Chapter 21: The Beasts Explosion (The Half Story-Half Review Chapter)
"It seems that Naganadel is a true beast!" Tierno jumps up from his seat "What a powerful Pokemon!"
Sawyer nods in agreement "It seems to be a powerhouse! I wonder what type it really is!"
"Well… the announcer said it could be a Poison/Bug Type" Shauna comments, looking input by her friends.
"I don't think it's a Bug type at all" Clemont adds his theory "Unfezant's attacks weren't that effective. I think it might be a Flying Type or maybe something else, like a Dragon Type"
"It does look like a Dragon now that I think about it…" Serena mulls over that theory.
In the battlefield…
"Naganadel! Are you up for another battle?" Ash questions his Ultra Beast Pokemon.
"Naaa!" Naganadel nods excitedly.
"Trainer Alain choose your next Pokemon!"
Alain pulls a Pokeball "I need your help! Come out, Bisharp!"
"Sharp!" Bisharp stands in front of its trainer.
"Be careful, Naganadel!" Ash warns his Ultra Beast "It's a dangerous one!"
"You're right Ash!" Alain smirks as he pushes his arm to the side "Bisharp use Iron Head!"
Silver energy coats Bisharp's head as it runs towards Naganadel.
"Keep it away! Use Thunderbolt!"
Naganadel releases a powerful Thunderbolt towards Bisharp.
"Dig your blades onto the ground!" Alain calls out to Bisharp.
Bisharp stabs the ground and takes on the Thunderbolt with little to no damage "Sharp!"
"Heh!" Ash chuckles seeing this "Okay, let's see if you can dodge this one! Naganadel use X-Scissor!"
"Block it with Iron Head!"
Bisharp clashes head against stinger with Naganadel.
"Direct contact!" Ash shouts out "Use Thunderbolt! There's no escape!"
"What!?" Alain steps back in surprise "Get away from there!"
Bisharp tried to twist away, but Naganadel's stinger held the Steel/Dark type in place. It was not long before yellow light filled the stadium along the cries of Bisharp.
Seeing this, Alain decides to create some distance "Use Psycho Cut!"
Bisharp's blades got covered in pink energy that it uses to strike Naganadel. The Ultra Beast screeches at the pain dealt, confirming part of Alain's thoughts…
"It's a Poison Type alright, but it's also another type and I don't think it's Bug type… and if I'm right…" He pulls out a Pokeball "Bisharp return!"
Ash frowns at Alain's words, thinking on their implications…
"Weavile I need your help!" Alain throws another Pokeball "Use Icicle Crash!"
Icicles appeared over Naganadel at Weavile's command that quickly fell on Naganadel.
"Dodge it!"
Naganadel weaves around the Icicles but is soon overwhelmed. Meanwhile Weavile smirks at this.
"Hone Claws while Naganadel is busy!" Alain makes a clawing motion with his hand.
Weavile's claws shine brightly as its attack and accuracy rose. Soon after, Weavile gave a mighty cry as the power up was complete.
"Now more Icicle Crash!" Alain smirks at this "I was right, it's a Dragon type!"
More ice showers on Naganadel who can't do much but being hit after being overwhelmed.
Ash thinks on this and decides to bring out an old move "Naganadel destroy them with Dragon Pulse! Spin to cover your body!"
From Naganadel's stinger comes off purple energy and, as it spins around, it forms a protective cocoon, the counter shield. It wards off most of the Icicles due to the type disadvantage, but it does its work and Naganadel can battle again.
"What an inventive move by Ash Ketchum!" The announcer says excitedly "Does he have more tricks like that!?"
"You bet we do!" Ash cheers at the success of the move "Now fly towards Weavile and use X-Scissor!"
"That's won't do Ash!" Alain smiles as his plan comes to fruition "Weavile use Beat Up!"
Weavile body is covered by a red glow that has the Pokemon smirking in satisfaction.
Suddenly, two red lights come from Alain's belt and Charizard and Bisharp come out of their respective Pokeballs.
"What!?" Ash's eyes widen at the appearance of two more Pokemon "What happened?!"
Naganadel stops as well, not sure of what's going on.
