Friday Night SmackDown: 2/2/2007

Friday Night SmackDown was live in Houston, Texas. To kick off the show, the World Heavyweight Champion Batista demanded an answer from the Deadman about his intentions for WrestleMania 23, welcoming the challenge to go up against the 14-0 Undefeated Streak. Although, just when fans thought Undertaker would show up...

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Vengeful One hits and out comes the WWE Champion to a pop. Bladewolf has the title wrapped around his waist as he walks down towards the ring and gets inside. He grabs a microphone as his theme dies down. The WWE Champion stares down the World Heavyweight Champion.

"You are not the only one who wants an answer." Bladewolf began slowly as he stares down Batista. "I'm also undefeated at WrestleMania, I've been at every WrestleMania in the last ten years except WrestleMania 21, yet I am 9-0 because I won two matches in one night at WrestleMania 15." The fans remembered that night, Bladewolf won the Intercontinental Championship for the 2nd time while also defending the World Tag Team Championships alongside Kane. "If I am chosen to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, there is going to be Hell on Earth when we collide. If I am chosen, then I need to prepare for quite possibly the biggest WrestleMania match of my entire career."

The stare down continued between them until the bell tolls and the fans pop as the Undertaker's theme plays and the Deadman himself comes out to the ring. Once he's inside, he stares down the two World Champions, getting in his little brother's face first. Bladewolf now has the WWE Championship on his left shoulder and both brothers look down at it before Undertaker turns his attention to the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista.

Undertaker walks over to the World Heavyweight Champion and stares Batista down, the man who has the one title Undertaker has desired since last January. Yet every time he comes close to winning it, someone interferes.

Suddenly DX's theme hits and Shawn Michaels comes out to a pop as the three men in the ring look at Mr. WrestleMania. Michaels walks down the ramp and gets into the ring, snatching the microphone out of Bladewolf's hand.

"Pardon the interruption, gentlemen." Shawn says to the two World Champions. "But you two aren't the only ones who want an answer from the Undertaker." Shawn gets in the Undertaker's face. "Now Deadman, I know you won the Royal Rumble...but did we really prove anything? Come on, guys like you and me, we're cut from the same cloth. We thrive on competition. We thrive on finding who the better man really is. Now I ask you; did we do that at the Rumble? I don't think so! I'm taking this opportunity right now to challenge you. Put your WrestleMania title shot on the line and let's give these people exactly what they want!"

The fans cheered in agreement as Undertaker got in Shawn's face but before anything could be said, Vince McMahon's theme hits and the Chairman comes out to boos. He walks down and gets into the ring, a microphone already in hand.

"It appears to me that you've got a decision to make." Vince said to the Undertaker who gazed coldly at him. "By the way, Shawn, as great as your potential match is, I don't give a damn what you want. I don't give a damn what any of you people want!" He points at the fans who boo. "You'll want what I want and you'll want it when I tell you to want it! We're not gonna see this match. I'll goad you one better. I'm gonna give you a match you've never dreamed of seeing. A match that in all likely will never take place again. On February 18 there will be no way out for you four men. Because you Bladewolf!" Bladewolf looks at the boss. "You will be teaming up with Shawn Michaels in a tag team match against Batista and the Undertaker!"

The fans popped loudly as Vince left the ring, leaving the four men in the ring to glance at each other.

Monday Night RAW: 5/2/2007

Monday Night RAW was live in Sioux City, Iowa. A video airs recapping the Royal Rumble and some of the events that happened on SmackDown and ECW last week, as the Undertaker attempts to make his decision as to whom he'll face at Wrestlemania 23.

We then go to the arena, and Adam-Martin Land looks like it's pretty excited for Wrasslin'.

The Undertaker's gong hit and he came out to the ramp and made his way down to the ring. He did his whole entrance routine while JR and King collectively crapped their pants. Once Undertaker was in the ring, he took his hat and trench cost off before waiting for the Champions.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Vengeful One hits and out comes the WWE Champion. Bladewolf has the title in hand instead of on his shoulder or around his waist. The 5-time World Champion walks down the ramp and enters the ring, flipping the title onto his left shoulder as he stares down his older brother before raising the title. Undertaker glances at it before locking eyes with Bladewolf once more.

Bobby Lashley's theme then hits and the ECW World Champion comes out. He walks down the ramp and gets into the raising his title as Undertaker stares him down. Batista's theme hits and the World Heavyweight Champion comes out do do the exact same as the other two World Champions.

A great suspense and tension was in the ring as Undertaker stared down all three individuals, looking like he was going to choose Bladewolf but suddenly he chooses...BATISTA! Batista raises the World Heavyweight Championship as the two WrestleMania opponents stare each other down while Bladewolf and Lashley took a step back.

Since Undertaker's decision was made, Shawn Michaels' DX music hit and he said he couldn't help but notice that with Undertaker's decision, that leaves tge WWE Champion without an opponent for Wrestlemania. Randy Orton's music hit and he came out saying that he was challenging Bladewolf for a title shot at Wrestlemania. He said he wasn't asking for it, he was demanding it.

Edge's music hit and he came out to the bottom of the ramp. Edge said like Taker and Bladewolf, he had never lost at Wrestlemania and he took precedence over everyone. He said he didn't need to ask permission for a title shot, that it was his god given right to a title match regardless if anyone liked it or not.

