Previously on Frenemies:
Sakura had obviously thought this to be a possibility, but for her to voice it out so cynically was something beyond the scope of her imagination, "W-what?"
"I don't kiss and tell, but," she improvised, as she quickly realized the effect this had on the pinkette, "We work together nearly every day in an office that's empty more than half of the time he's there, you can imagine what takes place in such a deserted environment." she stated with a conniving smirk, looking down at her watch, "Would you look at the time! I gotta run, but maybe we can catch up some other time?"
Sakura didn't know she could feel anymore pain after Sasuke's confession. She swallowed the lump in her throat and ran to the dance room.
"Sak, are you okay?" Ino asked the pinkette after they finished dance practice. The pinkette had danced with so much anger it came across as a fierce and sensual performance.
"Why, was I off today?" she answered with another question, referring to her performance.
"Nope, but I could tell you weren't performing as usual, so spill."
"As usual? You didn't like my new style?" Sakura didn't tend to emphasize her feminine figure as much as she did today. She didn't like to rely on sexualizing her movements when dancing, but whether she admitted it or not, Matsuri and Karin's words had affected her and she needed to remind herself that she could be desired too.
"Of course I loved it, sexy is my middle name!" Ino joked.
Sakura cringed at the blonde's dad joke, "Did I look crazy?"
"Only when you looked mad, but hell, even that was sexy."
Sakura shouldn't have asked, her face instantly turned beet red, "Shut up pig, that's not funny."
"I'm not trying to be, you were a completely different person. Even Karin was shook." the blonde continued, "Forehead it shouldn't be that hard to believe that you're hot."
Sakura could now feel her cheeks tingling from all the blood that continued to rush to her face, "I'm leaving."
Ino grinned, "Awe, is wittle Sakuwa shy?" she teased in a baby voice.
Sakura glared at her, "No, I just know you're lying so drop it."
Ino's grin faltered when she saw that the pinkette was serious, "Does this have to do with Sasuke again?"
Sakura dropped her bag on the floor, they clearly weren't going anywhere until she explained so she did.
"I bumped into Matsuri on my way here and she basically implied that she and Sasuke have been fooling around since we were a thing. And I've been thinking and it all kinda makes sense now."
"What makes sense?"
"What Karin told me. He probably wasn't rushing me because he had someone else jerking him off."
Ino's eyes widened at Sakura's potty mouth, "OR, he didn't need to rush anything because he actually liked you, Forehead. You have to give him some credit. I had never seen him so taken with someone until you came along."
Sakura rolled her eyes, "Yeah 'cause he had something to win: A bet."
"You know what, I'm tired of all this drama we've been dealing with these past weeks," Ino started, referring to the Shikamura drama with Temari for her and Sakura's Sasuke drama, huffing and placing her hands on her hips, "We shouldn't be this stressed, Forehead-girl. Its not good for our skin, its not good for our life, its not-"
The pinkette sighed, "Ino," Sakura stopped her rambling, "Your point?"
"That we can't let others' words continue to determine how we're feeling day by day!" She continued, "Who cares if Sasuke is too blind to see how hot you are! Who cares if Shikamaru thinks I'm a fucken spoiled brat! If we give them that power, Sak, it's over for us. So no more dwelling on them, we're going out tonight and not care about what others have to say about us!"
Sakura sighed at the blonde yet again, "I'm not really up for-"
"Are you kidding me? After my whole spiel!" She said, effectively cutting off the pinkette, "We are going out tonight and thats final!"
Sakura knew it was no use to argue against the blonde, "Fine."
Sakura stared at her reflection, she had to admit, Ino was right, she needed this. Dressing up had always been the least of Sakura's worries, that is until she met the blonde. Sure she had cared about how she looked, but never to this detail and she was thankful Ino introduced her to these details she would have easily overlooked. The blonde said it was about accentuating what she already had and Kami, there were assets Sakura didn't know she possessed.
"Damn Forehead, looking this good should be illegal," she wolf-whistled.
