So that last chapter, hey? I'm torn on if I should make a big multi-chapter thing or just keep the event to the one chapter. PLEASE let me know which you'd prefer :)
(MARINETTE'S P.O.V.)
"Are you sure you'll be okay getting to school, Marinette," Sabine sounded sceptical.
"I'll be fine, I promise," Marinette chirped back, stumbling along on her crutches.
"Are you sure? Neron could-"
"I'm fine!" The last thing Marinette wanted was for Adrien to see her with Neron again after the last incident. She made her way out the door and headed to school. Her phone was still lost, meaning she hadn't spoken to Adrien or Alya in 3 days. 'Who do I like more?' she thought to herself. As if on cue, Adrien's car pulled up next to her. He opened the door and patted the seat next to him.
"Need a lift, mi-Marinette," he quickly corrected his mistake, bashfully rubbing the back of his neck.
"I-It'd probably help," she smiled, slightly out of breath. "I didn't realise how exhausting crutches were." Marinette made her way into the car beside Adrien. Her heart fluttered slightly, but not as much as it used to. After all, he was her boyfriend now.
"Marinette," his tone was endearing, "how did this happen?" Adrien slid a hand onto her outer thigh. Her face went bright red in an instant as caring green eyes examined her face. His hand felt warm on her leg, a similar sensation to last night. His thumb moved backwards and forwards, Marinette's leg sensitive to each motion.
"Uh, w-well you s-see," she stuttered through her worked up feelings, "I sorta k-kinda tripped when it was r-raining the other d-d-day." Her cheeks felt like flushed even more, if that was physically possible.
"I see," Adrien spoke softly, changing his gaze to the ground. His hand stopped moving. The pair sat in silence for a minute or so before Adrien turned back to Marinette. He studied her face as it gazed out the window, then lay his head on her shoulder. A sudden wave of emotion flooded through Marinette. She thought back to Chat Noir collapsing onto her shoulder, the heat warming her heart. Her sudden pleasure was mixed with an unknown sadness. Just as she raised her hand to Adriens head, the car came to a halt.
"Ah, we're here already," Adrien sounded disappointed at his own words. "Come on, let's go." He unbuckled his seatbelt and took Marinette's hand, interlocking their fingers. The door swung open to Alya and Nino giggling among themselves. Adrien helped Marinette out of the car and held her crutches. She stood in a daze as the car pulled away. She couldn't believe Adrien was here, holding her hand for everyone to see.
"It might be a bit hard to walk if you hold my hand," he smiled with an obvious plan in his head. He let go of Marinette's hand and swiftly brought her arm around his shoulder. His arm then wrapped around her waist, bringing the pair close together.
"There," he beamed, "that's better."
Later that day...
(ADRIEN/CHAT NOIR'S P.O.V.)
As the sun set, Adrien couldn't help but think about Marinette. It had only been 2 hours since school finished, but he missed her dearly. Everything about her made him smile. She even liked the part of himself that most people didn't know existed.
"I have to go see her, Plagg," he pleaded to his kwami. The cat-like creature shoved a piece of Camembert into his mouth, then gave Adrien a look that could only mean 'you owe me'.
"Plagg, claws out!"
(MARINETTE/LADYBUG'S P.O.V.)
A gentle breeze blew atop Marinette's balcony. She had found that transforming into ladybug eased her pain, allowing her to make her way out to watch the sun set. A sense of calm washed over her as she closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath in, freed her mind of everything clouding it. At this moment, she was just simply a girl standing outside appreciating a sunset.
"Bugaboo, a distant voice drew closer, "What a surprise to see you out here." It was none other than Chat Noir. He took advantage of his lady's position and stood directly behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He pulled her in closer, letting the suits touch each other. Ladybug didn't complain and accepted the embrace. Her face, while beet red, was plastered with a smile from ear to ear.
"If I didn't know any better I might've said you were falling for me, milady," Chat whispered into her ear. Shivers ran all throughout ladybug's body. A small audible gasp was let out in reaction.
"Don't tell me after all this time my charm is finally getting to you," Chat mischievously grinned, swapping to the other ear. The heroine tipped her head back ever so slightly in reaction, along with a small, sharp inhale through her nose. Chat hovered by ladybug's flushing cheek for a few seconds before drawing back. She felt powerless to his every move.
"Tell me," he sighed. "Do you like me more than Adrien Agrest?"
Dun dun duuuun! Before I continue, I need to know if you all think the multi-chapter plot point would be better or the single chapter one. They're more or less the same, just the multi chap one is a bit more dramatic :P
Love you all (*︶*)
