Exodia POV:

Upon arriving back at the mayor's place, Barrel was quick to praise our actions.

"Good going, you two! You showed those pirates who's boss!" Barrel smiled widely at us and Amelia smirked as well.

"How can I ever thank you enough? You've done so much to defend us from the threat of the Pirates. If they continue after this, I'll be surprised. After all, the treasure of this island is said to have a horrid disaster occur if it's ever unearthed..." Amelia said before she sighed a bit. "Even if that is just a myth, there has been increased activity all underground. The Reaverbots in the Ruins are actually activating of their own accord. Maybe there's some truth to the horrible disaster?" Amelia pondered, me wondering what she meant. Main Gate, a treasure inside of it, and a horrid disaster.

"I don't know, but whatever it sounds like, I have a feeling it involves Elysium, but that's just me," I frowned.

"I wonder... Megaman and Exodia? Can I ask you to look around the ruins of these islands and see if you can find anything?" Amelia asked, me smiling at that.

"Of course we can," I smiled.

"Agreed," Megaman smirked.

"Oh, thank you so much! Here, you're going to need these to get the job done," Amelia smirked as she handed us some licenses again, but these ones had a gold color and had an A on them. "Only the best Diggers are able to get their hands on a Class A license. The best of the best. I give you permission to explore the island Subgates, as they are said to be connected to the Main Gate in one way or the other... and I hate to mention this, but... if by chance you find anything relating to the treasure or the mythology of this island, it would be invaluable if you could share it with myself and Professor Barrel," Amelia said, me nodding at that.

"If I find out anything at all, you'll be the first to know, your honor," I smiled at her as Megaman, Barrel, and I then left the Mayor's office and proceeded to the Support Car to see Roll, her smirking at us when we knocked on the door.

"Hey, Roll?" I smiled when she showed her face.

"Hi there, you two! So what did she want?" Roll asked with a smile.

"She wants us to explore the Subgates, which are not only connected to the Main Gate, but they're also the ruins that the pirates want to get in as well. But first, I want to go visit the museum that the Junk Store owners mentioned," I said, Megaman looking at me in confusion.

"Why's that?" he asked.

"Well, I want to learn more about the island's history and see if it might jog anything in my memory. After all, this was where I was sent ages ago by Doctor Light," I said as I brought out my doll again and pet it a bit, knowing it was mine and not daring to injure it.

"Okay, we can take a slight detour, I guess," Roll smiled.

"Yeah, and we also happen to have some big Refractors that appeared when Exodia defeated the pirates' digging machine," Megaman smiled as he presented them to Roll, them being about as big as my hand to my elbow in length and being varying degrees of thickness.

"Those are pretty big Refractors! Maybe we could use them for something in the future?" Roll asked, me smiling at that.

"Let's go on over to the museum, then. Do we happen to know which part of town it's at?" I asked.

"It's in Uptown, which is by Lake Jyun. Just go through the door in the city that says W on it and you're there!" said an officer watching over City Hall, me smirking at that.

"Thanks for the directions. How about we go for a ride in the Spotter Car to get there?" Roll smiled.

"Sounds fun!" I smiled as Megaman and I hopped in and we saw Data in there doing his little dance.

"You know... maybe we should get a recharge, just in case we come across anymore issues with the Pirates," I suggested.

"Are you sure?" Roll asked. "It always makes us worry when you get in pain from it."

"I'm sure. Every single time he recharges me, I get part of my memory restored. And though it may hurt, I think it's just the electricity," I frowned.

"Okay, stay still," Data said as he then touched me with his tail and, this time, no pain happened. Instead, I immediately got a memory returned to me.

It was roughly 500 years ago, where the surviving humans had all been escorted to the moon known as Elysium, and we saw just how desperate the war had gone. Nearly every single human on the face of the earth was killed. We only had 24 humans survive out of all of them, and only three of them were women. "I... I've failed my mission, Doctor Light... forgive me..." I said, though I wasn't talking to anyone, as Doctor Light had been dead for thousands of years.

