Ep.11- Water You Waiting For?

I do not own Total Drama or any of the characters in this story except for Aaron Muet. Additionally, I do not own the intro song, Slide by Calvin Harris ft. Frank Ocean & Migos. The contestants belong to users on this site. Go check them out!

"Last time, on Total Drama Nawala Island." Aaron opened, flashing a grin at the camera. He was standing on the dock, blue skies surrounding him. "We saw zombies take over the island, leaving the campers fighting for survival- and immunity. Ash proved that Friedrich was not the most misogynistic contestant on the show by verbally abusing multiple girls. Nice! In addition, Maddie kept on stealing my freaking job!"

"You're just mad that she's better at it than you." Ashley called from behind the camera.

"Hey, no I'm not." Aaron frowned.

"She's damn right." Chef called from offscreen.

"Hey, I don't need all this negativity!" Aaron protested. "I know I'm good at my job. I don't need you guys to tell me otherwise."

"Chris was better."

"Chris is in prison!" Aaron yelled, tossing his hands up. "Okay, you know what? Fine, Ashley, you do this. I'm going on break." he walked off screen. A large splashing sound came suddenly after. "Who put this water here?"

"It's called the ocean." Ashley laughed, stepping into the camera's view. "Anyway, other stuff that happened last time: Brittany found an idol. Dana won the challenge. Aurora convinced Brittany to flip and vote for Ash. Both Ash and Aurora got sent home because Seven couldn't bring herself to vote Ash off. There, see how easy that was?" she turned towards Aaron.

"Boring!" he called, spitting water at her.

"Oh, screw off." she spat back.

"I'll fire you!" Aaron threatened.

"I'm the only one who knows what's going on!" she protested. "Anyway," she continued, facing the camera, "this is Total Drama Nawala Island!"

(Jason is shown tuning up Aaron's car from underneath it. The camera zooms out to show Alannah holding the car up with one hand, yawning)

Do you try on all your nights like this? (I might)

(Friedrich is deep in thought, staring at a paper while Arianna talks her mouth off in front of him)

Put some spotlight on the slide.

(Cassandra is shown outside the room, staring at them and smirking while Hubert leans on her shoulder)

Whatever comes, comes through clear.

(Cassandra notices him and shoves him off)

I might, empty my bank account

(Eclipse and Gabriel are shown walking through one of the jungle paths, talking)

And buy that boy with a pipe

(Ash is shown flirting with Aurora by a waterfall as Eclipse and Gabriel pass. She has a frown on her face)

Buy that boy with a pipe

(The camera zooms in on Dana and Arnold, hiding behind the waterfall)

I might

(The camera refocuses on all the campers sitting at a campfire on the beach. The logo appears, and the camera fades to black)

…..

"That makes zero sense." Friedrich protested. "Why would you vote out Ash? He was voting with us!"

"Look I just morally disagree-"

"You're damn lucky Aurora went home." Aria hissed at Brittany. "You're so so lucky Joy votes unpredictably every single time because we still have the numbers. If we lose this numbers advantage you're dead meat."

Aria Confessional: Usually I try to portray a nice girl image because it's better for maintaining relations in the game, but sometimes my bad side slips through. Oops!

"Hey, you can't talk to her like that!" Gabriel protested, stepping towards Aria.

"What're you gonna do about it?" she tilted her head up, meeting his stone cold gaze.

"Guys, can you all just chill out?" Jason suggested. "Look, I know the situation isn't ideal but like you said Aria, we still have the numbers advantage. We're fine. There's no reason to fight." Aria glared at Brittany.

Brittany Confessional: Did you see the way Gabe stepped in and protected me? Oh my gosh, maybe he does like me!

"Whatever," Friedrich chuckled, "as long as we're winning the game I don't mind." He lounged back on the sofa. They were sitting in the living room, a slight change of pace from their usual meeting place of Jason and Friedrich's room.

"Well I do mind." Aria stated. "We can't have this shit happening anymore Brittany, okay? Please?" she looked at Brittany with big eyes.

Aria Confessional: See the simple switch up? Good girl, bad girl. So easy.

"Okay." Brittany sighed. "I'm sorry I put us at risk guys."

"You look like that fuckin' mouse from Madagascar." Friedrich laughed, pointing at Aria whose eyes were still wide and pleading.

"Oh hu-"

"What's that little dude's name?" Friedrich laughed, looking at Jason.

"I think it's Julien?" he shrugged.

"Nah, that's the weird gay lemur." Friedrich stated. "Oh wait, it's Mort! That's it. You look like Mort."

