Chapter Twenty Three
"I want to leave. Now!"
Frieza was shocked to find her in such a state, especially after how Zarbon had told him how much she didn't want to go to the saiyans. It made him worry about what made her like this. She couldn't possibly have found out the truth. Not with the way she looked. Tears were freely falling from her eyes and rage shinned in her eyes. "What happened?"
Zabon's code was entered and he walked in the room. "Bulma, the whore has been taken care of and Jeice..." Bulma's energy flared when he said the bastard's name. "He'll be in the regeneration tank for the next few days.
"Lord Frieza, I wish to leave now." Bulma said after taking a few breaths.
A look of confusion directed towards Zarbon made the blue man clear his throat. "Jeice was caught fucking a whore by Bulma."
Frieza nodded and looked at the saiyan. "Bulma, The saiyans sent a package to you that just arrived. I believe you should open it before you get ready for your next mission."
"Of course Lord Frieza." Bulma said and a low leveled servant walked in, carrying a box. Bulma took it from him and it was cold. Opening it, she saw an older man's frozen head. "A... Head?" She said before flashes of memory came to her. Walking into her house smelling blood, she found a woman in the kitchen who was covered in, what seemed to be, her own blood. Her shoulders were out of place and a hole blasted through her chest. Walking away from the woman, she went into a room and saw a man that seemed to be tortured to death. His bones broken, bleeding from many places. His clothes burnt, skin scorched. There was the strong scent of decaying flesh that mingled with burnt hair. His head was severed from the body, making a clean ki cut, but nowhere to be found. Bulma was brought back to the present as she focused in on the head. "This was his head." She thought. "This was" Her eyes widened in remembrance. "Father." She whispered. How long ago was that? It had to have been many years ago, when she was still living on that planet. Why would they send this to her? She didn't want to touch the head but saw a piece of paper, folded beside it. Reaching in, she grabbed it, pulled it out and read it to herself. "Reminding you where your place is. –King Vegeta" Bulma glared at the note. Where her place was? How dare the saiyans bring back such an awful memory. They just threw it in her face that they were the ones who killed her parents and exiled her. But why do such a thing just before she got to their planet? To make her angry? But what about what the prince told her? Were those just lies to get her to trust them? What was their plan once she got to the planet? She couldn't possibly trust them now... Her face turned into a deep scowl as she turned to the other two in the room. The two men watching her carefully. "What is it that you want me to accomplish on this saiyan mission?"
"I want you to do what you do best. Infiltrate their hierarchy, and make the entire saiyan race crumble form the inside out."
Bulma nodded at the lizard's words. "I ask you a favor Lord Frieza."
"What is that?" Fireza asked carefully. He had to watch what he said right now to make this transition go smoothly. Jeice already fucked it up enough. The soldier was lucky that he was a pawn in the game. The Ginyu force would have to train and power up exponentially because of his mistake.
"I want to be the one to kill the king." Bulma said in a cold, unfeeling voice that made even Zarbon shudder a little.
"When the time comes, you may do the honors but not until I tell you to do so."
"Yes sir."
"Now, go and pack for your next mission and your pod will be ready in an hour."
Bulma sighed at the thought of being in one of those cramped space pods but it was a solo mission so instead of wasting resources, she needed to take a pod. She left the room to head to her bedroom and no one dared look in her direction as she walked. Bulma let tears fall all the way to her room and she started packing different clothes for her trip to the saiyan planet. she had read somewhere that it was a warmer planet so she didn't pack many warm things. Mostly training shorts and tops. She would ware her armor there in case she had a battle when she landed. There was no telling what was going to happen when she got there.
An hour later, Bulma walked towards the docks of the ship and a scowl never left her face. Tears had stopped and dried, leaving her eyes a bit puffy and red. Frieza stood at the docks next to a round pod. The pod she assumed she would be taking to the saiyan planet. "Fuck that looks cramped." Bulma thought to herself and walked up to Frieza before bowing before him.
"I expect a call once a week minimum for an update on your mission." Bulma stood at her leader's words and nodded. "And Bulma, dear, don't let what he did get to you. He will be punished. You just need to focus on what needs to be done."