In the Champion's Booth…
"Alain has used Beat Up, huh?" The Professor smiles in reminiscence "I remember him teaching his Sneasel that move"
"The ability to bring out your teammates to the battlefield legally is truly terrifying" Diantha comments with a shudder.
In the battlefield…
'Now that's gotta be illegal!' Ash looks at the Referee for help, but only gets a shake of the head.
"Beat Up is a legal move that can be used in League sanctioned battles"
That was his answer apparently…
"It's can't be that powerful that move!" Ash shouts as he pumps his arms "Naganadel use Dragon Pulse! Full Power!"
Naganadel nods and uses its three stingers to charge a Dragon Pulse.
Meanwhile Alain nods confidently at his Pokemon, a serious look crossing his eyes "Weavile use Dark Pulse! Charizard use Flamethrower! Bisharp use Steel Beam!"
The Three Pokemon charge their attack and they release it just at Naganadel released the concentrated power of three Dragon Pulse.
The moves clash in the middle ground and the struggle for victory starts. The winds caused by the clash blew the grass of the battlefield and scorched the point where the moves connected.
Ash held his hat while Pikachu held for dear life. Alain covered his eyes with his arm, but still tried to look at the battle.
"What a powerful clash!" The announcer breathes out, incredulous at the powers shown in the battlefield.
Naganadel pushed as much power as it could, but the power of three Pokemon eventually overpowered it.
The clash of moves tilts in Alain's favour as Weavile, Charizard and Bisharp push more power and revert the move on Naganadel, causing an enormous explosion.
"Naganadel!" Ash cries out for his Pokemon, only to see it falling down from the smoke cloud.
"Naganadel can't battle anymore!"
In the stands…
"Really it took three Pokemon to take down that… beast" Trevor comments while snapping a photo of the three Pokemon on the field.
"Naganadel was strong, but that Beat Up move is completely overpowered" Clemont adjusts his glasses in thought "Ash's lucky that Alain didn't start the finals with that Pokemon and move…"
Charizard and Bisharp were suddenly recalled in their Pokeball automatically, as the move seemed to be valid for one attack.
"So Ash must be down to Greninja and Pikachu" Sawyer hypothesizes out loud "Ash still can turn this around…"
In the battlefield…
Ash looks at the Beast Ball with a smile "Thanks for your help bud" He pockets it and thinks on his choices… 'So… Weavile has a powerful move like Beat Up… Also it has Icicle Crash, Dark Pulse and Hone Claws… Bisharp has Psycho Cut, Iron Head and Steel Beam… whatever the last one is… and finally Charizard…'
The trainer looks at his rival and sighs… before he does something he hasn't done in a long time…
He pulls his hat backwards…
In the void…
"Hoo…" Brock smirks at what's to come "That's a good sign"
"Indeed" Professor Oak smiles seeing this "Ash looks for a way to get out of prickly situations… his stubbornness shows when he does that"
In the battlefield…
"Pika!"
Ash looks to his partner with a knowing smile "I knew you would understand, Pikachu!"
Pikachu nods and jumps from Ash's shoulder into the battlefield.
"And Ash's fifth Pokemon is none other than his trusty Pikachu!"
"Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Pikachu gets covered in white energy as he streaks through the battlefield, reaching Weavile.
"Weavile dodge and use Icicle Crash!"
Weavile dodges the Quick Attack easily and created Icicles over Pikachu.
"Send them back with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu jumps, tail ignited with steel type energy and sends them back to their caster.
Weavile's eyes widen in shock as its own attack is used against it.
"Vile!" Weavile feels the pain behind Pikachu's attack.
"Now Quick Attack again!" Ash commands and Pikachu serves as it zooms towards Weavile once again, appearing in front of the Pokemon "Now get it with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu quickly spins and nicks Weavile with Iron Tail, pushing it towards its trainer.
"Weavile!" Alain grits his teeth until he comes to the conclusion of needing to use it again… "Weavile use Beat Up again!"
Weavile was about to perform its attack again, the smirk returning to its features, but Ash shouts a command at Pikachu before that.
"Don't let it use it!" Ash shouts alarmed "Use Electroweb!"
