Ch. 24: The Winds of the Daughter
I panted heavily as I stare at Coldfront glaring at me, after dodging his Hydro Pump, he glared at me as he huffed angerly, I could see stream exiting his mouth showing that his breath was cold, preparing for an ice attack.
"Coldfront! What the hell man?!" I snapped out, "Why are you attacking me like that?"
"Say another word and I'll freeze that damn tongue of yours!" he snarled back, charging from what I could tell was Ice Beam.
"Dad, stop this!" Carol called out trying to stop her father, only to see him glare over and blast the Ice Beam at the door. I looked in shocked before I notices Carol was pulled back into the house before the door was iced over. I glared over to him, dashing over with Extreme Speed, slamming my fist into his snout, my eyes widen as my full force punch only cause him to slightly stagger.
"What the hell?" I thought, "Before this new strength from the Suicune DNA, that punch was enough to get Mewtwo to fall on his ass, the first time we met."
"That was the best you could do?!" Coldfront mocked, "How disappointing!"
Coldfront launched another Hydro Pump, I didn't have any time to react, I grunted out as the pressurized water slammed into me, before I tumbled on the ground, groaning out as I struggled to stand back up.
"So, you want more of my wrath, bastard?!" He snarled, "I-I'll ask again." I panted out, in response, "What the hell?"
"You know very well what you did!" Coldfront roared out, before charging at me. I narrow my eyes as I braced myself, before Coldfront slammed his crystal into my chest. As I skid back, I took a firm grip on each side of his crystal, trying to get him to lose his balance as I struggled to move him, but I then grunted in pain as my back slammed into a tree behind me. I fell to the ground as I panted out and struggled to stay on my hands and knees, the pain caused my vision to blur.
"D-damn it." I muttered as I staggered slightly, "I have done nothing to you, Coldfront!"
"That is a lie!" he snarled back, "What you have done is unforgivable!" I looked as best as I could as I watched the Suicune began to charge another attack.
"Damn it, another Hydro Pump." I thought, "Wait a minute, there's too much power being put into it. Shit, it's Hydro Cannon!"
I tried to stand up to get out of the way but the pain numbed my legs, preventing me from moving, all I could do was watch his most powerful attack charge up, before hearing him roaring out in pure rage blasting the large torrent of water at me.
"KAGE!"
My eyes and ears darted to my left as I saw Carol leaping from the second-floor balcony, right as she lands on the ground and slightly lost her footing leaning forward and then dashing forward at as her own father. My face showed pure dread at what was happening right now. My mate trying to rush to my side as her father's attack was mere feet from hitting me. Somehow I manage to over come the numbness in my legs to brace myself as I held my arm out towards Carol, before I saw the shocked look in her eyes knowing exactly what she was seeing, as I manage to build enough psychic energy to push her back to safety, before I was blown back from the shock wave of Coldfront's attack.
(Third P.O.V.)
Carol let our a sharp grunt as she fell back from Kage's psychic push, then looked in pure terror as she heard a large blast from an attack hitting someone, her eyes watered as she saw steam exactly where Kage was standing, she was about to cry out his name before a sudden burst of psychic energy washed over her sending chills down her and caused her father t be pushed back, skidding the ground. As the stream cleared up, what stood there, extending an arm was a Pokémon surrounded my Psychic aura, glaring at the Suicune.
"Is—is that Mewtwo?" Carol thought, seeing the Pokémon. It did look like Mewtwo, but something was strange with him. He seemed to have bulkier arms and legs, seems to have a neck guard behind his head, as well as those ear things on top of his head were now sharper looking and curved up-ward.
"You damn Suicune mongrel!" Mewtwo hissed out, "Attacking the one human that, we as Legendaries, sworn to help?!"
"What the hell did you call me, freak of nature?!" Coldfront barked, causing Mewtwo to narrow his eyes and still having his arm extended, and seemed to gather the Psychic aura that surrounds him into his hand as it began to gather it became a large sphere.
