Vector invited Daniel to stay the night at their home. Before they rested, Vector placed K. Rool's gem in a container on their shelf with other items. He decided not to sell it, since he thought it would disrespect the image of the fallen king.
The next day, Daniel decided to leave, but before he did, he thanked everyone for the experience he had. Team Chaotix knew they were going to miss him, but they accepted Daniel's decision.
Weeks after Daniel left, he began his life journey and attended school. He later graduated, attended college, graduated from college, and got married to a beautiful wife.
They had two children, who grew up to be very smart.
Twelve years after the events...
"Daddy," Daniel's son came up to him.
"Yes, John?"
"What is that?" He pointed.
Daniel looked to where little John was pointing to. It was the king's blunderbuss locked up in a safe.
"Would you like to see what's inside that safe?"
John nodded, looking excited.
Daniel stepped up and guided his son to the safe. He opened it and revealed the firearm that hadn't been touched for years.
"This is a blunderbuss. It's a very old weapon. One thing, though: it's not a toy, so you cannot touch this until you are much older."
"Awww," John groaned.
"Don't worry," Daniel reassured. "You'll soon get your hands on this beauty of a relic."
John looked around in the living room, spotting a photo in a frame.
"Who are they?"
Daniel looked up, and smiled. He put the blunderbuss away, closed the safe, stood up, and grabbed the picture. He brought John back to his seat to show him the photo.
"That is Tean Chaotix: a group of three detectives that helped me get to where I am right now."
"Is that you?"
"Yes, John," Daniel replied, chuckling afterwards. "That is a younger me, and that is Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy Bee."
John was just full of happiness. He was quite the curious child.
"When I grow up, I want to be like you all!"
Daniel grinned, nearly shedding a tear.
"You will, John. You soon will."
As Daniel's wife called them both to dinner, he placed his picture back on the shelf. He looked at the frozen image of Vector, and smiled once again.
"Thank you."
