Her hazel green eyes were wide in fear. Did she dare to think herself scared? No! She stuck her hand out, reaching for something to grab onto. She did, skating to a stop allowing her high heels to touch the side of the building.
Sparks erupted, putting a frown on her tan facial features until she safely landed. She was independent unlike all the rest. Her fast beating heart grew to a calming demeanor.
A disgruntled grunt came from behind her, causing her to throw one punch to the intruder. The grunt had come from a boy whose hair was greener than grass with charcoal brown eyes. He was of asian descent, putting Batfever off.
"Who the fuck are you?" Batfever angrily asked, the boy holding his nose.
"You sound an awful lot like Jason. I live here. Who are you?" Gar spoke, getting down to the point.
"I'm Batfever. You?" Batfever refused to give away her namesake. She wasn't entirely sure she could trust the Titans.
If they were so willingly to blame man with no evidence then what's to say they aren't on the wrong side? After all, she'd been watching awfully close to dig up on information on the lot.
"That is Garfield to you." He shortly replied, starting for the inside. He found the auburn haired girl odd in the same way Dick Grayson had.
Batfever half grinned, saluting the male. She took off for the streets of San Francisco. She was missing in action to where she was probably needed. She popped into a place, stealing a change of clothes. Sure, she could create her own, but then those looking for power would bring her to her knees.
The current sidekick was in need of a safe haven. She had gotten word on the whereabouts of Joker Junior so she fancied to fully put the Clown Prince of Gotham's son under. She'd gotten her hands on the original himself only for him to laugh in her face maniacally, proclaiming he had a son. She'd kill him if it were the last thing she did- whether Batman agreed or not.

"Dil!" Ledger gasped like a fish out of water. His brown eyes were flashing concern then fear, turning into a pitiful look. He points a finger behind her, leaving the female in fear of turning to face their demons.
How can conversing with a ghost ever be a good thing?
Dylan released shaky breaths, slowly turning to meet milk white eyes of a corpse. Her breathing grew to be ragged, forcing her to withhold tears.
"Ledger, what is this?!" Dylan hissed, ready to swing on the ghost who was no longer in view. Her eyes locked on the milk white of a tuxedo wearing corpse who haphazardly latched on to her. Her brain began to vibrate from all the distress.
"Your time is coming! You can't keep this charade up, girl!" The corpse hissed, causing maggots to fly into her face in his spit. He wore a wicked grin, dropping his jaw wide.
Dylan choked on an ear-splitting scream. She softly placed a hand at the base of her neck, quickly losing oxygen. What the fuck was happening to her? Why did these things continue happening to the ghost communicating girl?
"Dylan! Please answer me!" Ledger shouted, gripping her shoulders. His brown eyes bore into hers, bringing the green eyed girl from the brink of her exhaustion.
Dylan blinked, unable to contemplate the tears streaming down her pale cheeks. Sighing, she saw the two of them were the only ones in the graveyard, slightly putting her at ease.
"Where'd Hot Pockets go?" Dylan squeaked, hearing her voice slightly crack.
Ledger let go of his hold on the brunette, "That's what I was trying to tell you, Dil. He never came. He was on his way, but something happened."
Dylan grew concerned. She entwined her fingers in her waves. Did she dare ask what happened to Jason? "What the fuck happened then?"
"He ran into trouble. I mean serious trouble. He's a goner." Ledger softly spoke, forcing her worry to turn to panic.
Dylan began to have a panic attack, hyperventilating at what could have gone wrong. "Then, how did-?"
"It was a message. Evidently, two in one from the other side." Ledger informed the saddened girl. He could tell the news broke her heart. He supposed he felt the same when Honey ripped out his heart. His love for her only ever wavered in death upon witnessing his ex-lover murder an innocent girl.
Dylan broke into sobs, sinking to her knees. She placed a palm lightly on the soft, cool dirt of the ground. She needed to steady her heart. How could she have let someone make her weak and warm inside? She shook off her current sadness, standing up to eye the dark of the sky.
"Ledger, why are you still haunting me?" asked Dylan as she began exiting the graveyard. She swung onto the concrete wall, surrounding the place. Her new home would be everywhere outside of confined space.
Ledger copied her action, yearning to feel human. He nonchalantly shrugged in reply. "You have options on the subject matter. You can always get rid of your ghostly communications."
"How do you suggest I do that? Cast the ghost out with a magic spell?!" Dylan asked, snorting in amusement.
"Hmph. Not entirely. I know somebody you have to talk to," Ledger caught the gleam of doubt in her eyes. He chose to add, "and, no, it's not the ghost whisperer."
"I didn't say it was the ghost whisperer!" Dylan countered, walking the end of the wall. Crouching down, the brunette began to watch the gloomy city in wonder. Her head was resting on the back of her hand atop of one knee that reached her face while the other kept her in place.
"Dil, I know you by now." Ledger softly spoke, joining her in mid-air. He could since he was a transparent being that only she could see.
"Who's the person we have to speak to about ridding me of my looney tunes?" Dylan asks, rolling her eyes. A gentle breeze gives her peace for once in her life.
"First, we must talk to your father. I know you don't want to, but in order to get to Europe; this is the route we have to take." Ledger spoke up, watching her turn a scowl on him.
"I can get us there by thinking-" Dylan went to protest until Ledger chimed in.
"Dylan! I don't want them to come, and kill you! The more you use your abilities; the more danger you're putting yourself in. I recently came across the news." Ledger tightly closed his eyes, wishing his words weren't true.
Dylan sighed, reluctantly caving. She wished she could take Jason with her. Shaking her head at the sheer thought is what had her agreeing aloud with Ledger. "Fine."
