Feliciano was back in the rundown church" exactly in the same spot he was when he casted the spell. The priest covered himself up with his sheets and glanced at Lovino and the others who were fast asleep.

"What have I done?"

He whispered to himself, holding his crucifix on his hand and feeling his wet vestment press against his trembling body. The Italian began turning side to side, still unable to process what just happened. Thit it really happen? Or was it just his imagination? Was he really at Ludwig's house and did they really kiss? The brunette blamed it on the German, he was the one to pin him down seductively to then take advantage of him. No, that wasn't exactly what happened because he kissed him back. Did he really just kiss a man? Not really a man since Ludwig was a demon. All this time he thought that his weakness were women, turns out men are also part of it as well. Feliciano couldn't deny that he enjoyed the kiss, although it was very wrong; it just felt right.

"Stop moving around so much, stupid fratello".

Lovino mumbled in his sleep, kicking his brother away and pulling the sheets to his side.

The Italian remained on the cold marble floor, although he couldn't feel the temperature, he assumed that it was cold. He sighted before closing his eyes in an attempt to sleep. Feliciano knew that the next day he would see Ludwig in court, he didn't know what was going to happen there but his only choice was to own up his mistakes. Even if kissing a demon was a mistake, he didn't regret it at all.

"He's not going to hell, Gilbert".

The demon answered to his brother, still laying on the couch, burying his face in cushions.

"The council will find out about this and you know it. They will do anything to find your client guilty just for the pleasure of sending him to hell, you already know this West!"

The Prussian explained, going to the kitchen to grab another beer since the one he had was dropped when he saw his brother making out with the priest.

"I don't know what I was even thinking about".

Gilbert nodded, returning with his cold beer in one hand.

"Exactly, you didn't think, which is highly unlike you, do you have a fever or something?"

He teased, hoping that his brother could cheer up a bit with his silly jokes.

"Don't be foolish brother, demons can't get sick".

A grin appeared on the Albino's face before snatching the cushion on Ludwig's face.

"But they can be lovesick".

The German rolled his eyes. What was Gilbert trying to say? That he was in love with the priest and he will do whatever it was necessary to make sure he goes to heaven? His brother was most likely right.

"So what's your plan?"

Ludwig looked at his brother puzzled.

"What plan?"

The albino demon bursted into laughter.

"The plan to save your little boyfriend from the fires of hell! Unless you want to keep him down there and have him suffer eternally and visit him whenever you want".

Gilbert had a point. The demonic council was going to find out about it no matter what. Their only purpose in the court was to make the lawyer's job more difficult. One needed to have solid evidence to defeat the council. However, the council had their price. It was natural for them to receive bribes so they can change the verdict in one's favor.

"I suppose I can offer the council something in exchange for not revealing that piece of evidence".

The albino remained in silence for a few seconds as he sipped from his beer.

"I don't think they'll be satisfied with just some coins. You see this isn't an ordinary case they can just let go. He's a priest, and the demonic council will have a blast by sending him to hell. If you want to bribe the West, it's going to be on their own terms".

His brother was right, he was going to have to negotiate with them if he follows that plan but was there any other choice?

"It's the most I can do for him, brother".

Gilbert shook his head with a chuckle, being the mischievous demon he was, he had all sorts of bad ideas.

"West, when will you learn the ways of your awesome big brother? This way is much more simpler than battling with some old overpowered demons. Take his brother's soul in exchange of his so he can go to heaven!"

Impossible, there was no way he would take Lovino's soul. Since the first day he met Feliciano, he made it very clear that he would never betray his brother.

"I can't do that. He told me not to".

The Prussian stared at him in confusion. Was his brother really alright?

"So what? You're a demon Ludwig, you can do whatever you please. Since when did you have morals and values? If you want to save the priest that's the only way to".

The German didn't know what to do, why did things have to get so complicated? The case was already a difficult one and now he just made it worst by catching feelings for the human.

"But I can't do that, I need a signed permission with a bloody fingerprint".

Another laughter came from his brother, Ludwig couldn't understand what was so funny. Gilbert suddenly had a scroll on his hands and opened it up, he pointed at the signature of Feliciano and the name was lifted up from the page and he held it on his hand.

"Magic, my dear brother. Use your gifts West".

Ludwig understood that a simple copy and pasting spell could help him make a false document of soul transferring. That way the priest wouldn't have to find out about it until the last minute, where he presents the document to judge and the Italian is immediately sent to heaven.

"I'll fight until the last second but if there's no choice".

The albino patted his brother's back before standing up and walking back to his chamber.

"Now you're talking like a real demon".

The next day was the beginning of the trial, and all the humans were already getting ready to attend court.

"Mon dieu, doesn't anyone carry a hairbrush? i can't go out with my hair tangled like this!"

Francis was shouting and it was still so early, pissing off the Italian gangster.

"Shut the fuck up French bastard, nobody cares about your hair".

The Frenchman gasped, seemingly very offended by Lovino.

"Don't be so rude fratello, your hair is just fine Francis".

The priest tried to calm down the tensions, although he really wasn't in the mood of being a mediator that day.

"Ohonhonhon, thank you father".

Lovino rolled his eyes as he saw Francis sprinting away.

"Are you ready for today?"

Lovi asked his brother. He knew that he had been pretty off since they arrived at the purgatory.

Feliciano shook his head, if only his fratello knew about what happened between him and the lawyer.

"Don't worry father, I'm sure you'll be just fine"

Elizabeta gave him a friendly smile as she walked by.

"Yes father, there's nothing you need to worry about".

The Canadian reassured him, although the American didn't seem to agree.

"I don't know Mattie, this priest must have been in some shady businesses for him to get sent to the purgatory instead of going to heaven directly".

The Italian couldn't argue with Alfred, after all he was right about him.

"We are all sinners after all, including me".

He said humbly, knowing very well that he was a big sinner, perhaps the biggest between all of them.
