Family Dinner

"What'd he say?" Thea asked, watching as Cassie returned after calling Theo.

"Well he yelled. A lot." Cassie nodded, "Told me I was an idiot."

"Well…" Thea shrugged in agreement as Cassie glared at her.

"He gave me an address to the house he stayed at. He stayed with an older women and apparently she still has all of his things. All the files and guns too… so-"

"I'm not touching a gun." Jude scoffed, "Sean says if you don't know how to use a gun you should never touch one." She said as Thea rolled her eyes.

"No, you're just clumsy as hell, that's why he tells you that." Thea said.

"Just because you're having withdrawals right now doesn't mean you gotta be bitch." Jude nodded to her as Thea folded her arms.

"I've got a headache." Thea said.

"Then take some tablets." Jude shook her head, taking some meds out her bag with a bottle of water.

"When did you turn into medicine lady?" Cassie asked, trying to flag down a cab.

"This is my mom bag." Jude said, "Tissues, hand sanitizer, medicine, pacifiers, you name it." She smiled proudly as Thea swallowed over the tablets.

"You manage to somehow make everything boring." Thea nodded as Jude grabbed the water back from her.

"You're just upset I don't have any vodka in here." Jude scoffed as Thea pinched her neck, "Quit it." She snapped, "You're like a kid who hasn't had their nap yet." She shook her head.

"Hey, are you two coming?" Cassie asked after flagging down a cab, getting into the back seat as Jude joined her whilst Thea sat in the front, "Um… we're going here." She pointed to the address written in the notes app on her phone where Theo had directed her.

The cab driver nodded and began to drive out of the airport.

"What else did he say?" Jude asked.

"He said to not go anywhere near the old distribution centre for car parts. It must be where she's keeping everything." Cassie said.

"Why can't we just go straight to this address?" Jude asked her, "Mom and dad could be already there."

"He said I should have a gun and that all his work he done when he was undercover is with this woman." She shrugged as Jude nodded.

"How far from this women's house to Janet's?" Jude asked, leaning over to look at Cassie's phone.

"Fifteen minutes." Cassie said, looking at the maps, "Theo said if we run into any trouble to call this number. I have it written down. It's not the police but it's special enforcers. Better than police. He said he's gonna call them and let them know we're here."

"I'm struggling to figure out why the cops couldn't just do all of this themselves? Why couldn't Theo put her away for good?" Jude questioned.

"I don't know. I don't know if it's because she's here in a different country or if it's… cops being cops and wanting to strike at a good time-"

"When the hell is a good time? When someone is dead?" Jude shook her head as Cassie sighed. She looked down at her phone, back onto the maps, noticing they had gone off route to where they'd asked to be taken to.

She looked up, looking around the area which had nothing around it but sand and road, beginning to get increasingly nervous as they strayed further away from the destination on the maps.

She pointed it out to Jude discreetly in the back as Jude looked up at the driver, noticing him staring at her in the rear view mirror.

"Uh… we can just get out here." Jude said.

"Are you nuts?" Thea sat up as Cassie watched them pulling into the side of the road where another car was. Thea turned around to her sisters in the back, watching as they were shaking their heads as Thea turned around.

Cassie immediately grabbed the driver by the neck from the back of the car, "Get out of the car!" Cassie told them as Thea and Jude scrambled out of the car, "Who are you?!" She yelled, clawing at his eyes.

She couldn't do much else as the door beside opened, feeling someone grab her by the legs, pulling her out of the car as she fell out, hitting her head off the ground and groaning, opening her eyes as she saw her sister's with bags over their heads being pulled towards the other car.

She scrambled to her feet with a dizzy head, trying to run to them as she suddenly felt a black bag pushed over her head, hands grabbing at her and pulling her towards the car.

"This is it?" Punk questioned, approaching the large house with his wife later on.

"Yeah." AJ nodded, "What if she's not home?" She asked.

"Then we'll wait for her." Punk said.

"Wait, Phil." She took a hold of his arm, "There could be a ton of people in there and then what? Me being her daughter doesn't mean a damn thing, we know that now. She'll kill us." She said as Punk looked down at her.

"Rick said only your uncle was going to and from the house. She's not gonna have dealers living with her." Punk nodded.

"And what are you planning to do?" AJ asked. In all honesty, they'd barely had a chance to talk about the actual plan going into the house. It had all lead up to this point.

"Well I don't know about you, but I plan on killing her." Punk shrugged, "Or even better, I plan on watching you kill her."

"As inviting as that sounds, maybe we just turn her into the cops? I don't wanna get into trouble." AJ shook her head. It was starting to become very real.

"What cops?" Punk shook his head, "Ok, look at me." He told her, placing his hands on her shoulders, "No one is gonna give a shit if she's found dead."

"Since when was this about us killing her? I thought… I thought the plan was to turn her into the cops?" AJ shook her head.

"By doing what? Hey 911, we're in this house with this woman, we'd like you to arrest her?" Punk questioned.

