"I… don't… know… who… you're talking… about."
On a dark and windy night, on top of one of the many buildings dotted across the skyline, a metal hand was wrapped around a hero's throat. "I'm losing my patience. I think my actions speak for how much this woman means to me."
"I… need… more detail."
The grip loosened for just a moment, "That's all you have to go on little hero."
"Please…"
A loud crunch rang out in the night, announcing the man's death.
The sound didn't go unanswered. A gauntlet wrapped around the villain's throat, while a second one yanked him by his right wrist and digging their foot into his back. The robotic arm twisted in a disgusting direction, but the man made no noise. Instead the arm rotated around its joint and punched backwards. It never made contact, the hero behind him sensed the attack coming and moved out of the way.
"Hmm… you wouldn't happen to be related to that one villain from those fires about a week ago would you?" Vincent cracked his knuckles, relishing in the feel of his new costume, glad that he had finally accepted Endo's gift.
The man turned around, his eyes a horizontal red visor that pulsed with demonic light. He was technically naked. His body was purely mechanical, the shape was too fitting to have a human inside of it. "I guess I can try and torture the answer out of you next."
"Vincent!" Aizawa leapt onto the roof next to the student, "I told you to stop running off!"
The villain froze, "Eraser."
Vincent stepped forwards, drawing his attention once more, "Who are you looking for?"
The man was silent for a moment, "She's… I need her… my… partner. Eight legs…"
Vincent looked at Aizawa as if asking for permission. The teacher shook his head and took his place in front of his student, deciding that this guy was too dangerous.
The man clutched his head in confusion muttering to himself before he found a bandage of sorts wrapped around his wrist and looked up to see Aizawa running at him.
"No good." The villain raised his left arm, a cylindrical cannon of sorts attached to it.
"ERASER!" Vincent tackled the teacher to the side, just narrowly avoiding a giant beam of purple energy.
The two quickly got to their feet and looked at where the man had once stood, the spot now smoking from heat.
"Who… who the hell was that?"

Karkinos laughed as he danced around the frantic burglar. The alley was incredibly small, so it gave the enhanced monster crazy maneuverability.
"My host says you are in need of some fright." Karkinos landed right in front of the criminal, his trident-tipped tail poised right at his neck, "I would be rude to not oblige."
A dark spot formed on the man's tan pants and he dropped his gun, "I-I'm sorry."
Karkinos snarled and pulled his tail away, "We have to cuff him? We can't kill him?" He shook his head, "You humans. I'll never understand your way of doing things."
"It's the right way," A new voice said as they entered the alleyway, taking the liberty of cuffing the shaking man. "But the fact that you have begun to listen to your host shows real growth."
Karkinos bowed, one hand over its chest and released control back to Shizuku, who stumbled forwards, her silvery armor wrapping around her to hide her naked form. She scoffed at her work study hero, "It feels more like I went backwards, now he can assume control anytime he wants."
Liquid Form, one of the more famous shapeshifting heroes nodded, "But now he's listening to you and looking out for your best interests. Having someone that you can rely on to protect you isn't a bad thing."
She sighed, but nodded all the same.
Over the past few days, Class C had been assuming their internship positions. Vincent, as per his agreement with Aizawa, was interning with him, Sen was meeting with her aunt, Okami was working with Wild Wolf, Shizuku got Liquid Form thanks to Endo, etc. But the craziest one of all was Daidoji. She got an internship with the number six hero, Miruko. Half the guys in the class were practically crying in disappointment.
"Although, you should be more careful about how you scare your enemies. People are gonna start thinking you're a villain."
Shizuku smiled, "If I could make him do it in a less evil way, he would already be doing it."
The hero, who was technically neither gender but preferred male to make it easier, just chuckled and pushed the man ahead of him.
"I wonder how everyone else is doing?"

Okami silently crawled through the hallways of a pristine white bank. Up ahead he could hear the angry shouts of criminals demanding money and the frightened cries of hostages.
