Randy looked at John as they were on the field practicing. Lindsay had told him that Natalie was going on a date with Roman and he wondered how John would take that.
"On the field gentlemen." The coach said to them. "Reigns, you're late." He said as Roman came onto the field.
"Sorry. I had a meeting with marketing."
"Get practicing." Roman nodded and headed over to Randy and John as he was in their group today for practice.
"Randy, John," Roman said as he walked up.
"Roman, meeting in marketing?" John replied.
"Yeah with Natalie." He replied. "She wanted to go over some endorsement deals."
"Shouldn't your agent do that?" John asked a little annoyed.
"He talks to Natalie and they work together."
"I didn't think Bobby Roode liked someone else telling him anything."
"He likes Natalie's input because I like her input."
John looked at him. "You like Natalie's input?" He asked as Randy threw the ball to Roman.
"Yeah, she's a smart woman," Roman replied throwing it to Seth Rollins.
John caught the ball from Seth and throw it to Kofi Kingston. He didn't say anything else to Roman. But he felt there was something more to Natalie helping Roman and he wanted to know what it was. After practice was over, he headed to the corporate offices and to Natalie's office. He knocked on the door and waited for her to say come in. Once he heard it, he walked in.
"John, what are you doing here? I'm not handling you anymore. Michael Cole is."
"I know that but I wanted to talk to you." He said walking in and sitting down.
"I don't think we have anything to talk about."
"What's going on with you and Roman?" He asked. "He said you're working with Bobby Roode on Roman's endorsements."
"I am." She replied. "Bobby and Roman trust my input."
"Why? Bobby is the agent. He should be handling the endorsements."
"Why do you care?" Natalie asked. "You and I broke up. We canceled the wedding. You're with that whore you were sleeping with. So, why do you care what I do?"
"It's just weird that you're working with an agent on endorsements."
She sighed. "John, it's not unusual for someone in my position to help with endorsements. I just didn't care for your agent and didn't want to work with her. And now I know why. Maybe I sensed something but didn't pay attention to it."
"But why Roman?"
"Because Roman and I are friends." She looked at him. "And my personal or professional life isn't any of your business."
"Personal life?" He asked. "Are you dating Roman or Bobby?"
She sighed. "Well, Bobby and I have had dinner and lunch together. But Roman and I have too."
"Are you dating them?"
"That's not your business. And I have a busy day, so excuse me." She said opening the door. "So, leave."
He looked at her and left. He wanted to know is she was dating someone. But it was obvious, she wasn't going to tell him. He decided to see Lindsay and see if she would tell him. He headed to her place and knocked on the door.
"John, what are you doing here?" She asked when she opened the door.
"I wanted to talk to you."
"Okay, about what?"
"Is Natalie dating Roman Reigns or Bobby Roode?"
"What?" Lindsay asked him.
"Is Natalie dating Roman Reigns or Bobby Roode?" He repeated the question.
"Why do you want to know?" She asked him. "You and she are broken up."
"I just need to know."
Lindsay sighed. "John, you and Natalie are finished. You cheated on her and what she does isn't your business anymore."
"That tells me she is dating one of them."
"No, it doesn't. It means just what I said. It's not your business."
"I will find out."
"Then Natalie can tell you if she wants you to know."
"Lindsay, please just tell me."
"John, I don't know if she's dating them or anyone else. All I know is she has had dinner with them both but it was all business."
"Alright. That's all I wanted to know." He said before walking out.
Lindsay sat down once he had left. She had no idea why John was so interested in what Natalie was doing. He was dating his agent now, so why did he care what Natalie was doing?
Randy arrived back at Lindsay's place after practice. It had been an interesting one. John was asking questions about Natalie and if she was dating someone. And he was very hostile with Roman.
"Tough practice?" Lindsay asked when he walked in.
"Yes, John was hostile to Roman, which made practice hard for everyone. John is being weird about Natalie. They broke up and he's seeing someone else. Why does he care about what Natalie is doing?"
"I don't know." She replied. "He came here and asked me about Natalie dating Roman Reigns or Bobby Roode. I told him I didn't know. Because I don't."
"It's crazy." He replied. "So, how are you and the little one feeling?"
"We are good." She smiled. "So, tomorrow, we find out what we're having."
"And I can't wait." He smiled.
"I never thought I would see this side of you. It's way different than the way things started."
He looked at her. "I know. I was a jerk at the beginning and I promise to spend the rest of our life making that up to you."
"The rest of our lives?! Are you proposing?"
He looked at her. "I wanted to do this more romantic. But yes, I'm asking you to marry me." He said as he took out the ring he had in his pocket. She looked at him. This was all moving a little fast. They had gone from strangers to having a baby to sort of dating and now he wanted to marry her. She didn't know what to say. "Look, I know this is all happening pretty quickly. And you don't have to give me an answer now. But I do love you. And I love this baby and I'm not going anywhere."
"Alright." She replied. "Give me some time."
"Of course." He replied. "And whatever you decide, we can make anything work." He leaned in and kissed her. She smiled when he did. She knew time was what she needed to decide how all of this would go.
