Sythe-Elda gets a shoutout from me. I never considered Paul when I wrote the question. So If you said Gabe or Paul you are correct!

Tia woke in the dark. She was lying down with only darkness surrounding her, and felt what she thought was a wooden paneled floor beneath her. Tia sat up, hoping to look some more through the darkness until her head brushed the ceiling as she hunched her shoulder and put her arms out to feel for an exit, but as both hands came upon a rough wall, but as she started to panic. The little air in the box whipping into a frenzy around her as she was panicking, just when she thought she would die from suffocation, one of the walls flew open. Tia sighed in relief, she crawled out of the box only to find a familiar looking kitchen… She saw herself, crawling over to a much cleaner Beryl Grace, who was surrounded by a few friends. They were talking to her earnestly, cooing over the two little girls. One of which just huffed (Thalia) and crawled away. Tia spied a bottle of wine with a red ribbon wrapped around the middle that was sitting on the counter. As soon as she saw the bottle, the dream warped and shifted until she finally landed in the kitchen, again. No one was here, until… Beryl stumbled into the kitchen, her hair a rat's nest and her clothing ratty and overlarge. She glanced longingly at the bottle and muttered under her breath "just for tonight.." Tia opened her mouth to say, do, anything to scream at her mom not to try it. But as she tried to open her mouth, she woke up. For real. Her eyes popped open as someone shook her, she couldn't focus on them at first, her eyes blurry. But she could feel the wind was in a frenzy around her and she was floating a few centimeters above the… bed? Thalia was shaking her as the wind died down, and Tia floated back down on the white bed. She pushed off the covers and sat up, clutching the back of her head.
" head" she groaned. Thalia was standing in front of her, arms crossed, glaring at her.
"You overexerted yourself Tia. You shouldn't do that." She said, still glaring at Tia "What if the hunters weren't here?"
Tia rolled her eyes, which surprised Thalia enough that she stopped glaring at her.
"Who are the hunters?" Tia asked, genuinely curious.
"Your in our tent now"
One of the girls Tia had seen before, stepped forward. The one with the silver circlet resting on her dark locks.
"Um… Hi?" Tia said, shifting back and forth on the bed.
" That's Zoë," Thalia said, with an undercurrent of emotion Tia couldn't recognize.
"Hi Zoë" Tia said awkwardly
The air was a little tense as Tia looked around and saw Annabeth. But…
"Where's Luke?" Tia asked aloud, and the tension in the air multiplied rapidly as Thalia started glaring at Zoë who glared back. Zoë opened her mouth to respond but another voice talked first.
"Your friend is outside, waiting for you." Tia looked towards a young girl with silver eyes and auburn hair.
"Umm… not to be rude, but, Who are you?" Tia asked, now thoroughly confused
The girl with the circlet on her head- Zoë Tia remembered. She frowned at her like she said something wrong, but Tia didn't know what she said wrong, and the lingering effects of the dream were making her a bit on edge. Zoë started forward but the auburn-haired girl held up her hand.
"She just woke up Zoë and the wind was spiraling everywhere, I will let a little rudeness slip" The Girl said, then focused on Tia
"I am Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt"
Tia stared for a second, disbelieving. but... the girl excluded the aura of a goddess. The first thing that came out of her mouth when she realized this was…
"Why are you so short?"
A blush colored her cheeks as she slapped a hand over her mouth, mortified.
Thalia coughed a bit, badly disguising a snicker which caused Zoë to glare again at Thalia.
Ignoring Tia's question, which she was thankful for, Artemis said
"I ask this of all maidens who we meet, and I will ask you this. The Hunters let all young maidens join our ranks, you will be partially immortal and be welcomed with us. Would you join the Hunters?"
Thalia was eyeing them suspiciously, not convinced . "What the catch? " She demanded
"There is always a catch."
"You would have to swear off boys for eternity" Zoë responded.
Tia started. 'That means that we'd leave Luke alone…' she thought
Thalia seemed to agree with her train of thought as she shook her head.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not leaving Luke" She said
"Males will only betray you" She stated.
Tia crossed her arms, glaring at Zoё
" Maybe the male you met betrayed you, but Luke wouldn't," Tia argued, standing up.
She immediately regretted it when her numb legs caused her to stumble a little as she walked over to Annabeth who looked like she agreed wholeheartedly.
Thankfully The Hunters hadn't stolen their stuff. Luke threw them their bags when Thalia stormed out, fuming. Luke, Thalia, Annabeth and Tia looked at each other in the eyes (hard for ADD kids) and made a silent agreement. They would never seperate, ever.
Who is Zoe Nightshade's father?