"Thanks." Aria chuckled, her eyes seething with venom. "But," she started, twirling her auburn hair with one hand and teasing the bottom of her t-shirt with the other, "do you really think I look like that?" she looked up at Friedrich.

"I'd say you're much hotter." Friedrich bit his lip. Jason facepalmed.

Jason Confessional: Such a simp.

As Aria dragged Friedrich off to her bedroom to give the FBI more incriminating evidence, Jason glanced over to Brittany and Gabriel, who were deep in conversation.

"Yeah, I think my life is pretty boring." Brittany giggled, playing with her hair. "Tell me about yours!"

"Well, for starters, I like politics a lot." Gabriel stated.

"Uh huh." Brittany smiled.

"In fact, my dad's a politician." Gabriel explained. "Pretty high up too."

"Uh h- wait what." Brittany stopped, bolting up on the couch. "You never told me your dad was a politician."

Brittany Confessional: Please be one we bankroll, please be one we bankroll.

"Yep, he's a US senator." Gabriel stated proudly, lounging back. "I hope to be like him someday. He's honest, clean, everything the rest of the senators aren't."

"Okay." Brittany's tone became panicked. "So he's not corrupt?"

"Not at all." Gabriel proudly stated, closing his eyes. "My dad's as clean as they come." Jason looked over, sensing the conversation was taking a bad turn.

"Hey guys what-" Jason tried to step in and save the conversation, only to be cut off.

"So, do I know who your dad is?" Brittany asked anxiously.

"Probably." Gabriel shrugged. "His name is Dave Peterson."

"Dave Peterson?" Brittany asked, disbelief in her voice. "You mean like the super conservative republican from Illinois?"

"That's him!" Gabriel smiled. "God bless this country. Hey, by the way, you didn't say- Brittany?" he called her name. Brittany was out cold on the couch. "How'd she faint just sitting down?"

Brittany Confessional: He's a Republican. And his dad is on the top of my dad's list of enemies. His dad has been pushing for a crackdown on crime in our area. Oh god, this is so terrible.

Gabriel Confessional: I think that went well! I'm starting to genuinely believe she's into me. She's interested in me, my background, my family… this could be it!

Jason Confessional: Why couldn't the cute couple who shares a room be the one who gets together easily instead of Mr. and Mrs. Fucks-a-lot? Jesus, I come into our room sometimes and they're just in the hammock, almost naked, making out! Like seriously Friedrich, she's 15, get a grip on your dick.

…..

"That could've gone better." Eclipse sighed.

"Well obviously." Dana shrugged. "But it is what it is. We have to move on without Aurora."

"And Ash." Seven said quietly.

"Yeah." Dana shrugged, looking at Seven curiously. "Seven-"

"I couldn't do it." Seven looked at Dana. They were all lounging in Eclipse's room, sprawled out among beds. "I couldn't vote for Ash."

"So you…"

"It's okay." Eclipse stated knowingly, giving Dana a glare as if to say back off. "Emotions sometimes control us. Sometimes a play must have a dramatic twist before its heroes prevail."

"Twist is taking a damn long time to play out." Dana muttered.

"Does that mean we're inside a music-thingy?" Maddie asked, confused. "Wait, I thought this was House of the Dead. Is this Dear Evan Hansen?"

"No, Maddie, it's-" Dana started.

"Oh so it must be Spring Awakening! That's why Friedrich and Aria-"

"Maddie, hush." Dana urged her, giving her a quick peck on the lips to silence her. Maddie blushed and then went silent. The room remained silent for a few moments, nobody sure of what to say. "So what can we do now?"

"We could convince Brittany to side with us." Eclipse reasoned. "She'd be dense not to take the offer."

"I think…" Seven trailed off. "It was more of a moral choice she made last time. Not a strategic one." she finished with a sneeze.

"Can we just have another vote-thingy and send someone else away?" Maddie whined.

Maddie Confessional: I really hope they let me light the next person who's eliminated on fire and they go AAAHHHHHHH but then I go WHEEEEEEE and then everyone else goes AHHHHHH and then my parents go WEWEREWRONGABOUTYOUMADDIE.

"We could find another idol." Dana suggested.

"Oh sure, cause that's ever been a reliable method of staying in the game." Eclipse pointed out.

"I'm just trying to think of ideas." Dana said defensively. "No need to be harsh."

"WHEEEE." Maddie flipped open her lighter and ran out of the room, screaming. Dana scrambled up, running after her, only for the two to bump into Joy once they ran into the hall, knocking all three down. A bit of blood spilled to the ground. Dana had to hold back throwup.

"I feel dizzy." Dana stated, staring at the blood. Joy got up, dusting herself off. Dana looked up. "Sorry, are you okay? Did I cut you?"

