1 month later…

Vanish the Witch could never know why Frost betrayed her, but what she does know is that she wants her and the serperior's head. They took everything from her; her power, her town, and her godhood. She hasn't called it yet, but Team Fade is disbanded. Outside of Frost, Blind is nowhere to be found. The little banette, Revenge, is following closely behind her, but he's a sad little thing that doesn't deserve anymore than a pat on the head for good behaviour.

Her mentor, Witchdoctor Kala, is all she needs right now. The little whisperings of travellers have let her know that Branna and Frost have taken residence in Fort Ruin atop Mt. Meteora. To enact her revenge, she needs to find some way around the Relic Master and his… sidekick? Sepullen's skills are well known, but Venomitus is reclusive and doesn't leave the mountain much. Kala was surprised that he came so far south.

"What a strange place," Kala says. "But why, out of all the places, would you want to come here?"

The Cinder City for all its glory, is mostly underwater now. It's as if the ocean itself came and dragged in against its will. It's inhabitants are either gone or dead, and the last remaining building is a temple that most likely is an homage to Groudon. Though, Kyogre and Groudon haven't been spotted in Archaea for years.

Despite its rich history, what Vanish is interested in is the graves. In particular, she's interested in the one that's hidden behind the temple, as if the locals were too embarrassed to admit that he was one of their own. The grave doesn't even have a name written on it, only a message.

"Tyrant and Traitor to his people. May he suffer Yveltal's judgement," Kala reads aloud.

Despite followers of Arceus being relatively prominent, Yveltal, and not Giratina, is Archaea's chosen death god. When Dark Matter attacked, everyone on the planet that wasn't attuned to magic was turned to stone until the crisis ended. Some believe Yveltal dealt the deed, and not Dark Matter, making it a bigger feat than anything Giratina has done in the mortal world.

"No name is written, Doctor," Vanish says. "But I know the poor soul who's buried here. After all, I was there when he died."

From thin air, Vanish produces a bright red orb. Kala has no idea what it is, but Vanish has been saving it for this very moment. She drops it to the ground, but instead of hitting it, it phases through the dirt as easily as she could. A moment later, the ground shifts. The pokemon underneath is very angry, but she doesn't know why.

With stunning speed, two bright grey pairs of claws tear through the ground. They part the dirt with surprising ease as the pokemon lifts itself through the hole. The first thing Vanish notices is his bright blue eyes, a trait that isn't commonly found among any kind of pokemon in Archaea.

He is an unlucky pokemon in a way, Vanish thinks. Once before, he was possessed by Deoxys and died, only to be resurrected to be possessed by the Omega Orb. His mind isn't his, but this time he knows that. She can feel his entire being resisting her spell, but to no avail. He is alive, and will serve his purpose until she doesn't need him anymore.

"Impressive," Kala says. "Your necromancy is more powerful than mine."

With no restraint or self-control, Revenge walks up to greet the newly resurrected pokemon. Being a blaziken, a species known for their speed and quick reflexes, the undead pokemon strikes the banette at his center of mass and launches him into the nearby temple, through it, and out the other side.

"This… life," the blaziken starts, "is no second chance, is it?"

Vanish shakes her head. He can say all he wants, but his actions are not his. At least, that's what she thinks. The particular spell that was used to revive him preys on the subjects fears if they don't do as the controller asks, but he could never go to the Reverse World or the Voidlands when he died. He went nowhere, because no punishment in any afterlife could make him submit. In life, he wasn't afraid of anything. In death, he challenged Yveltal to give him his worst, to which he didn't. Now in undeath, he isn't afraid of two witches and their puppet.

With speed rivalling what he had already shown, the blaziken uppercuts Vanish from below, then hammer kicks Kala into the ground before either of them even see anything. He readies his stance to strike them again, but smirks when he sees that both of them are already out cold.

"Fear is for humans, witch, but you should have known that."

For some reason, he can remember the events of his death very clearly, but not his own name. He concludes that it must be a side effect of the spell. He doesn't have long to think about it before he hears the sound of metal footsteps against the temple's stone floor. By the sound alone, he is able to determine that the pokemon is a female empoleon, but on the lighter side, being more healthy and athletic than the rest of her species.

"Is it fate," the empoleon says as she drags Revenge along the ground by the neck, "that we meet today?"

She walks over to him, but with caution. The blaziken notices a crystal ball in her claws, along with a dream catcher tied around it. Something about the crystal ball seems familiar, but he can't place it.

"Your heart beats now with the power of the Omega Orb, and in my clutches is the Apha Orb."

So she possesses the same power used to resurrect him, but that's not what he's interested in.

"Who are you, and… who am I?" he asks.

The empoleon leans forward in a deep bow and gestures to him. Revenge struggles to release himself, but both of them ignore him.

"You may call me Myro the Entertainer," she says. "And I suppose I should call you… Lyle the Betrayer. After all, the only side you pick is your own. Fortunately, I don't want to be on your side. I only want to help you get your revenge on the one who killed you. Mr. Money is dead, but you can settle for the next best thing. What do you say?"

Lyle remembers the ones who called him his friends, but he only became a betrayer when they betrayed him. Not only his last friend, Venomitus, but the other two that made up Team Elemental. They will die, along with the remaining members of Team Gold.

"Good," she says. "I can see that you're thoroughly enraged, so I assume you're in agreement. Before we destroy them, however, we need to make a few stops first. In my scrying, I have found quite a few pokemon who hate them just as much as we do. First, Vanish and Kala here. Next, the ghoul Koncordia and her newfound companion. Thirdly, Palkia, if he decides to show his stupid face in this dimension again. Lastly, I'll pay my old friends Moon and Driller a visit. Come to think of it, that witch's necromancy would be perfect for a certain nidoking."

Relectanly, the blaziken nods his head. For now, all he wants is for those that wronged him to pay for their mistakes, but after that, he's going to rip the Omega Orb from his chest and send himself back to nothingness. There's nothing for him in the mortal world, and it will be the same when he dies again. Though, before he does that, he might lay waste to Myro and the rest of them. To him, the world could do without pokemon like he was when he was possessed by Deoxys.

All he wants is a world without evil, but he has no place in a world like that. The least he can do is take these evil pokemon with him before he leaves it behind again. Branna and Frost were his teammates, his friends, but when he was possessed, they didn't even try to save him. When he called for help within his mind, no one came.

Venomitus is the worst of them. After all, it was him who got him possessed in the first place.

This is the beginning of Arc 2, and boy is this fun. Special thanks to the characters, ideas, and constructive criticism from RodiumTech, RuGuard, and TheG0AT. I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. Any kind of feedback is appreciated, even the negative, so don't be afraid to tell me what's on your mind. Anyway, I have so much more in mind for this story and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
