The boat ride was uneventful, thank the stars. The only thing to note is that I got a Jecht Sphere. Lulu was learning white magic, while Yuna was learning black magic. Kimarhi was standing nearby as usual, while Ben and Rikku were practising stealing off of each other. Auron was under the deck with Drew, my best guess was they were practising forms.
We got there in record time. As soon as they let us out of the boat, I headed to the hidden outlet. Yuna and the rest followed even though Drew protested getting in the water. A little swimming was needed and I headed to deeper water. Yuna was beside me, with Drew beside her. As much as he protested, he promised Wakka and Tidus that he would guard us both. Ben, of course, was swimming on my other side, enjoying the water.
It only took two minutes to see the hidden inlet and the chest there. As soon as we entered the inlet, I walked over to the chest and opened it. Laying in the bottom was the Moon Crest, but that wasn't all that was in the chest. Lying beside it was another Crest. This was the Star Crest, and I bet you are wondering how I knew. Every crest had a picture on it, the Moon Crest had a moon emblem on it. This one had a star. Holy crap, I thought to myself, this must be for one of my party.
It took another two minutes to return to the normal shore. Our next stop was Kilika Island, and Yuna asked why.
"We have to collect the fiends for Auron's Sigil. So we are collecting fiends right now until Wakka and Tidus give us good news." I told her. She nodded understanding that we were doing something that needed to be done. So we were heading to Kilika, or so I thought. Yuna then asked if she could head to the village to talk to the Fayth.
I thought that it would be a good idea, so we headed to the village. When we got there, we were asked where Wakka was. We explained that he had business in Luca, and that is when I asked them something.
"Hey! When you see a ship singing the hymn of the Fayth, sing along! It will help us defeat Sin." After I said that, everyone nodded and promised to sing along. We headed to the temple after that.
Getting through the trial was easier this time, and in no time at all, we were in the chamber of the Fayth. It was crowded this time since everyone decided to enter with me and Yuna. As soon as we entered, the Fayth sprang to life.
"What do you need from me?" She asked. Yuna paused and asked her about Sin. That is when we were told about Yu Yevon and his eternal summoning. Yuna looked aghast at this revelation. But she turned to me, her eyes asking me if I knew. When both Auron and I nodded, she asked why. Auron stayed quiet, so I guessed I would be the one to tell her.
"Yu Yevon was a summoner in Zanarkand during the Machina War. Zanarkand held more summoners, while Bevelle had more machina. Yu Yevon created Sin using everyone in Zanarkand as a grand summon. They are tired, and we need to let them rest." I told her. She looked me in the eyes and asked if I would help her. My only spoken word was, "Always."
As soon as I spoke, Ben slapped his head with his hand and Drew made a strangled noise. I glared at both of them. Yuna looked curiously at me than them.
"It is something from my world," I told her as I stomped on Drew's foot. Drew's howl of pain meant that I hit my mark, and Ben moved farther away from me. Auron was snickering the whole time. Lulu's head was in her hand, and Rikku was looking just as confused.
I stomped out of the room, not caring who was following. I guess Drew and Ben, at least, were behind me due to the footsteps. I didn't know that the whole group was behind me. As I made my way out of the temple, I was stopped by a sight.
Cid stood in the middle of the village, taking in the whole village. Rikku noticed him next and ran over to him.
"Fryd yna oui tuehk rana vydran?" she asked him, almost yelling. Yuna and the rest looked at Rikku for a translation but she was too focused on her dad.
"I believe she said, what are you doing here father. Am I correct?" Looking at Cid. He nodded and told me that my Al Bhed was good. I laughed and told him that I guessed from the few words that I knew. Then he laughed. But that still didn't answer why he was here.
"All jokes aside, you have two very pleased looking boys waiting for you on deck." He told Yuna, a big smile plastered on his face. Yuna looked at me, and I knew who he was talking about.
We got to the airship to find Tidus and Wakka watching for us outside. As soon as we got close, they both started talking at once. I held out my hand, and the Jupiter Sigil was dropped into my hand by Tidus. They did as we needed them to do. That was a good sign for us. Cid asked where we were heading next.
"We are heading to Kilika Island next. We are now looking for things to unlock our special weapons to defeat Sin." Yuna spoke up before I could utter a word. Cid nodded and said that anywhere we needed to go, he would take us.