"An idol?" Joy asked. Dana noticed the blood was dripping from a bite mark on Joy's finger, not from a scratch.

"Ooh yeah we want a safety-thingamabobit." Maddie said giddily. Dana tried again to keep from hurling amid the sight of blood. Eclipse and Seven came to the door, curious of the commotion outside.

"I saw one." Joy stated.

"An idol? Where?" Eclipse asked.

Eclipse Confessional: Perhaps Joy's erratic nature will actually work to our benefit here. It's entirely plausible knowing her that she saw an idol and didn't pick it up.

Joy turned her head, curious. "You saw an idol?"

"No, you did." Eclipse stated.

"I did?" she asked, turning around.

"You did just state you saw an idol." Seven stated, the gears in her mind whizzing.

"Oh I did. Curious." Joy mused. "Tree." Joy turned around again, this time walking back to the living. The gang of 4 stood, confused.

Joy Confessional: I hope they search. That'd be amusing.

"Do you think there's actually an idol somewhere?" Dana asked the group.

"We could burn all the trees down and find out." Maddie suggested, her eyes shining.

"It's possible." Eclipse stated. "Joy is that weird that she'd just tell us."

"Well we can't prove her wrong." Seven murmured. "But red herrings are sometimes more telling than the solution itself." she stared off at Joy walking away.

"Well there's no harm in searching." Dana shrugged. "Let's go." she walked towards the front door, the rest of her alliance in tow.

Seven Confessional: I have a bad feeling about this. I don't see why we're just trusting Joy. This feels like a trap.

It had been multiple hours. Eclipse, Dana, Seven, and Maddie had been looking at trees for hours and had found:

"Nothing." Dana spat, trudging past a bush. "We've been here for so long. Nothing."

"Well that's part of the challenge!" Eclipse reasoned.

"She definitely lied." Dana stated.

"Possibly." Eclipse stated. "But who knows. With her, we may just have not found it yet. There's no harm-"

"I'm super tired." Dana mentioned. "If we have a challenge, there's harm."

"CAMPERS!" Aaron's voice crackled to life on a loudspeaker nearby. "Meet me at the dock, ten minutes!"
"See?" Dana spat angrily. "It's a whole waste of time. This whole game is a waste of my time, god damn." Maddie gave her a sad look.

"Dana, do uwu believe that?" Maddie asked her, probably the first semi-coherent thing she'd said.

"Of course not Maddie." Dana sighed. "Come on, let's go win a challenge."

Joy Confessional: Funny. They looked.

…..

"Welcome campers!" Aaron greeted as the camera cut from black. All the campers were standing in their swimsuits, lining the dock. Behind Aaron, a large rectangular platform a bit smaller than a basketball court floated in the water, a small lacrosse goal at each end. "Today, we're gonna be playing a wicked game of- I don't even know what to call this sport actually. It's like lacrosse mixed with football mixed with field hockey."

"You'll be split into two teams of five." Aaron explained. "Everyone on the winning team is safe from elimination, but can still vote." The contestants' jaws all dropped.

Eclipse Confessional: Everyone? Why, this is huge! We could regain control of the game with a win here.

Aria Confessional: Fuck me. Sorry, I don't mean Friedrich. If we lose, this is the shittiest possible thing that could've happened.

"Sorry, Aaron," Eclipse interrupted, "hate to interrupt-"

"No you don't." Friedrich grinned. Eclipse shot him a glare.

"Anyway, are these random teams, or do we pick?" Eclipse asked, seeming to ask the question on everyone's mind.

"Do whatever you want." Aaron shrugged. "Anyway, some rules. First off, there's gonna be a ball. Your goal is to get the ball into the other team's goal by any means possible. Just no physical touching of the other team. That's what these are for." Aaron grinned, motioning for an intern off-screen to throw him something. It looked like one of those foam battle sticks people would hit each other off podiums with, except it was sparking with electricity at the top. "You guys can hit each other as much as you want with this stuff."

"Uh dude, you realize that if one of us touches the water with that it could kill us." Jason pointed out, staring at the electric end.

"Uh huh." Aaron stated, his eyes sparkling. "You'll be fine."

"No, bro." Jason stopped him, a stern look on his face. "Like, that could actually kill us if it touches the water. Did you ever take physics? Heard of capacitance?"

"Don't patronize me." Aaron puffed. "I've heard of car accidents." he stole a quick look over to Ashley and mouthed the words "is he right". Aaron's face turned white. "We'll be right back." The camera cut to black.

The camera cut back to Aaron standing with a new staff, this one with the electric part removed. "No electricity! Just standard bats to hit each other with. Hit each other around as much as you want with this stuff. Any questions?"