"What do we do now?" asked another robot that I recognized instantly. Though I could tell he wasn't a human at all, he was the same as I remembered him.

"I do not know, Megaman Trigger, but it's very clear that we need a new system in place," said another robot, this one being a green-haired one that had twin tails, a black outfit, and brown skin.

"Mistress Yuna... it appears we need a system in place to try and protect the rest of humanity and eliminate any threats that they may have. A system to protect and serve no matter what," said another green-haired girl, this one having short hair in a bob and having a white outfit on her.

"I agree with Mistress Sera. All in favor with the plan, say I," said another robot, this one being one that had an odd eye on his forehead. And all across the board, everyone had their hands raised and said the letter. Everyone, that is, except me.

"Motion carried," Yuna said, me sighing at that and shaking my head.

"I'm not in favor of this. We tried to protect humanity before and look at what happened. Only 24 humans remain still alive, and that's not going to last too long with three female humans and the Earth in this state of endless water," I frowned as I looked to the planet.

"We can only try to save everyone that still remains. We shall keep them here, on Elysium, until the planet is restored to its former state of being," Megaman said, though I could tell by his face that he was worried as well.

"But that will be a challenge in and of itself, as Elysium is mainly built for robotic models, not for humans. If these humans stay on Elysium for too long..." I frowned, the others looking at me with annoyance.

"Just stop talking, XX-23. You may be the most senior of us, but that doesn't mean you need to speak out against every plan we put into action," Sera said with a stern gaze, me frowning and hanging my head again.

"Okay..." I sighed, remembering one more thing, primarily the models that these robots were. Megaman was a Purifier Model, Sera and Yuna were Mother units, and their assistants with the strange eyes were Servant units. "We'll do that, then... I'm still unsure, but we can at least try..." I sighed.

When I gasped this time, both Megaman and Roll weren't surprised at all. But I still had to tell them what I saw... and Megaman would be the one to be most confused by it.

"What'd you see this time?" he asked.

"I remembered... the memory was 500 years ago when the robots on Elysium relocated humanity there. Only 24 humans were left alive after the war flooded the world with water and radiation. And I remember that I was very distraught because I couldn't defend them... and then I was at a meeting with a lot of other different robots, them being the ones to look like humans... there were the Mother units of Yuna and Sera, their servant units, and a purifier model that I recognized among the group," I explained.

"Who was the purifier model? That sounds like an important job," Megaman asked, me sighing and simply pointing my finger at him. Megaman was a bit confused about it so I sighed.

"If I point my finger at you when you ask me who it was, shouldn't that give you a clue?" I asked, Megaman gasping at that, as did Roll.

"W-Wait... I... I was a robot before?" he asked in shock.

"Yeah, you were. You looked oddly the same as you do today, only your armor was a part of your body and was more sleek in design... and you and I were the only ones who opposed having the humans relocate to Elysium, because of something that would happen... I don't know what, but I know it ended up with humanity eventually going extinct in those 5 centuries..." I sighed.

"So... Megaman was a robot before?... Was he still called Megaman?" Roll asked.

"Yes, he was. Though his last name was different. Megaman Trigger is what you were called," I said.

"I... I see... Data? Did you know anything about this?" Megaman asked Data, who simply sighed and nodded.

"Sorry, Megaman, but I didn't want to tell you just yet..." he said with a sigh, not even doing his little dance afterwards.

"It's okay, Data. Besides, I probably wouldn't have believed it unless something big happened," Megaman said with a small smile.

"Okay, now what say we go visit the museum now? I think my memory might almost be ready to be fully restored," I smiled.

"Right, let's go. And after that, maybe we can go to the ruins on that lake? It's a secluded part of the map, so it's sure to have something special inside," Roll smiled.

