The population didn't react well to the demonstration of magic that has been spread around the globe; chaos and panic were the first answers that most of the people could give to the fact of being once again at the mercy of some super powerful creature. Governors of all nations desperately looked for information about what was that mystic event about, but they had no more success with their research than the terrorized people on the streets; even their so-acclaimed heroes seemingly didn't understand what was going on. Not even the special bases or the moon itself escaped from the mysterious involving, although the few told by the humans out of the planet couldn't explain much about what was really going on to them.
In the avengers' headquarters, the tension on each one of the presents in the spacious room where they were was almost touchable; some hours have already passed since the first appearing of the energy was registered, no one knew who was the responsible for such a misfortune, but Carol Danvers was found in an almost critical state after pursuing the Iron Girl when she left from her trial, leaving a real mess behind, and each one of the hundreds of mystic artifacts found on the scenes that evidenced the crimes committed by Stark showed an odd activity at the same time on uncountable planet's regions where they were. There were no doubts about the involvement of Linna in the spell that tormented them, however, this told them nothing about where the woman was or about how to reverse what she helped to do.
Doctor Strange, the one who could help them the most at that time, wasn't found anywhere and everything indicated that his sudden proximity with Loki had allowed him to discover what the couple was planning, fact that they believe that had taken him to a solitary mission that forced him to stay in another place while each man and woman on earth were locked under the continuous threat of someone.
By that time, they have already analyzed the most varied possibilities about what was going on, however, each minute passing made their hypothesis to look like more and more unlikely and none of them seemed applaudable for them. Thor couldn't even use Bifrost out of the earth; all of them, with no exception, were still locked clueless about what was coming next.
Some analyzed interplanetary maps and files looking for any indication of what was that, other discussed together attempting to find a viable alternative and there were also those who couldn't stand being there, stopped, not doing something really useful, the same ones who were at this time spread through the streets trying to contain the populational desperation or investigating for their own manners the reason for the block between the planet and the universe. That's why all of those in the meeting room churned surprisingly after identifying the orange bright of a typical portal of the mystic arts masters forming in front of them, opening the way for a wizard to pass through together with a figure unknown for most of them.
It was Wong, wizard on duty for the supreme magician, who up to that moment had been recluse in the Sanctum Santorum, which is his responsibility to protect, ignoring any attempt of contact of the external world. By his side it was a humanoid-looking, gray-skinned creature who most of the most expert avengers recognized as Drax the Destroyer.
- I must apologize for my up-to-now absence in this period of danger. – the wizard said with a bit of reverence in front of everybody's looks. – This man arrived to the Earth moments before we were involved under the Ancestor Shield carrying an indeed intriguing message, of so-great meaning that I couldn't bring it for you before verifying its trueness.
- Doctor Strange is reuniting the Infinity Stones. – The extraterrestrial summed up what everyone expected to hear. – I thought it was another wizard when I had my stone stolen, however, the weirdo said it was Strange himself.
The news wasn't well received at first, part of the people couldn't even associate the wizard's image to something like that, other interpreted it with a certain relief for firmly believing that when dealing with Strange, there should be nothing to be afraid of, and that he would never do any bad for the Earth just for his very duty is to protect it. There were those who also didn't understand how this was possible considering that the stones of his time were destroyed by Thanos, after all they didn't know about Adam Warlock's actions on his own infinity journey.
- We shouldn't, however, presume that he has bothered to reunite them for himself, since he's the one sustaining this shield on our planet and this would turn him into an easy target to defeat to recover the stones. – The servant commented as if trying to make the others to get to the same conclusion as he has.
- So, who do you believe it is for? – A voice among the agglomeration of people asked.