Sakura twirled in front of the mirror, even if her dress was anything but flowy. The black little number hugged her slender curves perfectly and clashed with her milky tone. Ino had helped her with a smokey eye look that went along with the dark theme Sakura had going on.
"Both of you look hot," Tenten added, looking up from her phone momentarily. She had been occupied with that phone for a while now.
Hinata was no where to be found, probably out with Naruto since they were going out more often lately.
"Ten, are you sure you don't want to come with?"
The brunette shook her head, "And risk a hangover before the biggest game of the season? Thanks, but I'll pass."
Ino rolled her eyes, "The whole soccer team gets fucked up before the game, its tradition. Even Neji's gonna be there."
"Hard pass."
Ino continued checking herself out in the mirror, "Okay, suit yourself."
Sakura knew she shouldn't have been drinking so much. After all she was a light weight who shouldn't be drinking more than a couple shots.
"Ino-pig, serve me another!" she yelled over the music so that the blonde would hear her.
Ino giggled, following the rosette's order and handing her another shot, "Body shots!"
Sakura cheered along with Ino, "Who wants to be Sak's partner?! You!" she chose, pointing at a random guy standing nearby. Sakura met the guys gaze and realized it was no stranger, he was the guy she kissed at the party when they were playing seven minutes in heaven.
He smirked, taking her by the waist like he had that night when they kissed, "Long time no see, Saki."
She bit her lip, last she remembered he was a good kisser, "Relax, body shots don't involve us swapping spit." she teased, pushing him away lightly.
His smirk only seemed to deepen and his eyes grew darker, "Fuck, you're hotter than I remembered."
"Let's get this show on the road, love birds! I'm next!" Ino shouted at them, shoving the slice of lime and salt towards Taka, "Rub this on yourself or something."
He held the pinkette's gaze with the lime slice between his teeth and slowly undid the top buttons of his shirt. Multiple girls, gushed over the small gesture. Sakura could only roll her eyes, he was so full of himself.
She took the shot before taking a step forward and licking the salt off his collarbone where he had placed it before. She quickly took the lime from his lips and sucked it, pulling away before he could hold her. She was tipsy, but not tipsy enough to forget that he was probably involved in the whole bet ordeal.
Ugh, she thought, Just when I was having fun, he pops up in my head. She scowled, thinking about a certain someone who had broken her heart.
Taka, the guy who she just did a body shot with, didn't take a hint and stepped towards her. She raised a brow, Talk about persistent, "What?"
"Don't tell me you forgot how much fun we had last time we played spit hockey," he told her before leaning in and continuing, "Because if you did, I don't mind giving you a little reminder."
She shot him a sarcastic smile, "Hm, not interested."
He chuckled, "Ah, Uchiha's got you on a tight leash, I see."
Sakura's expression quickly darkened and she glared at him, "What do you know about me and Sasuke?"
This seemed to please the playful male, "Not much, the bastard doesn't like to share the details, although I should probably ask him how he manages to get all his girls to stay loyal to him, especially girls like you."
"'Girls like me'?" she echoed.
He shrugged, "Feisty, with an attitude that can't be tamed, unless tamed by the right person."
She could feel her blood boiling, but she kept her cool, "And Sasuke was able to tame me right?" she asked through gritted teeth.
"Well, I wouldn't put it that way in front of a lady like you, but since you're aware, then yes."
"Is that why you all placed bets on me, to see who could 'tame me'?" she asked surprisingly calmly.
His eyebrows shot up, "Ah, so you know about the bet...and you're still with Uchiha." he processed, "An actual legend." he mumbled to himself before returning his attention back to the pinkette, "Don't take it personally. It just so happened you were there and the guys were wondering if you were as fiery in other aspects of life as you were that night."
She swallowed the lump in her throat, So the end goal was to sleep with me and share it with all these pigs.
"Let me answer your lingering question, to satiate your curiosity," She started off sweetly.
He smirked, reaching out to hold her by the waist once again.
Before he could even lay a finger on her she punched him right across the jaw and kneed him so hard that he doubled over in pain, "Was that fiery enough for you?" she spat before walking off the dance floor.