His work study hero, Wild Wolf insisted that Okami could handle the incident alone, and used his Quirk to open a hole in one of the walls. The student didn't really have time to argue one way or the other.
As the hero in training continued to sneak along the pathways, he heard a set of footsteps approaching him, "All clear on the south side."
Just as the man finished his report and let up on his walkie talkie button, he felt a hand wrap around his face and throw him to the ground.
The sound his head made when hitting the floor was a sickening thud, but it didn't seem to be fatal.
Okami grimaced and grabbed the man's walkie talkie, getting a good idea of where the robbers were. Realizing that he only had a certain amount of time before they checked in with the south side again, Okami took a faster approach, sprinting straight for the railing just above the main lobby.
He hit the stairs running and reached the top within seconds, a gun muzzle now shoved in his face. But the wolf hero didn't stop. He shoved the gun to the side, just barely avoiding a bullet to the face and grabbed the man by his leg.
By this time, the three people in the main lobby, as well as the hostages, had heard the commotion and looked up to see a body flying towards them.
The one closest to the front door was the first down as the unconscious man dogpiled on him.
Forgetting that they had hostages, the other two aimed their guns at the second floor, expecting someone to jump down any second. Unfortunately for them, Okami had already slipped down to the first floor using the thrown man as cover.
Okami dead-legged one from behind and used his large paws to smack the man across the face. He then tore the rifle from the fallen man's hand and flung it at the last remaining criminal. But the woman jumped away just in time, ducking into a roll to get cover behind one of the teller counters. At the same time, the man who had been hit with the limp body and the man who had his gun taken from him stood. The two pulled pistols from their side holsters. Now all three aimed their guns at the young hero, their fingers over the trigger.
"Shit."
All at once, Okami expected a rain of bullets, but instead, three concussive blasts of energy took down the two men and the woman. Wild Wolf walked out from a hallway, dragging another man behind him.
Realizing that they were safe, the hostages rushed out of the building, tears of relief and shouts of happiness could be heard. Eventually, it was just the two heroes inside the building.
Wild Wolf sighed and dropped the man he was dragging along. "That could've been really bad, kid."
"I-I know… I'm sorry."
"You've got enough strength to take on an army, but you just lightly bat aside these goons." He gave Okami an extremely serious look, "There's a misconception in the hero community that it is entirely unacceptable to kill. But… there will be times where you can't afford to hope for a simple knockout."
Before the hero could continue his lecture, the police rushed inside, taking the criminals into custody and handing the heroes their paperwork.

Okami, Shizuku, Daidoji, and Sen all were dragging their feet as they desperately approached the dorms. All had been exhausted by the day's heroics.
Okami glanced at Shizuku, her features seeming to shine with happiness despite her exhaustion. Daidoji and Sen walked a few meters ahead of them, bantering back and forth with tired voices.
"Shizuku?"
"Hmm?" The girl shook her head, obviously lost in her own thoughts, "Oh… yeah?"
"How… how do you deal with your lack of control?"
"What do you mean?"
Okami took a deep breath, "Back when we all still thought Hyperion was Endo's Quirk, he told me that both of you guys were basically locked in your own bodies, watching someone else steer. For you that's still true. How do you… not panic? How do you stay in control without being in control?"
Shizuku narrowed her eyes, thinking of how best to answer the question. "Well, I guess with the current Karkinos, I feel like I have more of a voice when he's fighting. We're still working on it… yes I know it's not your fault… I panicked alright! We were like seventy meters up!" Seeing the odd look Okami was giving her she chuckled awkwardly, "Sorry." She got serious again, "When I was still dealing with the old Karkinos, all I could do was to try and direct my emotions, but even then I had very little chance of making it work. So for everyday training and things like that, I made a rule set. If I got mad at someone, I wasn't allowed to transform until I had calmed down, or if I got mad during a transformation I had to stop. Same goes for when I was fighting, if I got too forceful, I'd just have to stop."