"Call me that or attack the human again, and I'll unleash my Psystrike on your mongrel ass!" Mewtwo threaten back.
Coldfront's eyes widen with his pupils narrowed as if he went insane or feral before launching another Hydro Cannon, Mewtwo launched his own attack. As the attacks collided, Mewtwo's attack just pushed through the Hydro Cannon, causing Coldfront to look in shock before the psychic sphere slammed into his face and then explode into strange colorful blast making the Suicune fly through the air before slamming on his back into the ground.
Carol still sitting there looked in fear and confusion by her father's actions before she snapped out of the daze and looked behind Mewtwo seeing Kage out cold in his Pokémon form.
"Kage!" she called out before finally dashing over, and skidding on the ground next to him, carefully picking him up, "Kage? Kage! Come on, wake up!"
Carol let out a sudden gasp as something touched her leg, looking down she saw a strange yellow Dipyramid item.
"Use it on him." Mewtwo told her, not taking his eyes off of her father, "That's a Revive. Use it if you want him to be conscious."
Carol looked at the Revive before picking it up and as she held if above Kage it began to crack, then shattered into dust, its particles landed on Kage before disappearing, followed by his body glowing faintly. He then grunted out softly before slowly opening his eyes.
"Kage! Thank Arceus you are alright now!"
"What the hell? I thought that Hydro Cannon hit me." He thought, before he heard two beings grunting out and saw Mewtwo hold Coldfront's Crystal slightly pushed back closer to them.
"If I had shown up a second later, it would have." Mewtwo stated, before letting go of the crystal with his right hand and it began to spark with electricity and slammed the fist into the Suicune's throat, causing him to gasp and cough loudly as he choked for air.
"Y—you bastard!" Coldfront choked out, right before a pillar of fire slammed into the ground stretching to the sky.
"ENOUGH!" a female voice shouted out, causing the pillar to dissipate, standing in the center was a woman wearing a rainbow-colored kimono. Mewtwo braced himself for another opponent.
"Lady Ho-Oh?" Kage questioned, "What is she doing here?"
The woman glared at Coldfront walking up to him, as he panted out from his battle with Mewtwo and his body shivered in fear looking at her.
"L—Lady Ho—" his stammering was interrupted as Lady Ho-Oh swung her arm, slapping his face and had enough force to send him in a collision course with his ice wall, shattering it like it was nothing. As the ice finished settling from Coldfront, everyone emerged from behind furniture worried that he was going to clash into them.
Who the hell had enough strength to do that?" Alex asked.
"No kidding, we tried everything, not even our fire was enough to melt it." Kain barked out.
Jolteon, Glaceon, Glaci, and Lucario immediately ran out to the yard, to Carol and Kage. Lucario stood between them and Mewtwo, glaring at him as he slowly turns around, while the family stood around Kage and Carol.
"Never that you would look at me with such anger." Mewtwo said to Lucario, before he was enveloped by a strange light, a little later as the light vanished revealed Mewtwo back to his standard form.
"Wh—what?! Mewtwo?! That was you this whole time?" Lucario barked out, "Thought it was obvious." He simply remarked.
Coldfront struggled to stand before gasping out as Lady Ho-Oh stood in front of him, death glaring at him.
"I am very disappointed with you Coldfront." She hissed out, "Swearing on an oath to help and guide the Chosen One, the one who is on a mission to save your sister from a strange darkness in my mate's region, instead you nearly killed him because you learn he mated with your daughter!"
"That bastard violated my—" Coldfront was cut off as Lady Ho-Oh grabbed his throat and held him against the wall, "Say another form of insults and I'll have your vocal cords as your payment for this crime!"
