"Eliwood arrives on the shores of Valor with a new companion in his numbers, an enigmatic young girl named Ninian. The majority of the island is covered in dense forest. Legend has it that no one has ever returned from those dark woods. A dense fog crawls over the party, engulfing them one by one...Cautiously, they move deeper into the trees." David said. "That...doesn't sound too good, now that I'm saying it out loud."

"Don't worry, we have plenty of torches." Scarlet assured. "I made sure to get some after the last time we fought in fog."

David soon spotted something… It was Leila lying on the ground.

"Oh my god, that's Leila!" Gemini said running over. "Please tell me she's not dead…"

"Unfortunately...yes. She's been dead for awhile now it looks like." Elementa said, checking her.

"How… How could this have happened?" Matthew asked. "We were supposed to be together...after all this madness was over. Heh… I guess that was a little too long, huh?"

"Don't worry, Matthew. Soon enough, they'll pay for everything they've done." David said.

Cheetah then picked up something. "Stay on your guard. Someone's coming!"

Out of the fog came a man on horseback.

"That man… he's Sacaen!" Lyn said.

"I am Uhai of the Black Fang." the man said. "If you all wish to see your lives spared this day, surrender the girl to me and leave this island at once. You do not know the threat that you are opposing. You all are mere insects railing against the heavens."

"Yeah, yeah. That's what everyone has told us and look where we stand now. It's a specialty of ours." David said. "Besides, if we turn back now, everything we've done up to this point will be for nothing."

"So be it then." Uhai said. "You have all chosen to die with blades in hands. But be in good cheer, your deaths will spare you from the horror that is to come." he then rode into the fog.

"Don't forget that statement goes both ways…" David said to himself.

"Everything okay, David?" Hope asked.

"Yeah. It's just… How can someone like him live life as an assassin? It just doesn't make sense." David said.

"People's lives can turn out different than you would expect depending on the circumstances." Jexi said. "All the same, we need to get past him before we reach the Dragon's Gate."

"Yeah… But it's hard to tell where he, along with any other enemies, are in this fog. Barbara, can you track them for us? We're gonna need you for this one." David said.

"Don't worry. I will take the lead." Cheetah nodded.

With Cheetah guiding the company, they moved through the fog. They cut down the troops in their way and made their way towards Uhai's position.

"Sir Uhai, I did not think a man such as you would live a life like this." David said.

"Perhaps not, but this is the life I have chosen." Uhai said.

"I understand. As I have chosen mine. However, that life means getting past you. I hope you do not take it personally." David said.

"I will not. In this moment… one of us will die honorably!" Uhai said. He drew his bow and quickly fired an arrow at David.

David splits the arrow in two as he charged close. Uhai notched another arrow and aimed point blank as David prepared to strike with his sword.

"Don't take it personally." David said as he struck at Uhai with a powerful thrust.

"Ghaaaah!" Uhai said falling off his horse. "Guuu... Well...done... You are...stronger...stronger than I expected. Out of respect... ...a final gift from me... From here, go south. ...Turn at the rotted tree. Head...west. There lies the path to the... ...Dragon's Gate... Unnh…" he said as he laid dead, with Leonora taking in his soul.

"He was a brave warrior who fought until the very end. In all honesty, I wish we could have met under different circumstances." Lyndis said.

"I feel the same." Eliwood said. "But...we'll make for what has happened here by taking down the Black Fang."

"When we come across guys like him, and we have no choice but to fight, I feel bad." Hope said. "Sure, it's their choice for doing this, but… this shouldn't be how things go for souls like them."

"Leonora, are you certain you want to take in his soul?" David asked.

"Yes...a warrior's spirit like this is hard to come by." Leonora said.

"I see. In that case, we best not waste any more time. The Dragon's Gate awaits." David said.