Ino had lost sight of Sakura after she took a body shot with Taka and was dancing away with the crowd. She grinned, Sak is probably making out with him in some corner. She was glad her friend was moving on and having fun.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when someone gripped her arm and pulled her away from the dance floor. She was ready to scream at whoever was dragging her away, but she couldn't see the offender through the crowd of people, "What the- HEY! Stop! Let me go, I don't want to leave!"
Soon they made it out of the crowded dance floor and she could finally see the person pulling her away.
As soon as she recognized him, she found the strength to yank her hand away from his grasp, "Get your dirty hands off me, you-you cow-rider!"
He had pulled her into an empty room and shut the door behind them, leaning against it with his arms crossed over his chest.
She huffed, "Move! Let me out!" she tried opening the door, but he wouldn't move.
"No." he mumbled, looking bored.
"What the hell is your problem?!" she yelled, her face matching the flushed red tone of her dress.
He sighed, knowing things were bound to get ugly the moment he decided to disrupt her mid party, "I'm taking you back to the dorms."
She clenched her fists, "Who the hell do you think you are to make decisions for me?!"
"Shikamaru Nara, but you already knew that."
"Stop being a smart ass and move if you know what's good for you," she threatened. An empty threat really, but he didn't have to know that.
"The only way I'm opening this door is if you agree to go back to the dorms with me." He proposed lazily.
"No! I came here to have fun and nobody, especially not you, is going to ruin that for me!" she spat, and he still seemed unbothered, irritating her even more, "You know what, fine, don't move!" she said, walking towards the bed, almost tripping on her own feet, "I'll just call someone to come save me from the likes of you!"
For some reason this made him smirk. She rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore him and reached for her phone in her jacket's pocket.
Her eyes widened, it wasn't there.
Shikamaru reached for his back pocket, "Maybe if you were actually paying attention to your surroundings, you would have noticed this gone hours ago." He said smugly, showing her the missing object.
She glared at him, "Give it back!" She ordered, lunging for her phone.
All he had to do was lift his arm, to put the phone out of her reach, but he would be lying if he said he didn't feel dizzy from feeling her so close to him, "Stop being stubborn and go with me, 'if you know what's good for you'." He said, quoting her words from earlier.
She nearly shivered when she felt his voice blow near her ear, choosing to step back when she felt other things that weren't exactly anger anymore.
"Why are you even bothering me? I was having the time of my life out there, Shika." she pouted.
The change in her voice made him shift slightly. If she played her cards right, he would be putty in her hands.
"One more drink and you would have blacked out." He responded, his eyes following her as she took a seat on the bed again.
"But we're not even friends so why do you care?" she countered childishly.
"I don't, but Temari wouldn't forgive me if she knew I left you alone in the condition you were."
She scoffed, "You make it sound like I'm a drunk, when I'm perfectly fine!"
"Right."
"I am!" she argued.
"Those hounds were basically fucking you with their eyes, Ino."
She shrugged, deciding to be nonchalant about the matter, "So what if they were, as far as I'm concerned, I was dressed to impress."
"We're leaving." He said through gritted teeth, pulling her up from the bed, but before he could drag her out of the room she pulled back.
"No. I am not leaving just because you don't know how the concept of hooking up with someone works!" she yelled, "In case you know, Shika-kun, people have to feel something before hooking up. Its all about chemistry."
Something about the way she whispered the last sentence made him nearly lose his entire sense of control.
"What? It's true. If you wouldn't have cock-blocked, one of those 'hounds', would've gotten lucky." she explained, a smirk slowly inching onto her face, "Or is it that you want to be the one getting lucky tonight?" she questioned, biting her lower lip.
She knew she was playing with fire, but she couldn't stop herself from getting on his nerves this way. She wasn't stupid, she knew the effect she had on him, but the thing was he didn't know it yet. And she didn't realize she was also beginning to enter dangerous territory.