Kage struggled to stand up before slowly walking over to Lady Ho-Oh and Coldfront, "You son of a literal bitch!" he growled out, causing both him and Lady Ho-Oh to look at him, "If I hadn't use my psychic powers that last Hydro Cannon you fired at me would have hit Carol as well! If I hadn't done that, she and I wouldn't have been the only two harmed by your blind rage!"
"Wh-what the hell are you t-talking about, you human sc-"
"Not another word, Coldfront." Lady Ho-Oh threated, tightening her grip on his throat, "Uchiha? What do you mean 'you two wouldn't be the only ones hurt?'"
"Yeah, Kage." Carol added, "What do you mean?"
"Your father would have also harmed our child."
Kage could feel that everyone was staring at him, feeling their shocked eyes looking at him before he looked back at his mate, whose stare was by far the most shocked and filled with fear.
"Wh-what are you saying K-Kage?" She stuttered out, her eyes slowly watering with tears as her body shivered, "What do you mean 'our child'? A-are you saying th-that I'm-?"
Kage nod his head, "I am Carol. When we were in our room and I scanned your aura, in your stomach was a pool of peaceful aura, representing a peaceful dream. I placed my hand on you where that pool was, and I heard a very faint heartbeat." He explained, "and before you doubt me by saying it could have been your own heart, the beat was too faint and too small to be yours."
(Kage's P.O.V.)
It's been a few hours after the news I told everyone, Alex and Karyme knew that Carol and I needed some time to ourselves. With Lady Ho-Oh sitting downstairs with everyone, to ensure no one went upstairs, however thanks to Luna to calm her down after that rampage with Coldfront, she mand some herbal tea that seemed to calm Lady Ho-Oh down a bit. And as for Coldfront, currently under Psychic lockdown by Mewtwo, holding him to the ground. As for Carol, well finding out she's pregnant and nearly gotten blasted by her own father's Hydro Cannon, has her shaken up. I sat down next to her while she had a blanket wrapped around her, still sobbing lightly form this event.
"I'm not ready for this." She finally spoken up, "Kage I-I can't do this. I'm not ready to be a mother."
"Carol, I know this is hard on you, but it's hard on me as well." I told her as I wrapped my arm around her, "When I found out you are with pup, my own fears and doubts ran through my mind."
"What fears or doubts?!" Carol barked out, only getting me to glace at her, "You're not the one with something growing inside of you! Or-or your own parent trying to murder the one you love!"
"Did you forget about the bitch I have for a mother?" I asked her, hearing gasped out she must have forgotten about my mother, not that blame her, "She hired Poachers to kill all of you, to permanently take away everyone I care and love."
"So-so I guess we both have a parent who thinks like that."
"Carol there is more than that. I doubt I would be a father myself."
"Why would you think that?" Carol snapped, "Kage, you're brave, strong, and kind-hearted. You'll be an amazing father."
I looked over to with a sly smirk before I point a finger at her, "Right there, Carol." I told her, "What you used to describe me, is also you."
"Kage I'm not strong or brave."
"Yes, you are. You saw how I trained with Regirock and Registeel. Plus, you may not be aware of this, but Lucario told me what you did when I went into my Sharingan Rage, you got between me and my mother and manage to hold me back."
Carol looked at me, before she realized she did do just that, "Carol you doing that, is the bravest thing you have ever done since I've known you and if you were able to hold me back that is just proof you are strong."
"I-I only did that to snap you out of it."
"Stop doubting yourself!"
Carol gasped out at my sudden snap at her, before I held her arms and pulled her close to me in a tight hug, "I already thought I lost you once when Death blasted you with his Thunder and I know you felt that way as well when he impaled my heart. You just need to tell your dad you are not a pup anymore." I told her.
"Kage he knows I'm not a pup anymore." Carol said to me, as she leaned into my chest from my embrace.
"My dad told me this," I told her, "Most fathers never see their little girls growing up. To them, they stay as 'Daddy's five-year-old little princess' I'm sure that's how your dad is still seeing you."
