Elsa was in her bedroom, sitting on her bed. She was still in a little bit of shock over what Hans had confirmed to her: Magic can given as a gift, curse, or a birthright. But it can also be learned, trained, and mastered.

Knock knock kn-knock knock!

Elsa smiled as she heard the familiar knock. "Come in, Anna."

The door opened and Anna, Wearing her light green nightgown, walked in. Her hair was all down. The Queen of Arendelle carefully sat down next to her sister.

"Hey, sis." Anna greeted.

"Hey."

"Heck of a day, huh?"

"Yeah… You can say that again."

"Can I have a hug?"

"Of course."

Anna smiled as she slowly wrapped her arms around Elsa's waist, laying her head in the crook of Elsa's neck, too which the older sister put her arms around Anna's shoulders.

"I love you, Elsa."

"I love you too, sis."

Knock knock knock

"Who is it?" Elsa asked.

"It's mother. May I come in?"

The sisters parted from their hug, with Anna wiping tears from her eyes.

"Of course, mother."

The door opened again and Iduna walked in, holding a pair of scissors in her hand.

"Ah, you're both here, perfect."

"What's with the scissors, mother?" Anna asked.

"Well… I wanted to ask if I could cut your hair."

Anna and Elsa's eyes widened.

"Whatever for?" Elsa asked.

"Well, it is royal tradition for a Queen to cut her hair before she goes to war."

Anna sighed. "Of course it is…"

"Anna, let me finish. I also wanted to do this because I haven't done it in years."

Anna smiled. "I suppose you're right."

Iduna smiled back.

Anna then sat in the chair in front of Elsa's mirror. Anna closed her eyes as Iduna began cutting her hair.

"You may open your eyes now, Anna." Iduna said about five minutes later.

Anna opened her eyes and gasped quietly, her hair now only went down to her neck.

"Did I do okay, darling?"

Anna smiled. "I love it! Thank you, mother!"

Iduna smiled back. "You are most welcome, my dear."

Elsa was next. The Snow Queen closed her eyes.

"Elsa? I'm finished." Iduna giggled after seven minutes.

Elsa opened her eyes again and saw that her hair was now shoulder-length, slightly longer than Anna's.

Elsa teared up as she turned to Iduna. "Thank you, mother."

Iduna took Elsa's hands, bringing them up to her lips as she kissed them lovingly. "You are welcome, my snowflake."

Elsa could barely hold back a sob.

"Now come. I'm gonna sing you both to sleep as well."

The sisters giggled, but joined their mother in laying on the bed. Elsa was on the right, Anna on the left, and Iduna in the middle. Iduna then began stroking her pinky fingers along the bridges of both her daughter's noses

"Where the north wind, meets the sea, there's a river, full a river, full of memories, sleep my darlings safe and sound, for in this river all is found~"

Iduna smiled as she saw both her daughters drifting off to sleep. She knew that things would change forever after the war, but she was not going to let it ruin this rare, stolen moment with her daughters.
