We laid there. We just laid there for a while. I was so bored while waiting, but finally, Ivy stood up slowly. I looked at him and tilted my head.

"Okay… It's time." He said.

"For what?" I asked.

He scanned the roadblock before looking at us. He inhaled and spoke.

"I'm going to get their attention. You two get to the portal opening." He said.

"W- what? No…! We're not sacrificing you…" Icy said.

"I'm not sacrificing myself. I can easily escape when I want. Just get there, okay…?" He said.

"You can't just magically disappear out of their view if they're driving a massive truck. They have a massive advantage of speed…" Icy replied.

"I know. But I can handle it. Please don't argue with me. Just do it. Wait for me when you get there." He said.

"If you really think you can lose them and reach us… Then I guess that's that. Just make sure not to get captured like Icy." I told him.

Ivy nodded and slowly walked out into the street. He gave us one last look before running down the road towards the roadblock. We couldn't see all the way down the pathway, so we just waited until we heard something. What we heard did disturb us. Gunshots. Multiple gunshots. Icy closed her eyes and pressed against me, shaking softly. I gently rubbed her head and tried comforting her, saying he'll be okay.

When the gunshots died down and soon fell into silent, I wasn't sure what to do. I waited for a minute before slowly inching out into the path to look down. As I looked down, I didn't noticed anything different. The truck appeared to be in the same spot. Ivy wasn't lying motionless somewhere, so I believed he managed to get their attention by running down then into the woods. Looking at Icy, I told her to follow. She slowly nodded and got up as we walked down the path.

During this time, I was afraid bullets would fly at us. But it didn't come. No sounds whatsoever came as we soon made it to the truck. Once we were at the truck, we ducked down and crawled under the tons of steel. The only sound we heard was our soft breathing and the soft crumbling of dirt as we dragged our bodies against it.

The time crawling underneath this truck felt slow and it just felt wrong. I was glad to have gotten to the other side as we both got to our feet. When we reached the other side, we quickly looked around to make sure we were alone. We were. I sighed in relief and told Icy to hurry. She quickly agreed with me as we started speed walking down the pathway. It was painful with how quiet it was. No gunshots in the woods, no shouting, no noises at all other then ours.

"This is creepy…" Icy told me.

"Yeah… It's just so quiet. Just… Be careful and don't let your guard down." I replied.

"Y- yeah… We need to hurry…" Icy shivered.

"Which is why we should pick up our pace but not enough to make too much noise." I told her.

Icy leaned against me and followed my pace. We just continued walking in silent, hearing nothing at all.

The path soon came to an end and I was glad. We turned right and walked down the pathway and I tried looking around. The location was very close to our start point, so I told Icy as we started running. We ran down the pathway as we traveled a bit into the forest.

Traveling into the forest for a little, we finally spotted fallen trees. I knew we were right there. We started following the trees back to the path which only took a minute. Once back, we sat down and waited for Ivy. Icy sat against a tree and held her head, sighing softly. She closed her eyes and shook her head.

"We're here… But without Ivy. I really hope he gets here soon… Do you have the medallion ready?" Ivy slowly looked at me.

"Yeah, I have the medallion ready." I told her.

"G- good… Now we just wait I suppose…" She replied.

We then waited in silent. However, as we waited, we started hearing it. A roar in the distance. The both of us jumped up and looked around quickly. I ran to the road just a few feet away and looked down it. My eyes widen when I saw Ivy sprinting at full speed as that truck came into view not more then ten seconds later. Icy joined me to see what was going on and looked surprised, soon looking at me as Ivy continued running down the road. When he was fifty feet away, he shouted.

"Put it on…!" Was all I could hear.

I didn't think. I placed the medallion around my neck as it started glowing. I noticed Icy and I becoming transparent and it confused me.

"T- this is new…" I said.

This was a new affect, but I didn't care since I was too worried about Ivy. When I looked at Ivy, he managed to get there just in time before we vanished from the world. When my vision went black, all I heard was a loud crash. I assumed the truck attempted to ram us but we just managed to get away. When the sound of crushing metal and trees splintering stopped, I was just suspended in darkness. Deafening darkness. I didn't know if I had my eyes closed or opened due to it being absolutely pitch black.

I just stood, laid or even floated there. I just couldn't feel anything. I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything.

"W- what… Is this…?" I thought.

I tried moving. But it didn't work. I tried talking, but I couldn't either.

"Ivy…? Icy…? Anyone…?" I spoke in my head.

