parents thought it was odd that I was wearing a high neck shirt, they kept that opinion to themselves.

"It will be nice to run on the daytime schedule," I say rolling onto my back to look up at him, playing with the edge of my shirt. Gazing up at him from this angle I can see the sharp lines in his jaw and face and I want to run my fingers over them.

Twirling my hair between my fingers he smiles. "It will be nice; I miss the sun. I don't feel like I can get enough of it these days," he says looking down at me, resting his other hand on my stomach.

"Have you ever been to St. Basil's? Or the Kremlin? Why do they call it the Red Square?" I fire off questions to him.

"Krasnaya Ploschcade is the Russian name for it. It was named for its loveliness, "Krasnaya" or "red" meant beauty in old Russian. And yes, I've been to both, Kremlin is the heart of Moscow." I sigh happily, excited to see parts of Russia as a tourist.

"Hey, what did Lissa want last night? She threw her mental blocks up hard when she was talking to you," I ask, running my nail gently over his arm. He smiles down and shakes his head, indicating that he is not going to tell me. Well, I will get that information out of him. I sit up and turn to face him, crawling over to him with a mischievous grin on my face.

Crawling into his lap I put my hands around his neck and place a small kiss on his lips and pout at him, batting my eye lashes.

He lets out a laugh before running his hands on my back and then resting them on my waist.

"I'm not telling you Roza, it's a surprise."

I stare him down with an intense look, rolling my hips against his softly. He closes his eyes and breathes in deeply.

"You are giving me dirty eyes again," he groans.

"I don't want to hear about anyone giving anybody dirty eyes," Abe mumbles from his seat. Dimitri's eyes widen and I crack up into laughter before settling myself back onto the couch beside him.

"You are a terror," Dimitri whispers into my ear.

"This is gorgeous. I have to admit, Russia has some beautiful architect," I say to Dimitri as we stand in front of the Holy Trinity Church in Nikitniki, about a 25 minute walk from St. Basil's cathedral. The tall red, white, gold and green towers look like something out of a dream. Dimitri stands behind me and wraps his arms around me, resting his head on my chin.

"This church is one of the most popular places in the area. I used to go here when I was little with Karo, Sonya, and Babushka," he says with nostalgia. I smile, thinking about Dimitri a little younger than Paul traipsing after his sisters. The sun is starting to set behind the church, giving it an ethereal glow, and I have a better appreciation for the design of churches. Taking my hand, we walk back towards our hotel in the square. Abe insisted on paying for our hotel and train tickets to Omsk tomorrow, and to appease him I let him. The hotel was quite grand, and our suite was amazing. Abe was flying back with my mom to Nepal before he returned to Turkey for business before we arrived.

Arriving back to our suite, Dimitri walks into the bathroom to take a shower before bed, and I change into a pair of leggings and a tank top before stepping onto the small balcony that overhangs the square, admiring how the sun bathes it in golden light. Taking my phone out and snapping a photo of one of the cathedrals in the background, I send it to Lissa.

My view. Could stay here forever.

I stayed out there alone until the sun had turned the sky pink before a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and a kiss was dropped onto my neck.

"I don't think I will ever bash Russia again," I say tilting my face towards Dimitri's. He smirks against my skin and squeezes me tightly.

"Come back inside, I have something for you."

Stepping back inside and sitting down on the massive king size bed, I cross my legs and get comfy as Dimitri riffles through his suitcase. Producing a small, flat black box he comes over and sits beside me.

" I had intended to give you this for your 18th birthday. When I was restored I received my belongings from the academy and Lissa was helping me go through everything when I came across this. At the time, it hurt too much to look at it, so I asked her to take it for safe keeping."

Handing me the box, I look up at him with skeptical eyes. Lifting the lid I gaze down at the necklace in the box with my mouth open in awe. The necklace is three intertwined rings made of rose gold, yellow gold, and white gold. Looking up at him I am floored. This must have cost so much money.

"You didn't have to spend money on me," I whisper. He leans over and kisses my head.

"I didn't, it belonged to babushka, she had told me to take it with me when I went to America, said that I would find someone who deserved it one day. The rings mean past, present and future, but also tie in with the Orthodox church," he explains to me lovingly. A small tear rolls down my face as I reach up and place a kiss on his lips.

"I love it, thank you. Help me put it on?" I tell him, pecking him on the lips a few more times before pulling it out of the box and handing it to him. Holding my hair up, the cold metal lays against my chest and it sits directly underneath the nazar my mother gifted me. Turning around for him to look at it, he smiles and pulls me into a hug. I sigh into his shoulder and smile.

The idea of having Yeva's necklace touched my heart a bit, even if the old lady was crazy.

"Is this what Lissa wanted to talk to you about after dinner?"

"Yes, she brought it to me when I went to get you breakfast," he said sweetly, stroking my cheek.

"Come on let's get some sleep, it's going to be a long day tomorrow."