"What happens if the ball goes into the water?" Dana asked.

"You dive in and get it." Aaron stated. "Oh also, I forgot. First team to three points wins. Also, you can't pick the ball up unless you're in the water. You have to hit it with the sticks on land." Everyone groaned.

Brittany Confessional: This game sounds so freaking hard! But it's okay. I know Gabriel will carry our team through the game to victory!

Gabriel Confessional: I am so freaking unathletic. I tried playing T-ball once in Kindergarten and I was so bad I swung backwards and the ball hit the umpire in the face. Let's just say I consider myself an intellectual.

"Question, Aaron." Friedrich raised his hand.

"Yes."

"Can we intentionally draw out the game so I get to stare at babes in bikinis longer?" he snickered. Dana threw an elbow at his gut, narrowly missing.

"I mean if you want to give the FBI more reason to arrest you, go for it." Aaron stated.

"Water." Joy stated, staring at the ground. Maddie hissed at the mention of water.

Maddie Confessional: The wet-thingy is EVIL. It puts out flames, duh. But, no matter what, nothing can ever put out the undying flame in my heart for Cory-San in the House!

"Yes Joy, water. Now, let's get on- oh you've already picked teams?" he asked. The campers had naturally been standing in groups of 5, with Joy getting pulled into Eclipse's group.

Seven Confessional: Something seems terribly off with Joy in general, but I suppose we must work with her for this challenge at the least.

"Listen, guys." Dana said to her team as they pulled themselves up onto the platform, grabbing their battlesticks which rested on one side of the playing field. "I know we may not be the most athletic team but we can do this."

Joy Confessional: I'm getting the most votes if my team loses. But *Joy bites her finger* ifs ophay capf I don't phink will loseth.

"I volunteer to play goalie." Eclipse stated. "That way it'll kind of be like tennis, right? I hate any other sports besides tennis."

"That sounds logical to me." Seven stated meekly, picking up her battlestick. "I really hope we don't have to hurt anyone with these."

"Hey Maddie, stick your stick in the water." Aaron ordered from the dock. Maddie had lit the end of her stick on fire using a lighter from god-knows-where.

"But how is it gonna hurt people if it's not on fire?" she protested, whining.

"That girl's heart is so beautiful." Aaron observed, a tear rolling down his cheek as Ashley came up beside him to watch.

"Joy, can you play de- wait a pink bikini?" Dana asked, noticing Joy's swimwear. Joy chuckled.

"Surprising?" she asked, humored by Dana's shock. "Defense is fine." she wandered back to join Eclipse close to the goal.

"I just don't get her." Dana stated.

"You didn't get yourself for quite a while in this game." Seven noted. Dana laughed.

"Oh stop forcing me to be introspective." Dana smiled. "Anyway, how do you feel playing defense?"

"That's probably where I'm best served." Seven agreed. "I feel like defending is my purpose."

"Sure thing." Dana stated as Seven went back to join Joy. "Maddie that means you and I are on offense."

"Really? WHEEEE!" Maddie yelled, charging at the other team who was still talking with her stick at the ready. Dana had to leap forward and pull her back.

"No Maddie, not yet! Shit!" Dana scolded her.

"Oh." Maddie frowned. "When do I get to hit people then?"

"Soon." Dana stated. "And where's all this eagerness to hit people coming from?"

"It's fun." Maddie said, twirling her stick around. "Especially with this stick-thingy."
"Fun?" Dana asked, looking angrier with each passing second. "It's fun to abuse other peoples' bodies?"

"Yeah!" Maddie exclaimed. Dana slapped Maddie. "Wha-"

"I thought you knew me better." A tear was rushing down Dana's cheek. "Let's just play this stupid game." Maddie looked at Dana, confused.

Maddie Confessional: Why's she sad now? What did I do? Oh no what did I do what did I do this is no good, no good.

Dana Confessional: Maybe I get mad or upset too quickly. But abuse? That's not something I take lightly. I know that we have to hit other people for the sake of this challenge. I may not like it but I know it. It's the fact that Maddie said she enjoys it. That just pissed me off.

"Damn well it looks like we've already won this challenge." Friedrich observed, looking at the other team's mess.

"Alright, here's how it's gonna go-" Gabriel started.

"Excuse me, are you trying to take control?" Aria asked. "I'm team leader here."

"We didn't appoint a team leader." Jason noted.

"Yeah I think I missed that meeting." Friedrich mentioned.

"Shut up!" Aria ordered. "Fine Gabriel, pick our positions. Big responsibility. Could determine if we win or lose."