Faster than most Pokemon, Pikachu charges up an Electroweb that it throws at Weavile, who was preparing to use the overpowered move.
Alain, though saw the whole thing "Watch out Weavile!"
Weavile looks up too late as the Electroweb covered it completely "We!?"
"Now Pikachu finish this with Thunderbolt!" Ash shouts with the same intensity as Pikachu cries it move…
"Pi… Ka… Chu!"
The Thunderbolt attack hits its intended target and the electric web explodes in a shower of sparks.
Weavile comes from the explosion unconscious and smoking…
"Weavile cannot continue!" The referee calls out.
The crowd cheers at this turn of events.
"Thank you for your help" Alain pockets Weavile's Pokeball and pulls out the next one "Bisharp stand for battle!"
Ash looks at Bisharp and nods "Better take the Band-Aid now rather that latter" He mutter as he pulls a Pokeball "Pikachu come back!"
That shocked most in the battlefield, thought Pikachu took it in stride and ran to Ash's side.
"I'm going to need you later, pal" He tells Pikachu as he calls his next in "Incineroar it's your turn!"
The Heel Pokemon comes out of his Pokeball with a mighty roar that is heard all over the stadium.
In the stands…
"What's that Pokemon!?" Bonnie exclaims everyone's thoughts "And were is Greninja!?"
In the Battlefield…
"Where's your Greninja!?" Alain questions Ash, a shadow covering his eyes "The reason I joined this tournament is… to fight you and Greninja!"
The crowds shared in this thought and booed at Incineroar.
One of them got testy and threw a plastic bottle at Incineroar, who looked as it fell down to the ground. Incineroar looks at the man who threw the bottle, then roars as he picks the bottle up, lighting it up in flames.
Ash, meanwhile fumbled over words about what excuse to give "Err... Greninja got hurt yesterday while training… so yeah… that"
Everyone sweat drops at that "Liar"
Incineroar seems to be an impatient one, as it growls at Ash something that the trainer seems to understand.
"You're right, Incineroar, we're here to fight!" Ash pumps his arms and shouts "Let's get started then! Incineroar use Flame Charge!"
Fire covers the Pokemon who smirks as it dashes towards Bisharp.
"Bisharp counter with Steel Beam!"
Bisharp charges the move on its forehead and shoots it towards Incineroar.
"Dodge it!"
Incineroar smirks as it sidesteps the powerful beam and tackles the Sword Blade Pokemon to the ground, not only bathing it in fire, but also grappling it so it can't escape.
"Now Incineroar use Fire Blast point blank!"
"Get away! Bisharp!"
Bisharp couldn't get away as the strong grip the rival Pokemon had impeded that. And so, Incineroar charges a Fire Blast through its belly and shoots it along Bisharp to the sky, where it exploded, leaving Bisharp on its last leg.
"Bisharp get up! Use Guillotine on Incineroar!"
Bisharp gets up and charges it's blades with white energy. Soon it runs at Incineroar, ready to deliver the One-Hit KO move.
Ash merely smiles at his Pokemon "Catch it, Incineroar"
Incineroar smirks as he swiftly twists around Bisharp grips both arms. Incineroar holds up Bisharp's arms extended to each side.
"Now use Darkest Lariat!"
Incineroar's smirk widens at the command. Its arms light up with fire and starts rotating, taking Bisharp along for the ride.
Incineroar spins in place at high speeds, releasing its victim at the peak of speed. Bisharp flew through the stadium until it slammed in among the crowds, right where the man who threw the bottle at Incineroar sat.
The Heel Pokemon grins at both of them in victory.
"Incredible! Ash's Incineroar has defeated Bisharp with ease!" The announcer cries out "Can this behemoth be on par with Alain's Charizard!?"
Incineroar punches its pecs and gives a loud roar for the crowd.
"Now comes the real challenge, Incineroar!" Ash warns his Pokemon "Be careful!"
"Roar!"
In the stands…
"Ash turned this around…" Sawyer's eyes were filled with stars of admiration "As expected of Ash!"
"Now Ash has two Pokemon and Alain has his Charizard…" Serena looks hopeful at this.
Clemont not so much "I wouldn't be so sure about that…"
"Why do you say that Brother?" Bonnie looks at her brother, Squishy looking up as well.