"The cops in Chicago have been in contact with the police here, ok? Maybe we call them and explain-"

"She stabbed Cassie. She took James and Sofia. She is the reason I spent years of my life locked behind bars, away from you, away from our kids. She's the reason I grew up as a kid with nothing." Punk said, "This woman is as good as dead." He nodded as AJ looked up at him, gulping nervously. She was just scared of what they were about to walk into.

"I don't want her to do anymore damage." AJ shook her head.

"She's not gonna get the chance." Punk cupped her cheeks, "She goes away, it all goes away." He said as she nodded, placing her hands over his.

"I love you." She looked up at him as he nodded.

"I love you too." Punk nodded, leaning down and kissing her softly before pulling back and looking up at the house.

"We can't exactly knock on the door, can we?" AJ scoffed.

"Sure we can." Punk nodded, opening up the gate and walking down the pathway to the front door as AJ walked beside him.

"Kinda wish Dean was here." AJ said nervously.

"Do you not have faith in me?" He smiled a little, trying to keep her nerves afloat.

"I do. Dean is just really scary." AJ nodded.

"Yeah well he's looking out for the girls. I'd rather him there than here with us." Punk said as AJ nodded in agreement.

They stopped at the front door, looking at one another before Punk knocked on the door, pressing the doorbell too as he stepped back, staying close beside AJ as they waited nervously. In their eyes, they were about to end it all. They were pulling the trigger before Janet could.

AJ took a deep breath as she heard someone coming to the door, unlocking it and opening it up as she saw her mother standing in front of them.

"Well… glad you could both make it." Janet smiled as AJ looked across at her with confusion, "Come in." She nodded, walking back into the house calmly as Punk turned to AJ with slight confusion. But how were they to know what mind games she was playing?

"Sounds like you were expecting us." Punk said, stepping into the house with AJ who looked around at the entrance of the house, scanning her eyes around the place.

"Well… I've only been waiting six months." Janet scoffed, turning around to them, "I thought maybe after one month you'd be here, banging on my front door, but… maybe you're bigger cowards than I thought." She smiled a little.

"You're a hard woman to find." Punk said.

"Not if you look in the right places." She smiled, "You both hungry?" She asked them, wandering away into the dining room casually as AJ gulped, turning to Punk who looked down at her.

"She already knew we were here." AJ whispered to him, panicked.

"Shh, just… stay calm." Punk told her, walking into the dining room slowly which was attached to the massive kitchen at the back, watching as Janet took something out of the oven.

"I made a whole roast." Janet announced as Punk and AJ stood in the dining room.

"You know, I really commend you for the lengths you go to, to live up to the crazy." Punk nodded as Janet chuckled a little.

"Thank you, Phil." Janet nodded, walking over to the table and sitting down the roast in the middle of the table, which appeared to be set for six.

"You expecting people?" Punk asked, noticing the table, moving around it slowly with AJ.

"A few." Janet smirked to herself as she walked back into the kitchen, "So what took you both so long?" She questioned, "Busy family lives? Work?" She asked, so mundane like.

"Something like that." Punk mumbled.

"Take a seat." Janet nodded to them.

"Don't think so." Punk said as Janet smiled, walking back over to the table with some roast potatoes.

"Take a seat." Janet said, reaching into the back of her pants, taking the gun out and pointing it at Punk, "Or die." She shrugged as Punk looked across at her, "I won't ask a third time." She shook her head as Punk slowly pulled out the chair at the table, sitting down as AJ sat down beside him.

"Don't tell me you've been making a roast every day for six months waiting on us." Punk said.

"Just today." Janet smiled, looking over at them.

"You knew we were here." AJ said, "How?" She questioned.

"I know people." Janet said, "I knew you'd show face eventually. Didn't think it would take this long but… I guess you both like doing the right thing these days, huh?" She smiled, "Putting your trust in the police." She said, "But I told you when you were young, April. Cops won't ever be there for you in your time of need." She shook her head, "Family will."

"That's rich coming from you." AJ said, "You've tried to destroy my family-"

"You've destroyed mine." Janet said, "You murdered my husband and my son. Your father and brother!" She yelled, "And somehow I'm the bad guy?" She laughed a little, "Somehow I'm the crazy one?"

"They deserved to die." AJ spat, "Karma is a thing." She nodded, "Yours is coming quicker than you think."

"You think so?" Janet smiled, "I could kill you both right now. And no one would ever have to hear from you again." She said, "I could literally this gun." She raised the gun, "And blow both of your heads out right now. And still… you both sit there, unbothered." She said, "Is this… a peace offering?" She smiled a little.

"What the hell are you talking about?" AJ spat.

"Have you both come here… accepting your fate already?" She smiled, "Or are you just plain stupid?" She asked, "I never raised a stupid girl. You made her stupid" She pointed the gun at Punk who laughed a little.

"Yeah? How's that?" Punk asked.

"You're like… a little boy on Christmas day, desperate to play with his new toys, so desperate that when he builds them, they're not built right, and they fall apart before he even gets to play with them." She said as Punk looked across at her.

