Scene 12
(Dream sequence)
"I'm pathetic, why am I even alive?" Kaiya wondered.
Everything around her was dark.
She didn't want to be stuck in her mind.
"Kaiya?" she heard a voice.
This voice was familiar.
Minato?
"Kaiya is that you, you've grown so much!" Minato appeared right in front of her.
Kaiya gasped and quickly stood up to hug him.
Minato's hug tightened and then he looked at her.
"Wow you're beautiful!' he chuckled, 'What are you doing here though?" he asked confused.
"What do you mean, isn't this my mind?" she asked in return.
Minato wondered and then looked around. "Oh, I suppose so…' he grew gloomy, 'Kaiya, why is it so dark?"
Kaiya looked down, "I don't know…"
"Minato, I messed up." she began to cry, "Orochimaru is back and I let the Third Hokage down."
Minato gasped.
"I just can't…." whimpering.
Just then he slapped her. "What are you a weakling?' he scoffed, 'I trained you better than that, what a disappointment!" and like that he vanished.
Kaiya shuddered.
No that wasn't the Minato she knew.
That wasn't him.
But if that was?
She failed.
"Will people ever recognize me? Me, Kaiya, my true self. How do they interpret me?"
"Fake daughter! Fake daughter!" yelled some kids.
Kaiya flinched.
"Who are you anyway?" asked a random voice.
"I don't know." replied softly by Kaiya.
"You don't know, how pathetic." another voice went that sounded like Sasuke's.
No.
It was Itachi's.
"Itachi, is that you?" she got up walking slowly.
Looking.
Searching.
"Yeah, what's it to you?"
"Itachi, where are you? Why did you leave? You didn't… you didn't even say goodbye." she cried.
"Quit crying you crybaby." this was Ms. Kushina's voice.
"K-Kushina?" Kaiya stuttered.
"Always crying, driving me nuts! Why Minato brought you to our house I have no clue. I wanted you gone." crossing her arms.
"But you… you said I was family..?"
"Ha!' Kushina laughed, 'Only to have you stop crying, good grief."
"The Third Hokage is dead Kaiya." rang another.
Kushina disappeared and Kaiya turned around.
It was Kakashi holding the Third's dead body.
She sank to her knees.
"I didn't mean to… I tried! I really tried!" she yelled crying.
"Not hard enough.' Kakashi whispered. He got up and grabbed her arms pushing her to the ground. 'You're weak, see!"
"No! No, I'm not! I just…" she didn't know how to defend herself.
It was true she was weak.
Everyone knew it.
She was then laying down all alone in the darkness.
Hugging herself crying.
A kid again.
"Oh little bird, you're crying." he slithered.
Orochimaru.
Back in that room.
He brushed her hair off her face.
"Let Orochimaru sensei make you feel better." touching her arm.
He felt slimy.
"No." she whimpered.
He wouldn't stop.
"No." she repeated.
Just then Orochimaru gasped.
….
"What in the world?" Orochimaru got off of Kaiya.
She pushed him off with a gust of wind chakra.
"I said No!" she yelled.
Her hands then made a symbol and she summoned a wolf.
Moro.
Goddess of the Wolves.
"Lightning blaze!" yelled Kaiya and Moro turned into a beast shadowed in lightning.
Moro went for a jump and bit Orochimaru.
Swinging him like a ragdoll.
Just then he turned into mud and slipped away.
"No!" clenched Kaiya.
Grabbing her sword again and going after Orochimaru herself.
But he grabbed her wrist and pushed her down.
His snakes went to bind Moro.
"Hmmm, perhaps another time little bird? I'm sorry but I have to go now." he knelt down and kissed her.
She felt his slithering tongue go down her throat.
"Ah the cursed mark I gave you still lies, I'm glad to know that." he smiled.
The sealed walls then went down and his lackeys went to grab him and disappeared.
Anbu went to chase after them but failed.
Moro went to Kaiya, who laid on the ground motionless.
"Princess you have to get up." her muzzle nudged Kaiya's shoulder.
Kaiya stared aimlessly at the sky.
She failed.
The Third Hokage was dead.
Orochimaru was still alive and escaped.
Kaiya was alive.
She shouldn't be.
The Third Hokage should be alive instead.
"Kaiya…" a voice came.
Kakashi.
"Thank you Moro." he nodded. "I got it from here." picking Kaiya up.
Kaiya then closed her eyes and tears fell silently.
