"Stop yanking my tail!"
"It's all knotted up!"
"It hurts! Stahp!" Willow shrieks as Weiss pulls hard on a wire bristle brush through the tangled, knotted disaster that is her twin's tail. Stopping for a moment to wipe her brow, she glares at Willow, who winces.
"Why?! Why have you not been at least going to a faunus salon?!" She demands as she grabs at a bottle of detangler, spraying it liberally before continuing with the brushing.
"I was afraid Father would find me that way." She admits quietly as she stays sitting as still as possible. "I did my very best to avoid his gaze as much as I could while I sought evidence against him in less than savory social circles."
Weiss pauses for a moment as she catches glimpses of some of those activities. Not visually of course, but she can hear them, smell them, feel them. The smell and taste of blood is so strong, so overwhelming that she can't help but gasp in horror at the overwhelming sensation.
And through it all, she can feel the grim determination of her twin sister driving her onward.
"What have you become, Noiry?" She whispers as the brush falls from suddenly nerveless fingers and onto the floor. "This isn't you. This has never been you. You were always the most gentle of us, the kindest and most caring."
Turning around to take her hands gently into her own, she smiles sadly. "Sometimes a good person isn't enough to fight an evil one, Weissy. Sometimes, it takes evil to fight evil." She sighs as once red orbs lock onto sky blue ones. "My hands are red now. My soul stained by my crimes, my sins, the people I killed in my quest to bring that monster low." She finally breaks the eye contact and looks away sadly. "I don't deserve a single kindness all of you have shown me. Not anymore."
Weiss slaps her as she glares daggers at her now cowering twin, feeling an unfamiliar anger filling her. "Why?! Why do such things, sister?!" She asks demandingly as she now seemingly towers over the raven haired wolf girl. "Mama would be ashamed of you!"
"For you." Willow answers calmly as she rubs her cheek, but looks back at her unflinchingly. "So you could take back our mother's company and return it to being the honorable and noble institution it once was."
"I never asked for this!" Weiss replies hotly, her fury still rolling through her veins and making her blood boil. "I don't want the fucking company! I never did! Your dream was to take the SDC back!"
"My dreams died when I lost my sight, Weiss." Willow counters as she stands to face her twin directly, the two standing toe to toe. "So instead I took it upon myself to depose that monster. I bloodied my hands, darkened my soul, so you wouldn't have to. So that when you turned of age and met Grandpa Garrett's terms, you would have no issue with assuming control."
"I didn't want this!" Weiss repeats as she growls, her tail standing aggressively. "All I ever wanted was for you to come home to us. To stop running away!"
"We were never meant to meet again." Willow admits bluntly. "Sooner or later, I must pay for everything I've done, yet the Khan saw fit to send me here to hunt down Adam Taurus, but I don't know why."
"Because your work is done." Kate declares firmly as she enters the bedroom the two of them have been closeted in since the inqusition ended earlier. "Because Siena recognized the precipice your soul dangled over, and did not want you to fall any further into the darkness you already travel through." The older woman adds as she moves between them, separating the two before a fight could erupt. Pushing Willow back down onto the chair she's been sitting on, she herself sits next to the raven haired girl and hugs her tightly before looking directly at Weiss, her Amber eyes smoldering softly. "Willow and Weiss, we promised Ada to care for you all, help guide you correctly and to insure your future. All of you."
"No offense, but you guys sucked at it." Weiss deadpans as she looks at her aunt, while using one of Ruby's favorite words absentmindedly. "Winter ran off as soon as she was seventeen, Willow was blinded, and I'm betrothed to an idiot." She grumbles bitterly as she herself sits back down heavily. "Who knows what kind of shape Whitley is in without me there."
Kate nods as she keeps holding Willow, who is now clinging to her tightly. "Blame Jacques. He has effectively kept us away via all sorts of legal and not so legal actions. But don't worry, your uncle has already made him pay dearly." She adds with a smirk.
Both young women look up at her curiously. "What do you mean?" They ask in unison as their link slams in, both of them already alert and wary as Willow releases Kate and grabs Fate from its resting place by her side, while Weiss takes note that Myrtenaster is by its place by the door.
Kate's smile stays in place as she stands and smoothes out her white and red dress. "James Ironwood is here to speak to you, little Snowy." She informs Willow. "He wishes to hear the truth from your own mouth."
Willow blinks at that news. "Me?!" She squeaks out in surprise as she points at herself, making her sister and aunt both giggle. "Why me?!"
"You were the one blinded, dolt." Weiss replies as she walks over and takes her arm. "Come along, this would be another excellent opportunity to sink Father's ship even further."
Willow smirks as she pats the offered arm before straightening her shoulders. "I will accept the consequences of my actions, Twit. You can't stop me there."
Kate smiles as she walks ahead of them and opens the door. "Consequences? Willow Noir Schnee, you know better than that. If he tries to arrest you, he'll be sent back to Atlas in an urn. A very small one." She adds as she begins to smolder from an internal fire, leaving neither of them to wonder if it was a hollow threat or a legitimate promise.
Weiss nods in agreement as the air around them begins to cool rapidly. "I have you back, we all do. I will be damned if I lose you again, dolt."
"Fine twit. Lead the way. Besides, it's nice having a seeing eye heiress. It makes me feel special." Willow giggles as she leaves Fate next to Myrtenaster before being led down the hall.
"Oh shut up, dolt!"
"Make me twit!"
