Chapter 12- That was weird

The next morning, Valerie was still thinking about what she'd seen the night before. Dean came and saw them, but Valerie couldn't talk to either of the brothers about what she had seen, because of all the nurses and doctors constantly running in and out of their room. Finally, at around lunch time, the three had a moment alone

"Okay, so I gotta tell you something, doctor Richardson, he-", before Valerie could finish her sentence, doctor Richardson entered the room.

"So, I see you're all here, good", the doctor said, pulling out his chart, he motioned for Dean to sit down on a chair, "So, Valerie, Sam, we are almost ready to discharge you, we just wanna keep you here one more night, and the you can leave in the morning. We will provide you with a wheelchair for Valerie, and some painkillers for you, Sam. How does that sound?"

"Sounds great, doc", Dean said

"Great, then i'll leave you three alone", doctor Richardson left the room, and Dean turned to Valerie

"You were saying something about doctor Richardson before he came into the room, what?", he asked her

"Last night, I woke up, was gonna get some water. I saw doctor Richardson rush past our room, it looked like he was wiping blood off his mouth, and then he looked at me all weird and smiled", Sam and Dean looked at eachother, "okay look, I know what you're thinking, I was probably still affected by the painkillers or something, but I know what I saw!"

"Okay okay, we believe you. But just because you saw him wiping something from his mouth, doesn't mean its blood", Sam said

"Yeah, alright, all i'm saying is that that guy gives me the creeps".

Later that day

Dean suddenly came into Sam and Valerie's room, looking worried, he checked to see if they were alone, "okay, so the princess might be right, something's definitely off about the doctor", Sam sat up in his bed looking vigilant.

"What do you mean?", he said

"I was worried about what Val said, so I followed doctor Richardson all the way down to this room, where they keep all the coma patients without families", Dean said

"And what happened?", Valerie asked

"He fed on them"

"What?", Sam said

"He's a vampire, and he's feeding on his patients, the unconscious ones, for now"

"So what do we do? I mean, I'm not exactly in the best shape", Valerie said, looking between the two brothers

"We do what we always do, kill him", Dean said

"Great, I love your confidence, but um how do we do that?", Valerie asked

"We ambush him while he's feeding", Sam said.

4:00 am

They had waited until it was nighttime to carry out their plan. Valerie obviously couldn't go anywhere, so Sam was staying back to protect her, in case there was more than one vampire, or if doctor Richardson somehow escaped Dean.

Sam and Valerie were waiting nervously for something to happen when, suddenly, Dean barged in the room, looking distressed

"So, plan didn't work out, doc's headed here right now", he said while locking the door, and handing Sam an axe, they both positioned themselves in front of Valerie's bed, and suddenly they heard several vampires banging on the door.

"There's more of them?!", Valerie asked

"Apparently there's an entire nest", Dean said

"Awesome", Sam said.

The vampires broke through the door and jumped at Sam and Dean, who tried their best to keep the vamps away from Valerie. And the ones that did manage to get past them, Valerie kept away to her best ability. Suddenly, Valerie got and idea, she wasn't sure it was even going to work, but it was their best option. "Sam, Dean move!", she yelled at them, they immediately moved out of her way, and she closed her eyes, stretched out her arms, and gathered as much strength and mental serenity as she could. Then, with an incredible amount of exertion, she pushed all of the vampires out of the room, and then she picked up the axes, with her mind, and while still holding back the vampires, she used the axes to decapitate all of the vampires. As soon as all the vampires were dea, the axes dropped to the ground, meanwhile, Sam and Dean were just staring at her in awe, until Valerie fell back down on the bed, very out of breath and looking extremely tired, they rushed to her side to make sure she was okay

"Okay we are getting you two discharged first thing tomorrow", Dean said

"Yup", Sam said, holding a hand on Valerie's arm.

The three of them somehow managed to hide the corpses of the vampires, Valerie of course wasn't able to help that much, but she tired using the last of her powers to make the process easier.

The next day (Or technically the same)

Dean was signing the last of the discharge papers, while Sam and Valerie were waiting for him. Valerie was sitting in her new wheelchair, barely keeping herself awake, she was still very exhausted from their nightly activities. When Dean finished signing the papers, the three of them went out to the car, Sam pushing Valerie, and when the got to the car, Dean carried Valerie while Sam put her wheelchair in the trunk.

On their way home, Valerie was sleeping in the backseat, and Sam and Dean were in the front, sitting in silence

"So how's sleeping beauty doing back there?", dean, who was driving, asked. Sam turned around and looked at Valerie

"She's still asleep"

"Well she earned it"

"Yeah, she's had a rough couple of days", Sam said, still looking at Valerie

"You both have"

"Yeah, heh", Sam said, not entirely convinced

"Listen to me, Sammy, you can't blame yourself. It was a friggin car accident, of all things. It was a hit and run, no one could have predicted that that car was gonna hit you", Dean said, looking intently at Sam, who seemed to not entirely accept it, but he was on his way to doing so.

Valerie slept the whole ride, and didn't wake up until she felt Dean carrying her into her room and putting her on the bed, and even then, she just went back to sleep.