She had always been such a goodie-two-shoes when it came to boys, but that route didn't seem to work, considering how things ended with Kiba when all she wanted was a good relationship. She was only bluffing when she said she was hoping the night would end with a hook up, but he didn't have to know that. Plus it wasn't something he wasn't already thinking. People always assumed they knew her life style, when they never bothered to get to know her.
All my life, I've been nothing but good. she thought, her gaze falling down to his lips, What the hell. She decided, feeling her heart speed up as her hands reached up to pull him down by the collar.
She looked into his eyes, feeling his breath on her lips before crashing their lips together.
Sakura ran into the kitchen after her encounter with Taka. She needed a breather after putting that jerk in his place.
She found Gaara drinking a bottle of water. Gosh she couldn't catch a breath.
"I didn't know you'd be here." She said, making small talk, deciding it was best to move past this. After all, they would be in the same classroom for the rest of the year and he was the only one who had the decency to apologize.
He nodded, taking another gulp of his water.
"Look, I know we didn't exactly fix things last time we...talked." she said, not really knowing how to describe their last encounter, "But just to be clear, I forgive you for participating in the bet, I'm over it." she reassured with a tight smile. He just stared at her and she took that as a sign that their conversation was over.
Before she could walk into the hall, he spoke, "Sakura, I'm sorry for being a jerk...I didn't think about how you would feel when I stole that kiss from you."
She smiled genuinely this time, "As long as you don't do it again."
He nodded, a slight smile forming on his lips.
She gave him one last look before turning towards the hall again. Only this time, she came face to face with the brunette that gave her confidence a blow in the first place.
"Oh it's Sakura, Sasuke-kun!" she squealed and Sakura didn't have to look behind her to see the infamous Uchiha.
The reunion no one asked for, she internally rolled her eyes. Just when she thought her night couldn't get any worst than it already was.
Before she could say anything, Gaara walked towards them, "Matsuri?"
Her eyes widened visibly, "G-Gaara-kun?"
Sakura saw how tense the red-head turned when she said his name. What guy doesn't she have wrapped around her finger? The pinkette thought in what she could only describe as jealousy. And not exactly for the red-head, but because of the guy the brunette had her arm wrapped around. Sasuke.
He looked unbothered, avoiding the pinkette's eyes at all costs.
If he doesn't want to look at me, then fine. Neither do I! She thought childishly.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were in Suna." he asked, clearly confused as to why she was here in the first place.
Sakura noticed the way the brunette's eyes flickered between her and Gaara and how her eyes filled with what she could only describe as hurt as something seemed to dawn on her, "And I thought you weren't ready for a relationship." she spat bitterly, staring the pinkette down with animosity.
Sakura understood what was going on and she didn't want to be in the middle of it, "I'll see you out there," She told Gaara with a light squeeze on his arm.
It was a sign of reassurance that she was there if he needed her after this, nothing more, nothing less: a friendly gesture. So when she was yanked away from the red head Sakura was taken aback.
"Don't touch him!"
Sakura wasn't about to let the brunette or anyone for that matter, push her around, so it wasn't really a surprise that her first instinct was to push her back, "Don't touch me."
Matsuri had her hands clenched on her sides, but she was shaking with rage. Gaara recognized this behavior and quickly found himself stepping in between them, "Sakura, go."
She nodded, she really didn't need to get into a fight over something she wasn't even involved in.
Somehow Matsuri managed to grab a hold of one of Sakura's straps and pulled her back.
"To hell with-" she couldn't even finish her sentence because she was being carried out of the kitchen by the quietest party in the situation.
"Let me go, Sasuke! If she wants to fight then I'll give her what she wants!"
"Sakura, calm down." he cooed, maintaining his cool as if her strap hadn't just been ripped off her dress.
She struggled against him but he kept making his way to a destination unbeknownst to her, "Sasuke, if you don't let go of me, I'm going to punch you!"
The fact that he laughed at her statement made her even more mad.
"I'm being serious!" she continued, getting a bit side tracked by the fact that they had arrived at a bedroom.
And none of the assholes in the hall bothered to help me, she thought, What if he had been some sort of criminal?!
"Let me go!"