"Hey now I don't know. I'm not the most athletic…" Gabriel trailed off, looking around.

"I'm sure you're great at sports Gabriel." Brittany assured him.

Brittany Confessional: Not too great at having a family situation my family would be okay with.

"You know what Brittany, you're right." Gabriel smiled. "I can do this, even though I was saying 5 seconds ago that I couldn't. Aria, you play goalie."

"Me, why-"

"Cause you're thick." Friedrich snickered. "They won't be able to get that ball around that ass."

"I don't know if I should slap you or tease you." Aria scoffed, taking her battlestick and moving towards the goal.

"I'll play defense with Brittany." Gabriel suggested, staring at Brittany in her violet bikini.

"Bad idea dude." Friedrich suggested. "I'll stay back with her on defense. You and Jason go on offense."

"What, why? So you can be a pervert?" Gabriel scoffed.

"I'm sure Friedrich just wants you on offense cause you're the best we've got!" Brittany suggested to Gabriel.

"But he's probably just gonna-"

"Stare at my ass? Why would you be worried about that?" Brittany asked, pursing her lips. "Unless there's something you wanna tell me?" she crossed her arms, leaning on her battlestick for support. Gabriel gulped. Taking a deep breath, he looked Brittany in the eyes. Brittany's eyes grew wide

"Brittany, I real-"

"Dude chill out, I literally just suggested that so we'd have some balance on the team." Friedrich interrupted him. "That's how we win the game. Balance. And you said you suck at sports, so I'm evening our team out. Fair?" Gabriel groaned at getting cut off.

"Tell me later." Brittany winked at Gabriel, picking up her battlestick and getting into position as Gabriel walked up towards midfield with Jason.

"Cockblocked again?" Jason asked.

"What- what do you-" Gabriel started.

"Just say it to her. Come on." Jason suggested.

"What if she-"

"HOW OBVIOUS DOES IT HAVE TO BE?" Eclipse yelled from the other side of the field. Gabriel blushed.

Eclipse Confessional: I think I've maybe said one thing all season to Brittany or Gabriel combined, and even I know that they've got it bad for each other.

"Finally!" Aaron said from the nearby dock as everyone took their place. "Let's get this show on the road! Ashley, drop the ball." Ashley tossed a small ball, a little smaller than a soccer ball, onto the field. "Ready, set, go!" Aaron yelled, starting the challenge. Dana, Maddie, Jason, and Gabriel took off running towards the center, swinging their sticks aggressively. Maddie managed to hit the ball a bit downfield, causing Jason to run back after it, and then hook her stick up, knocking the bottom of Gabriel's chin. Stunned, Gabriel stepped back as another hit came in from Dana, knocking him clean to the ground. Friedrich shook his head.

"Dude, fight back! You're getting beat by a bunch of girls!" he yelled as Jason took control of the ball. Maddie turned to Dana and smiled.

"WHEEE!" she yelled, giving Gabriel another hit for good measure. Dana ignored her, choosing to chase after Jason instead. Maddie frowned.

Stumbling up, Gabriel swung at Dana as she was about to go for Jason, doming her in the side of the head, sending her crashing to the ground. Maddie tore after him, enraged at seeing him hit her girlfriend. She swung and swung, knocking Gabriel down and hitting him over and over, oblivious to the world around her until Dana had to pull her off.

"Maddie, you can't do that shit!" she yelled angrily.

"But, he hit you." Maddie protested. "I wanted to protect you."

"It's a game Maddie." Dana sighed. Meanwhile, Friedrich had run downfield to help Jason out. Seven had tried to stop Jason who was hitting the ball along, only to get sideswiped by one of his hits, knocking her to the ground with a sneeze.

Seven Confessional *Sneeze* I don't *sneeze* like this game. It think *sneeze* I'm allergic to the foam.

Meanwhile, Joy was quickly subdued by Friedrich who was giving him a surprisingly good fight despite seeming completely uninterested at the task at hand, opening up Jason for a shot on goal against Eclipse.

"Please go easy on me." Eclipse begged him, nervously looking around to see if someone would come save him. Seven was trotting up behind, though still a few meters back.

"Sorry dude." Jason apologized, swinging his battlestick, striking the ball towards the Eclipse. Eclipse swung hard, closing his eyes. He felt the ball make contact with his stick.

"1-0, Team Aria!" Aaron announced. The ball had tipped off of his stick and zoomed past into the goal.

"Go team!" Brittany yelled cheerily.

"Yeah! Sports!" Aria cheered unenthusiastically.

"You guys are welcome." Friedrich flashed a grin.

"Thanks guys!" Brittany said, her smile beaming. "We're gonna win this."

