Weekly Review 2

I seem to go off track a lot, even after gaining a \Rare Advanced Occlumency/ myself. I must be conscious about this otherwise; I may end up monologuing in between the battles allowing my enemies a chance to land a lethal finishing blow on me. I digress!

After emptying the department, I elf-apparated to the wizards, and started extracting the cards, while inwardly laughing at the skill cards, I was getting. Not one of them is green or light blue. All and I mean, all of them are Rare Advanced Cards, I saw a few for Alchemy, Greek Theory of Magic, Roman Theory of Magic, Egyptian Magic System, Sumerian Runes, etc. I was giddy as I saw a few magical Animagi forms as well, so Lord Black was under a false sense of pride. Hmm, you learn something new every day!

I started looking through the heads of all the heads of the various sections of the department, to see if I missed anything. I found a few Rune activated Vaults, placed in Inconspicuous Places to prevent theft as is now. What they did not expect, was being down, even before they got a chance. I had gleaned the information, and found a few human experimentation records, animal testing and breeding records, the kind of which was a serious crime, punishable by the kiss from the dementors and the redacted documents for the same, saying it is approved by the Undersecretary of Minister of Magic, without the prior approval of the Wizengamot. Well more material for chaos!

As it turns out from the archives which I simply did a speed reading through, dementors and lethifolds do die, they do not breed like creatures, they grow in dark, wet places, where there is a general sense of despair. The Azkaban had been a 'Plant-house' for Dementors, created by Ezkridis about 450 years ago; where he grew dementors by torturing the captured Sailors into despair over decades. Why do I refer to Dementors like a plant and call Azkaban a plant-house?

Because they grow like a fungus, with one central old dementor spreading his essence in the air and growing a new dementor over a span of a year. A dementor can cast such a spore once every decade, and they have been alive since the time of Ezkridis. They can be killed, by fire elemental spells, but the same has not been tried on the older ones. The same goes for Lethifolds, who can consume raw meat, not just human meat, but they do not mind what they get to consume, as long as it is readily available. Fantastic!

On the other hand, from one of the hidden vaults, I found a couple of Eggs. Whose, you ask? Runespoors, Occamy, even of Horned Serpents, Thunderbirds, and Phoenixes. And a lot of them, I mean a vault full. I even got some young ones of Nundu, Erumpent and even a Wampus Cat. I know they are not exactly rare, but now I have a bargaining chip with Mr Scamander. I had my elves teleport them to my safe house, which was where I was storing the Crop output. I found the maintenance manuals for each of the animals, but I had the thunderbird eggs and phoenix eggs under Elemental magic to help them grow, and to place the young ones in a magical pen separate for each kind, while having my elves hunt and skin a large amount of meat from wild boars and to herd some of them into the adjacent land near the Greenhouse and contain them magically. After liberating everything from the department, I sorted out the ones involved in the illegal things, and scoured their memories to find every black market dealer, who provided them with the exotic plants and animals. I, then just for giggles, put a large amount of Young Mandrakes, not adult ones and linked it to a simple intruder ward to release all the soil along the Mandrake plants.

I then sent a memo to the Undersecretary involved in illegal dealings, and a separate one to DMLE auroras with all the redacted documents and their copies, along with a set of copies to Daily Prophet.

Now I was ready for Mr Scamander.