Carol didn't say anything for a while which had me concern, before she sat up and looked me, "Are you saying I have to be brave and stand up to my dad?"
I pushed her back from me before kissing her deeply on the lips, could feel Carol easing up slightly in our kiss, before she broke the kiss and looked at me. I no longer saw the fear in her eyes.
"I think know exactly what I need to tell him, Kage." She told me, "Just please wait here for me."
I gave her a nod, as she stood up and began to walk to the bedroom door, she did stop however as she grabbed the handle.
"Something else on your mind?" I asked her, "Just as mall thought is all." She replied, "The fear of yours about being father, it's not that is it?"
My ears laid back knowing exactly what she was going to ask me, "It's more if the pup ends up inheriting the Rages that haunts you, isn't it?"
I groan softly before I looked at her, "It is." Was all I could say, before I felt Carol pulling me into a comforting hug, "If the pup does, we'll find a way to help it to never use or control them. I'm not going to let my dad separate us."
With that she left the room, leaving me to think things over if Coldfront doesn't listen to her.
(Carol's P.O.V.)
As I closed the door behind, I couldn't help but lean into the door, "Fuck." I muttered, "I have no idea what I'm going to tell him."
I slowly walked down the stairs before I noticed everyone was looking at me, "Alright, I know what you all want to ask me, and I'm fine." I slightly snapped at them.
"Carol." Karyme called out, "No one is going to blame you if you are not."
"Karyme is right." Luna added, "And if you want some pointers you know there are three mothers you can ask."
"That will have to wait."
I looked over to a lone chair b the table seeing Ho-Oh drinking some of that tea Luna made.
"Not to sound rude," Kain butted in, "But the hell do you mean-"
"I mean, she has more important matters to deal with." Ho-Oh stopped Kain's question, "She has her father to deal with first."
I couldn't stop myself from growling at her, "Why can't I shake the feeling you knew this was all going to happen?"
Several of them gasped out as now Ho-Oh glared at me, "What was that?" she demanded.
"Kage told me right before my father showed up, he had a dream of a Suicune and you arguing." I replied, "I can't help but think that it was you and my father he saw."
"What you claim is by all means impossible." She remarked, "I only use his dreams to contact him."
"Then explain why he dreamt being on top of the Tin Tower?" I threw back at her, "He told me he only gets those dreams from you. Not to mention, you pulled me into one such dream."
I could tell what I was giving her, was in fact enraging Ho-Oh, "But as you stated, I have other matters to deal with 'Lady' Ho-Oh."
I started to head to the back door, only to be stopped from opening it as I felt my body freeze up. Looking back I saw Ho-Oh shrouded in psychic energy.
"You ungrateful half-blood bitch!" Lady Ho-Oh hissed out, "If it was for me, Uchiha would have been dead from his encounter with the Absol from Hell! Or did you forget that I gave you my feather to save his life?!"
"Grr, y-you only did that so that Kage would get to that damn region your mate left to fall to darkness!" I spat back.
I then began to groan in pain as I felt that energy tighten around my body.
"Hey! What the hell Lady Ho-Oh!" Jolteon barked out, "You know Kage said she was with child!"
"She needs to learn to respect those higher than her!"
I almost yelled out, before I hear Ho-Oh gasp out, I was free from her grasp as I turned to see her struggling with another psychic energy. I was confused until I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. I gasp out as I saw Kage with his hand extended out he was not only emanating with psychic energy, but what truly terrified me was his right eye was in its Rage state.
"Just what the hell do you think you're doing to Carol, Ho-Oh?!" he snarled out, "She was on her way to talk to her father, and the next thing I see?! You're strangling her with your own psychic powers?!"
"What?! Y-you never addressed me without my-"
"SHUT UP! You know she's with my child and yet just because she spat facts to you and felt insulted you had to 'teach her a lesson'?!"
I heard Ho-Oh began to groan out as I watch Kage slowly clenched his fist. I immediately got between them and held Kage's arm.
