The group were walking through the woods and Lottie pointed out that there was a clearing up ahead. She asked her sister if Nero and her could go on ahead. Selene let them go as she looked at the now tired group. They had been walking for a few days since meeting the Squirtle Gang. It wasn't long before Lottie motioned for them to come to where they had gone. "Hurry guys! You gotta see the beach! It's so pretty!" She giggled before going to stand by Nero.

Selene was about to object but she decided against it as she followed her sister. Her eyes went wide as she saw the beautiful sunset. It was like a painting that a talented artist would've made.

"Wow, nice view!" Michelle said with a grin as she leaned on Luke as they stared out into the vast ocean. She looked towards Ash who was admiring the beach with Brock and Misty when she spotted a tiny Krabby scuttling to her cousin's feet. "Oh~ What a cute Krabby!" She chuckled.

Ash looked down and smiled,"Hello Krabby~" He said. The Krabby watched him before backing up and foaming at the mouth. He started to snap his claws in an aggressive way. Ash blinked and chuckled at the little crab's feisty nature. "Oh, so you want to battle?" He asked before looking at Pikachu. "Hey buddy, want to fight?" He asked. Pikachu replied with a nod before scampering over to his feet. Electricity sparking out of his cheek sacks.

"Pi pi chu chu pi! (Good luck big brother!)" Akiko cheered from on top of Michelle's head. Pikachu just gave a smile in response.

"Pikachu, quick attack!" Ash ordered as Krabby got ready to launch itself at the other pokemon. Pikachu quickly sprung into action and knocked the Krabby over. This gave Ash the chance to take out a pokeball and threw it at the Krabby. It moved a few times before the usual click sounded.

"That was strangely easy," Michelle said. "You got your work cut out for you," She said to Ash as he went to pick up the ball. Before Ash could say anything, the ball lit up and disappeared.

"At least Sandshrew will have someone to play with," Ash said with a smile.

Selene was sitting by the water and watched the sun set. She looked over to them and nodded. "Yeah, it was a great idea for you to send Sandshrew over to Professor Oak. He'll be in great hands," She said in a relaxed tone. Brock and Misty were standing nearby. Both were shocked at how smooth the battle was, as well as the capturing of the crab, but congratulated him none-the-less.

"Why don't we call Professor Oak to see if the transfer was ok, it doesn't hurt to make sure," Michelle said before looking around. "Though I don't see any signs of civilization at the moment"

Lottie was playing with Nero on the edge of the water when she spotted a lighthouse in the distance. "There's a lighthouse up there, I think it might have a phone," She said with a smile before giving a laugh as Nero picked her up and brought her over to the group, Selene following behind them.

"No signs, except that," Michelle said as she looked at the tower.

"Let's go before it gets fully dark. We might even be able to take up shelter there for the night," Selene said with a smile.

The group started to head toward the lighthouse, the sun set as it became night and a fog started to set in. "Hey guys, stay close so we don't fall over the edge," Michelle said as she got oks from everyone as they crowded together.

They finally got to the front yard of the lighthouse and Ash wiped his brow, "That was farther than it looked."

"Yeah...That's a very interesting door," Brock said as he looked at it. The door had different and rare pokemon etched into the wood.

"Guess we better ring the bell," Misty said as she stood behind Brock.

"I'll get it,' Ash said as he went to push a red button by the door. A creepy sound echoed, telling the owner that he had guests. Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu all freaked out from the ominous tone that resounded.

"Weird," Michelle muttered, "Wouldn't think anyone would choose that sound for a doorbell for a lighthouse."

"Yeah…" Selene said as she watched the door warily.

"Who's there?" Came a voice but it was all staticy and crackled from within the voice box.

"Uh, excuse us,sir, but we're travelers and we're lost. We were also wondering if you could let us use your phone," Brock said.

"We've been camping out for quite a while, and I'd sure appreciate a nice, comfy bed," Misty cut in.

"I was also wondering if I could use your kitchen to make some bacon double cheeseburgers for our group." Brock continued after he gently pushed Misty away from the speaker. "And I'd be more than happy to make something for you."

"That's great. Can you cook without using tofu?" Asked the voice.

Michelle looked at Selene and mouthed, 'why tofu?' Selene just gave a shrug while she spotted Lottie giving a confused face, her nose was crinkled.

"Oh sure, I can cook lots of things without using any tofu," Brock replied.