- I would say that Thor's brother is a nice bet. – Wong seemed too calm for such an affirmation. – Wait for me to finish and don't jump to conclusions. – A whisper escaped from his lips and he lowered his look without courage to stare at the people. – The cloak that chose to belong to the supreme magician may be a magnificent artifact, but it carries a strong burden and its bearer, since the times of the most powerful worthy human to use it; I believe in its kind of conscience… he can't realize that, but that woman left a spell on it ready to be activated on a useful enough person when the proper time arrived. During many decades, the very Ancient who succeeded her tried to reverse it, but she wasn't even minimally capable of alter it and I fear it has been activated at some point since the problems with the multiverse started years ago. Stephen's being used to fulfill the objective of that wizard and maybe he is being manipulated in many different forms, just as Loki… - The wizard found Thor's eyes which were fixed on him, it was clear the angry he felt, so much that he could hear the thunders outside. – Your brother see himself as a good player, but he's just another peon in the game of greater creatures, he was an Alane's disciple, I don't doubt she has guided him somehow to the ways he's following now. – His eyes turned to the others. – All indicates that the threat that caused all this disorder is Eternity, a friend of the Earth's wizards and mainly of Strange. It would be really worrying to have an enemy like this, however, I was led to believe that there's something behind all this. Eternity is directly affected with the union of all the Infinity Stones and that's why she swore never to allow such reunion to happen again, if all the stones are together again, it's because that's the best thing to happen. We can presume some things, first: we shouldn't be worried about this eternity, second: what is going on now is needed to keep the balance, third: beings much beyond our comprehension are acting for the objective of the ancient supreme magician to take place faster and now, so we must be prepared because an ancient divinity is coming to us.

Loki's senses weren't at their best moments, his body moved unwillingly, synchronized with his partners. He was pure instinct and instability while his mind wandered far away from there and he couldn't focus on anything about what they were living. A lethal dance happened, the god's and the human's body acted as one, the god received all the absurd power charge on his body and, somehow, he could canalize it and even use it to his favor. The woman provided her own massive energy and helped preventing the other sources to overflow the sharing and hurt the jotun. No one was hurt up to that moment, or, if they were, they weren't conscious enough to notice. The prince heard a constant bang inside his head and he knew that wasn't part of the conflict in which they were involved in, he was surpassing some barrier he has never known that even existed. Those two were moved by a single goal and they wouldn't stop until the threat was over.
They would have seen the proud expression on what seemed to be the face of the entity if they really could see anything, both little creatures had no notion of the achievement they have made, despite being able to easily reunite all the powerful singularities (yes, it was still a great achievement, despite the fact the Living Tribunal had given a hand on that) that human could interpret the instructions of a being like the Mind Stone and make everything it said to her with no more help, not even knowing that. The armors that involved the bodies of its defiant were maybe the most impressing technology that it could have ever seen, even may being simple to anyone's eyes. Eternity didn't doubt that even their own bearers didn't know exactly what they were capable of doing with what both have implanted in their organisms.
If anyone realized when the battle involved celestial bodies and destroyed them, there was no sign of preoccupation or hesitation, not even when the wrecks of what they had just ruined were led straight to the Earth. They knew that it wasn't this kind of protection they owed it at that moment. They didn't mind about the pandemonium that the collision of the comet with the planet caused to the Earth.
The perception about every existing thing was seemingly not the same with the point of view they had now, they were not just the bearers of stones that conceded them powers over the essential aspects of the universe, they were each one of these aspects in each and every sense. This, besides from turning them into something much more beyond the comprehension that most of the beings have, made them conscious that defeating the enemy was much more than killing it. Destroying the remaining of Eternity's life wouldn't be a privilege for anyone, they couldn't simply snap their fingers and see it to disappear, it was needed to find a way to inactivate it so that its acts didn't bring much worse consequences than death itself.
May some minutes, hours or days have passed, none of them would have noticed the time difference, but from some moment on, the human and the jotun surpassed the Entity's resistance and its barriers and they started to see it weakening, stepping back, showing signs of the closest thing to fear it could feel. The victory wouldn't be a problem, it was clear that the adversary lost more and more its remaining power and gradually its universal function was being replaced for those bearing the seven infinity stones.