Kilika Forest is where we needed to go, but we had to stop for supplies first, and that meant we had to get off one of the remaining docks. Which was fine with me. Unloading everyone from the airship took a few minutes after we got there. I asked Cid for something very important.
"At some point, we will have to go to Bikanel Island. Would you take us?" I asked politely. He, of course, had to ask why and I told him that Rikku's weapon and items to unlock the weapon were there. He looked proud as punch hearing his little girl had a weapon made just for her. I knew that we had a way there, but first we had to deal with Kilika Forest.
It took a whole 3 days to catch every fiend in Kilika, but well worth it. Sweaty and tired, we made our way back to town. The townspeople looked at us as we passed by. One lady asked us if we would like to clean up at her house. I guess we looked that bad. But we had other things to worry about.
"We have a request. When you see an airship in the sky singing the Hymn, sing along. It will help us defeat Sin for good!" I asked the lady. She repeated the request and said she would tell everyone. With that out of the way, I asked Drew what I forgot to ask earlier.
"Do you know the name of your weapon?" He responded with a name, Dusk Breaker. Mine was Sakura in Bloom, and I told him it. When the lady overheard this, She spoke again.
"I couldn't help overhearing, but I think this might help you as well." In her hand was a Sigil. I took a good look at it, and it had a teardrop emblem. I pocketed it and thanked her with one hundred Gil. She tried to refuse, but I pressed the issue.
Yuna then asked if we could go to Bikanel Island next. When I asked why she just said that it felt like a good idea. I told her, okay but afterwards, we were going to Luca. She didn't argue.
So we headed to the airship, and Cid welcomed us by asking if we were going back to the Calm Lands. I told him that our next stop was Bikanel Island. With a yee-ha, we were off. While we waited to get there, we talked to Rin.
Somehow we got on the topic of Crests and Sigils. After Yuna pressured me to show one-off, Rin said he had something of interest to us. He held out his hand, so I held out an empty hand. An unknown Sigil was dropped into my hand. How did Rin have this? And more importantly what Sigil was it and who did it belong to?
I looked at the Sigil in my palm. It looked like a symbol for Earth. So it had to be for one of us, or someone we hadn't found yet. That got me to wondering who else could be here in Spira with us. That was three Sigils that we found that was not any of Yuna's gang. I knew that the only place I had not been was Bikanel Island, so it was a good idea to head there.
When Cid said we were close, I walked over to the computer and imputed the code word, GODHAND. Cid asked what I was doing and I told him that we were going to get Rikku's Celestial Weapon first. Once there, I told everyone to stay put except Rikku. She had to come with me. No one protested.
Rikku and I found the old chest fairly easily, and it took no time to open it with the Celestial Mirror. Rikku pulled it out and admired it. It fit her hand like a glove she said. That said, we headed back to the airship. I told Cid that we would travel all over the island, so to drop us at the oasis and pick us up near home. He had no problems with this and said he would meet us there.
Once there, we saw a young woman sitting by the edge. Yuna rushed over to see if she was injured, but all I could see was a scared girl who was lost. Her hair was brown and when she looked up, I saw something that I had hoped I wouldn't see here in Spira.
"Auntie! You look good. Where are we?" She spoke. It was her. My niece, Marrissa. I pulled her up to a standing position and brushed the sand off of her. I put my finger to my lips, and as she knew me, kept her mouth shut. I said I needed to talk to Marrissa and my guardians alone. Yuna knew that meant something was up. Once we were away from the rest, I addressed Marrissa.
"We are in a world that I know very well. In our world, it was a game. Now not so much. Now when we get back to the group, Marrissa, you will ask to become my guardian. I will accept, that means you will learn to fight and protect me for a little while longer. Can you do it?" I asked her. She nodded and my fifteen-year-old niece was ready. That is when I led her back to the group.
"Auntie. I want to become your guardian. Just like uncle. Can I?" she asked with a gleam in her eyes. I accepted and asked her what weapon she wanted to use. She looked at Lulu and said the cutest thing.
"I want to be just like her!" pointing at Lulu. That is when I asked Lulu if she would teach Marrissa black magic. Lulu agreed as long as I was there as well. I should have known that Lulu would want me there, as I picked up spells pretty quickly. That is when Marrissa looked to me.
"I found something while I was there in the water. Here, you can have it, auntie!" She held out her hand and dropped a Crest into my hands.