"If… if you still had that Karkinos while fighting villains how would you deal with it?"
Shizuku let out a slow breath, "I'd… probably let him go all out, even if it ended up killing the guy. I've heard it's a lot of paperwork to deal with, but if I kill someone that would've killed hundreds, then it's worth it. It's the same mentality I had when we went to rescue Endo."
"You would've done it again, let yourself go berserk and kill dozens to save one person?"
She looked him straight in the eyes, her red flickering irises mesmerizing him, "If it meant saving any one of you guys, I'd do it a hundred times over."
Okami just gave a singular nod and thought about the words he had just received. In fact, he was so deep in thought that he barely noticed when they opened the doors and had a cheering squad waiting for them.
Apparently, these four had gotten lucky and ended up on the news. Okami for his bank rescue, Shizuku for catching a missle of sorts that a villain launched into a crowded area, Sen for stopping a few villains with her aunt, and Daidoji got on the news for an entirely different reason. She was Miruko's first intern.
Will was secluded in his room, and Kaito was in the courtyard practicing with his daggers. Ever since getting defeated by the steel man, he had been training his stamina religiously. He did offer a friendly wave to the four, however.
Other than those two, the room was filled with the rest of the class, congratulating their friends. Shizuku politely thanked them all before collapsing onto the couch and immediately falling asleep. Everyone had a good laugh at her expense before agreeing to let the four get some sleep.
Nikiya offered to take Shizuku to her room with her shadow powers and everyone else dragged themselves off to bed, leaving Okami and Kaito the only ones alone downstairs.
Realizing that he wouldn't be able to sleep with so much on his mind, he walked out into the courtyard, joining Kaito.
"Hey."
Kaito offered no more than a grunt in return. He was way too focused. For a while, they stayed like that, Okami sitting down and watching the black daggers streak across the grass and stab into a chunk of wood.
Eventually, Kaito collapsed onto his rear, breathing heavily, sweat dripping from his face in waves. Okami threw him a towel and he wiped his face off before chugging down some water. "Thanks." When Okami offered no response, Kaito continued, "Congrats on making the news again."
Okami chuckled with a straight face, "Yeah."
"I'm sure your family is proud."
"...Yeah."
Kaito stared at Okami's face for a few seconds, his eyes aimed at the ground. "You don't know your family… do you?"
"I'm that easy to read?"
"Takes one to know one."
Okami nodded, too embarrassed to admit he had forgotten about Kaito's own family situation. "Sometimes I just want to know if they did it because they had to… or if they did it because I wasn't good enough."
"No you don't. You don't want to know." Kaito looked up to the stars, his blond hair lightly moving in the wind. "It's much better to appreciate the family you have, rather than desire the family that abandoned you."
"You get that from a fortune cookie?"
Kaito smirked and stood, brushing off his shorts, "Maybe… but even if I did, it doesn't make it wrong." He walked inside, clapping a hand on his friend's shoulder as he went, not another word spoken between them.
Okami stayed frozen for some time before cupping his face in his hands and groaning. After a few seconds, he clapped his hands together and stood, "Alright alright, enough self-pity for one night Okami. You're the class president after all, gotta stay focused."

The robotic villain stood on a rooftop scrolling through a phone he stole from one of the heroes he killed. "Find her… gotta find her." He kept scrolling, the screen passing by at an imperceptible rate. Suddenly, he stopped, slamming his finger down on the display and swiping back up.
His red visor pulsed rapidly as he stood. It wasn't exactly the woman he was looking for, but something about her told him that she was his clue to find whoever it was he was looking for. A pair of thrusters popped out of his back, a dark red glow coming from them as he shot off into the night, determined to do whatever it took to find the woman he kept dreaming about.
Back on the roof, the phone was left face up, its screen cracked, but still on. The headline that the villain had been looking at was up. The big bold letters read, 'Sparkrachne! Miruko's first sidekick!'
