So, this is a relatively short chapter, and it's breaking my 3k word minimum by like 400 words, but I'll allow it just this once.
Anyways, enjoy
-=Gem Warship=-
-=Steven/Spinel=-
Steven had ordered Lion to wait in an open area of the ship as he made his way to the command center, ready to give orders to the Gems who had come to this town. "You, who's in charge around here?" Steven questioned a short Gem with short white hair.
"That would be me, my Diamond." She spoke softly yet respectfully as she formed a Diamond salute. "The others have spread out to the humans' military bases that we were able to locate through the satellites, something we learned when the technicians who set the bombs up came here."
"Hm, weren't exactly my orders, but initiative can be good I guess." The monarch spoke with a sigh as he looked down upon the city from the large window that was in the room. "Those damn Rebels are hiding somewhere around here, do they really think they can-" Steven was quickly interrupted by blaring alarms and flashing red lights. "What's the fuck now?"
"Um, it seems we have an intruder?" The smaller Gem spoke as she went through the security systems. "How would you like to proceed? They're wearing a cloak of some kind and they're just poofing Gems left and right while approaching..." she seemed to check the intruder's direction. "they're coming for us."
"God damnit, turn that blaring noise off, I'll deal with it." He spoke as he passed Spinel who had stayed relatively quiet throughout this. "Spinel, you stay here and don't interfere, your weapon is still being worked on."
"Alright, just be careful." She spoke hesitantly as Steven summoned a shield and his arm blade, the Diamond approaching the door.
Steven didn't even reach the door before it exploded open, sending him flying back and tumbling to the ground, which he recovered from by rolling backwards and onto his feet, though this resulted in his weapons dissipating. Standing before him was a being that had to be maybe seven feet tall, but for some reason, Steven couldn't sense any Gem energy from them. "Who the hell are you and why are you here?"
"You don't remember me?" The being spoke as he slowly approached the teen, his voice distorted by a voice changer of some kind, the large figure reaching up for his hood. "How about now?" He questioned before he ripped the cloak off, revealing Uncle Grandpa who stood at a mere 5'7. "Good morning."
"Stars no, not this fool again." Steven spoke quietly through gritted teeth. "What business do you have here old man?"
"Haha, old man? You don't know the half of it." He spoke with a chuckle before stretching on of his noodle-like arms around the monarch, much to Spinel's surprise as that was her thing. "As for why I'm here, well you're kinda wrecking up the planet, kid, and like I say, you gotta chiggity check yourself before you wriggity wreck yourself."
"If you think for even a second that you're going to prevent me from colonizing earth-" The hybrid began, obviously becoming annoyed with the old man.
"Don't worry Steven, just like last time, this isn't cannon." He reassured the teen as he pulled a cannon out of Belly Bag, Steven being hit with a wave of déjà vu as the man pointed it towards the window of the ship. "But this is." He grinned, referencing his previous visit before shooting a cannonball out the glass surface, Spinel barely ducking under it with a 'Hey!'.
-=With Kevin=-
Kevin had decided against leaving his car behind, so here he was, looking at the yellow vehicle that was missing it's hood. "What the heck did my car ever do to any of you?!" He shouted out as he threw his hands up in the air before he was crushed by the cannonball that Uncle Grandpa shot out of the ship.
-=Back On The Ship=-
At this point, the hole was blocked off with plywood that was screwed into the glass, only resulting in more cracks where each screw entered. "So Steven, you look different." He spoke as he dusted off his hands. "But from one canceled show to another, I liked the old design better,"
"I wasn't canceled, we had a proper ending that wasn't forced on us, unlike you with your mindless show- ugh, it doesn't matter, you need to leave now." Steven spoke threateningly as his pink eyes glowed.
"Oh, I see you got some fancy eyes now? I can do that too." He spoke before pulling his eyeballs out and flipping them around to reveal eyes that matched the color of his mustache, though what caught Steven's attention was the diamond pupils. "Anyways, no can do on the whole leaving thing, you're kinda destroying the earth."