Aria Confessional: We? You didn't do shit. I didn't either, but at least I know my place.

"God damn it." Dana cursed, throwing her stick to the ground.

"In my defense, I tried, I think." Eclipse stated. Joy shrugged as if to say she did as well.

"I don't *sneeze* think this game is *sneeze* productive." Seven stated.

"I'm sorry." Maddie apologized, looking at Dana. "It's my fault. I won't do anything now."

"No, Maddie." Dana sighed. "You're doing fine. Go crazy if you want to. We'll talk about it later." Maddie nodded.

"Alright, next point." Aaron tossed the ball onto the court again. "Ready, go!" The four offenders (not Friedrich, the people on offense) dashed towards the ball, sticks at the ready. Dana and Jason slammed their sticks together, locked in combat. Maddie and Gabriel both swung at the ball. Gabriel missed by a mile. Meanwhile, Maddie's hit connected and sent the ball scorching down the field, landing in front of Brittany's feet. Unsure of what to do, she looked at it while Maddie charged ahead, dodging a swing from Gabriel.

"What do I do?" she looked at Friedrich unsure. Friedrich dove in front of her, knocking Maddie away as Dana charged past Jason.

"Hit the freaking ball!" he called, wincing as Maddie got back up and delivered a hit to his chest. Brittany swung, however the ball flew off the court, straight into the water. Running after it, Dana and Gabriel both dropped their sticks and dove into the water, swimming after the ball. Gasping, Dana reached the ball first.

"Damn, you think I'd be good at swimming with how tall I am." Gabriel cursed, halfheartedly trying to swipe the ball from Dana.

"Tough like." she responded, her eyes narrowing. "Now get out of the way."

"I don't think that's what I'm supposed to do." Gabriel said, reaching an arm up so he could block the ball if Dana threw it.

"I said, get away." Dana growled.

"No, I won't be intimidated." Gabriel stated, defiantly. However, after a few seconds his eyes grew wide, and he started streaking for the court.

"That's what I thought." Dana chuckled, swimming leisurely with the ball back.

"Dana, watch out behind you." Seven called, looking over to Gabriel as he made his way back to the court.

"Huh?" Dana said, turning around.

There was a fin.

A shark fin. Swimming directly at her.

Dana Confessional: Fuck.

"Okay, stay calm." she told herself, watching the fin draw closer. When it was about five meters away, she panicked and threw the ball, swimming for her life. Gabriel picked up the ball and got back on the court, hitting it downfield towards the goal as everyone else crowded at the edge, watching Dana try and escape from the shark, which was rapidly advancing. Looking back, Dana saw how close it was and instinctively kicked out, feeling her foot connect with bone. Feeling she'd stunned it for a few seconds, she dashed for the platform, her fellow contestants pulling her up. She was gasping for breath.

"Oh my fucking god." she gasped, trying to speak between breaths.

"Just breath. It's okay." Seven urged her, sitting down with her.

"Dana, are you okay?" Brittany asked, concerned as she sat down.

"What do you think?" Dana growled.

Chef Confessional: *Chef is dressed in a shark costume, complete with a fake fin. He's nursing one of his cheekbones.* That was completely humiliating, getting kicked like that.

"Well, the shark didn't eat you." Jason reasoned, drawing closer to the group. "That's good."

"Obviously. We'd prefer she's still alive." Eclipse stated. Curious, Joy looked over to the shore and saw Chef, who was now stalking away in his shark costume. Peering out over the ocean, she saw what she thought was a fin in the distance. Biting her finger, Joy caused it to bleed, dropping drops of blood all over. Making sure no one was watching, she stuck her finger out over the open water, the blood droplets disappearing into the ocean.

"Dude, how long does it take you to score a goal?" Aaron groaned, watching Gabriel fail over and over again to hit the ball into Eclipse's open net. Each time it bounced off the goalposts.

"Shut up, I don't play sports." Gabriel said, taking another hit at the ball.

"You have the audacity to take advantage of us after she got attacked by a shark?" Eclipse roared, picking up his stick and charging at Gabriel, as everyone (except Dana) got back into the game. Panicked, Gabriel took one more shot as Eclipse limply hit him with his battlestick. The ball connected with Gabriel's stick, rolling into the goal.

"And it is now 2-0, as Gabriel finally scores!" Aaron announced to moans and cheers alike.

"That shouldn't count!" Eclipse protested. "We were tending to our traumatized teammate."

"I didn't hear any whistle." Friedrich shrugged. "That's just how the game goes."

"I did it!" Gabriel announced, holding his hand up to Brittany for a high five. He got a weird look in response.

"Gabriel, Dana was attacked by a shark." Brittany stated. "You took advantage of that."

