Notes: Okay this chapter is really dark. You may need tissues.

"I don't like this," Ryan said as he checked his holster a few days later. He looked at Steve who stood next to him away from others. "It's been too quiet since the last attack. We haven't seen the Rangers since then either." He knew the Rangers were recovering from a battle but he didn't want to worry Steve as Steve had found out that his own son was a Ranger. There also could be people around that didn't know and could hear the conversation.

"Silence is never a good sign," Steve agreed as he looked around their camp. Since the school had been destroyed, Bill Clinton had ordered the evacuation of anyone that remained that wasn't a guardsman or a police officer and put the travel ban to Angel Grove back up.

"The Rangers will be back." Kimberly said from next to them. She and a few others had managed to stay behind. Ryan had told them that they were strong fighters. "They always are here right?" She said noticing there were people watching them.

Ryan nodded. He just wanted more information on what the Rangers and Zordon were doing to save the ones on the moon. He was worried about all of them especially his son.

Vile looked at everyone crowded into the small space. He knew they could have done this from somewhere else but he wanted them to see this. Also, if the spell hadn't taken on Jason, he'd need a backup plan. Zack was a good second choice.

"Hold him," he instructed two of the humans next to Jason. Darkonda held him by the shoulders as well.

Vile looked at Zedd and then moved his hand and removed the sleeping spell on Tommy.

Tommy's eyes flew open and for one split second he felt like he was floating before he fell onto a hard ground. He wondered if this was a new nightmare. He had only been in that one place and then everything fell away. Maybe this was it.

He started to sit up and stopped. Something felt really wrong. His body didn't feel right. It was a sensation he hadn't felt since he permanently lost his Green Ranger Powers.

He was cut off from the morphing grid. It was what he had been wondering before. It left him feeling so empty inside.

The severity of the situation became more apparent when Zedd looked down at him. He was suddenly yanked up to his feet. He saw Jason and Zack standing in a corner and a figure who was lurking in the shadows that he couldn't tell who or what it was.

"Leave," Vile ordered whoever was in the shadows. "Now!" He thundered.

Tommy heard someone running away. He couldn't see who it was but then again, he saw a lot of figures he didn't recognize. The room seemed to be filled and he was sitting in the middle of it all. He looked pleadingly at Jason. He had no idea if Jason was under a spell or not. He saw that Jason was being held back by several beings. Were they human? Monsters? He had no idea as they were garbed in black from head to toe.

He was getting a little dizzy looking around him. He turned his attention back to in front of him where Vile and Zedd were standing. He also had to work hard on not collapsing.

He stared defiantly at Vile and Zedd. He was not going to go out without a fight. He wasn't going to show that he knew he had no chance. He didn't look at Jason again he just said in a barely audible voice "so you need an army of people to take me out?"

Zedd laughed in his face. "We don't need an army. In your state even a Tenga could take you out. As for everyone else, they are here to watch the fall of Tommy Oliver."

"If I could I'd have your father watch it but I don't have the time," Vile said. He turned and looked in the direction of where Jason was. He said a few things and Jason's eyes flashed a bright red.

Tommy saw it and gulped hard. He was definitely not going to be getting help from Jason or anyone. He got into a fighting position ready to take them all on.

No one made a move towards him. He looked around at all of them waiting for someone to make the first move. He didn't have the energy to make the first move. Someone, a monster it appeared, made a move towards him. That one split second distraction cost Tommy as his attention was diverted. He didn't see what was happening with Jason.

He suddenly let out a cry of pain as something connected with his shoulder hard. He put a hand up and felt blood. He turned around to see Jason standing there in his power ranger suit holding Saba. How did they get the powers to Jason? He thought they were gone. He remembered trying to get Saba from Jason once but he hadn't been totally sure what was going on and why he was following Jason and Rajon around. This was before he met Dimitria and Dulcea who told him what was happening to him. Had he missed Jason getting the powers? He couldn't remember seeing Jason in that suit but his memories from being a part of the morphing grid were all muddled. His best memories were before and after he got out of the morphing grid.