"I'm giving it a better purpose and wiping the organic filth from the surface of the planet. Now if you don't want to end up like them, I suggest you do as I say and leave." The Diamond continued.
"Oh come on, I thought we had fun last time I was here, what happened to turn you so edgy?" Uncle Grandpa questioned as he opened Belly Bag. "Maybe I should get more on your level, huh?" He questioned before pulling a white sheet from the red fanny pack, said sheet obscuring Steven's view, only for him to see Uncle Grandpa wearing black clothes with long black hair that was brushed off to the side, as well as a choker and eyeliner. "How do I look?"
Steven was beyond irritated with the shapeshifter at the point, so he re-summoned his arm blade and drove it straight into the old man's face, slamming the multidimensional being into the ground, only to realize that he only succeeded in pushing his face into his head, but he didn't even pierce the skin.
Uncle Grandpa, who now wore his regular attire, just stood up and pulled his nose off, wiping it clean with his forearm. "So, you wanna talk about what got you here? I'm sensing a hint of betrayal, maybe a truckload of mental trauma? Come on, what's on your mind buddy?" He asked as he reattached it.
"What would you know? You aren't even a cannon part of this universe." Steven spat with a glare with his arms crossed, the teen obviously annoyed.
"I know everything, I've been watching you ever since my episode five years ago." The reality warping being spoke with a shrug as he pulled out every dvd for the show ever released. "I even got a Spotify playlist with all the music; you know: 'Gee, it's swell to finally meet her other friends.'." He sung with jazz hands. "That one is a real head banger."
Steven of course had never heard that song in his life, so he was left just confused at this point. "Oh, right, you didn't go through the whole 'Gem tries to destroy earth and kill me after I fixed homeworld' thing, but then again, it seems you're living through that right now, just from the other side."
"Oh great, even if I went through the effort to change Homeworld, I still would've had Gems trying to end my life, what a surprise." Steven spoke sarcastically. "Now if you're done chatting, I have a planet to colonize."
"Ok, listen...no more jokes, no more silliness, just a normal conversation and some proper help." Uncle Grandpa spoke before tossing a circular black sheet of paper on the floor. "Let's go somewhere more private then."
Before Steven could even object, Uncle Grandpa pushed him down, the hybrid falling into the black circle on the ground before the being followed by the man, leaving a panicked Spinel to try and join them, only to land on a normal sheet of paper. "Wh-What? Steven, wait, come back!"
With the other two, Steven was falling upside down with his arms crossed and a glare on his face, while Uncle Grandpa could be seen wearing a blue suit and glasses, the old man had a clipboard as a chair appeared below the two of them, both beings sitting down despite the fact that they were still falling. "So, fist therapy session is free; we'll be addressing issues you've had with your friends and family, as well as your lifestyle: sacrificing yourself, letting others throw you around, and just over all getting involved in Gem stuff."
"None of that matters now, I'm working for the betterment of Homeworld, I could care less about any personal relationships I had with those rebels." Steven responded as he crossed his arms and legs. "The only reason I'm trying to kill them is because they're rebels."
"Mhm, mhm." Uncle Grandpa nodded as he wrote something down on the paper that he had on his clipboard. "It looks to me like you still hold a personal grudge against them, otherwise, you wouldn't be dealing with them yourself."
"The only reason I even tried fighting them myself was so I could fight the Lazuli one on one, but she was nowhere to be found." Steven said with a roll of his eyes. "I'm unsurprised that she would be so cowardly."
"Okay, and you're going to try and tell me that this has nothing to do with everything you've been through in the past year? Almost aging to death, destroying half of Fun Land, having to go and get the ocean back from Lapis, having to witness your parental figure get stabbed through the chest, getting your face smashed in by Jasper, Peridot almost killing you and your family multiple times, Malachite, the Cluster, that time you were stuck inside that Topaz fusion while your friends' lives were on the line, sacrificing yourself to homeworld so they wouldn't be hurt, watching your friend die in your arms, returning to find out your other friend was mad at you and refusing to talk to you for saving her life with that sacrifice, throwing those Rubies into space, having to bubble Bismuth, watching Jasper corrupt, learning of those forced fusions, learning of what kind of person your mother really was, having to go to space and deal with everything you had to there, and much, much more."