Gabriel frowned. "So? She's safe! We gotta take care of ourselves first. If we don't win this challenge we could get sent home."

"But money isn't any reason to throw away human kindness!" Brittany stated, her voice faltering.

"Brittany I just want you to understand." Gabriel took her hand. "I'm doing this for us because I… I really like you. Like, a lot."

"I understand Gabe." Brittany sighed, blushing. "Which is why we can't be together." All the campers collectively gasped.

"You- you what?" Gabriel asked.

"Gabe, it'd never work." Brittany tearfully stated. "At first I thought it was because my dad is a mob boss and all, but then you mentioned your dad and my dad HATES your dad. And then, this whole thing." Brittany sighed. "I can't Gabriel. I just can't be in love with you, I'm sorry."

"I really didn't see this one coming." Jason breathed.

"Yeah I always swore they'd end up together." Aria stated.

"Your dad is a mob boss?" Gabriel asked. "Like, organized crime?"

"Did I let that slip?" Brittany asked, blushing.

"Well I can't believe I let myself fall for something so unattractive and corrupt!" Gabriel shouted. "I should call my dad and have you taken away right now for being an accessory to your dad's crimes."

Brittany Confessional: No one insults my family.

"I'm sorry Gabriel." Brittany sighed.

"Excuse me, hold on." Eclipse stepped in. "She may not stand up for herself, but I will. Your dad is one of the most floundering, corrupt excuses for a politician I've ever heard of!"

"I will not have this slander on his name." Gabriel puffed.

"Um, dude." Aaron called from the dock. "You might wanna cool it."

"I will certainly not cool it!" Gabriel yelled. Now the fins Joy had seen earlier were drawing closer to the side of the platform. "My dad is the bravest man I know, and-"

"How about his insider trading scandal in 2014?" Eclipse asked, pressing the issue more.

"Big misconception, I-"

"How about his corruption charges in late 2016 that he mysteriously got out of after all the articles about it disappeared from the news?" Eclipse asked.

"Well I- I- I…" Gabriel stuttered.

"Guys we should just get back to the game at hand." Aria suggested nervously.

Aria Confessional: I'm not letting my alliance go topsy-turvy over this when we were just about to win the challenge!

"Well you know what Gabriel." Brittany approached him. Joy watched the water carefully, as the fins she'd seen in the distance were now at the side of the platform. "It sounds like your dad is more corrupt than mine ever could be."

Gabriel sighed. "This is all just terrible. Brittany, I really like you. Please-"

"Dude." Dana cut in, pushing her way in front of Brittany. "She already said no, what-"

"I got this Dana." Brittany interjected, stepping in front of her. "Sorry Gabriel. The only thing you have going for you is that you're cute. Bye." she said to Gabriel, stepping away.

"No one insults my honor." Gabriel said, taken aback. He took a step forward on the deck and then slipped, turning around and over, falling over the side of the platform and amongst the fins.

Joy Confessional: Looks like it's time for the show to begin.

"HELP ME! HELP!" Gabriel screamed, flailing around as the fins beside him circled around. "I can feel their slimy bodies brushing against me."

"Kinda fitting, don't you think?" Eclipse chuckled.

"Oh my gosh, Gabriel, guys someone help!" Brittany squealed, looking around.

"Oh my, oh my oh…" Gabriel trailed off, slumping over as he fainted from the fear, drifting into the water.

"Aaron why are you just standing there laughing? Help us bro!" Jason protested, glancing over to Aaron who was laughing. Joy stepped in, chuckling a bit as well.

"Those aren't sharks." Joy laughed.

Joy Confessional: I was hoping they were sharks. They're not.

"Wait, what does that mean?" Seven asked, peeking at Gabriel's body, now floating above the surface. One of the fins surfaced, Gabriel floating on the animal's back.

"Ooh, zebras!" Maddie exclaimed giddily.

"No Maddie, they're dolphins." Dana stated. The dolphins surfaced, chirping at the contestants. One brought Gabriel up on its back, allowing Friedrich and Jason to pull him onboard. Dana gave the dolphin a pet on the nose as the pack turned away, swimming off to another location.

"So, what do we do?" Seven asked, looking around.

"Hey guys." Eclipse called to the other team, staring at Gabriel who was out cold. "How about we pull some corruption on this guy and have you guys lose so we can vote him out?"

Brittany sighed. "I guess."

"I'm down." Jason stated, nodding at Friedrich.

"I guess you have to lose some games." Friedrich shrugged, glancing at Aria.

"Of course!" Aria smiled, though her lips were faltering.

Aria Confessional: That bitch made me lose 2 allies in a row. She's gone ASAP.