"Sure! Let's drive," Megaman smiled, Roll then sitting in a chair and driving the car, me gasping as I wasn't expecting the sudden movement and I fell on the ground. I then looked outside the window and saw we were moving pretty fast. And in just a few moments, we entered Uptown. And Roll parked the car by what looked like a lookout to the lake.

"Okay, the museum is that octagonal building just to the south of us," Roll said, me nodding at that as Megaman and I then went to the museum and, upon entry, were greeted by a woman that was wearing a purple shirt, blue pants, and having a very cute hat on her.

"Oh, hello there. Are you that duo that saved the town from the pirates?" she asked, me nodding my head at that.

"Yes, we are. We wanted to learn more about the island's history, so we decided to visit the museum," I smiled.

"I see. Well, no better place to learn about our history exists on this island! Well, I recommend starting with the big mural," she smiled, me nodding at that as did Megaman. And when we saw the big mural, I gawked as did Megaman. It was just as the Junk Store owner said. It depicted someone in blue armor facing off against a terrifying foe, one that looked like it was a giant Reaverbot!

"Whoa... that's a pretty scary robot he's fighting... do you think that this has anything to do with us?" Megaman asked. I nodded as I then touched the mural, hoping to get some kind of answers... and when I did, I gasped as I remembered more... and more... and MORE! I held my head in absolute agony at all the memories flooding back at once! It felt like my brain would snap at any moment!

"Exodia! EXODIA!" Megaman exclaimed at me as I remembered everything. Every single detail of my life...

I remembered the war against the Sigma Virus with Megaman X. I remembered the wars against Doctor Weil alongside Zero, a very powerful robot... and even more from the adventures of Model ZX until, finally, the final war that made everyone evacuate to Elysium... and it was then that I gasped. The war wasn't caused by what I thought it was prior, with humans being attacked by bad robots... it was because of the Master System pretty much nuking them off the face of the Earth minus the few on Elysium that I managed to rescue! And when I spoke to the Master, the last human remaining... his last wish, which he gave to both me and Megaman was to destroy the Master System... and let the Carbons live on the surface.

"Exodia! Are you okay?!" Megaman asked as I wheezed a bit after the vision and I looked at him with a small frown.

"I remembered... everything... every minute detail... the war that eradicated humanity wasn't caused by robots... it was caused by the Master System... and the last human alive asked both of us to destroy that system... I have no doubt in my mind that was the reason for both of our issues, with you being turned into a Carbon and me being turned off and put in a set of ruins..." I said with sadness on my face.

"B-But what about Sera and Yuna? What happened with them?" Megaman asked, me sighing at that.

"Yuna would've battled with you and you would've showed her the good side of the Carbons, so she'd be a good person... Sera, on the other hand, battled both of us to the point that all three of us were broken and damaged heavily... Yuna then sealed Sera in a hidden place, turned you into a Carbon infant, and turned me off... I have no idea how long ago that was, but it's obvious it's been decades since then..." I sighed in exasperation.

"Well... at least now you remember everything, right?" Megaman asked with a smile.

"Yes... I finally have my memory back... and now I know what I have to do, as do you... when we get the chance, no matter when it may be, we need to destroy the Master System. The Carbons deserve to have this world after us robots destroyed all humanity just because we felt like it..." I said with a sigh. Megaman helped me off the ground and we then proceeded to the door to the museum, me sighing as we got to the lookout area and then we saw a shack nearby.

"If we're going to go to the island, we'll need a boat to get across the waters," Megaman said, me smiling at that.

"Yeah, you and Roll need a boat, but I don't," I smiled. Megaman looked confused by that until I showed him what I remembered I had. I turned my feet into literal jet boosters and Megaman looked impressed.

"Whoahoho! Nice!" he smiled at that.

"Let's go find a boat!" I smirked as I let myself back down to the ground and we proceeded to the shack to get going to the ruins of Lake Jyun.