"Simply because of Charizard's Mega Evolution" Tierno answers for Clemont "If this Incineroar can't beat Charizard, then the job is for Pikachu… and while Pikachu is undoubtedly strong, can it beat a Mega Charizard?"
In the field…
"Charizard come out!"
Ash fists tighten at the sight of that Pokemon…
Charizard looks at Incineroar, as if measuring him "Char…"
"Roar" Incineroar smirks and taunts his opponent making a 'come' motion with his hand.
The stadium watches in silence, expectant of what's to come…
"Incineroar use Flame Charge again!"
The Heel Pokemon is bathed in flames and runs at Charizard, who tensed at the sight.
"Use Thunder Punch!"
Charizard takes flight towards the oncoming Incineroar and extends its fist, already sparking.
They meet in the middle, with Incineroar concentrating the fire around its body in one fist, clashing fire with thunder.
Both push as much as they can, sparks and embers flying off the clash. It was that moment that Charizard brought a second Thunder Punch with its other fist, slamming it into an unsuspicious Incineroar.
Incineroar growls at the move in annoyance. It was not a clean move…
"Use Darkest Lariat!"
Incineroar's arms paws light up in fire and he starts spinning towards Charizard.
"Defend with Dragon Claw!"
Charizard uses Dragon Claw to hold Incineroar's tornado back, but is not enough as the latter proves stronger and pushes back, connecting multiple hits.
Charizard growls at the Heel Pokemon in defiance and looks at his trainer…
"It's time then" Alain brings his Mega Ring up one more time "Listen to my heart, Keystone! Surpass evolution with Mega Evolution!"
As Charizard Mega Evolved, Ash looks at Incineroar and shouts "Just a little more, Incineroar! We need to buy all the time we can!"
Charizard roars as the light vanishes from its body. Now black and blue scales covered its body, along with blue flames that showed how hot they were…
"Charizard show them your power!" Alain's demeanour turns serious "Even if we're not battling that Greninja, Ash proved to be a strong Pokemon Trainer! Probably one of the strongest we ever fought… we're going to show them all our power!"
"Char!"
"Use Flamethrower!"
Charizard releases a wide stream of blue fire that sails at Incineroar.
"Counter with Fire Blast!" Ash calls back.
Incineroar creates a big fire ball from its belt bell that he punches, turning it into a 大 (Dai) symbol that flew at the flamethrower, initially overcoming it.
Soon it was proved to be an incorrect assessment as the Flamethrower pushed the fire move back.
Incineroar dives out of the Firethrower's path and executes a Flame Charge at his trainer's behest.
"Meet it with Dragon Claw!"
Charizard flies and pushes its two Dragon Claws into the fiery Incineroar, who's pushed back by the power.
"Now finish it with Blast Burn!" Alain punches the ground just as his own Pokemon does the same.
The move makes it way to Incineroar, but Ash is prepared for it "Incineroar take it on!"
"How!?" Alain's eyes widen the order.
Incineroar smirks as it bathes on the fires of, absorbing the flames into its body.
Soon, the belt bell on Incineroar's body shines brightly from the energy absorbed.
"I can't believe it! Ash's Incineroar absorbed the Blast Burn into its body! I've never seen anything like that!" The Announcer looks ready to faint at this.
Ash smiles at Incineroar before turning to look at his rival "Alain meet Blast Incineroar!"
BREAK
Things heated up, right?
Sorry bad pun.
Anyway welcome to the next chapter of this story. I just realized that this is chapter 21… which means I passed the 20 chapter barrier… It's so cool, I mean, I never had a story with so many chapters (The longest story still is Eureka Seven, but it's an old one).
Back onto the story, things happened.
If Alain wasn't OP before with three Megas, now he has a Weavile that can use Beat Up… I can see where the writers come with avoiding that move on the anime. It would be too OP and it would break the Anime Metagame.
Alain deciphered Naganadel's type and made the correct changes for the game.
So Naganadel loses that way, but Pikachu doesn't let that happen, giving a lecture on Pokemon battling for Weavile.
After that comes Bisharp again who can't help but be beaten by Ash's Incineroar, who plows through with sheer power.