"Kage, that's enough." I told him, "Are you serious right now, Carol?!" I snapped back, "She was holding down and was harming you."
"And you showed her, that she won't being getting the respect you give her as well as not standing by while she does." I remarked.
"Carol is right Kage." Glaceon added, "Just calm down."
I saw Kage looking around, as I looked as well seeing both Luna and Lucario readying themselves.
"Please stop being mad, Uncle Kage." Glaci whimpered out.
I guess Glaci got to him, seeing how his psychic aura faded and he grunted out in pain as his eye return to normal.
"All I heard was yelling." He explained, "And the next thing I knew Ho-Oh was harming you."
"I know." I told him, "But you always make sure no harm would come to me if you can help it."
"Alright, you go talk to your father." Kage said to me, "While I have a chat with Lady Ho-Oh."
I gave him a nod, "Don't do anything stupid." I told him. I then walked outside of the house. It didn't take me long to find my dad seeing him laying on the ground surrounded by psychic aura as Mewtwo never took his eyes off of him.
"Mewtwo, I need to speak with my father." I told him.
"You'll have to talk to him with me present." He replied.
"What I have to say is for my father only, it's family matters."
"He still has a lot of anger; I can practically see it on him!" Mewtwo yelled back, "Just tell him anyways, your family matters doesn't concern me anyways."
I just growled softly before walking up to my father and kneeled down in front of him, "We need to talk Dad."
I saw him raise his head slight looking at me with a glare, but I just returned it, for what he did to Kage.
"The only talk we'll have is when we get back home!" he snarled out, I felt my heart skip a beat and even sank in my chest, and my glare slightly changed but I returned it before growling softly.
"I'm not going back home." I snarled out, this time, my father's glare changed, struggling in his psychic hold.
"Don't you talk back to me, young lady!"
"I'm not a little girl anymore, Father!"
This time I saw my father eyes shift becoming shocked as I continue to glare at him, tears forming as I pant shakenly.
"N-no." My dad muttered, "You will always be my little girl!"
"Stop looking at me like I'm five years old!" I demanded, "This is hard for me, you know?"
"I began to feel the tears stream down my face as I looked at him, seeing tears in his eyes, "I will always be your daughter, Father. B-but, I'm an adult Suicune, and Kage is my mate! HE never violated me, not once!"
"B-but that human- Damn it!" My father roared out before his tears streamed down his face, "That human doesn't deserve my daughter!"
"You're wrong!" I cried out, "Father you don't get it. A few times when I did go into heat, I never told him."
"Wh-what?"
"That's right I just told him I wasn't feeling well, and Kage didn't push the matter any further he let me rest or even have the room to myself while I struggled to control myself."
"Impossible!" Father barked, "Your mother taught you how to control yourself!"
I let out shuddering sigh as I hugged myself, "I've been with Kage for years dad." I told him, "When I was alone trying to keep myself controlled, it was hard for me. Kage kept popping in my mind and I just wanted him."
I began to softly cry now, unable to contain myself, "Carol, stop." My father said to me, "No. I'm not going to stop, not until you apologize for what you did to Kage!" I cried out.
"Carol!"
I looked at my father the best I could with tearful eyes, "I mean stop being upset it's not healthy for you in your condition."
I gasped out remembering I was with child and tried to calm myself down, "Oh, now you care?" I asked him, "Now you care about how I'm feeling?! You didn't seem to care when you tried to kill Kage!"
"Enough, Carol!" My father barked, "I can't bare to see my little girl this upset!"
I stood up from my father and began to walk back to the house before stopping at the door.
"When a friend of Kage's gets a part, he needs for his boat," I started, before looking at my father with a teary glare, "I'm leave with Kage to the Orre Region. Nothing you say to me will change my mind."
I didn't even look back or even wait for him to reply. I walked into the house and closed the door, sniffling quietly, or so I thought. I felt someone hold gently and held me as I in return did the same.