"That settles it then!" Aaron announced. "Might as well go straight to the elimination ceremony then. Meet me there in 10 minutes! And Ashley, go wake Gabriel up."

"Hey Dana." Maddie stopped Dana as they were about to swim back to the dock. "I'm sorry."

"Oh Maddie." Dana sighed, shaking her head. She stared at her for a few seconds, and then took her hand and tilting Maddie's chin back, placing her lips on Maddie's. After a few seconds, she pulled her head back, smiling. "I forgive you."

"No girl really has liked me before." Maddie pouted, though blushing from Dana's kiss. "Is it because some people think I burned down the White House?"

"Maddie that happened in 1814." Dana laughed.

"Oh, it did?"

"Yeah." Dana chuckled. "Now come on, let's go."

"What happened?" Gabriel moaned, coming to as Ashley tended to him. Eclipse and Seven still stood around him. "Did I win?"

"You lost, loser." Eclipse stated.

"Eclipse, be gentle." Seven suggested. "He doesn't have long left."
"I guess you're right." Eclipse murmured.

"Wait I'm dying?" Gabriel bolted up, panicked.

"Nah, we're just voting you out." Eclipse smiled.

"Eclipse…" Seven protested. "Mystery can be important."

"Just this one vote." Aria said to Friedrich and Jason, whom she was swimming to the dock with. "She's a wild card. Who knows what'll happen if we let her stay?"

"That's true." Friedrich mused. "Gabriel is a much more solid vote."

"It'll be fine." Jason said. "Just vote him out. It's still gonna be 4 on 4 either way, and we can get Joy on our side. I'd say Gabriel is unpredictable with what happened today."

"I want Brittany gone." Aria stated.

"Give it time." Jason urged her.

"Look, Joy." The camera panned to Dana talking to Joy now on the dock. "Join us. You need an alliance."

"It's all pointless anyway." Joy murmured, staring out at the sea. Dana looked at her strangely.

"What's pointless?"

"It." Joy responded without a hint of emotion.

"What's it?" Dana asked.

"Pointless." Joy stated again.

Dana Confessional: How did she get so far in this game?

…..

"Yada yada, you know the drill." Aaron announced, starting the elimination ceremony even though it was only midday. "Anyone who was on Eclipse's team for the challenge is automatically safe, but can still vote."

"What happened when I was out cold?" Gabriel asked, looking around. No one answered him.

"He's going to be mad when he watches this episode." Seven stated, looking at Gabriel with a hint of sadness.

"For the rest of you…" Aaron started. "Safe are…"

"Aria."

"Friedrich."

"Jason." Aaron announced, tossing them their coins of immunity. "As for Brittany and Gabriel… honestly, pretty expected that it'd be you two."

"I don't understand." Gabriel looked at Brittany, saddened. "My dad isn't corrupt, Neither am I!"

"Save it for your Congressional meetings." Eclipse interjected. Brittany looked at him.

"No need Eclipse." she said, turning to look at Gabriel. "I'm sorry it ended this way for us."

"Can we cut the romance for later?" Aaron asked. "Anyway… by a vote of 8-2…"

"Must've been Joy voting unpredictably." Eclipse murmured. Aria looked at the ground.

"Gabriel is eliminated from Total Drama Nawala Island." Aaron announced.

"I can see when I'm not wanted." Gabriel puffed, standing up.

"Can you though?" Dana interjected.

"Anyway, Gabriel, your dad sent his private boat to pick you up." Aaron stated, gesturing to the dock where a fancy speedboat sat. "Enjoy your ride."

"Bye everyone." Gabriel glanced at Brittany. "Tragic."

"Tragic." Brittany glared back as Gabriel walked away.

"Okay they definitely bought that with scandal money." Friedrich watched the expensive speedboat race away.

"Well that was an episode." Aaron puffed. "Things happened. That's for sure. Am I running out of content? Probably. Will the next episode be funny without political jokes? I'll still probably make them at Gabriel's expense. Who will be eliminated next? Find out next time on Total Drama Nawala Island!"

Notes:

Wow. Quick update. It hasn't been 6 months and I'm pushing out an update. That's new. As for this episode, tell me your thoughts, I wanna know! How's the season shaping up? Who's your favorite/least favorite? Who do you think will win the season? Just let me know your thoughts in the review section, I wanna hear em!

As for Gabriel, his relationship with Brittany was obviously his main plot point. I didn't see a relationship between them really working out due to Brittany's mob background and Gabe's political background, so I think it was better they didn't end up together. He was fun to write though, especially with all the joke potential he brought. Thanks to Omakin for sending him in!
