Andrew Wiggin sat in the middle of his bed, located in his North Carolina home, which he shared with his parents and sibling Peter. Valentine had moved away with Barry, who Ender clearly trusted. He sat in his bed, his hands slowly gliding over the Formic egg that sat in front of him. Barry Allen had saved him from a xenocidal fate in the previous timeline. However, with the changes of the timeline brought forth by the Catastrophe on Infinite Multiverses, Ender had now indeed nearly wiped out the Formic race. The large egg in front of him was all that was left, and he owed it to the race itself to find this queen a new home.
Ender remembered Barry mentioning a planet known as Luisitania, but all research regarding the planet was useless. As far as anyone was concerned, the planet didn't exist, and was not yet a part of the Thousand Worlds. He needed to find it. To find the habitable land in which the Formics could populate and live in peace.
He also remembered Barry's mentioning of a sentient alien species known as the Pequinino's, who used sacrifices to send their elders to a higher form of life...as trees. Ender didn't quite understand it, but he trusted Barry when he said the Pequinino's were non-hostile, though their actions may show otherwise.
Stroking the egg, he moved it over to his suitcase, placed it inside, and zipped it up just as Valentine entered the room. "Hey Ender...are you ok? You've been in your room ever since you got back," She said, resting her hand on his shoulder. He flinched under her touch, physical contact not being his strong suit, especially after what happened to Stilson and Bonzo.
"I don't know...I guess all of these changes to the timeline are really getting to me. Barry explained to me the changes of the first Crisis, but...these changes are bigger. Everything in history happened thousands of years earlier. Everything is more high-tech, the entire Orion arm of the galaxy is colonized," Ender said. "I don't know. I guess this whole Xenocide thing is really getting to me,"
"Write a book," Valentine said simply. Ender glared at her, so she clarified. "Ender, people don't blame you for what happened. They're not that stupid not to realize a child being manipulated. But...Barry said that in the original timeline, you wrote the Hive Queen in hopes it would shed light on the Formics peaceful intentions,"
"But it's different now. When I wrote that, time-space distortion gave Earth forty years to get over the Xenocide, while we ventured to Shakespeare. Now the worlds are colonized, and the war only ended a few months ago," Ender said. "A book won't help me here...a spaceship will,"
"A spaceship?" Valentine asked.
"Yes. Barry mentioned a place, a planet, named Luisitania. I moved there in the original timeline, and lived my life, eventually letting the Formic queen out into the world," Ender said. "I need to go there, and solve the problems resolving the Pequeninos and Formics,"
"Do not forget about the Descolada," Jane said in his ear. He gave Valentine a questioning look, before asking. "What is the Descolada?"
"Mr. Allen did not explain? Hmm...the Descolada is a super intelligent virus located on Lusitania. It's symptoms include, coughing, sweating, vomiting, peeling of skin, decrease of red blood cell production, limbs detaching from organisms bodies, and death. The Pequinino's use the Descolada in their transformation from Pequenino to a Fathertree. The disease is helpful to the planet, but devastating to human subjects. I recommend creating the Recolada," Jane said.
"Recolada?" Ender asked.
"Yes. Created by Ela Ribeira-Wiggin, the Recolada was used to erase the symptoms of the Descolada, but keep the negative virus' effects on the Pequinino's Third Life. I recommend creating the Recolada before settling on Luisitania," Jane said.
"How do we make it?" Ender asked.
"The Outside," Jane answered.
"Ok. So...we go to the Outside, create a virus to kill the Descolada as well as create the Recolada. Go to Luisitania, spread both. Release the Formics...then...I guess relax. The mission would be done," Valentine said.
"We?" Ender asked. "What about Barry?"
"He'll understand. You're my little brother. There's no way in hell I'll let you go out into unknown space by yourself," answered Barry.
"I'm sure he'll understand," The two turned to find Clark Kent and Oliver Queen standing in front of their window. "Ender and Valentine Wiggin, Barry needs your help,"
"Oh no, not another catastrophe," Ender said.