Getting into the pod, Lord Frieza's words echoed in her mind. "Focus..." The pod left the dock and flew out, in the direction of the saiyan planet. The young saiyan pushed the sleep gas and it immediately put her to sleep. There was no way that she would go so long in the cramped space without losing her mind.
Prince Vegeta quickly walked out of the meeting room. His father had just told him that Bulma would be landing several hours early and so would land in just a few minutes. He almost couldn't hold back his excitement as he all but sprinted to the landing docks. When he walked out onto the platform, the space pod landed and opened to reveal a beautiful blue haired saiyan who had obviously just woken as she stretched and rubbed her eyes.
Bulma looked at her surroundings and had to hold back from rolling her eyes as she saw the prince walking towards her. "Prince." The word was emotionless as she stood and stretched even more. It struck her as odd that the prince was the only one around. Prepared for an ambush, the blue saiyan walked up to the prince smiling. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes." her words felt wrong but the sounded true.
Vegeta smirked and pulled her into an embrace. Stopping just before kissing her, Vegeta felt something at the back of his head. It was a numb feeling and it felt wrong. It was unlike what he had felt with her on the ship a month ago. What had changed within her?
Bulma, playing her part, slowly kissed his lips before standing beside him and smiling. Lord Frieza's words still lingering in her mind. "Focus." His words rang true as she walked beside the prince. There was a feeling in the back of her mind saying that she needed to be excited and there was a small amount of concern for her well being. These feelings confused her as they didn't feel like her own. "Where is everyone?" She asked, breaking the silence as they walked inside.
"Working, training, living their lives. My brother is around here somewhere. My parents are in the meeting room with a few others. Raditz and Nappa are probably in their training rooms." The younger saiyan nodded and followed him.
Walking through the halls, Bulma took note of the different escape routes and where others might be hiding."Where are you taking me?" Bulma's paranoia starting to go to the front of her mind again. When she last saw them, it was their goal to get her to this planet. Now that she was here, what were they planning with her? Everyone had an alternative motive.
Vegeta turned around confused, "To your living quarters..." The older saiyan could feel in the back of his mind that something was wrong... something had happened to Bulma. Something she didn't want to talk about. Turning the corner, he stopped and looked at her. "What's wrong?"
"Focus." Bulma berated herself mentally. How could he read that she wasn't right? Outwardly though, Bulma looked at him confused. "What do you mean?"
Vegeta rolled his eyes. "What are you hiding?"
Bulma's confusion turned annoyed and angry. "I'm not hiding anything Prince."
Vegeta pressed against her so that her back was against the wall and his hands on the wall at her sides. His head next to her's and whispered in her ear. "Don't lie to me. Something's on your mind and you are hoping I don't ask the right question to get the answer. Now, I will ask this again. You will not lie to me and you will tell the truth. What are you hiding?"
Bulma pushed him off of her and ran. There was no way that she would talk about what was on her mind. "Focus." Frieza's word stayed in her mind. Unknowingly, Bulma flew right towards the training grounds. It was when she saw Raditz and Nappa that she stopped.
"Bulma?" Raditz asked just before a foot landed against his face and he was tossed against the wall.
"Don't try to distract me. I know that she won't be leaving the Prince's sight and I don't see Prince Vegeta's sight." Nappa said walking over to the other saiyan, helping him up.
"I'm not what?" Bulma asked walking over to them. Nappa and Raditz looked at her shocked and then bowed. "What are you doing?" The blue saiyan crossed her arms in, what the other two could call, a very Vegeta like fashion.
"They are bowing to their prince." Bulma heard behind her, causing her to look back shocked at the prince. He had a scowl on his face "If you'd like, I will show you to your training room."
Bulma glared at him but only so he would see and once she turned so the others could see her, her expression was back to it's soft smile. "Of course. I'm always ready to train." She followed the prince down the hall of training rooms and Vegeta pushed a button to the room at the end of the hall. The room opened to a large white training room with windows that showed out towards the city and the mountains in the background. "Beautiful." She whispered and walked to the window. The city was a sight to see and the nature behind it was breath taking. Red sand was unmistakable and the Maroon sky was lit up by the warm sun that felt lovely to have the sun's rays hit her skin.