Whatever the hell kept Eternity active and resistant was losing its influence power, but it didn't seem even close to be willing to give up. Loki started to put it definitively into a new place in the universe, he felt as if he was born just to be there at that moment. In his point of view, EVERYTHING seemed to be to the reach of his hands, nothing was impossible for him and suddenly even that battle turned to be meaningless; he could be focused on it until the victory happened or could project his conscience on any other place, which would be completely indifferent, he believed at that moment that not even if he wanted to, he could be defeated.
His mind took him to a better place without having to make the minimal effort, his eyes blinked, changing his vision of what was happening to a particular paradise and in a few seconds, he saw himself hand in hand with his partner who was with him in the battle from a strategic place and the beauties of a planet he didn't know, although he had a vague memory of the last time he was sent there, now it felt for him like a real home. Both were relaxed and at ease, without the pressure of the death that before seemed to be imminent.
The red lace that symbolized the fake engagement they had was there linking them instead of the gauntlet they shared. The god noticed the crown on her very well-cared hair and realized, momentarily, that she reflected the image of a true queen, which was linked to the fact that he was beside her as a king.
- On the other times I've been here, this place was much more chaotic. – Lin commented, retributing his look. – Your presence makes it to look more like a home, it's pleasant.
- Chaos is something that usually pleases me, but I admit that I'd rather be here with it this way. The destruction I've seen before is terrifying. – Loki considered that wherever they were that would be a good place to stablish their kingdom. The woman looked ahead again and his partner noticed some anxiety on her.
- Our lives won't be the same after we win, right? – She seemed to be distant as if turning back her attention momentarily to what they were facing simultaneously to the conversation.
- And why would be that something bad? – The prince couldn't help exhibiting a delighting and satisfied smile with his new plans for the future they would follow.
- Peter told me once that with great power comes great responsibility. – A little laugh played in her lips. – We're not exactly the responsible kind of people.
- I should promise to change from now on and swear to be an exemplary king? – She denied, he wouldn't be sincere anyway. – So, what do you want me to do? Take hold of my great temper, I'm willing to please you.
- Marry me. – Her cheeks got red and his eyes widened, he definitively wasn't expecting that.
- What? Now? – his expression was split into fun and disbelief. Her nod made him even more surprised. – We don't have a priest here, in the case you haven't noticed.
- We are sharing the power over all the cosmic aspects, you are a god and a future king, do you really believe we need a priest? – Loki took his free hand to hold hers.
- No, I was just checking if it was really true. – Lin looked at him pretending indignation. – We can do this, but later I want a great celebration, so magnificent that no one will ever forget.
- Sure, princess. I still want to see you in a bride dress. – Both lightly laughed and shared an intense look, they really meant what they intended to do.
The jotun let the human to see part of his thoughts and to know what to do, soon after, each one of them took one hand to the edge of the lace and in synchronized movements, they perfectly enlaced it on their fingers and wrist, saying a sequence of words together that not necessarily were the proper ones, but were the ones that most befitted what they had become. "Time, Mind, Reality, Space, Power, Ego and Soul, we are one and as one we will remain until we get fed up of each other. We swear that while we stand each other we will be together for the eternity, that we will constantly think about each other until another person conquer our attention, we sear that we will mold worlds to our favor, that we will leave our mark wherever we are and that nothing except ourselves will be able to stop us. At last, we promise that we will share the same ambitions while we are not enemies. Till death do us part or till we fake it to do us part".
Their mocking laughs made the moment even more special, they weren't exactly taking each other seriously, but the sentences were real and proof of that was that they were heard by those who dedicated their promises and on their wrists subtle symbols appeared as an eternal proof of the deal they had just sealed. They were officially married. The prince took his right hand to her nape bringing her near for a meaningful touch-of-lips and noticed that in addition to explicit joy, there was something different on her face.