Mr. McMahon's came out and asked what the hell we were doing in this 'god forsaken corn field' in the middle of Iowa. He said Bladewolf and Batista were both challenged, but Bobby Lashley wasn't. Therefore if someone on RAW stepped forward, he'd defend his belt tonight. He said the Bladewolf situation was a mess though, and it needed to be figured out. He said tonight it'd be Randy Orton v. Edge v. Shawn Michaels, a triple threat match to face the Bladewolf at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship.

McMahon said he wasn't going to drop thousands of dollars onto all these people, but he said the triple threat match was 'real value'. That said, Vince went backstage and everyone left except Batista and the Undertaker.

Batista went to leave the ring but turned around to face the Deadman instead. Batista stared Taker down but then got chokeslammed right out of his boots. Taker's statement was a bit bigger than Batista's. RAW went to commercial as he left his WrestleMania opponent lying there.

Backstage

Maria was backstage after the commercial break. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my boyfriend and the WWE Champion, the Bladewolf." The crowd pops as the Bladewolf walks into view with the WWE Championship around his waist and the World Tag Team Championship on his left shoulder. "Bladewolf, baby, I wanted to get your thoughts on your match at No Way Out and the Triple Threat match. And I also wanted to get your thoughts on Bloodwolf returning last Monday night and reuniting the Wolfpack with Jackal only for it to be a set up with Bloodwolf attacking Jackal."

Bladewolf smirks. "First off, I look forward to No Way Out. A match like that is big. I could be teaming up with my WrestleMania 23 opponent or not. If I do, then it's WrestleMania Main Event vs WrestleMania Main Event. SmackDown vs RAW. And this isn't the games, this is brand warfare. Though I promise, that it's RAW who'll win at No Way Out."

"Well, what about the Undertaker?" Maria asked, causing a frown to come onto Bladewolf's face before he shrugged.

"He's made his decision to face Batista. I don't need to worry about my brother until No Way Out. As for Bloodwolf returning and his issues with Jackal...that's their business not mine. As long as they don't get in my way between now and WrestleMania, then I won't have a problem with either of them. Jackal turned on me last year because of jealousy. I don't know if the Wolfpack will ever be brought together again. And besides, just like Shawn, I don't trust anybody else to be World Tag Team Champion with me except for the Wolfpack and my brothers."

"Last question, if Shawn wins, how will you feel about going one on one with him?" Maria asked.

"It'll be a match that sure as hell deserves to be in the list of great WrestleMania matches of this decade. I faced Shawn once before but that was a Triple Threat and it was my very first WrestleMania, one that I Main Scented and I will be in the Main Event once again this year. The second WrestleMania I will be Main Eventing. If Shawn wins, then he better bring vintage Shawn Michaels to face me and not DX or I will beat him easily."

With a kiss to Maria's lips, Bladewolf walked away. "Good luck against Melina in your title match tonight."

Later

It was the Triple Threat Main Event. The opportunity to face the Bladewolf at WrestleMania 23 for the WWE Championship on the line. Michaels dove into the ring and Orton and Edge came right at him. The two stomped away on his body and put a pretty mean beat-down on him before tossing him through the ropes to the floor. The two spent some time arguing before the show went to commercial break.

*After commercial break*,

The show came back to Edge and HBK going at it. Edge hit a back suplex while Randy Orton rolled around on the outside of the ring. Edge whipped Michaels who drop kicked Orton through the ropes and then hit a Lou Thesz press before whaling away on him on the mat. Edge reversed the hold and hit a nasty boot to the face on HBK before planting him with a back breaker and going for a quick cover attempt.

Edge hit a body slam and went to the buckles but HBK cut him off. Edge threw him off before Orton tossed HBK into the buckles, crotching Edge on the buckles and laying out HBK. Orton hit his inverted back breaker and then gave a garvin stomp to HBK.

Michaels and Orton exchanged blows a little bit before Orton connected with a big European upper cut, flooring him. Orton gathered HBK and hit a standing drop kick and went for a cover but HBK kicked out. Orton continued with the Euro uppercuts, but HBK got a roll up. Orton kicked out and immediately RKO'd HBK. He went for the cover but Edge dragged him off.

Orton and Edge stared each other down. They shook hands before going at each other. Orton hit some blows before Edge caught him with a boot to the face. Orton went for an RKO but Edge pushed him off and went for a spear but Orton leap frogged him. The two both went for clotheslines and connected, leaving both laid out.

HBK got back into the ring and amped up the crowd. He began tuning up the band. Edge ducked under the kick and Orton caught it. Edge came through and hammered Orton with a spear, sending HBK careening to the corner. Edge turned around only to get cold cocked by sweet chin music. HBK covered Orton for the 1, 2, 3!

Shawn's theme plays before the Bladewolf walks out down to the ring and gets in HBK's face and raises the title. It's official. The Bladewolf vs Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 23.

Undertaker and Batista soon arrive and stare down their No Way Out opponents as RAW goes off the air.

And that's it for this chapter. Bladewolf will face Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 23. Jackal and Bloodwolf will also fight each other at WrestleMania, but will it be for the ECW Championship if Jackal defeats Lashley at No Way Out? Find out in the next few chapters.
