"Get off me." Shadowy said. Ko stayed locked in the hug. "GET OFF!" His voice boomed, scaring Ko a bit.

"Professor..I know you're in there. I know you can fight this, don't let him take over." Ko said. "Shut your damn mouth, he's not coming back." Shadowy stated. "We can fix this Professor. What happened isn't your fault! Please..Dad!" Ko hugged him tighter and started to mutter again.

"You are loved and appreciated, you are loved and appreciated, you are-" He was cut off when he felt arms wrap around him. He looked up, and saw Venomous crying. "You're wrong. It is my fault, but I want to fix it..I want to be free." He said. "Professor.." Ko started to cry as well.

The door shot open, and Boxman ran inside. "PV!? Whats going on I heard-" He froze. Boxman stared at them in shock, they were both unconscious. Venomous was holding Ko in a hug, and both had tears in their eyes.

"Is he waking up?"

"I think so!"

Venomous opened his eyes, Ko and Boxman were sitting over him. "You're awake!" Ko beamed. "What..happened..?" Venomous sat up, and looked around. They were in a bedroom, probably Boxman's.

"We found out that you have an alter ego named Shadowy Figure who's been taking over you life and he's the main reason you did all those horrible things to us." Ko said. Venomous blinked, Ko seemed so casual saying all of that.

"Did he fight you.." Venomous examined Ko, he had bandages on one of his arms and a few bruises. "Yeah, but I'm fine!" Ko smiled. Venomous gave a halfhearted smile, then stared at the floor.

"Where did Shadowy even come from..?" Ko asked. "Probably the experiments. It makes everything more clear, your mom didn't lie and neither did I. It just doesn't make sense..why didn't she come back..?" Venomous said.

"She ran out looking for me, I guess she spent those few days trying to do it. There would be no point to go home if there's nothing waiting for you." Ko said.

He remembered what happened when he was taking out the trash. "That power..it was Shadowy trying to take over. He was going to hurt Tko, because he was no longer on your side."

Everything was much more clear to them both. Knowing all of it didn't make anything better though.

"I want to get rid of him." Venomous said. "But..how?" Ko asked. "I don't know how, but I'll find a way." Venomous looked at Ko. "Can you help me?"

Ko stared in shock. Venomous was asking for help, but why him. "Why..? Can't you get help from him?" Ko pointed at Boxman. "No. You understand this more than me, together we can try to find a way to do it." Venomous said.

It was true, but their situations were different. Tko was made out of Ko's negative emotions, but Shadowy is made from experiments. Thinking about it, getting rid of Shadowy could be easy.

"But..it seems like it'd take a while to figure this out. We need to find out what we have to do, then find a way to put that plan into action. Relying on just me isn't the best option.." Ko said.

"Could I also help..?" They looked at Boxman. "How can you help?" Venomous asked. "Well, you two can stay here and work out what you need to do. You'll most likely need a machine, I can build that for you." Boxman said.

"Machine..a machine that can separate us. What would happen after, would he be a person?" Venomous said. "I don't think so, but if he ends up being a person we can kick his butt!" Ko said.

Venomous chuckled, and Ko started to think. "But..how would this work out. I would have to go in and out from being home, then going to school, then coming here. Everything I have to do would just get in the way of this." He said.

"This..may sound horrible, but you're going to have to stay here with me if we wanna get this done." Venomous said. "What...? I can't..I'm sure there's a way I can manage.." "Ko, I can tell you want to get this done as fast as possible, correct?" Venomous cut him off.

"I do..and I know leaving everything would help. But what about everyone I care about, what if they don't want me to leave?" Ko said. "It's not going to be forever, and you won't even be that far away. If they want to visit they can." Venomous said.

They got quiet. "Let me think about it, I need to talk to Tko about all of this too." Ko said. Venomous nodded, and Ko smiled. "See ya."

Ko walked back out of Boxmore, and saw Fink. "Tko! Where'd you go!?" She shouted. Ko ran up to her, and she stopped. "Ko! What happened, where's Tko?" Fink asked. "Nothing bad, Tko is just taking a break." Ko said.

"Why did he run off like that..?" She asked. "I don't really know, but I'm glad he did." Ko said, then started to walk back to the plaza. Fink was confused, but shook it off.