He wondered briefly if he could call Saba. He tried to move his arm to bring Saba but nothing append. It made sense since he was so cut off from the morphing grid. He was sure he wouldn't be able to call for his Ninjetti powers.

He was kicked from behind by the monster that had distracted him and he turned to face him. That was when he felt a stinging pain in his other arm. Finally, he turned his full attention to Jason. "You don't have to do this Jason," he said wishing his voice was stronger. He never did talk loudly but with being so weak he just couldn't talk loudly.

"I must," Jason said. he held Saba up and Tommy reached his hands to protect himself. He thought Jason was going to cut him in the leg or something. He wasn't prepared for Jason cutting his throat.

Tommy grabbed his throat and feebly tried to kick Jason away. Jason just swatted him away sending him falling to the ground. Tommy reached up another hand and felt the blood on his lips.

"Finish him Jason." Vile said from somewhere behind him.

Tommy looked at Jason with wide eyes. Saba was looking in his direction.

"I'm sorry Tommy." His once enchanted sword said to him. for a brief moment he thought it was Jason, but Jason he knew the voice of Saba.

He looked at Jason waiting for whatever Jason was going to do.

Jason looked down at the eyes of his best friend who were staring back at him with resignation knowing he no longer had the strength to fight back. What was he doing? He couldn't do this.

Set him free. A voice echoed in his head.

His eyes flashed a moment and Tommy whispered something through his bloody lips. Jason didn't hear what it was. His mind told him the former Power Ranger was begging for his life.

He took the sword and made a stab at him but Tommy somehow had the wherewithal to roll out of the way.

Zack grabbed Tommy by the hair. Vile had switched his attention to Zack's spell. He was starting to feel drained by having to hold the mind's of so many.

Tommy struggled in Zack's grip but two other arms held him still. Jason plunged the sword.

"Take him home," Vile said to Jason letting the holds go.

Jason looked at Vile for one brief second and down at his best friend. What had he done?

Back in Angel Grove, Kimberly was talking to one of the female guardsmen about gymnastics. It turned out that the woman had been a competitive gymnast until she lost interest after high school and joined the National Guard.

There was a scream from out in one of the fields. The two girls exchanged looks before running out to see what it was.

Ryan also followed them along with several other officers. He froze as he saw Jason standing there not covered in the dark clothes that many of Vile's newest army wore to hide who they were. He was standing there in civilian clothes holding something in his arms. He started to step forward when Steve threw an arm out to stop him.

Kim gasped as she saw Jason throw whatever he was holding to the ground before teleporting away.

Ryan tentatively took a few steps forward. When no one else appeared he and the others hurried over to where Jason had stood.

Kimberly let out a shriek before falling to her knees. Ryan looked down and saw Tommy laying there bleeding all over. He reached down and picked him up. Someone had thrown a jacket at him to try to stop the bleeding that was coming from his throat.

Tommy looked up at him with a faraway look in his eyes. "D…" He tried to say.

"Don't say anything." Ryan said as pushed the jacket down firmly.

"Dad," Tommy rasped out.

"I've got you." Ryan said looking around wondering why someone didn't teleport Tommy. They had to be seeing this.

"I l…"

"Tommy," Ryan said trying to shush his son.

Tommy's eyes filled with tears. "Love…"

"I love you too." Ryan said.

"It's finally over." He gasped out. He let out a choked sob.

Ryan pulled his son up even more and held him tightly. He wasn't so concerned about stopping the bleeding. In his heart he knew that his son was dying. It was then when everything evaporated in the feeling of being teleported. When he landed on the new Command Center floor, he looked and found himself surrounded by the Rangers, he looked down at his son's face and saw that he was gone.

Okay so the next fic will be coming out soon. I don't know what my obsession with killing Tommy in stories is. Jason and Zack are going to feel the ramifications of their action when this is all over. Be on the lookout for the third (and final!) fic of the series.