And he did. And she would've fallen on her ass if it wasn't for her super fast reflexes. Reflexes he obviously knew she had, that's why he let her go.
"You jerk! What the hell?!"
"I did what you asked." he stated nonchalantly.
"Yeah and I nearly fell! Timing, Sasuke!" she huffed, "Now move, I have a brat to drag."
"Hn." he grunted, stubbornly standing in front of the door, "You're not going anywhere."
She smiled sarcastically, "Oh yeah, I'm not?"
Knowing that all too familiar smile and tone she used before pulling one of her stunts he was in front of her in a matter of seconds, pushing her down on the bed and trapping her beneath him, "Exactly."
She struggled with her arms pinned above her head, and legs somehow tangled with his. She mentally cursed when she felt certain parts of her body heat up, reacting to the proximity of their bodies. She felt her face heat up, "Let go!" she huffed, turning her face to the side before he could see the red tint spreading on her cheeks. She'd be damned if she let him see the effect he still had on her. She squirmed beneath him, trying to get away from his tight hold on her.
"Sakura, quit moving."
She glared at him, "Then get off!"
"Not until you promise that you won't run out there."
"Of course you don't want her pretty little face swollen with all the bruises she's going to get once I get my hands on her."
"Why do you want to go out there in anyway?" He countered, ignoring her claims, "There's no reason for you to get into petty fights." he grumbled, You'll get hurt. he added as an afterthought.
"Whether I want to fight another girl over a boy is my business, not yours." she spat, looking him dead in the eye.
He gritted his teeth, "So you're willing to fight someone over Gaara?"
Sakura sighed, "Like I said, it's none of your business."
"You are my business." he said before he could stop himself.
Her head snapped towards him in an instant, "I stopped being your business the moment you broke my heart."
He saw the hurt visibly show on her eyes, but he bit his tongue before he could say something stupid again.
She didn't bother hiding it anymore, after all, he shouldn't be surprised that that was what he had done.
"I know for you I was just a conquest to you and your friends, a trophy of sorts," she continued bitterly, "But that was my fault." she whispered with a sad smile, "I shouldn't have ever believed there was something more than just physical attraction between us."
Sasuke could feel his walls breaking down for her once again. Every time he would look into those enchanting green eyes, he was wrapped around her pretty little finger once again, at the mercy of her will, couldn't she see that? Couldn't she see that he was willing to forget everything if she only asked him to? If she only stopped lying to him?
"It wasn't you fault, there was something there." he managed to say with the same cold, stoic tone he always used, surprising even himself with the lack of emotion he was giving off.
Her sad smile didn't falter and he could see her pretty pink lips mouth the word "'Was'."
Sasuke let her hands go, allowing one of his thumb to trace over her lips, feeling the familiar pair of plump lips he had been kissing not too long ago.
Sakura felt herself beginning to breathe heavier, trying to catch up with her racing heart. She looked down at his hand, eyes flickering up at the Uchiha only to catch him looking right at her. She gulped, this wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't supposed to feel the urge to pull him down to crash their lips together. She wasn't suppose to surrender so easily to him after he hadn't even bothered to apologize for everything he's done. And she was willing to put it all aside for one kiss.
She was aware of her ability to flee now, but that didn't prompt her to push him away, all she wanted was to feel his lips against hers. To feel that he was hers once again.
She felt his warm breath on hers when his nose brushed up against hers.
"S-Sasuke..." she managed to say barely above a whisper.
This was so wrong. She couldn't continue with this when he was still clueless about what she had done. She wouldn't be able to handle him despising her even more when she told him the truth.
His eyes flickered to hers and she shut them closed, choosing to ignore his longing gaze before she could give in.
He sighed, taking this as a sign of discomfort. He didn't want to hurt her. He swiftly moved to the edge of the bed, allowing her to leave if she wanted to.
Sakura thanked Kami he moved because she didn't know what would've happened if she kissed him.
She moved to the edge of the bed too, hand holding her loose strap that had been ripped off earlier. She huffed, remembering that this dress wasn't exactly hers. She got up, ready to find Ino so they could go back to the dorms.