When they got home, Ko sat on his bed in silence. Fink wanted to ask if he was okay, but didn't want to make him upset in the process. After a while, Ko laid down and shut his eyes.

When he woke up, he was in the house. He looked around, Tko wasn't there. "Tko..?" He looked around the house, nothing. "Come on Tko! We need to talk about something important!" Ko shouted.

Suddenly, the covers on Tko's bed started to move. He lifted them, and saw Tko with his arms crossed. "How did I miss you.." Ko pushed the covers to the side, and Tko sat up.

"Are you gonna do it?" He asked. "You already know..?" Tko nodded, and grumbled. "I don't want to admit it, but everything Venomous said was true. You can't let unimportant things like school get in the way of something this important." Tko said.

"Are you only saying that because of school?" Ko asked. "No. I'm saying it because I wanna get rid of Shadowy too. He ruined everyone's life, not just us." Tko said. "I don't know..getting rid of him just seems so..harsh." Ko said.

"It's what he deserves." Tko stated. Ko got quiet, everything Tko said seemed horrible. Ending something, ending a person..it was brutal. Even if Shadowy himself was horrible, it wasn't right to Ko.

"Do we really have to leave..?" Ko asked. "I don't wanna, but we have to. I dread working with him, but we have to. All we want is one thing, for it to all be over, and to achieve that goal we do whatever it takes." Tko stated.

"But what about Fink..Mr. Gar..Mommy." Ko said. "They'll understand, and like He said..we won't be far." Tko said. They both wanted the same thing, so Ko agreed.

"So it's decided?" Tko asked. Ko nodded.

"And..done!"

Fink was at Dendy's place. They were finishing the final touches to Fink's collar. "Yay!" Fink cheered. Dendy helped Fink put it on, then explained how it worked.

"That hole is where you insert the glorb, after that it sends the energy throughout your body and helps you access turbo!" Dendy said. Fink nodded, she would be testing out it later. She hugged Dendy and thanked her for all the help.

"Okay, I have to go now. I kinda left Ko all by himself, see ya!" Fink waved goodbye, and ran home. She was excited again, they've been working on this for weeks now. Hopefully something like this would cheer them up.

She pushed the door open, and saw Tko sitting on the couch. "Tko! I've got something to show-" "We need to talk." He cut her off. "Um..okay." She shut the door, then sat next to him. "What's up?"

He stared down. "Me and Ko..we're going to Boxmore." He said. "..For what..?" Fink asked. "I..it's complicated. I need to help my dad with something important."

Fink started to become scared. "Just for today..?" She asked. Tko didn't answer, and she stood up. "Tko.." "I don't know how long." He said. "What do you mean you don't know how long..?"

"We have to do a lot of stuff, and it's gonna take time." Tko said. "Well you don't need to leave.." Fink said. "Life is gonna get in the way, I have to push all of that aside. This is important, and it's gonna benefit everyone."

"So you're just gonna leave!? You cant! Everyone will be sad..I'll be..sad." Fink started to tremble. "I'm leaving for myself as well. I'm so scared..I'm scared to be around everyone. If I stay while he's still around, you'll get hurt..just like Mom." Tko said.

"He..?" Fink thought to herself. It was too sudden, she didn't want him to leave. "How long until you go..?" She asked. He looked at his phone, then back at her. "Few minutes." He said.

That hurt even more. She thought she would be coming home to make him happy, but he was leaving. Carol is still recovering, and now Tko was leaving. "Please..please don't leave." She said.

"Don't be stubborn..please." Tko said. "It's not stubborn! You cant leave, I don't wanna be alone!" She shouted. "Stop being selfish." He said. "Selfish? I'm not being selfish!"

Tko stood up, and glared at her. "YOU ARE BEING SELFISH! I'M DOING THIS TO PROTECT YOU, I WANNA MAKE SURE WHAT HAPPENED TO MOM DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN, BUT YOU'RE TRYING TO STOP ME AGAIN!" He shouted.

"That wasn't your fault! You cant prevent stuff like that from happening!" Fink said. "Fink. If I don't do this, Shadowy's power is gonna grow. We have to stop him while we still have to chance..we have to.." Tko said.