- Your eyes are brown. – He commented as if it were of no importance and dedicated a recomforting caress on her hair, but for Lin that was not only unexpected but also scaring. She took her hand to his and was taken by a sudden fright.
Stark's eyes unfocused a while as if she visualized what would happen to her body and witnessed something terrible; her first instinct was to pull the body of her now-husband close to her, involving him in a desperate hug.
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry… - Her voice showed her fear and her pain for something he couldn't understand.
- Did you already regret proposing to me? I admit that it was faster than I thought. – His human didn't seem to cause an effect and she simply held him tighter, terrified.
Rolling the eyes neglectingly, Loki retributed the sudden gesture of needed care, he liked to have his weirdo so close to him and he was ready to let her explain after she calmed down, that, of course if the understanding hadn't hit him strongly, literally.
The god felt the pain of the draining again in a so much more intense way that he fell on his knees in front of the partner who uselessly tried to help him; he felt his vision blurring and he couldn't even see her face clearly anymore, although he perfectly realized that all the beauty in which his consciences were was collapsing again, gradually he saw himself leaving that place, leaving her behind.
When his mind went back to his body he saw himself wandering in the space and felt as if a great universal essence had just fell so that another thing could emerge in its place. The prince looked at the hand with the gauntlet and the stones and saw it burnt, without protection and in raw flesh, the pain starting in there extended through all his arms up to too close to his heart; he noticed too that most part of his armor had been destroyed and realized that he wasn't the bearer of the stones that had given him so much power. He saw the gigantic bod of the entity to fluctuate very far from there, inactive, and didn't feel the presence of his wife anywhere, just as he has noticed that something much more threatening was getting close to him. He tried to react and to step back instinctively, but he couldn't move.
In some seconds, Lin's figure appeared in front of him, she had complete capacity of locomotion even being her own armor not showing any sign of working and Loki just had to truly look at her to know that she wasn't his little monster there. All her body seemed to have been damaged with the blow that separated them, but her wounds had a so wrong purplish tone that he felt sick. He noticed on her hand the complete infinity gauntlet. That thing raised the hand and seemingly altered the time to cure him, however didn't give any more attention to him after that. Her skin started to change turning completely purple and without scars, her destroyed armor disappeared, her hair got so dark that they could be confused with the vision of the landscape around her and her clothes changed completely into a white and golden outfit never seen before, the eyes didn't need any modification, they were already completely golden. That was the alive personification of Original. She stared at the gauntlet on her hand fascinatingly and took it out; she wanted to mold it to something that could really be associated to her image and that's why she changed the reality to transform it into a crown and put it to her head, taking at last her place in the universe. The prophecy was consummated.
The god, although free of any wound, couldn't breathe at all, he held the remaining breath he had with difficulty and strived not to lose his senses; he couldn't and didn't want to lose that creature's sight. The powerful thing raised its members and tested its own senses, it seemed wondered and enjoyed with emotion its first minutes in its recently-acquired body, there was a satisfied smile on its face and nothing could be worthy of causing it more satisfaction than the forms of energy it now abundantly felt in the whole universe: it wasn't anymore the only creature alive, it wasn't alone. Original tried to get used to the sensation of everything its body caught; it could see, hear and feel so many different things from what existed in the first time it opened its eyes that it could cry if it really knew how to do that. It knew that all of that it could distinguish wasn't exactly close to itself or in the same environment where it was, but it didn't stop it from smiling more and more.
She suddenly remembered of the form of life that was really close to her and interrupted her contemplation moment to observe him; she knew Loki's figure for a long, long time and, however, that was the first time she could look at him with her own eyes. She noticed that his beatings were weak and lowering each second, found it strange his unfocused look, even knowing he could see her and then she remembered that inferior creatures like Frost Giants and Asgardians can't keep stable for too long when the gases they breathe are completely taken from them. The purplish being got close to the point of touching him with her own hands, it was completely new for her tact to be able of recognizing someone like the skin of another being and even her partner's body instincts were almost having a seizure in the attempt of pushing her away, she didn't feel bothered at all.