"That's good. I've been eating nothing but tofu since my cook went on vacation. Come on in," said the voice before the doors started to open.

Once open, the group entered and gawked at the architecture that was shown in the building. It was like night and day. Or what little of it they could see in the dark.

"What kind of lighthouse is this?" Luke asked through their minds.

"I don't know, but the guy's gotta be wealthy," Selene said as she admired the columns.

"Could you tell me where the phone is please?" Ash asked as he looked around.

"There's a phone right near you," said the voice.

"It's a little dark in here," Ash said as he looked around before spotting a video phone with a bellsprout dial right next to it. He smiled and went over to where it was. He picked up the bellsprout and started to dial Professor Oak's number. It took a second before the screen showed Professor Oak preparing his dinner.

It took a second for Oak to realize that he was being called. "Oh hello there, you just caught me cooking dinner."

"That better not be Ramen Samuel, you know that's not good for your health," Michelle said.

"I'm not Michelle, my chef is on vacation and I've got to fend for myself till she returns," Oak said with a smile as he started to stir the pot.

"It's Daisy isn't it?" Michelle deadpanned.

"Do you know what happened to my Krabby?" Ash asked as he came close to the screen.

"Don't worry, I'm taking good care of him, he's right here," Oak said as he pointed to the small fish bowl with Ash's Krabby in it. He then took a giant block of Tofu out of the pot. "It seems like both you and Gary have caught one," He said with a chuckle as he blew on the block.

Selene just shook her head as she went to go look around, Lottie and Nero had followed in suit. Her hand gently tracing at the wall as she looked at the pictures of Pokemon were etched.

"By the way, Ash, just where are you calling me from anyway?" Oak asked.

"We're at an old lighthouse way up on top of a cliff," Ash answered.

"Oh, that must be Bill's lighthouse," Oak said.

"Bill?" Michelle asked with peaked interest.

"It has to be, though this place looks darker than I remember," Selene said as she made her way back to the small group by the phone. Lottie had escaped Nero's grasp and was looking around in awe as her older brother was trying to grab her again.

"You guys have been here before?" Misty asked with a raised brow.

"Well, we know a lot of Professors from our parents," Michelle said.

"So naturally Bill would be one of them, as we call him Uncle Bill,' Selene said with a chuckle.

"Is that Selene and Michelle?" Bill asked as his voice echoed through the room. "It has been quite a long time, been away for a few years." He said before speaking to Oak. "It's nice to hear from you too Professor Oak."

"Hello Bill, glad to hear you are alright, I must be off though. Take good care of them now. My dinner is calling," He said before the screen went black.

"Well I obviously can't ignore my nieces and their friends. Welcome to my home," Bill said before the lights went on and Selene smiled.

"There we go, much better. Just like it used to be," Selene said as she looked around the room with better light.

"To those who don't know me, I'm Bill of the Lighthouse," Bill said from atop the staircase in a giant Kabuto suit.

"Oh no, not again," Michelle said as she shook her head.

Selene just sighed and went up and started to help get the suit off. "Here you are Uncle Bill. How long have you been stuck like this."

"I've been stuck for a couple of hours. Selene dear, do you think you could press the button under these tiny arms." Bill said and Selene nodded. The bottom part of the pokemon suit fell off to reveal the man.

"Next time put a button on the inside, Uncle Bill," Michelle said with a sigh and a shake of her head.

"I'll try to think of that next time Michelle," He chuckled before hearing Misty pipe up.

"Did you come from a costume party?" She asked.

"No, it's not for a party. This is a special costume that I use in my research. Getting inside its skin helps me get inside its head."

"What do you mean?" Brock asked.

"Well there are many kinds of extinct pokemon, and I want to understand how they live. Putting on a costume is one way of trying to figure out what they were like," Bill started to explain. "There are also legends of a place that held a race of people that were part pokemon. Features that are physically linked to the ones we have here as well as their powers. It is said that they were favored by the legendaries."

"Wow," Both Brock and Misty said aloud while Ash just nodded in slight remembrance.

"Indeed, this planet was created 4.6 billion years ago. During that time, all kinds of Pokemon existed. They had many ways of living," Bill said as he went and sat down on a step.

"Kind of like people," Michelle said as she went and sat beside him, Luke following behind her.

Bill nodded before looking at the Brock, Misty and Ash. "You're lucky to be Pokemon trainers. Your goal is to catch all of these different kinds of Pokemon. That's a great task. But of course there are more pokemon that still haven't been found. So we need to keep searching."

