And It's back! It's my writing day, I decided. So, here we go. I'm sorry for falling short again this past month and a bit, it through off my planning period because of how I fast tracked the previous chapter. But now its good to go! Also, some news at the bottom of this post that'll change some stuff over on Fanfiction. If you just read this story on Spacebattles, feel free to ignore it.

I own none of the properties I write about here. I don't claim to, nor have I ever. What I do own is the time I use to write however, and any bits thrown towards me help me write for longer, as well as eat while doing so. Available here and here, or my profile for those curious, are links to my P A treon, and the second is to a fund, for commissions or if you think I could use a little something extra.

And we good now.

Chapter 11: High-Ho, High-Ho, Off To Film we Go

OR

Lights, Camera, Disappointment Part 4

Time came and went between the planned trip to Studio Chateau, the film lot the school had acquired tickets to, and the excitement was building in the air. Even Izuku felt a good amount of it, at the thought of seeing hero's inspire others, even if it was just on a stage or set. The effects they had still rang true after all.

But that was secondary. The main thing Izuku was focusing on, was what he and the police had shared with each other two days earlier.

*Flashback*

"What do you mean Hawkmoth will attack on Saturday!" Izuku hissed into his new cellphone. Was there something he had missed? Did they find some new clue!

On the other side of the phone, Victor hissed at the sudden yell as he moved his own phone away from his face for a moment, and bringing it back when he began hearing the murmuring start to echo from the other end.

"Listen, Izuku, this is one of the few solid things we have on the guy so far. Every Saturday, without fail, Hawkmoth, Papillon, whatever the fuck he wants to be called, he does it on a Saturday. Sometimes he does others, sometimes just the once, but it's something if nothing else. We don't know if it's part of some neurosis or he's just at work the rest of the time, but it's definitely something we need you knowing." Victor explained calmly and clearly, making Izuku huff for a moment as he processed this information, trying to draw a timeline in his head.

"That...that's just stupid though. Why would he do this specifically once every week? Is there a recharge time after each 'Akumatization'? Is it lower or higher with certain people, and is that why he can sometimes to multiple? Or is distance the issue, and he has to search farther for candidates..." Izuku mused out loud for a moment, still doing his crunches even as Victor himself sighed.

"We agree with the first bit, but the rest we still need to find out. Anyway, what about on your end? Find anything useful?"

And now it was Izuku's turn to sigh.

*Flashback Over*

While it was simple information Izuku was able to share, mostly about his classmates and if there had been any residual effects or issues from the Akumatizations they'd suffered, none of it was really what either of them was looking for. It made Izuku antsy, just...going to school while things happened around him. It was a complete departure from what he had become used to.

It also made him feel guilty for making the police cover for his boarding in the meantime, but that was a different issue.

With several deep breaths to clear his head though, his morning work-out was completed as always and it was off to his school for the special day. He would be ready for any sign of danger, and if it didn't happen, he would enjoy the day.

So, it was with a bright smile and his case filled with both regular and Hero supplies that Izuku started his day!

*-MIRACULOUS~*

Marinette was honestly super excited to be visiting Studio Chateau! Oh sure, she thought Captain Crusader was an alright show, if a bit samey after the third season, but it was the costume department she was really interested in! Ooh, 35 years of threadwork, costumes, and hundreds of designers hired and collaborating to make scary monsters, shining hero's, and already stylish actors pop right out of the screen!

"A fabric-dream, pin-stuck paradise~." Marinette lightly sang as she saw Nino and Alya laughing as they walked over.

"Hey, guess who's got two thumbs and is excited for the tour~!" Nino crowed as he finally came to a stop, aiming some pointing fingers at both Alya and Marinette, who both made exaggerated thinking faces.

"Hmmm...I'm gonna say Max!" Alya declared as she pointed off to the side, where Max was proudly standing on his desk showing off his 'Crusader Helm' that was too big for his head he was bringing to get signed.

Nino pouted for a moment, before bracing back up.

"Well, yes, but who else!" Nino tried again, this time poking both his cheeks with his thumbs.

"Let's see...Kim!" Marinette snickered slightly as she looked over Nino's shoulder as the athlete had taken off his shirt at this point to show off a full frontal painting of Captain Crusader mid-battle pose.

Nino spun around and gawked at the sight, before slumping over in despair.

"That's...that's so cool. All I was bringing was snacks and a backpack, what kind of superfan am I?" He muttered to himself as he poked the ground, even as all three of them broke into chuckles and giggles after a moment, returning to normal.