"I didn't have toys when I was a kid." Punk shrugged, "Because my mom was unconscious half of the time, filled up on drugs and keeping your suppliers happy every night." He nodded, "My mom… who was supposed to be your friend-"

"Yeah well friends don't rat each other out." Janet shook her head, "You're just like her. Sam. Always rushing into things without thinking." She said, "Maybe you're only talent was dealing drugs. Cause you were good at that, weren't you?" She smiled a little as Punk looked across at her, "Rio told me all about you. He said, Jan, this kid has got it. He's just like us." She nodded, "Had to see it to believe it, though."

"And you obviously didn't like what you saw then?" Punk questioned.

"Not after I found out you were Sam's son. No." Janet shook her head, "And then you got my girl pregnant. I didn't like it, Phil." Janet shook her head.

"She's my girl. Not yours." Punk shook his head, "You abandoned her."

"No, she was supposed to come to Puerto Rico with us once you went to prison." Janet said.

"I wanted to be on my own way before I would have even considered coming with you." AJ spat as Janet rolled her eyes, "You just want to use me. You just want me to keep your business running when your too old to." She said, "You have no kids. No grandkids. You have no one."

"Oh, I have a kid left. I have three grandkids. I even have three great grandkids." Janet nodded.

"No you don't." AJ smiled, "You have nothing. You're gonna die alone just like dad, just like Rob… and your business, your precious business is gonna collapse, and all the people you've trapped and hurt over the years. People like Sam and Daniel… people like me and Phil… it's gonna be a good day for us." She nodded as Janet nodded to herself.

"Well, April… I'm still here, alive and in living colour. Don't start prepping my funeral just yet." She nodded as AJ glared across at her, "Now tell me if I'm wrong but the only times you've stopped dealing, Phil… is when you've been forced to." She said, "You'd almost say it's like… an addiction." She nodded, "You enjoyed it, didn't you?"

"When I was a dumb teenager? Yeah, sure." Punk nodded, "As a grown man, with kids, a good life? No, it sounds like my idea of hell, actually." He said, "That's the difference between you and me."

"I bet if I had you out dealing again, you wouldn't be able to stop." Janet smiled.

"Yeah well whatever fantasies you got cooking up in your head, don't bother with them." Punk said, "You're gonna be dead soon."

"Oh, am I?" Janet asked, "I wouldn't be making any bold statements like that just yet." She shook her head as AJ and Punk looked across at her, "Ok, you guys hungry?" She nodded, as if nothing was wrong, as if she really was a normal mother.

"No, we're not." AJ spat as Janet heard a car door shutting outside.

"Well we can't eat without a full table, anyway." Janet smiled, "Stay there." She pointed the gun at them both, wandering off into the entrance.

"Who the hell is coming?" AJ turned to Punk nervously, "We should just leave."

"Look at all the knives on the table." Punk said, "She's insane." He shook his head, noticing he knives on the table were plastic.

"No, she's smart." AJ said, watching as she walked back into the dining room, followed by some men who were escorting three girls into the room, with black bags over their heads, hands tied behind their backs.

Punk watched closely, his stomach turning as he noticed the tattoo on one of the girls wrists, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath as he realised it was his children. AJ also suspected the worst, knowing fine well it was the girls just by their clothes and the way they moved.

"They're like your shadow, huh?" Janet smiled, "Wherever you go, they follow?" She questioned, grabbing the bag on Thea's head and pulling it off as Thea screwed her face up, noticing her mother and father across from her and shaking her head, turning around and noticing her two sisters sitting beside.

"Next." Janet hummed, grabbing the bag over Jude's head and pulling it off as Punk looked across at her.

"Oh my God, what are you doing?!" AJ yelled, standing up as Janet pointed the gun at Jude's head.

"Sit back down or lose a daughter." Janet said calmly as AJ sat down immediately whilst Jude looked across at Punk, deflated, almost unbothered by the gun against her head.

"Let them go." Punk shook his head, "Why-Why are they even here?" Punk questioned.

"Hey, don't look at me." Janet chuckled, "They brought themselves here." She said as Punk looked at Jude who stared across at him, "And last… and least, let's face it." Janet laughed a little, pulling the bag from Cassie's head, revealing her face which was beaten up badly, her eyes rolling back in and out of consciousness.

"Cassie." Punk whispered as AJ placed her hand over her mouth, tears streaming down her face.

"Yeah, she wouldn't sit still apparently." Janet nodded, grabbing Cassie by the hair to lift her head up, "Just a few scratches." She said as Punk looked on at the blood running down Cassie's face, turning away, feeling like he was going to throw up, "She'll live." Janet nodded, "Ok, you can all leave." She nodded to the guys who had brought the girls in as Punk looked over.

"Hey!" Punk yelled at them as they turned around, "You're all dead." He nodded to them, remembering their faces as they all carried on out of the house.

"Ok… who's ready to eat?" Janet smiled as Punk and AJ looked across at their daughters as Janet smiled to herself. She had them exactly where she wanted them.