Holding the prince's chin and admiring the vision of his eyes, she took themselves back to the Earth with the influence she had on the space, also sending celestial bodies and any other kind of physical form nearby to somewhere of the multiverse unconsciously, she still needed to get more adapted to completely control her powers so that she could recover the strength she had on her peak.
When the jotun's lungs received again a breathable source, he felt his vision darkening for some seconds, so sudden changes weren't good for him at all. The cough his body produced until he got used to it didn't take long to cease, but his head still pulsed for the next seconds until he could finally stabilize again.
The woman took themselves to the wrecks of an ancient civilization and observed them kind of melancholic, that was one of the few places where she could call her home along all her existence and partially for her fault it was destroyed. She walked with familiarity through the forest that was now surrounding the region and when she was relatively far from the prince, she looked at him in a way that showed clearly that an order should be obeyed. Loki wasn't fool to the point of countering her, therefore, he soon put himself to walk side by side with the entity, his body didn't react negatively to her presence and also detected no hostility from her.
- I believe that before we start I have to clear up some points. – She spoke, testing her own voice. The reality around both started to mold as long as they moved, bringing all the greatness of that ancient kingdom back. – Many centuries ago I used to vague from a host to another looking for someone who would be capable of accomplishing my objectives. – steps came up in front of their feet and they climbed them up. – There was this time I possessed a god called Tyr and he took me straight to Asgard attempting to get rid of his parasite. – Phenomenal structures appeared right in front of the eyes of them both. – But Odin recognized what I am and tried to destroy me. – Although not presenting any threat for the liar god, the hierarchy was clear. – He failed and ended up killing his friend, in addition, he wasn't strong enough to kill me while I was exposed without a body and not even fast enough to stop me before I could lodge in someone else. So I possessed a young girl to guide her, Amora was her name, if I am not mistaken, the son of the god of war who kept insistently close to her father even after all the advices of her king. – Loki didn't show any emotion with the new information however indignant he felt internally. – The "Father of All" was smart and realized that attacking me wouldn't solve anything, just as it wouldn't be easy to get rid of my existence. Odin felt in the girl the danger I represent and he couldn't interfere, he didn't know how to act without putting another of his servants in danger and he was too much unstable to make any decision that wouldn't harm them. It was Frigga who saw me as a rational being and not as an uncontrollable threat, she realized that besides having a coincidence in me becoming different from the other stones they knew, there was still a coincidence greater than all the others. The queen asked to talk and after they became conscious of everything I can do, of my objectives and of how inevitable I am, they offered a deal. – A magnificent palace was completely formed in front of them. – They gave me a prince so that he could rule by my side, which I already know they would do, I didn't provoke your adoption for no reason. – She smiled sarcastically to the jotun, very alike to the one of another person, when noticing the bad-hidden shock on the other's expression.
The woman walked through the entering hall and sat on the fancy throne waiting for her, the prince followed slower, he couldn't think much coherently, her presence seemed to confuse him much more than usual and he wasn't acting as himself anymore. Loki realized that he was smiling when getting in front of her and reverenced her.
- I feel honored to serve you. – His words also didn't match to what he really wanted to say.
- You were born to rule and your adoptive parents knew that, even having the time made them to forget everything they had done to me and in your consideration. – There was a kind of contentment on her voice. – They also knew I couldn't be left alone again and that a so promising mind as yours by my side, Asgard could be spared. – Her eyes seemed to see much further than what was really in front of both – In my peak, when I tried to create life it turned its back on me and tried to subjugate me, they were ungrateful and there was no possible future in which they would become good. After, when I tried to kill myself, a whole universe was created and because of that life could progress on thousands of planets; but the evil evolved together with it and that's why I decided to come to Earth first. – The purplish eyelids angrily closed – My memories in the body that allowed my come back disgust me, despite the fact I have done everything I have for her to stand it and evolve, I can't forget the satisfaction that all those humans felt with what I provoked…
Loki frost, his conflicting memories overlaying each other and, however, he kept hearing the infantile scream and seeing the terror expressions along all his distorted years. She caused all of that to his little monster, she caused the so abnormal life she was imposed to live. The god was hyperventilating, he couldn't remember well, but everything was so wrong. The words that came next caught his attention and made him to stop thinking about such banalities.
