Naruto (Naruto)

"Hey Kagome!" Naruto waved as he ran to catch up with her on the road. "Where are you going?"

"I have to go to the market to pick up a few things. Do you have the day off Naruto?" She smiled as they started walking side by side down the road.

"Yep so I will be your bag carrier today." His grin was near infectious.

"Ok I will hold you to it then." She smiled and gave her greetings to the first shopkeeper they encountered and to each they went to afterwards.

"What are you planning on making with all of this stuff?" He put the ingredients together in his head and nearly grinned but he didn't want to give up quite yet.

"Something special." Her smile nearly breathtaking as her head turned to face him. "One last stop and then we are done." Her eyes looked at the sky and the dwindling light.

"Hello Kagome, what can I get for you today?" The butcher asked as he washed his hands and dried them.

"A one pound slab of pork belly please, uncut if you have it?" She smiled politely as she watched the butcher do his trade. She did miss the grin Naruto gave her behind her back.

He knew it for sure now she was making his favorite ramen, he nearly drooled at the thought. As they walked back down the street back to her place his mind going over on how to invite himself over.

When they got to her door he reluctantly handed her bags back to her and they awkwardly stood in silence while she tried to gain her nerve. When he turned to leave she started finally gaining her nerve.

"Would you like to come in for some ramen before you go?" Kagome cheeks reddened and she hoped her innuendo wouldn't go over his head.

"I don't have to leave afterwards do I?" His cheeks tinted.

"No." She flushed from her head to toes. "You can stay as long as you want.."

The apartment door shut behind them.

Authors note:

So for those of us who watch a lot of international dramas like k-dramas have probably heard this innuendo before with some shows. It's the new Netflix and Chill.