Sasuke turned to her, noticing the loose strap, "Don't." He stated, catching her wrist.
Sakura rolled her eyes tiredly, "I'm not going to hurt your girlfriend, if that's what you're worried about, Sasuke."
"She's not the one I'm worried about." he told her, not thinking about the way his words came out.
She scoffed, "Don't worry about me, I know very well how to defend myself."
His furrowed brows relaxed, looking at her with a look she couldn't figure out, "I know, just..." he paused, allowing his hand slide down to hers, "Be careful." He settled, deciding that anything else would push her away even more.
Sakura had barely stepped out of the room when she bumped into her blonde friend.
"Sak, we have to go," She said, a little out of breath.
The pinkette couldn't be happier when she heard this, following the blonde's quick step.
"Sai-kun!" she called the pale boy who was nodding to something Ami was telling him. He quickly turned to Ino, walking towards her without hesitation.
"Hai?"
"We have to go," she told him, looking back at Ami who looked a bit disappointed and gave her an apologetic look.
He nodded, leading the way towards the car, but not before getting pulled back by Ino.
Sure he was the girls' designated driver for the night, but Ino also noticed Ami and him were in the middle of something.
"Sai, don't be a jerk, say goodbye properly." she scolded.
"Ah," he realized, looking a bit sheepish when he turned back to face Ami, "Ja ne." he quickly said, turning around before Ami could say anything. He felt the heat creeping up his neck and he didn't want her to see him blushing.
Ino sighed, deciding not to pull him back for a second time since Sai was still learning and this was improvement, "Sorry that we have to leave, babe, but I'll see you tomorrow at practice?" she said, side-hugging the purple-haired girl who was nodding.
"For sure, Ino-chan, see you!" she said with a smile as they parted, "Bye Sakura-chan!" she called after her since she was the last one to leave. She pouted, just when her and Sai were beginning to have a conversation, he had to go.
"How was pining over Hyuuga last night?" Ino teased the brunette who was getting ready to go on her morning run.
Tenten smiled sarcastically, "Ha-ha, how's your hangover, still no regrets you went out last night?"
Ino scowled, but winced when her head began to ache again, "Touché."
Sakura groaned into her pillow, "Remind me again why I agreed to go out with this one again?"
Hinata giggled, "I-I for one, am glad to have gone on a study date instead."
Tenten raised her brows amusedly, "Of course that's all you and blondie did. You guys probably have all the tongue anatomy down by now, don't you?"
Hinata blushed furiously, she shouldn't have even chimed in.
"Talking about tongue anatomy, Sak here had some very public tongue action with Taka, the hot senior." Ino teased, causing Sakura to throw her pillow at her head, "Hey!" the blonde yelped when the pillow hit her face.
"I know I brought up the topic, but I am not staying here to listen to your mouth's late night escapades," The brunette said, walking towards their dorm's door, "Later."
Sakura laughed, waving at Tenten before turning to Ino and Hinata, "I didn't give him the pleasure of getting that far."
Ino threw the pillow back at the pinkette, "Then who'd you ditch me for!?"
Sakura wasn't in the mood to explain all the drama that happened last night, so she smiled tiredly, "Don't worry about it."
The blonde rolled her eyes, "you could've saved me if you hadn't left." She huffed.
Hinata was quick to jump in, concerned, "W-what happened Ino-chan? A-are you o-okay?"
Sakura faced Ino, looking at her worried expression, she did seem kind of frazzled last night when they bumped into each other.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just a horrible person." she told them.
Sakura threw her a questioning look, "I'm sure you're not, what'd you do?"
Ino bit her lip, "I..." she trailed off, looking down at her hands in a guilty manner, "I kissed-well more like made out, and possibly dry-humped, but I didn't mean for it to go that far, I swear I only wanted to kiss him-"
"Who?!" Sakura exclaimed, wanting to know who had her friend all worked up.
"Shikamaru."
