"After receiving aid from Queen Hellene, Eliwood rushes to the sealed shrine. The secret road they follow is known only to the royal family… They pass Bern's soldiers unnoticed and unhindered. They approach the castle…" David said.
"I can see it now. That's the Shrine of Seals!" Eliwood said.
"This was pretty easy." Pit said before stopping. "Too easy."
"You're right. From what we've seen, things never go this swimmingly." Carrot said.
"They're right. And it's no longer going to be the case." Lyndis said as some Black Fang soldiers arrived.
"Are you this so called band of Eliwood?" one of them asked.
"And if we are?" Eliwood asked.
"We are the Fang, and we served the White Wolf, Lloyd Reed. You will atone for your sins with blood!" they shouted as they pounced on them.
"But wait...they serve my brother, Lloyd. He has to be here. I can talk with him." Nino said.
"That's not gonna happen, Nino." a voice said as a young man looking similar to Lloyd Reed stepped out. "He's dead...and you're with his killers."
"Identify yourself!" Eliwood said.
"I am Linus Reed, son of Brendan Reed. I am the vengeance of Lloyd, whose life you stole! Prepare yourself! I'm coming for you!" he shouted as he and his soldiers charged.
"Doesn't look like we're gonna talk our way out of this one." David said.
"Yeah. We're definitely gonna have to fight our way to the castle." Bakugo said.
"Then let's move out." Lloyd said.
They quickly went against the enemy soldiers as well as Linus as they ferociously fought their way towards the shrine.
"Don't let up! Color the ground red with their blood! Make them pay for the murder of our departed comrade and brother!" Linus shouted.
"Geez, this guy is serious about avenging him." Jesse said.
"And he's not going to stop until we are all dead. So...it would be best to settle this and send him to join his brother." Lyndis said.
"We don't have a choice in the matter, I guess. Well, we gotta do what we gotta do then." David said.
"This is your end! Die here!" Linus shouted as they quickly went on the offensive against him before cutting him down right there and then. "Lloyd...my brother...I'll be coming soon." he muttered before falling to the ground.
"You and your brother were good men, Linus. Rest in peace." Saber said.
They mourned him before heading inside the shrine where Athos waited.
"Well...it was about time." Athos said.
"Athos? When did you get here?" Erica asked.
"Just now... I warped in, you know? I was watching you in my scrying crystal. The most important thing is that you've made it here." Athos said.
"Wait...if you can warp here...that means you could have just sent us here instead of us having to go on foot." Zenitsu said.
"What would that have proven? You cannot hope to succeed if you cannot trust your own strength. Your own power must drive you. That is the most important thing. Now then, shall we go? Underground... Where Bramimond awaits." Athos said.
"Bramimond? Of the Eight Legends?!" Eliwood said.
"That's right. Of the eight legends, only Bramimond and myself remain. Your journey here was a bit of a test, I'm afraid. I had to see if you were worthy of wielding a legendary item." Athos said.
"A weapon?" Jexi asked.
"That's right. It's a weapon that we, the eight legends, used to defeat the dragons. With it, you will be able to sever Nergal's power at its roots." Athos said. "The legendary items are sealed in lands across this continent. The only one capable of removing those seals is Bramimond. Now if only we will be granted this one request."
They descended down deeper into the darkness as they approached a hooded figure that floated there.
"Are you...Bramimond?" Robin asked.
"...Yes, I...suppose that is me. What do you want of me, you who live above ground?" he asked.
"We need something that can defeat Nergal." Aqua said.
"That is unfortunate, for I cannot grant that which you seek. Humanity would suffer were I to remove the seals." Bramimond said.
"The way we see it, humanity will suffer if Nergal succeeds." Rias replied.
"Humanity? Why would I care about that!? The whole world can burn for all I care!" Bramimond said.
"Is that really what you think?" David asked.
"Bramimond, remember... We, too, are human. These people, they will not be seduced by power. They came here without my aid, using their own abilities. You observed them, did you not?" Athos said.
"...It's true... They seem better, stronger than most humans. And yet, humans are frail. What guarantee do I have... that they will not succumb to that frailty, Athos?!" Bramimond said.
"Maybe you're right. Maybe we don't have the guarantee that you seek. But we only ask that you believe in us. Because as it stands, we're the only chance this world has got." David said.
Bramimond simply sighed before a flash went off. "The seals have been undone. I'm tired. You will let me rest." he said as he disappeared.
"Well...looks like we've done all we can here. Let's get going." Hope said before they heard a scream as a portal had opened behind Ninian with a hand grabbing her.
"Well...it seems you all are too late." Nergal said, poking his head out of it.
"Nergal!" Athos said.
"I had a feeling this might be where you all would go. Now that I have the girl...won't be long before the Dragon's Gate is open once more." Nergal said, pulling her in as the portal closed.
"No!" Eliwood said.
"It seems we no longer have the luxury of time. We'll need to be hasty. You need to go to Ostia to get the sacred weapon...the sword Roland once wielded." Athos said.
"Alright. We'll leave now." Eliwood said. "And we will bring Ninian back safe and sound."