"What gravity are you at?"
Bulma looked behind her. She had almost forgot that she wasn't alone. "I... 700." Her mind becoming clearer the longer she was in here.
Vegeta nodded and turned the gravity up to 700. He hadn't gotten that high but he also hadn't expected her to go that high. It was a strain on him as he got used to the new force. Looking her up and down, Vegeta smirked. The woman bluffed. She also looked to be struggling too. "You ready?" He said slowly walking towards her.
"Always." Bulma glared at the man in front of her. She wasn't going to be beat by this saiyan. Flying was out of the question until she got used to the gravity as she couldn't let him see her weakness. Running as fast as she could under the gravity, Bulma went to punch him and hit his chest, knocking him down and she couldn't control her power enough as to not go down with him.
Vegeta grunted as Bulma fell onto him. "Fuck you're heavy." Pushing her off of him, he moves over her but made sure not to crush the beauty. "But I can still take you." He smirked before being punched in the face.
"Get off of me!" Bulma grunted kneeing him in the groin. Regretting it instantly though as the man collapsed her. "And you say I'm heavy." her voice strained and her breathing started to pick up as the scent of the prince entered her nose. It was almost intoxicating... Almost. Bulma grunted as it took all of her effort to roll him off of her body and stand. Something had definitely broken when he fell.
"How the fuck do you work this thing?" Her voice hoarse from the air being forced out of her.
Vegeta took a minute to distract his mind from the pain coming from between his thighs. "Tell me what you don't want to talk about." He sat up and looked at her.
Bulma glared at him. How dare he bring up what she doesn't want to talk about. "You have no right."
"I have all the right. What happened to you? What did they do to hurt you?"
"Hurt me? Them? What about you and your father? Huh?" Tears started to fall, unable to stop them. All that flashed in her mind was her father's head. she remembered her father's head. Suppressed memories coming back. Memories that the saiyans had taken from her.
"What are you talking about? It was because of my father's efforts that you are able to come here. Isn't that what you wanted? To be able to escape? To come with me? What the fuck did that lizard do to you to change your mind? What lies have you been told that you don't trust me anymore?" Vegeta was now standing and walking closer to her. He felt like he was losing her but only, she was right here, right in front of him. Was she already too far gone? He put his hand on the wall to help him stand. The gravity was taking the toll on his body. "Where's my Bulma?" He whispered before putting his hand to his face, biting the middle finger of his glove to take it off. Putting his bare hand on the controls, the gravity instantly lifted. "Because you are not her." With that, he left the room and went to his bedroom.
Bulma hated that he got the last word but she couldn't bring herself to follow. Sitting against the wall, the young saiyan cried and didn't leave the room until there was no more light from outside. Walking to the window, her mind started to wonder. Didn't she create the gravity room? How did the gravity room work with a glass window? How did they get this technology? With no tools, Bulma realized that she never got to see where she was to sleep for her time here. On her walk, trying to remember where she had originally been when the prince was showing her to the rooms, Bulma thought about how she was to complete her mission. So much had gone on in the past month, had she really changed that much? Had her month alone with Zarbon made her deception abilities go soft? How did the Prince know that something wasn't right with her? Her mind had been distant since the incident with her ex. A new scowl on her face, she thought about what she would do to the whore if she were still alive... what she would do to Jeice had she stayed until she was scheduled to leave... Her feet traveled without direction and when her mind came to her surroundings, Bulma looked around and saw that she was at a dead end and in front of her was a door. Quietly opening the door, she looked around. It was a huge room and her scouter said that no one was in here so she walked in to look around. There was a sitting area next to another large window that overlooked the city. Sitting on one of the couches that over looked the red landscape, Bulma relaxed and fell asleep. It had been a long day for her and hopefully tomorrow would be better.
AN: First off, I am saddened to find that TFS DBZA is stopping. I love them and wish them the best in what they are currently working on. I hope yall enjoy this chapter as it was a little bit harder to write. I don't always like writing the in between/ transition chapters but I hope this pleases you.
BV4ever, I am so glad you're so invested in this story. I've had a lot of free time to write and a lot of inspiration lately.