Hinata gasped, but her face was so red from the blonde's previous confession that she felt like she was about to pass out, "B-but Ino-chan, isn't h-he Temari-chan's b-boyfriend?"
Ino nodded frantically, "I know, that's why I'm such a horrible person. I'm basically the other woman."
Sakura snorted, "I thought you said he thought you were a spoiled brat."
"He does! And that's the worst part, that he despises me for no damn reason, and somehow I'm still attracted to him," she rambled, "Maybe I'm just attracted to jerks."
Hinata furrowed her eyebrows, "I-I don't think he despises you, Ino-chan."
"Of course he doesn't, it takes two to dry-hump each other, for Pete's sake." Sakura agreed with a teasing smirk, "And Ino-pig, you totally gave him that power over you." she added, referring to her spiel from dance practice.
Ino glared at Sakura, "I can't believe you're actually using my words against me, when you're supposed to be comforting me!" she cried, turning to Hinata for support, "Hina, hug me?" The lavander-eyed teen nodded, hugging the blonde.
Sakura laughed, "You're hopeless. Of course I'm going to scold you for doing the one thing you knew was bad for you. Look at the havoc he raised. You shouldn't have kissed him." Just like I didn't kiss Sasuke.
"S-Sakura-chan is right, e-especially b-because he's still d-dating Temari-chan."
The pinkette nodded, but didn't say anything else, she didn't want to make Ino feel any worse than she already was.
"I know, it's just that he-"
The door was swiftly opened, allowing a slightly out of breath lazy boy in.
"Speak of the devil." Sakura muttered, swinging her legs off her bed and slipping on her flip-flops, "Alright Hina, let's go grab some breakfast."
"What are you doing here?!" Ino questioned, watching her friends make their way out of the dorm.
He sat next to her on her bed, "You ran off last night, just wanted to make sure you were okay."
A little late, but ok, Ino nodded, standing up from her own bed, "Well as you can see, I'm great, so you can leave now-" He pulled her back, sitting her back down, but this time on his lap, "Shikamaru!"
"Hm?" he asked, lazily holding his arm around her waist to keep her in place. Her cami crop-top allowed his thumb graze the bare skin of her lower back.
"Let go, we can't." she told him, despite nearly giving in to his touch, "Last night wasn't supposed to happen. You have a girlfriend and I should've respected that, and gosh I should've respected Tem. She didn't deserve that, I-"
"Temari and I broke up."
Ino's eyes widened, "W-was it because of last night?"
He sighed, shaking his head, but didn't elaborate on the matter.
"Since when?" she asked.
He shrugged, "It's been a while, weeks."
Ino sighed in relief, knowing she hadn't ruined a relationship with her actions from last night really took away her headache.
"So..." she trailed off, looking at their position, shifting herself slightly so she would be straddling him, "Why'd you really come here in the first place?" She asked, placing her arms around his neck, "Hm?"
Before he could respond, there was a knock at the door, Ino groaned, Sakura probably locked the door when she left and forgot her card key. She hesitantly climbed off him and adjusted her cami and shorts that had hiked up.
"Coming, Sak!" She called out, walking towards the door, conscious about the way Shikamaru's eyes roamed her body. She bit her lip to suppress the smile inching on her face, opening the door to find a dashing looking Kiba, sporting the wolfish smirk that used to make her swoon.
She gulped, "Kiba-kun!" she nearly stuttered.

I seriously feel like a sack of potatoes all day, stuck in my room without any sort of social interaction with the outside world except for online classes D: soooo PLEASE PLEASE Reviewwww, it really helps me get motivated, so don't be a silent reader!
Also, I know it sucks to have to stay indoors (at least as mandated for my region in the US) except for essential stuff, but its a small price to pay if it means we're stopping the spread of this thing so STAY INSIDE and WASH YOUR HANDS!
applelam145: Angst is my middle name lmao jk but I enjoy writing angst these days
Kiyomi Inuzuka: Oop, sorry about that! Hope this chapter lightened up your moooood :)
Guest: Your welcome! Thank you for reading!
Until next update my beautiful readers, stay safe!
Ja ne!