"That's what got me this far, but I'm doing this for Homeworld now!" He insisted, obviously having a nerve struck by that long list of things that a kid should never have to experience. "You have no idea who I am now; I am Pink Paragon, a member of the Diamond Authority, and the one who's going to colonize earth, as this planet is my birthright!"
"Steven, that list I just gave, do you remember why you went through all that?" Uncle Grandpa being a lot more serious than he probably ever had before, as this was a real and delicate situation that he had to approach with sincerity.
"Because I was thrown to the Gems by my negligent father, only for them to allow me to get involved with Gem stuff, something Rose allegedly never wanted, even if it was just so no one would ever find where she was hiding." Steven answered, believing this to be true.
"No, you went through all that for the sake of your planet, for the safety of your friends, to make sure your family was protected, and to help everyone you ever came across, because that is who you really are." The man spoke as he stretched a hand out and set it on Steven's shoulder.
Steven let out an almost animalistic growl as he summoned his flat blade and sliced the old man's arm off. "You don't know anything about who I am! You have no idea what I've been through!" He shouted with tears in his eyes. "You don't know what it's like to have my childhood! No one know's what it's like to have the life that I have! I'm sick and tired of everyone just thinking they can make things better, when there is no one out there who understands me! I am the only hybrid in this universe, I am the only one who had to grow up with traumatic event after traumatic event like this, and if what you said about that Gem coming to earth to kill me, then that just means it never ends!"
"But how I am now...no one will ever put me through that again, I will be my own person and have my own cause, and I will wipe the universe of those who have brought me to this point!" He shouted before slamming his sword down Uncle Grandpa's middle, cutting him perfectly in half, which only resulted in there being two Uncle Grandpas instead of the one.
"Of course no one in this universe is like you or has gone through what you have, and I understand that would make you feel alone, especially when you can't even trust that your own family will be there for you without escalating the situation, but this isn't the answer." They spoke before merging back into one.
"Then...what? What else can I do to make sure I never have to go through this pain ever again? All I ever wanted as a kid was to help save the world from monsters like the others..." He spoke as he dropped his weapon, tears falling down his face. "but now, there is nothing I wouldn't do to just have a normal childhood as a normal human kid...I feel like that isn't too much to ask."
"And your solution to that was to destroy the only planet that would give you that life?" Uncle Grandpa questioned the teen. "Listen, I don't normally do this because it's morally wrong, but it's not like you can ever live a normal life here at this point. Steven, I can bring you back. I can make it so you never have to deal with any of this, and you remember none of what has happened. You won't have your gem, and you'll have both of your parents...would you like that?"
"You can do that? You can take all of this away? I can have a normal life, with two parents?" He asked as he looked the man in his eyes, the teen obviously one hundred percent for this. "Yes, that's all I want anymore..."
"Alright then." Uncle Grandpa said as he pulled a portal gun from Belly Bag. "Uncle Grandpa, I have to morally protest to this, this would wipe his universe from existence." The living fanny pack spoke up, obviously uncomfortable with deleting an entire universe. "Universe, schmuniverse, it's my job to help all the kids in the world." The magical being spoke with a grin before shooting out a portal.
Steven looked back to him only one time before walking through said portal as the universe he had come from slowly began to atomize, though it's not like he would have to worry about that...he would never have to worry about anything ever again.
-=End of Chapter=-
UG: Aaaannnd scene. Yup I think I handled that pretty well if I do say so myself.
BB: Uncle Grandpa, you just deleted an entire universe, this has to be your most destructive escapade yet. Though I will admit, you were being very uncharacteristically serious.
UG: That boy needed therapy, not an adventure. I think things will turn out just fine for him, as for his old universe, at least no one has to suffer anymore.
BB: Riiiggghhhht...Anyways, you want to say the thing so we can end this?
UG: Oh, right, Ahem, happy April first! Good morning, good morning, and good morning, we'll see you all again soon. Good morning!