Crawling into bed next to him, he pulls my back to his chest and intertwines our legs and kisses my cheek. In two days, he will get to see his family for the first time in years.

Sitting on the train to Omsk, I hold my cell phone in my hand and dialing the phone number Dimitri had given me and put the phone on speaker.

"Zdravstvuyte?" Olena says into the phone. Dimitri's whole face lights up at the sound of his mother's voice.

"Olena, it's Rose."

"Roza! Oh my goodness! How are you?" she exclaims into the phone, and I can hear relief in her voice.

"I'm good, um I actually have a favour to ask."

"What is it dear?"

I smirk at Dimitri. "I am on my way to Omsk, and in need of a ride and a place to stay for the night before I continue traveling. Would it be a burden?" I tell her, excited to see what her face will be if she can come to us.

"Of course not dear, Karo and I will come and get you," she says into the phone sweetly. I fist pound the air.

"Just you two or are the kids coming as well?" I ask, trying to think of how this will work if Paul and Zoya come too.

"No no, just the two of us. The kids can stay home with Sonya and Vika. How long will it be until you are in Omsk?"

"I should be there in about 2 hours,"

"Alright, we will see you soon." She says before hanging up the phone. I lock mine and slide it back into my pocket and look at Dimitri. I have only seen happiness on his face like this once, and I would give anything to see it all the time.

I grasp his hand and squeeze it, showing him my joy.

"I am so excited," I say to him.

Standing outside in the hot sun, we wait for Olena and Karo to show up. I stretch lightly and breathe in the fresh air. Looking over at Dimitri I can see the excitement clouding the nervousness in his eyes. I walk closer to him and place my hands on his face and stretch onto my toes to kiss his cheek.

"It's going to be ok,"

He nods his head and looks around, taking in the familiarity of the station he used all the time when he lived in Russia. My phone pings, and I check to see that it's an unknown number. Reading the message, I show my phone to Dimitri.

'Just got here, we will meet you at the steps at the front of the station. Karo.'

I ask Dimitri if he is ready and he says he is before kissing me and walks back towards the top of the stairs and into the glass doors, concealing himself from view. I wait a few more moments before I hear my name called by two familiar voices. Turning to the left I can see Olena and Karo walking up to me and a large smile crosses my face before I meet them and throw my arms around Olena.

"Oh Roza, you scared me half to death when you didn't come back that night!" Olena says squeezing me tightly before releasing me to Karo. Hugging Karolina as well, I step back and smile at them both.

"I know, I'm so sorry that I didn't say goodbye before I left, but something came up and I had to leave urgently," I explain while biting down on my lip. Karo shakes her head at me and Olena waves me off.

"I'm just glad to know that you are safe. Come on, let's get you back to the car. It is sweltering out," Olena says while going to pick up my bag. I put my hand on top of hers, stopping her.

"Before we leave, there is something I need to show you. I need you both to keep an open mind and let me explain before you lose your cool. OK?" I tell them hesitantly, and I can feel the butterflies come to life in my stomach. They both look at me confused but nod, nonetheless.

Taking a deep breath, I turn back to the doors and wave to Dimitri to come out. Turning back to the women in front of me with a big smile on my face, I watch the emotions fly across their faces. Dimitri opens the door and steps down the stairs into the sun with a smile on his face and walks slowly towards us and Olena gasps quietly, bringing her hand to her lips in shock. Karo grabs her hand and looks between him and I with a thousand questions in her eyes. I reach out and squeeze Olena's hand and her eyes slid to me for a moment before they slide back to her son.

"Dimka?" Olena squeaks, tears welling up in her eyes. He comes to a stop beside me and looks at his mother and older sister, allowing them a moment to fully take him in.

"It's me, Mama."

"I thought… you said he… Roza said that you were Strigoi. I… what?" Olena stutters, while Karo just stares at him with tears filling her eyes. A moment goes by before Karo lets go of her mother's hand and launches herself into Dimitri's arms, sobs wracking her body as she clutches her younger brother.

"I know, and he was Strigoi. But we figured out a way to bring him back," I say to Olena gently, pulling her hand away from her mouth. She takes a few ragged breaths while looking at me before allowing the tears to flow down her face.

"Oh my baby," she cries walking towards Dimitri, and he takes her into his embrace while still holding Karo. I wrap my arms around my waist and laugh lightly in happiness at the reunion, tears spilling down my cheeks. Dimitri lifts his head to look at me, tears in his eyes. Smiling at me, he tilts his head and kisses his mother's cheek while speaking to her in his native tongue. Karolina pulls back from Dimitri and turns to me, wiping tears from her face and pulls me into a bone crushing hug. Wrapping my arms around her I hug her back.

"Thank you, thank you so much Roza." She says into my ear. I nod against her shoulder and smile.

After Dimitri and his mother embrace for a few minutes longer, she lets go and cups his face, wiping the tears that spilled over and kiss his cheeks before turning to me. Cupping both of my cheeks, she places a kiss on my forehead and pulls me into a hug, thanking me for bringing her son home.
