Dear Luxa,

At night I stare at my ceiling and wonder how you're getting on with Ripred, with Hazard, what you're doing right at the moment. Just before I fought the Bane outside Regalia's walls, Ripred said you were a distraction for me, and he was right. Like now, you're distracting me from so many things. Like school, how no one will talk to me here because they think I'm weird and creepy. I bet you get a kick out of that. If the Underland is creepy, and you're the Underland to me, that means you're creepy. Then I want to be creepy too.

I wish I could talk to you - about all those stupid things that don't really matter. I just want to know what you think about them. Like if Sandwich didn't take his group down to the Underland for religious reasons, then why? Something political? He was running away from - let's see, something good - he was running from being beheaded for - insulting the colony leader's daughter. For saying that women and men were not so different and they shouldn't be treated different. Because he believed that all beings were equals, and that wasn't a popular thing to say, so to keep his friends alive (they believed like he did), he led them down to where they wouldn't be found.

I have trouble thinking that someone who treated the moles the way he did could be so noble. So that probably wasn't it. Instead, I bet it was something like he wanted to get out of some kind of trouble. That brings us back to him running away from something. What could be so big that he wouldn't want to ever be found? Something that would leave him alive long enough to figure out how the Underland works before leading anybody down there for good?

Maybe he just wanted to be in charge of things, and the Underland was where that could happen. So he took what he could get. America already had its leaders, so he had to go somewhere else where what he wanted wouldn't be challenged.

Don't you ever wonder about things like this?

If you were here or I was there, we could work it out together. I'd like that.

Wondering,

Gregor