"Ahh, seriously though, this'll be great! Heard ya singing your little sound there, so I'm sure we'll sneak through the design room at some point. Me though? I want to see the action! The sights, the sounds, the thrill of monsters facing heroes!" Nino dramatically announced, drawing attention from the class before seeing he was just expositing.

"You...get it's just a show, right?" Adrian asked his friend from behind him, making Nino whirl around again and Marinette freeze in place.

"Don't crush my dreams before they even start!" Nino wailed at his male friend even as Adrian awkwardly patted his back.

"WellgottagobyAdrianloveyoumissyou- BYE!" Marinette blabbered for a moment before powerwalking away with Alya dragged behind her, leaving the two boys to blink and try to understand what she said. As they failed this, they shrugged and went on with their conversation about fantasy versus reality.

After going a fair distance away, Marinette stopped and felt her rapidly beating heart finally start to calm down, even as Alya watched it all with a calmly amused look.

"Girl, I'd swear you're getting worse these days. You should at least be able to have a conversation with him by now." Alya pointed out, making Marinette squirm in place.

"But, but, I mean...he's ADRIAN, and, I'm...so Marinette." She finished a bit lamely, making Alya giggle again and nudge her with her arm.

"Hey, hey, relax! I'm sure Adrian would love a little Marinette if he gave it a try." Alya joked as Marinette felt her face threaten to go nuclear at the mere suggestion.

"D-D-DON'T SAY THAT ALYA!" Marinette half screamed, half hissed even as her friend just began to laugh harder.

"Woo~, ah, mah girl, you are too wound up. Learn to re~lax. Have some fun! Get some stress out of you. C'mon, we're about to see one of the biggest earners in the designer game! Take the opportunity to enjoy it, and who knows? Maybe you'll get to make a little knight-in-shining armor for Adrian while we're there." Alya teased lightly even as she dragged the red and pouting blue-nette back to her seat.

As she was though, it gave Marinette the perfect opportunity to see the new kid to their class, Izuku, fiddling with his little notebook again, and her thoughts began to wonder about him for the moment, mostly as an excuse to try and forget Alya's super embarrassing insinuations. He seemed like a nice enough kid, always answering questions when asked, even if with a bit of a stutter that she couldn't tell was just from the French being used or actual nerves, but he was friendly enough for a boys night apparently. The only real weird things about him she had seen was when he asked all the questions about Akumatization.

It was a bit of a normal thing, like what it felt like, if they remembered anything, if anything stuck afterward, but there were other questions to. What caused it, how were they stopped, can it happen again, how long were they Akumatized, where did it happen...with his little book, he felt more like a detective assessing a scene than a student asking questions for curiosity's sake, but then it went away and people kind of forgot about it.

Something about it...made Marinette uneasy about the transfer student. Not as a worry he might be Hawkmoth, that would just be too big a stretch, but as to why he was asking the questions in such a way. Hopefully, it was just an odd feeling, and Marinette was just overthinking something about a possible new friend.

"Alright, Class! Who's ready to tour!" Ms. Bustier gleefully called, casting all other thoughts from Marinette's mind.

*-Miraculous~*

"Okay Gary, we got two tours coming through today before we start shooting for the new season. We'll be having you do a 'play-fight' with the younger crowd and a 'behind the scenes' interview about Captain Crusader for the School kids. Sounds good?" Paul explained to his current star, who sank back into his chair as he groaned and opened a beer.

"Sure, sure, sounds great." Gary agreed after taking a sip, opening his eyes and nodding even as Paul had already closed the door to his trailer, leaving Gary alone yet again.

Once he was alone, Gary didn't stop the sneer that came to his lips.

"Feh. A great 'Hero' dealing with brats. The things I do for money." Gary broke out to himself, before spitting off to the side, and finishing off his drink, adding it to the neat row beside his desk.

"Just a little bit more, and I'll never need to do this stupid shit ever again."

And Gary, at the thought, genuinely smiled.

END OF CHAPTER

And here's the bit for Fanfiction Folks. If this isn't you, feel free to share your thoughts and whatnot.

For Fanfiction. It's taken me a bit of thinking with this story in particular, but I've decided on a course of action. All these little bits I write? Most barely qualify as 'full' chapter compared to what some do, and I mostly do it this way because of my totally justified fear that multiple thousands of words I've written would be deleted. So, here's my solution.

Following the end of this 'episode', 'Lights, Camera, Disappointment', I will instead be posting the combined episode bits into a true single chapter on , while they will remain the usual bits they are on Spacebattles. This way, people who are interested can see me create it as it comes from me, or have it be a full experience when it comes over there. I think this will work, and will take some time to come about anyway. Feel free to share your thoughts about it with me as well, either on the thread, through review, or PM.

Now, I'm off to have a shower. Cheers all.
