I waited until I thought the others two where asleep then carefully sneak out of my bed. I go to strap my swords and cloak to my back but a voice stops me mid movement.

"What are you doing?" A sleepy Lucy asks me siting up in her bed. "Are you going somewhere?"

"Shh. Lu go back to bed." I whisper back trying to get the girl to leave me alone.

"What's happening?" Susan asks sitting up rubbing her eyes. "Maggie where are you going?"

"I was just..." I start to say but a shadow of a giant cat walking by casts over the tent. The three of us look at each other with questioning looks. The other two quickly put there cloaks on and we sneak out of the flap of the tent.

We hide behind things as we fallow Aslan. I stop as we are about to enter the forest. The other two move on and I turn around and look at the spot where I was supposed to meet Edmund.

"Maggie come on!" Lucy whispers to me as she moves further into the wood. I glance at the boys tent and see that the lantern in the boys tent was still on. That meant Peter was still up. I then look back at the two girls slowly disappearing in the trees. I turn once more to the tent to see if Edmund would make an appearance. Seeing nothing I sigh and move to catch up with the girls.

We follow Aslan for sometime ducking behind different trees. He suddenly stopped and let out a sigh.

"Aren't you three supposed to be in bed?" Aslan asked with a hint of sadness in his voice. We step out from our hiding place with a guilty look on our faces.

"We couldn't sleep." Lucy says with guilt in her voice.

"We saw you walk by and wanted to make sure you where alright." I say as I come and stand by Lucy.

"Please Aslan, can't we come with you?" Susan asked pleading with the great lion. He lets out a sigh and turns to face us fully.

"I would be glad of the company. For a while." He says turning back to the direction he was walking. We all run our hands through his fur. The walk was silent and grim. I couldn't help but wonder what Edmund was doing. Is he waiting for me? Is he sitting there by himself? I instantly was racked guilt thinking about it. However, my thought process is interrupted by the great lion stopping suddenly.

"It's time." Aslan said with a heavy sorrow. He glanced at us from the side of his eyes. "I must go on alone." He walks past us and and turns aground in order to look at us. "Thank you Susan. Thank you Lucy. Thank you Margret. And farewell." Aslan turns and walks away from us. We stand there silently and wait till he is out of view.

"We are going to fallow him, aren't we?" I ask looking at the two of them. They nod and start to follow the regal feline. I reach for my necklace and close my eyes. "I'm sorry Ed." I whisper.

We walk until we reach a clearing. We duck behind a bunch of bushes to watch the scene of misery unfold. We see the witch in front of a stone alter of sorts. She was surrounded by her followers. My blood turns cold as I watch those vile beings taunting the great lion. My heart started racing and I take a few steps back. Suddenly everything around me started to spin and the locket started to turn hot in my hands. Then suddenly everything turned clear again but the light was still blazingly bright and my locket still burnt my skin. I make eye contact with Aslan as the witch stabs a stone knife in to the golden fur of the brave cat. Suddenly, it's like all of the energy left the lion's body and rushed to me.

"Remember Margret Rose Hunter. Follow your heart and it will lead you to where you are needed most." The disembodied voice of Aslan wrings in my ears. The locket burnt even more almost as if it was on fire. Then everything went black.

I wake up with a start and sit up really quickly. I take in a greedy breath and look around at the area around me. Susan is siting behind me looking at me with surprise. It seemed as if my head was being cradled in her lap. She had tears staining her face. I turn and see Lucy bawling and it registered that she is holding my hand. My memory started to come back and suddenly I'm up like a shot and run toward the stone table and the sad looking Lion.

I run as fast as I can and throw myself on Aslan's body and weep. I feel Susan and Lucy come up behind me. They to wrap there arms around him. Lucy suddenly reaches for the potion that Father Christmas gave her.

"It's too late." Susan says through a new batch of tears. "He is gone." She chokes out. This caused Lucy to cry harder. I wrap my arm around Lucy to comfort her. Then suddenly a gust of wind picks up.

"Margret. You know what to do." A familiar voice whispers in the wind. Then a new warmth washed over my chest. I did know what to do.

"I have to go." I whisper.

"What?" Susan asked through tears turning towards me.

"Maggie your necklace." Lucy gasps looking at my locket glowing on my chest.

"I have to go I repeat." The other two look at me with concerned looks. "An army is going to camp right now. I need to go help the boys. We need to warn them!" I say standing up and heading towards the wood.

"Did you hit your head when you fell?" Lucy asked me with concern.

"No she is right Lu. We have to tell the boys. We need to head back." Susan tells her little sister.

"No. You two need to stay here." I say to them sternly.

"Why?" Lucy asks me looking frightened.

"I don't know. There is just something telling me that you two need to stay." I say looking off in the distance.

"How will you know how to get back?" Susan ask putting a hand on my shoulder. I reach down and grab my locket. It acted as it did the day Edmund came back to camp.

"My locket. It shows me where to go." I say looking at the glowing shape in my hand.

"How dose it know?" Lucy asks me getting a closer look.

"I really don't know. All I know is that I need to be back at camp." I say looking at the two of them with pleading eyes.

"Even if you leave now how will we know you will get back in time?" Susan ask. I can tell she doesn't want me to go.

"The trees." Lucy suddenly says. "We can use them to send a message and warn the others." I look at the young girl and give her a small smile and a nod.

"That's a great idea Lu." I tell the girl. Susan looks at the two of us for a long moment and then throughs herself at me. I wrap my arms around the older girl and hold her close.

"Be safe. Please." The older girl cry's in my shoulder. Suddenly Lucy wraps herself around us.

"I will." As I whisper tears of my own falling. I pull back and wan towards Aslan and give his noes a kiss. I look once more at the sisters and give them a nod.

I walk my way to the woods and let my locket guide me to the right path. I can feel the girls eyes on my until I am out of sight. There is a change in the air as I walk. A war is imitate.