"Shadowy..why are you talking about him..?" She asked. "Because..Shadowy is my dad's alter ego." Tko said. "Then why are you helping him..you've said so many times that you've hated him. He's even more horrible than before, why are you still helping him?"

"He didn't know Shadowy existed. We're gonna be looking for a way to separate them, once Shadowy's gone everything will be more safe. I know leaving is stupid, but I have to." He said.

"You're right, it is stupid! That's why you should stay, please..PLEASE!" She cried. Tears began to form in her eyes, and she stared at the floor. "It's so stupid..but do you think I'd even be able to spend time with you? Most of the time I'd be working and probably be tired. It would be so boring to try and hang out with me." He tried to cheer her up.

"I don't care if you're tired..I don't care if you're asleep all the time, I just don't want you to leave. Just knowing that you're still around is good enough for me. Entering an empty house..I don't want that." She began to sob, and Tko pulled her into a hug.

"I know, I'd hate it too. I need to do this though..please understand.." Tears started to form in his eyes. Why was this so sad, he would be seeing her once this was all over. Then again, they don't know how long it would take.

It could take weeks, months, years. He didn't know how different things would be when he came back, or if Carol would even be around. Everyone would have peace since Shadowy would be tamed, and everyone would be safe. That's all he wanted.

"Hey Fink.." Tko muttered. She didn't answer. "I know we aren't related..but you're the best sister ever, to me and Ko." He said. She started to cry louder, and he rubbed her back.

For a while now, she seemed like a sister to him. She was important to him, almost as important as Carol. That motivated him, he needed to do this for them.

They heard a knock on the door, and blinked. "It's me, Venomous."

Tko sniffled, and wiped his tears away. He looked back at Fink, she was still crying. "Hey, I'll be back soon." He said. She looked at him, and nodded. "Promise..you'll be your usual happy self while I'm gone?" He asked.

She nodded, and smiled at him. "See you soon."

He smiled at her, and they hugged one last time. He hoped that they would be back soon, and he hoped that Carol would be alright. When it's all over, he wants to give her a big hug, he wants to hug them all.

He opened the door, and Venomous was standing there. "Ready?" He asked. Tko nodded, and Venomous walked back to his car. Tko looked at Fink, she smiled. He waved goodbye, and followed Venomous to the car.

On the way to Boxmore, they were silent. Tko stared out the window and watched the sunset. He sighed, hoping this would be over soon.

Ko had taken over again. He was sitting outside, thinking about everything.

"Fink was really sad, I feel bad." Ko said. "I know, me too. I was kind of a jerk to her.." Tko said. "No matter how hard it gets, we're gonna do this!" Ko cheered.

"Are..you okay Ko?" Ko turned around, and saw Venomous walking towards him. "Oh yeah! I'm talking to Tko." He said. "Oh."

Ko felt a bit awkward around Venomous. They were both silent, neither knowing what to say. "Professor, why didn't you stop." Ko asked.

Venomous raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" He asked. "All you focused on was trying to unleash Tko back then. Why didn't you just stop, couldn't you see everything you did affected us in a horrible way?" Ko asked.

"I.." "Don't try to blame this on Shadowy either. He may have influenced you to do it, but you still did it. You never even tried to stop, why.." His voice had so much sadness in it. He was holding all this in for a while now.

"I know I should've stopped. Every day we got closer though, I just kept pushing you. My excuse of "wanting you to be better than me" doesn't help my case either. Once this is all over, you're gonna leave again, correct?"

Ko nodded. "It'll be okay, because this time you get to leave without Shadowy overreacting. After those 6-11 years of life you lost, I wouldn't hold you back anymore. You deserve to live freely." Venomous said.

Ko felt a bit more..happy. They all wanted the same thing. It made Ko more relived that Venomous would leave him alone, and he could finally live his life without fear.

"Just one more question. How are you always able to keep a smile on your face, after everything?" Venomous asked. What a question, it threw Ko off guard. He stared at the sky, and smiled.

"I remember something Mommy told me when I was a baby. I didn't understand it before, but now it helps a lot." Ko said. "What was it?" Venomous asked.

"No matter how hard things may seem, always stay positive, because at the end of the day there will always be something good waiting for you."

Venomous smiled. "Your mother was always good at motivation." He said. Ko nodded in agreement. He hoped that she would recover well, because once this was all over he couldn't wait to see her again.