- Everything will be different from what you've been taught. – the woman raised one of her hands – I am the one who determine who are worthy from now on.
The temporal magic wasn't unnoticed and, fragment by fragment, an object destroyed many years ago was rebuilt to the touch of the entity. There it was the Mjolnir, the very same that in his brother's perception was broken by Hela when they fought against her for the first time, and the purplish one offered it to jotun, as if he were created to be wield by that prince and not by the throne's heir. It was one of the greatest ambitions of Loki taking place right in front of him and that's why anything that should be important now was forgotten. He accepted what she offered him being sure that the hammer would refuse him, but when his fingers closed around the cable it didn't happen, tears that would always be denied came to his eyes, he definitively could raise it, he was worthy. Just to reinforce what she wanted to prove, the woman altered a little bit more the reality, giving to the god an aspect even more divine, as well as changed his clothes to something that combined more with his new position and put on his shoulders a cloak that reminded the one the Thunder God used to wear.
- My queen, tell me your desires and I will accomplish them. – There was no sign for the god that he wanted to say any other thing by that time.
- You will spread my message for the earthlings and then we will have a little bit of fun or if they're smart enough not to choose the extinction. – Even with the senses of the adopted Asgardian being completely disturbed he was still able to notice the sadistic smile on her lips.
- Of course, - His eyes ran around the great hall and the ancient scripture of a powerful name was highlighted – Nemesis.
(…)
The population felt it when the threat they were alerted about arrived at the planet. Each human, animal and extraterrestrial in the globe had their senses about the fear elevated to deplorable levels and all understood perfectly what that sensation meant: death. Many couldn't bear the nuisance that that unstoppable announce caused them, others didn't feel merely affected by the terror in their minds almost as if they didn't need in fact to worry about what was about to come and there were those who, even with their own body screaming to run away and begging mercy for the being about to destroy them, were getting ready to face it.
The avengers' headquarters was weirdly empty for the occasion, most of the people had lost their courage in the moment that their forces were overtaken and no one was really comfortable with what they needed to do. The primitive side of all of them alerted that the extermination would be inevitable and that there was nothing else that could be done. However, Steve Rogers, Thor, Scott Lang, Wanda Maximoff, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner and James Rhodes were there following those who could stay. They had beat the unbeatable once and they would do it again. At all costs.
Wong helped those intending to reunite to do so, he brought asgardians and their queen, wakandians and their king, brought for the base the heroes who were far and surprisingly he made it to bring the Atlantis warriors together with their monark, Namor. They didn't know much about this last one, but any help was welcome. They didn't have as many people as they expected, but they were not alone.
They planned to go straight to their enemy when a change in space and time was visible, everyone was alarmed and, however, when they saw the god Loki getting out of it with his brother's hammer in hands, what they felt was closer to relief. This up to the moment that someone started to talk to him.
The god of thunder was the only one who felt the need to welcome him and neared ready to congratulate him for escaping from the creature that manipulated him. He was really happy because he wouldn't have to make another funeral for his brother and for not seeing him attacking his precious Earth. However, when he got close enough to joke about the fake Mjolnir he held, Thor realized it wasn't Loki in front of him, not the Loki he knew, his Loki. His brother has never had golden eyes. Then he understood that he had lost the liar prince again, he didn't beat the enemy they were about to fight against, he possibly didn't even had the chance to fight.