"Has he always been this philosophical?" Misty asked the girls.

"Yes, sadly," Selene said with a small chuckle.

"So what have you been up to Uncle Bill?" Michelle asked as she tried to divert him from his philosophical thinking to something different.

"Right now, there's only one Pokemon I'm searching for," Bill said.

Ash raised a brow. "What kind of Pokemon?" He asked curiously.

"It's better for me to tell you in a different setting," Bill answered as he guided the group to the very top of his lighthouse. There they could see the expansion of the sea. "It's probably the biggest Pokemon ever."

"If you don't count the legendaries, Uncle Bill," Michelle said before he nodded.

"Well bigger than all the normal Pokemon and no one has ever seen it. It's been wandering the world for years and years, looking for friends," Bill said as he looked out longingly into the sea.

"But doesn't that Pokemon have any friends or family?" Misty asked.

"The Pokemon wanders because it's alone. It's the only Pokemon of its species, one of a kind. One night, I heard this very strange sound coming across the ocean." Bill then took out a small remote from his inner coat pocket and pressed a button. A sound of melodic wailing was heard from the lighthouse. "I want...I want to meet you." That's what it said to me," Bill explained to the small group. "Some time ago, I recorded a similar sound, and played it from the lighthouse towards the ocean. "Let's be friends. I want to meet you." Is what I played back in the sea. One day, I heard the same voice calling back to me from over the ocean. It said "I want to meet you too. I want to be friends" It was answering me back. Some foggy night, that Pokemon might come here to meet a friend it's been seeking for a very long time. I would be so happy to meet that Pokemon."

"But will you try to capture the Pokemon?" Ash asked in worry.

"Why do I need to capture it? Meeting it would be enough for me. Just a chance to study it would make my long wait worthwhile," Bill said as he turned to the group before they heard a soft wailing from the sea.

"Did anyone else hear that?" Michelle asked before Selene gave a nod.

The group then went to the railing and peered into the fog. A soft gasp from Bill was heard as they saw a shadow emerge.

"Hey Luke, try to see it with Aura Sight," Michelle said to the Lucario. He nodded and tried. His eyes started to go Blue as he tried to figure out what it was.

"Uh Michelle. That's a Dragonite," Luke said to her through Aura Speech. Its wailings continued.

"It's here. The signal," Bill said as he tried to signal his own speech back to bring it closer..

"I can't believe that is a Dragonite," Michelle muttered to Luke. "How in the reverse world did he get that big?" She asked in disbelief. Luke just shrugged.

The lighthouse started to change colors as the Dragonite tried to come in contact with the recordings.

"It sounds like it's singing," Misty said as she listened throughtfully.

Brock took the opportunity to ask Misty a question, "Care to dance?" He asked as he bowed his head a little.

Michelle raised a brow and whispered to Selene, "Is there something between the two of them that I didn't know about?"

Selene shrugged as Misty answered in a yes and the two started to dance in the background. Pikachu and Akiko started to sing as they swayed side to side.

The creature started to come closer and closer to the lighthouse until a giant explosion went off to it's right. Sparks of light and a cloud of dust was seen and the creature roared and reeled back in shock. Out of anger, the Dragonite destroyed the top of the lighthouse making the group run for cover inside the home. More explosions were heard as the creature roared.

"What the heck is going on?!" Michelle said as she looked for an answer.

Bill ignored her as he looked at the creature start to move away. "Please don't go!"

As the Dragonite was turning to leave, Michelle and Selene tried to coax him out. "Hey wait!" Michelle called. "Please, just come out of the mist for a minute. He has been waiting for you for a very long time. You have as well, haven't you?"

The dragonite stopped for a second and looked over his shoulder. The group saw hesitation at first, clearly thinking that more explosions were going to happen, even though he got rid of the troublemakers. He slowly made his way back to the shore, even if it was just for a moment.

The group held their breath as the giant creature was soon in front of them once more. He leaned forward and his head broke through the mist. Bill gasped seeing it was a dragonite and was going to say something but the head was already pulling back with a slight smile. He now knew that he could come back another time. With a final roar he was out of sight.

Misty was stunned and she fell to her knees. "It was a Dragonite," She said softly in shock.

Brock pondered, "I wonder how he got so big."

"What do you think Uncle Bill?" Michelle asked.

Bill just smiled, "I'm not sure yet, but I have a feeling that I will figure it out one day."
