Linda yawned and cuddled closer to Danny. She reached across him to turn off the alarm before it started to beep. She planted tiny kisses on her husband's face, neck, shoulder, and chest until he woke up. Which was some time, as Danny was a heavy sleeper. Linda, on the other hand, would wake up nearly every time Danny got out of bed for one reason or another. She didn't care, though; she loved kissing her man anytime- even if he was asleep.

Danny started to stir, and a smile automatically graced his face when he felt Linda kissing him. "Ah, the best way to wake up," he said, his eyes still closed.

Linda smiled and kissed his lips. Tracing little circles on his chest, she said, "I need to take a shower. Care to join me?"

His grin got bigger, if that was even possible. "Of course."

She smiled and patted his chest. "I'll see ya there?"

"You bet," he kissed Linda's forehead before she swung herself out of bed. Danny watched as she gathered the things she needed- underwear, clothes, etc.

She walked to the en-suite and turned the warm water on. Before she stepped in the shower, she ran a brush through her slightly mangled hair. Her hair hung a little past her chin, and she was surprised how matted it could get.

Linda sighed contently as the warm water cascaded over her body. She absolutely loved the new shower! A few weeks ago, she had won a bathroom makeover. Danny strongly advised against it, believing the bathroom was perfect the way it was. But Linda had entered the contest anyway, and now their shower was nearly twice as big as it used to be, and they had a claw foot tub. Danny thought it was so cute when his wife got excited over the tub. As long as he had known her, she wanted a claw foot tub like in the old movies.

Danny smiled and stepped in the shower shortly after Linda.

"I thought you'd forgotten," she teased, putting her arms around his neck.

"Do you know who you're talking to?" He smirked and kissed his wife.

Personally, Linda liked bath time better, but was never against shower time.

About an hour later- because that's how long the hot water lasted- the married couple stepped out and got ready for the day. Of course, it took twice, maybe three times, as long as it normally would, but that was okay. They were both graced with the same day off, and they had planned a whole day of just them. No kids, no work, no family. Just two love birds enjoying life.