- Thor, son of Odin. – The blond heard the voice identical to the trickster god, but he didn't recognize it as his, it seemed indeed unstable. – Are you the one the humans send as messenger? You have already been on better positions, I can bet. – The ironic false smile couldn't make it better however being it the same he saw in the other's face during all the years they lived together.
- Apparently, I'm in the same position as you. – his voice couldn't show any emotions, he was breaking apart.
- Don't rush thinking such a thing about me I will be the governor over this world and all the others before you can tell. – His proud expression disgusted him.
- Is that what she's saying? She's going to keep you as a partner after we're all dead? You're the god of lies, you shouldn't be so easily deceived.
- No, actually this is what our parents made to happen. She made a pact with them while still in Amora's body, she can't hurt me even if she wanted to and she truly wants a partner to be with her in power.
- She can't hurt you, but she can destroy your mind and mold it however she pleases.
That man smiled insolently at him and the god that was one day the king of Asgard could clearly see that, despite it was his brother's body in front of him, he was talking directly to Original, it was as if the creature had expanded her vision over the world through another living being, keeping its essence. Thor didn't doubt that the monster was acting this way since long time before his birth, it deeply hurt him to see how noticeable it had become the control she exerted on Loki.
- Our governor is generous and offered you two options to set your futures: you may choose to allow her to exterminate the evil of this world without resistance, which will preserve the life on this planet, or you may try to take from her the possession of the infinity stones, what honestly will never happen, but considering you are that lucky and this happens, she promises she will never interfere in Midgard lives again.
The blond got closer with a serious expression, put his hand hardly on his brother's shoulders, caressing them, while a small smile appeared on his face. For not even a second their eyes strayed. Thunders were worrisomely heard near where they were.
- Tell your governor that we won't let people die without fighting for the lives of each one of them, that we will never surrender without resistance, that she will fall and that I will recover my brother – Thor spoke once again with the sovereignty he in fact had and acted as the powerful god he really was.
- So, let's have a little bit of fun before the extinction. – Loki's face showed a big smile and stepped a little back, raising his hammer as a sign to be taken back. The blond did nothing until the jotun disappeared, the decision was made definitively and nothing could change that.
The thunder god walked back to the headquarters with a conflicting mind, he feared not having done the right thing on his anger moment, but he couldn't backtrack now. His angry and distracted steps took him to his friends and he wanted very much to find what remained of the powerful drink Toni Stark made for him so long ago. It seemed much easier to run away and wait for death than being there in front of the imminent defeat unable to do anything; honestly, it was for a close shave thy had defeated Thanos the second time they fought and they lost when he was with the infinity stones, they hadn't turned to powder yet for the simple fact that the creature seemed to want to play with their lives instead of exterminating them once and for all.
It wasn't even needed to mention that against the titan all of those capable of fighting came to help in the great battle. He could have been a very powerful leader in all his years of life, but he had never inspired so much fear in a population to the point of making it unable to react just because he was in the same planet of them. They were ridiculously without support even after most of the nations had tried to help.
Thor walked straight through the people he didn't bore to recognize, looking for Bruce, he needed good advices. However, a voice too much alike to his own called his attention and he turned suddenly to the sound trying to understand whose it was; then his eyes stared at a version of him of black hair and green eyes beside a blond hair and blue-eyed Loki.
- A GOD, BROTHER! – His other himself said pointing to him blatantly and very excitingly. – Thomas, hold me, I'm passing out. – He stuck to the other dramatically, his partner simply corner-smiled, probably he was already used to it. – I have always known you are greatly amazing somewhere!
His eyes looked for some recognized soul and they found Steve not very far from there, the old man probably noticed the almost visible interrogation on his face, but just got closer laughing and facing the weirdos as if they were the most wonderful thing he has ever seen in his many years of life.
Seeing the relieved expression on the retired avenger's face gave him the impression for a moment that they were safe.