Doing everything I could think of, non of it worked. I was about to give up, but the moment I gave up, I was blinded by a white light. The white light stung majorly as I was finally able to move. My arms shielded my eyes, inhaling deeply from the pain. The light faded after a little and when it did, I started feeling something. The feeling was rain. Cold rain. When I removed my arms, I looked around and noticed that I was lying on the wet grass as the rain continued to fall. I felt dazed as I tried sitting up. After many failed attempts, I managed to sit up and looked around. I was back in the normal world it felt like.

Slowly reaching my paw to my chest, I felt that the medallion was around my neck still. I gripped it and looked to notice it wasn't glowing anymore.

"W- we're back…" I said softly.

I rubbed my eyes and scanned the nearby area and was so thankful to see Ivy along with Icy laying there. The two were still out but appeared to be alive. Letting out a small sigh, I gently crawled over as my legs felt weak. I reached them and shook them slowly. My head throbbed in pain as I tried waking them up. It took a bit, but when they finally woke up, I fell and laid on my back. The two managed to wake up without passing out or something as they looked at me.

"I… Feel like hell…" Ivy said.

"Yeah… I'm so done with teleporting between worlds…" Icy said, sitting up.

"Same… Just give me a moment…" Ivy replied.

We all sat there as I soon spoke to Icy.

"Can you give me that box…?" I asked her.

She looked confused but perked up.

"O- oh, sure…" She said, pulling it out from her bag.

She handed me it as I took it. I held it close along with the medallion. I tried relaxing for a moment since I felt dizzy and sick from returning back to the normal world. So I laid down and closed my eyes, trying not to puke.

"This sucks…" I softly spoke.

I just laid there for a while before finally getting up, feeling somewhat better. I slowly looked at the two who still sat and talked among themselves.

"Guys…?" I spoke.

"Yeah?" Ivy said as the two looked at me.

"You should… Get back home. I need one last thing to do…" I said.

"You sure? We can come with." Ivy said.

"No, no… It's sorta my problem. I don't want you two to deal with anymore of this." I told them.

"Oh, okay. Just be careful, alright?" He replied.

"I'll try." I told him.

The two got up and suddenly hugged me. I just rubbed their backs as they soon departed and smiled softly.

"It was quite a journey." Ivy said.

"Yeah… Lets just hope this is the end of it." I said.

"Indeed. That was pretty unnerving." Icy spoke.

"It was pretty unnerving. Anyways… Do you mind if we stay at your place for a week or so?" Ivy said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well… It just feels somewhat better. Our home is sorta quite a distance away. So, um…" Ivy looked to the side.

I sighed.

"Okay. It is raining. So I guess I won't mind since I don't want you two to get sick." I said.

"Thanks. We'll… Wait for you to return before entering the house. Just don't want Dagger to see us two without you." He said.

"Oh, sure. Well, I won't be long. I hope… See you there." I said.

The two nodded and turned, walking in the direction of my house. Ivy looked back while walking with Icy.

"This wasn't how I planned things to be, heh…" He chuckled softly.

"Yeah, same." I replied, turning and walking towards glittering lake.

I then walked towards the lake in the icy cold rain that just fell harder as I walked.

The weather caused some problems, but I made it to the lake within an hour. When I reached it, I slowly walked around the lake, gripping the box and medallion tightly. I wanted to find Luk. I just wanted this to be done and over with. When I reached the location he first ambushed me, I closed my eyes and sighed before shouting.

"Luk?! Where are you?!"

My voice died through the amount of rain pouring, but it was enough. When I finished shouting and waiting just a second, I suddenly saw some bushes move. I stared straight at the bushes and narrowed them.

I didn't move and once the bushes stopped, they suddenly burst open as Luk jumped out with a huge knife.

"Well, well… You're back…" He smirked at me.

"Yes, I'm back… With this stupid box that I went through quite a lot to get…" I replied.

"Perfect, heh. Give it here." He said.

Sighing, I tossed the box at him as he quickly collected it. He held it tightly, seeing him smirk wider. He then stared at me after looking at the box for a moment. He pointed at me and spoke.

"Medallion." He said.

Not wanting to delay this any longer, I just threw the medallion at him. He once again caught it and quickly pocketed the medallion.

"There. I got what you wanted. Now can I go…?" I asked.

"Not so fast. You don't want to forget your reward." He said.

"Reward?" I looked at him.

Luk nodded and jumped into the same bush for a moment before coming back out. He held what looked like a ring with a diamond.

"A diamond ring…? And why?" I asked.

"Just a reward, heh…" He said, walking up to me.

Luk then took my paw and place the ring into it before closing my paw. He then backed up from me and looked to the side.

"You done good… See you, heh." He chuckled before vanishing into the bushes.

I stood there for a minute upon him disappearing. Once I knew it was over, I let out a deep sigh of relief and turned back to walk to my house...