"Did you tell him?" Kage asked me, "The b-best I could." I cried softly.
Kage held me as I began to sob softly in his arms and it wasn't long before the rest of our group huddled into the hug to try and comfort me.
(Kage's P.O.V.)
After a bit time has passed, I left the bedroom Carol and I stayed in and headed back down stairs, knowing there will be questions. As I made it to the living room, I heard someone in the kitchen and saw Karyme and Luna motioning me to them. I walked over to them and sighed softly ready to answer questions.
"How's she doing Kage?" Karyme asked, "I think she's doing fine now." I replied, "Having an argument with a parent, can be stressful, lucky for us she wanted to rest for now."
"I wonder what she did say to her father?" Luna asked, out of curiosity.
"That's only between her and Coldfront, Luna. I didn't even ask her what she told him. Well, it was mostly she did need to lay down."
"That is true." Karyme stated, "Whatever she said, must have not only physically drained her, but mentally as well."
"I think it actually did." I said, "From what I know when it comes to two Legendaries of the same species, they're arguments has to do with their energies. Like for Suicunes, they keep eye contact and try to create strong winds to blow on one another."
"And do you think Carol won?" Karyme asked, not understanding at all, "That I don't know." I simply said.
My talk with them base on what I knew, or maybe I instinctively know due to the Suicune DNA in me, anyways, after my talk my ear twitched as I heard someone approaching us as I turned to see who was it, my facial expression turned to a glare as I saw Lady Ho-Oh approaching us.
"We need to talk, Uchiha." She told me, "We have nothing to say anymore." I growled back, "I made it clear that our talk was done when you threated Carol."
"That is the reason we need to talk!"
"Oh, you think I won't be able to save the Three, because I would put Carol's safety about anything else?!"
"You are letting darkness cloud your judgement!" she snapped, "Whatever this transformation has done to you, it's clearly gave you darkness, not of your own! You need to get cleanse of it!"
"And just how do you think I should do that?!" I snapped back, "In case you haven't noticed, Carol and the others have been able to snap me back. We have tried everything, even meditation."
"The Ancient Ruins of this island." Lady Ho-Oh simply said, "where the first inhibiters of this Island lived you are to enter the Ruins and go through their Ancient Trails."
She began to walk away from me as everyone stared at her from her response and went outside. I followed her, shutting the door behind me, knowing Mewtwo and Coldfront were staring as well.
"Mewtwo, release Coldfront." She ordered him, "I will be returning to the Tin Tower with him right now."
"What?" Coldfront barked, disbelief, "Lady Ho-Oh, Carol is to return home with me!"
"No, she will not." She snapped, "Her winds were stronger than yours in the argument. Her heart was in her winds while yours were filled with anger."
"What the hell do you mean I need to take-" I began to demand of her for an answer.
"You will take the Ancient Trails of Old Ways, or your destiny ends here Uchiha."
I took a step back from her, before Lady Ho-Oh and Coldfront were ringed by small flames, "I will get Kyorge to move on. You, Uchiha, either must conquer your inner demons, or surrender your mission."
"And just how will you keep me on the island?"
"Kyorge will be far from the island but not far enough for boats to safely cross." She remarked, "Also, this is one trail you will do alone."
My eyes widen slightly at this demand, "no one, and mean, no one will be with you. It must be done by the one corrupted by darkness."
I wasn't able to say anything to her as Lady Ho-Oh and Coldfront were consume by a pillar of fire and then were gone.
"Well, what will you do?" Mewtwo asked me, "I think I don't have a choice." I answered, "Tell everyone I'll be back before day break."
"And if you are not?"
"I think you already know the answer to that question. Carol will come find me."
He gave me a nod, before I shifted my forms and took off, Extreme Speed into the forest, "I just hope my wind is as strong as Carol's. Otherwise I could be in an endless torment."
