In Between Us
Chapter 7
Weeks Later
As much as i wouldn't admit it. My talk with Taylor has lingered in my head for days. She was right. Why do i always put my feelings to the side. Feeling the overwheling need to make nice. I made the choice i did and i take responsibility for it. But that didn't give Nathan a free pass to do whatever he wanted. Forget meeting with Rachel. If she wanted to talk she would contact me through Nathan i wasn't going to give her any more thought then that.
As for my pregnancy i was now 12 weeks along. In my 3rd month. The babies were the size of two limes. I was clearly showing now. My clothes were starting to no longer fit. Thankfully my mother came to the rescue and started taking me shopping for maternity clothes. With the help of my sisters the items i picked out were transformed into more fashionable looking clothes. Being pregnant and estranged from my husband was hard enough considering we went to the same high school and people had nothing else to gossip over. It didn't help that Rachel and I shared classes together.
Everytime i saw her it was a reminder of what happened.
...
Nathan closed the front door and sat down in front of his lawyer.
"What can i do for you today Nathan.?" The older man asked.
"I need the divorce papers i signed to be destroyed. When i signed them i wasn't in the right state of mind. I'm planning to do everything and anything it takes to save my marriage. I love my wife. I can't lose her." Nathan proclaimed.
...
Nathan started to finally feel somewhat settled in his new home. Much to Brooke's dismay he had moved out of her home sooner rather then later he would be becoming a father to three children that would need a place to go and spend time when he had them.
This house had four bedrooms not including the master suite upstairs. He had tapped into his hidden accounts. A benefit from being emanicipated from his parents and growing up in the household he did. You didn't reveal some things until it was needed and sometimes not at all.
...
"Are you sure it's alright that i stay here.?" Rachel asked.
Brooke smiled warmly at her friend. "Of course. That guest room downstairs is empty and is plenty of room for the baby. Plus having you're company is an added bonus. You get settled in i'll be upstairs if you need anything." She said.
"We'l be fine thank you." Rachel said. As the front door to her bedroom closed in front of her. She placed her hand on her stomach. She was 8 weeks along now. Nathan had kept true to his word about being there for both herself and Haley. She hated it how jealous she felt. Whenever Haley was around.
...
Lucas let her go from his grasp. "We need to make it a point to see each other more. This random encounters aren't enough." He said.
Haley nodded her head in agreement.
Lucas took a deep breath. And looked to Haley.
"What happened between you, Brooke and Peyton.? You've been keeping you're distance from me for awhile." He questioned.
"They confronted me at my house. They said alot of un kind things to put it mildly along with accusing me of lying about who the father of my baby is. Which is a line i never thought they would cross."
"Honestly it's my own fault for expecting loyalty and understanding. I was the outsider looking in for i was never apart of the group like i thought i was. "
"I loved him and supported him to the best of my ability and when i decide to take a chance on myself and my career he can't handle it and hooks up with Rachel. She's having his child too. Our life will always include her and that baby. I don't know if i'm capable of forgiving him. Loving him or trusting i once did. Haley admitted.
