Author's note: Hey, so I lied this isn't the final chapter. I just envisioned this adorable scene and wanted to get this in before the last chapter. But hey, now you know where all the nations are meeting to find out the big final explanation. Why do they not know who each other are and more importantly, why do they not know who they, themselves, are? And who is the prisoner from all those chapters ago? All this and more in the final chapter coming up!
A tall slender man robed in a chiffon button down collared shirt wrapped with a black vest with purple pin stripes grips his suitcase nervously. Roderich Edelstein is an aristocrat wearing astoundingly expensive attire. He is very nervous on the inside but he appears calm amidst the many strangers shuffling around him. He grips his Italian leather suitcase, takes a deep breath and pulls open the glass door to the airport.
"Um" Roderich falters at the airport clerk's desk. He reaches a long pale hand into his pocket and pulls out the ticket.
"Someone has paid for me to fly to New York" he cautiously tells the clerk, hoping to hear some kind of concerned response, but she doesn't notice that he is nervous.
She points to the row of kiosks against the wall. "You have to print your boarding pass electronically. I'm not supposed to do it for you."
Roderich turns all the way around and sighs. He is very scared to follow through with this.
A few rows of customers over, a muscular blonde man is interested in Roderich's predicament. Ludwig gets out of line to go stand by Roderich.
"Someone gave you a ticket to New York? Do you know why?" he asks the brunette with spectacles.
"It's none of your business" the nervous Austrian sticks up his nose to Ludwig but then lets his guard down as Ludwig very slowly pulls out a plane ticket to New York.
"Maybe we work for the same company. It could be a business meeting set up anonymously. Where do you work?" the blonde pries the man he has no idea is his brother.
"I don't... work. I am an aristocrat. Adopted into wealth... um. I will occasionally play piano for the State Opera House, whenever they need me for a show but I definitely don't have a consistent job."
Ludwig's eyebrows furrow. He's puzzled as to why they've both received these tickets.
Gilbert cannot believe it when he spots these two talking in the crowded airport. He pushes through many people in order to stand with them.
"You guys have already met. No, I missed it!" the gray haired handsome man gasps to them, clutching at his knees. "I wanted to see how you two would act meeting each other for the first time as strangers."
Ludwig and Roderich both give Gilbert filthy looks, they are getting annoyed with all the excess confusion.
"AW I REMEMBER THOSE LOOKS SO WELL! I USED TO HATE YOU DOOFUSES!" then Gilbert realizes something. "AH BUT IF YOU'RE GLARING AT ME THAT MEANS YOU CAN SEE ME AGAIN! AH YES! There are three plane seats together in each row, I demand that we sit together!" the older but much less mature man grabs his two brothers and drags them towards airport security while gratefully crying and apologizing for every mean thing he's ever said to his brothers.
He has missed them so much.
