Nimbasa City was loud. Bianca headed straight to the theme park. Kenya and I made our way to the pokemon center. There weren't as many people as Castelia but it was still enough to be distracting.
"We should meet Bianca at the park after we get the room," Kenya suggested.
"I thought that was already the plan." I noticed a crowd outside of the pokemon center. Reporters were crowding around someone.
"Oh. I thought you were gonna go straight to the gym." I stopped, a few feet away from the edge of the crowd. Alder stepped out of the crowd.
"Excuse me," Alder said politely.
"Sir!" the reporters followed after him.
"What are your comments on team plasma?"
"What about the situation in Mistralton?"
"Do you plan to attend the Nimbasa tournament?" I stood frozen, watching the crowd moving down the street.
"Yes, yes of course!"
"Isn't that?"
"The champion." I watched Alder's orange head disappear around a corner.
"There's a Nimbasa tournament?" I hurried to the pokemon center, healing my pokemon and getting a room for the three of us.
"Lady," I asked after receiving my pokemon. "Where is the Nimbasa tournament happening? Where can I register?"
"You can register for the tournament at the Nimbasa gym," the nurse said.
"Where's that?"
"The theme park."
"Well, I guess that's convenient," Kenya commented.
"Let's go!" I ran out of the pokemon center.
"You're really enthusiastic!" Kenya yelled, a few feet behind me." I crossed the city in a few minutes, the theme park was huge. I was panting, clutching my chest. "Where's it at?" Kenya came up beside me, looking around. The park was busy, we wandered around slipping through the crowds.
"Hey, you two!" I noticed Bianca waving across the crowd. Cheren was with her. Kenya and I made our way over to them.
"Did you hear about the tournament?" Cheren asked.
"Yes!" I grinned. "Alder is gonna be there!" Cheren's face lit up.
"Do you know where the gym is?" Kenya stepped between us. "That's where we register!"
"Yeah, come on." Cheren led us to the gym by the Ferris wheel. I was surprised when there wasn't a line outside of the gym. A few people were standing around outside. We shuffled inside. Nimbasa gym leader and four other people were sitting at a folding table.
"Hello there!" One of the two men called out. "You all wouldn't happen to be here for the tournament would you?"
"Yes," I answered. The four of us made our way to the table. "Right?" Bianca, Cheren, and Kenya collectively nodded.
"Wonderful!" The man stood up, holding out a hand. I took his hand. "My name's Marshal." The others introduced themselves as Caitlin, Grimsley and Shauntal.
"When is the tournament happening?" Cheren asked.
"Next month," Elesa answered. She handed Cheren a notepad. "Write your name down if you plan to register." Cheren wrote his name down and passed the notepad to me. "You can only use three pokemon in the tournament." Elesa twirled a strand of her hair. I passed the notepad to Kenya.
"And that's it? Just write your name on the notepad?"
"Pretty much." Elesa smiled dryly. "See you kids in a month."