Onto Ash's Incineroar's strength, I see people having differing thoughts.
The truth of the matter is that Ash's Incineroar doesn't have battle experience. The only chance it had to shine was against Kiawe's Charizard in their final battle, but the mustard used Lycanroc.
Incineroar is supposed to be a very strong Pokemon. I'm taking in account that it beat Kukui's Incineroar, which was strong enough to beat Gozu's Mega Aggron with little effort, Mad Magmar's Magmortar and Ash's very own Melmetal. So taking that in account, Ash's Incineroar should be stronger after evolving, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. But that's the main reason it beat Bisharp so easily and is taking on Charizard, even if with some serious effort.
That out of the way, the battle comes to Blast Incineroar vs. Mega Charizard.
A question for you guys, isn't Ash's Incineroar ability Blaze? Maybe I misinterpreted what happened in the battle between Ash and Kukui, but didn't Torracat and Incineroar use Blaze ability? Tell me your thoughts.

Onto reviews…
ZerothMask: I 100% agree with you on Unfezant, and you have nothing to apologize over it. Also, love the slight detail of giving Ash some traumatic spacing. It makes it seem like the loss really hit him hard. Good job!
ME: Thanks haha the traumatic part also plays on Sun and Moon's comedy tone.
Lightningblade49: Three mega's in one team...yeah Nebby would be handy to replace Pikachu for the alola team.
ME: Is it though?
Hall Gowrt: I will kill you for that burasto... wait *cries* it hurts man, it hurts...
ME: It happens to everyone bro, I feel you.
Shazim62202116: Can you make pikachu go ash pikachu? that would be epic and a good replacement of ash Greninja.
can you fuse kalos, sinnoh and alola ash?i mean kalos ash does NOT stand a chance against tobias with his kalos only ones that stand a chance is pikachu or greninja but keep in mind that tobias would likely be far more powerful so i don,t think they can handle the whole it so darkrai fuses fused ash would have the skills of alola, the creative mind of sinnoh and the matureness of is the only way they can defeat mix the sinnoh, kalos and alola teams.
the best optional would of course be their aces.
alola pikachu
blaze infernape
ash greninja.
the others are.
naganadel
hawlacha
gliscor/gible(mabye evolve it)or buizel
did you like the ash vs kukui battle?
ME: I can't fuse kalos, Sinnoh and alola Ash, but I can fuse your reviews. I try to not stray away from what exists. I'm no good with creating stuff, tried my hand at a Fakemon and my little sister laughed in my face. Not trying that again…
About your second inquiry I don't think I can tell you much on that, I may spoil something. Sorry. :P
Onto the battle between Ash and Kukui, I loved it! Easily the best animated battle in the Sun and Moon anime! Specifically the battle between Naganadel and Tapu Koko, and Pikachu and Tapu Koko.
XD: It's been almost a year, it's good have you back. If Alain used the mega evolution on Tyranitar, then Charizard ... OH HOLY SHIT GIGANTAMAX. How will Ash defeat that very OP Charizard now that he can't use the Z-move again? Please say I'm wrong, PLEASE.
From that you mention, then Alain will use Mega Charizard X, at least for Ash that's better than Gigantamax Charizard (because he would have no idea what is it or how to beat it). However, Ash can't use the Z-move twice on a battle as seen in his battle with Kukui (they could use them again because the Tapu allowed it), unless the Tapu go against Arceus's authority.
PS: Great chapter, I am eager to read the next one.
ME: Thank you! It's good to be back honestly! The COVID quarantine gave me a reason! I swear, the thought crossed my mind, but no G-MAX haha. And yes, you're wrong, just because you asked it haha.
For the second part, look at the next review, it might answer your question… don't wanna write it so many times haha.
Thor94: interesting chapter, but since you went with multiple mega allowed, hope you plan ash use the same excuse with z-move saying "the rule say you can use Z-moves, but nothing said how many time you can use them" and activate few OHKO OP Z-moves once or twice again.
