Chapter 11

Galactic Senate, Coruscant, the Coruscant System

Ahsoka woke up with a coughing fit, her lungs full of smoke.

"Oh, man," she groaned, vapor pouring from her mouth. "What happened last night?"

Looking up, she saw that she had fallen unconscious from the smoke filling up her ship's canopy. She rolled over, her entire body aching from tensing up so much.

"Wake... up..." a female voice said, ringing in Ahsoka's head like it came from her imagination.

Begrudgingly, Ahsoka opened her eyes and looked up, her tired eyes seeing the massive form of a blue glowing moth, standing over her like a worried mother.

"Thanks..." she said to the ethereal moth. She stood up slowly, her legs proving to be unsteady.

Mothra's attention was diverted by a loud bark. Ahsoka looked in the same direction to see a white dog with black horns running at her, a clone trooper following.

"Snow!" Ahsoka cheerfully greeted, letting the ram-dog pup jump into her arms, his tongue drenching her face in saliva.

"He was worried sick about you," Veers said, his voice echoing mechanically through his helmet. "He was dancing around the room like he had termites in his fur."

"Thanks, Veers," Ahsoka said, holding the pup close to her body. "I owe you, big time."

"No need, Commander. It's a pleasure to keep an eye on the little bugger."

Their attention was drawn to the battle between Godzilla and Megaguirus. Godzilla pushed the massive dragonfly through a building, leveling it completely and stabbing Megaguirus' back with metal debris. Megaguirus screamed as she swiped her newly healed legs at Godzilla's hide. Godzilla ignored the legs, throwing his opponent to the ground with an angry shriek.

Megaguirus screamed loudly, so loud it hurt Ahsoka's ears. As if by a spell, the many thousands of Meganulon, both nymphs and adults, swarmed around Godzilla, chewing at his thick hide. The giant lizard growled in annoyance as the spines on his back began to glow orange.

"I don't think that's good," Veers noted.

As if she knew what was happening, Mothra took a step towards Ahsoka and Veers, her wings blocking their view of Godzilla and the Meganulon. With a tremendous roar, an explosion of fiery-red energy flew out from Godzilla's body. Mothra's wings protected Ahsoka, Veers and Snow from the expanding ball of energy.

When Mothra moved her smoking wings, Ahsoka and Veers saw the exhausted form of Godzilla, his back bent forward as he breathed heavily. His body was clean of Meganulon.

Without warning, Megaguirus leaped from the rubble and attacked Godzilla. Exhausted and disoriented, Godzilla could do little against Megaguirus.

Mothra screeched at the dragonfly as she flapped her glowing wings, propelling her directly into Megaguirus. The false queen screamed as her body was pummeled by Mothra's mantid legs.

Mothra wouldn't fight alone. Battra, Anguirus, and Rodan all converged on the battle, grabbing a different part of Megaguirus' body; Rodan grabbed her head, Battra grabbed her tail, Anguirus grabbed one of her legs, Mothra grabbed another leg, and Godzilla, with the last of his strength, grabbed Megaguirus' thorax.

Megaguirus screamed and squirmed as her body was torn apart. In one swift motion, her screams suddenly stopped as her body exploded in an explosion of orange liquid. Each Titan held a part of the false queen's body in their mouths.

"Well," Veers began, "that's the last of her."
