Chapter 11 training continues

The cats and the fairies stood outside the dorms feeling pretty down. They suddenly looked up to see a fairy arriving. It cheered the cats up a bit.

"Is that the Enchantress?" asked Sandstorm to Firestar in a whisper.

Firestar nodded.

The Enchantress floated above the cats and fairies.

"Heads up," said the Enchantress kindly. "I need you all to be brave and strong. With the guardians unavailable, it's up to you to step in and perform the flight of spring."

"Us?" cried Shimmer. "But we're not ready!"

"We haven't trained enough!" cried Faban unsurely.

"I see very bad things happening if we try this" agreed Lumina in her mystic voice.

"I see very bad things happening if you don't" countered the Enchantress. She used her magic to created an image of the crystal palace courtyard where a beautiful pink flower bud was standing in the center.

"In two days, the blush will be ready for the flight of spring," explained the Enchantress. "I will train you personally. And I have some more friends who will also help with the training."

With a wave of her hand, three stars floated down from the night sky. The cats and the fairies watched as the floated down and landed next to the Enchantress. The stars then turned into the shapes of cats.

The cats could tell they were very familiar cats as the light faded. The first cat had pale blue-grey fur and blue eyes.

"Bluestar!" cried Jayfeather seeing the previous leader of Thunderclan before Firestar.

The second had dark grey fur and orange eyes.

"Yellowfang!" cried Leafpool.

The last one was a tortoiseshell cat with white fur and amber eyes.

"Spottedleaf!" both Firestar and Sandstorm cried. They were very happy to see her. Firestar loved the former medicine cat. Although Sandstorm was aware, he had feelings for her, she knew Firestar still loved her too and respected that and Spottedleaf.

"The Enchantress has summoned us from Starclan," declared Spottedleaf kindly. "To help her train you apprentices to perform the flight of spring."

"If Fairytopia falls, it will not be for lack of trying" said the Enchantress warmly.

"She is right," said Bluestar in the same warm voice. "Warriors have to at least try to fight to defend the clans, so you've got to at least try to perform the flight."

"Can we count on you?" asked the Enchantress.

Elina stepped up. "You can count on me" she declared.

"I'm in too" added Sunburst stepping up determinedly too.

Shimmer gave a small smile and slowly stepped up too.

Then the other apprentices stepped up.

Firestar flew up to the cat spirits.

"Bluestar, Yellowfang, Spottedleaf, you can count on us too," said Firestar as the other cats flew up to join them. "We will watch the flight of spring from around the palace to keep watch to keep the palace and the blush secure."

"You never fail to make us proud Firestar" said Yellowfang in her rare gentle voice.

"Then we're all in this together," declared the Enchantress. "And together we are strong."

The cats were happy, it was just like when their clan and the other clans would put their differences aside to work together to keep the forest safe.

But nobody, not even the cat spirits could see the evil smirks on Sunburst and Brambleclaw's faces.

The next day the Enchantress and the spirits continued the apprentices training. The Enchantress and Bluestar did magic class with Glee and Faban. The Enchantress demonstrated the technique.

The two apprentices copied the Enchantress it did alright, but Faban accidently lost control and splashed himself.

Bluestar tried to hold back her laugh and kept a serious composer and looked at the Enchantress.

"Well at least their trying" she said.

The Enchantress and Yellowfang taught flance with Shimmer, Linden and Lumina. The three apprentices were doing very doing very well dancing on the colored gems until they went in different directions and ran into each other and fell into the water.

"Be careful!" snapped Yellowfang.

The Enchantress shook her head.

The Enchantress and Spottedleaf taught luminescence with Elina and Sunburst. Elina concentrated and sent a blue light into the flower and made it coax open.

But Elina couldn't hold it and let it go.

"Very good Elina," said Spottedleaf. "But try to keep it going longer next time."

The apprentices wouldn't give up though.

Glee and Faban were able to make the water move rise without any trouble.

"Well done you two" declared Bluestar.

Shimmer, Linden and Lumina were able to do the Flance very well the second time and they even did good without the colored gems.

"Very impressive" declared Yellowfang.

Finally, Elina and Sunburst used their inner light together they were able to hold it for a long time and make the flower bloom. The Enchantress and Spottedleaf were very proud of the two.

But nobody knew was that Sunburst was really Laverna and Brambleclaw was really Hawkfrost.

Author's note; The special guests I've told you about are Bluestar, Yellowfang and Spottedleaf. And don't worry their gonna figure out the disguises of Laverna and Hawkfrost.