Personaninja Lux: Since the only 1 mega rule doesn't exist does that mean Ash can use his Z-moves multiple times as well since there's no rules against that as well also I haven't watch the Sun and Moon series' League because I couldn't catch up to it when it reached the final season like I did in XYZ so I didn't see the hype for it until I saw the Tokyosaurus vid about it, I can't wait for the reaction to Ash not having Greninja and then sending out a damn Legendary instead.
ME: I combined your reviews due to the same question. This is for XD as well. The only 1 mega works in the VG, just like in the Anime. The difference with the Z-moves are different from what I see. Z-moves take energy from the trainer and Pokemon, so it's a little different I think. They showed in battles only one Z-Move in each one, but outside of battle, Ash used two z-moves in an episode without Tapu Koko's intervention, so… I have to place some rules on that to not make Ash too OP. There wouldn't be a story otherwise haha. And it would spoil whatever Ash's preparing…
BOOM Fanfic-A-Latta: This is so epic. Also I'm half-expecting Greninja to randomly return despite how unlikely I know it is to Galen.
ME: Thanks dude/dudette! I appreciate it! I don't know what you're talking about with the Galen. If you expect Greninja to return to Galar, I honestly don't know, with the team he's cooking in the New Series, I don't think Greninja is needed at all :s
Ash the Aura Guardian: It's been a while since I read this...and I gotta say, I didn't expect it to take even half the turns that it did! Can't wait to see more! Also, it's weird that every Ash has done something so far, except the one from Kalos...what're you saving him for?
ME: Thank you! I'm glad you returned! It's weird… but remember there is one more league to fix still…
Guest #1: Thanks for the update a day later my dude.
ME: No problem, though this time it took more time! :s
Guest #2: (There was a really long review that you can read in the revs section that basically said that I downplayed the Alola trainers and the league, the user sent me this soon after)
Yeah I'm the one that left that really long review, after rereading everything, I realized I misread what you said. Yeah woops. Turns out you weren't downplaying Alola, well sorry for the long comment. Anyways, just wanted to say again I really enjoy this story, everything has been really fun!
ME: Don't worry! I jumped the button too many times to be a hypocrite haha. Thanks for your words! I try to balance fun and serious battles, but it's difficult! How Taika Waititi does it, I don't know :s
Flyg0n: I started reading this on a whim, and I have to say, I'm very amused. Also, I totally feel you. I hate Unfezant as well, I always thought that things was NASTY and I am happy to see it get destroyed. Overall, more interested in this than I expected to be. Can't wait to see how it ends.
ME: Thanks! I know that the summary isn't the best out there, but I think more people enter here for the kick than they'd like to admit haha. Ugh… Unfezant. Playing the other day in my 3ds against a guy using it. It was sad the abuse on Roost because there is nothing else it could do :s
Guest #3: Mind explaining this part? ("Kaenhoshaaa!" "KAMINARI PANCHI!" "BURASTO BANAAAA!" "DORAGON CROW!") I'm stupid and don't get the reference.
ME: No problem, the joke turned into a meme back in the 2016 when Ash's battle with Alain aired in japan. Because of that, the moves Alain used where said in Japanese and the joke uses its phonetic (Dragon Claw=Doragon Kurou – Blast Burn=Burasto Banaa – Flamethrower=Kaenhosha – Thunder Punch=Kaminari Panchi). Look up in google Doragon Cro/Kurou Meme :s
Two-Tone Dearly: I wonder if Ash will pull a little "something" from the Galar region to counter Alain's multiple mega evolutions? (and Arceus's cheating too)
ME: I wish, honestly, but I have to maintain some in-universe rules. This Ash is from Alola, so it won't know yet about Dynamax (Daimax) and Gigantamax (Kyodaimax), so unfortunately no. Also Dynamax work on that energy that's on Galar, so it's difficult.

That's all the reviews! DAMN I NEVER HAD SO MANY REVIEWS TO REPLY! THANK YOU SO MUCH. IN CONSEQUENCE, THE CHAPTER IS HALF STORY AND HALF REVIEWS :S
ANYWAY, next chapter we have the conclusion of this battle and a little surprise at the end. After that, we have Sinnoh and that's all…
Bye people!

Corrected an egregious mistake about typing. Thanks Blizzardblaze194 for pointing it out!