"No, not another catastrophe. There is a problem, yes, a large one," Oliver said. "Barry and several others recently got infected with a bacterium known as Kharaa. They've been cured, but the disease threatens to spread across the entire Thousand Worlds,"
"So...how do we fight the virus? The Outside?" Valentine asked.
"No. Barry's almost done completing it, but his progress has been stalled by an alien species known as the Araimian's. He was a little out of it, but he said we would need your help for the...First Araimian War," Clark said.
"Wait, he was out of it? Is he ok?" Valentine asked.
"Yes, he is. The Kharaa altered his brain slightly, so we had to knock him out in order for the cure to take full effect. He should wake up in a few hours. Until then, the League needs your help to fight off these aliens," Clark said. "We're going to collect others, but Barry told us to specifically go to you,"
"Well...does this mission involve going into deep space?" Ender asked.
"Umm...yeah. Why?" Oliver asked.
"I have a side-mission of my own. I need to go to an alien world known as Luisitania. If Barry can give me a ship, I'll handle the Araimian problem, and then handle my own," Ender said.
"No. This is much bigger than the Formics. Barry says these aliens are powerful enough to be considered gods by some. They're more powerful than Barry, the Monitors, and the God's," Clark said. "What we need is a team...a team of bright minds,"
"Like the Illuminati?" Valentine asked.
"Yes...like the Illuminati...Illuminati…" Oliver trailed off, before grabbing a nearby piece of paper. "Barry Allen, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Peter Parker, Professor Xavier, Jean Grey, Hank McCoy, Bruce Wayne, Victor Stone, Doctor Fate, Ray Palmer, you, Valentine, Peter, Bean, Alai, Ryley Robinson, and Spock," He said as he wrote down the names.
"So...what does that mean?" Valentine asked. "Where will we meet? What times?"
"Barry will have details for you all soon," Clark said as he grabbed Oliver, before levitating into the air. "See you later!" The two flew off, leaving the two behind.
13.9 BILLION YEARS BEFORE
Barry Allen stood in the middle of space, nothing of interest happening as he stood there. However, a sudden movement caught his eye. A red wave. Similar to that of the antimatter wave, but it was encircling everything around him, pushing everything into a small space. He moved around at the speed of light, seeing nothing familiar. No stars, no planets, no black holes. This universe was filled with unrecognizable material, which even he couldn't comprehend.
"What you are seeing, young one, is the death of the universe," A strange voice told him. "But not your universe. The one that came before it," The voice called out. "The universe you are seeing is what created the one you know today,"
"Wait, so the Big Bounce Theory is correct," Barry stated as the 'wave' increased in speed. "So, I must be witnessing the contraction of the universe at millions of years per second…"
"Yes," The voice called out. "You are here for a purpose Mr. Allen. A great purpose indeed. The Kharaa Bacterium has an...unpleasant effect on higher beings. Unfortunately for you, your essence was split into two. Good and Bad. I am currently talking to your Good Essence, but beware, your Bad Essence is currently on Earth,"
"Who are you?" Barry asked.
"Who am I?" Suddenly, the voice was behind you. You turned around, only to find...himself. His other self was wearing a future version of a Flash suit. The suit itself was made out of a simple tri-polymer weave, with the cowl's neck being made of reinforced rubber, making it easier to take off. However, his golden lining was now grey, possibly a signal of loss or sacrifice. "I'm you Barry. Billions of years in the future, past, and everything in between,"
"Wait...if I don't remember being you, then doesn't that mean I have three essences out there?" Barry asked.
"Yes, but it only used to be two. Yourself, the hero of the universe. Blitzfrieden, Barry Allen, The Flash, Slingshot, Scarlet Speedster, Crimson Comet, Blur, Phantom Flash, Domucron, anything you have been called through space, time, and the Multiverse. And then there's me, Barry Allen, or the Overmonitor, set out to regulate space, time, and everything else," The Overmonitor said.
"Wait...you made Catastrophe?" Barry asked.
"What? Oh no. That was Mister Mxyzptik...it's a long story. Over the millenia, there have been three Overmonitor's. Mister Mxyzptik...Mar Novu...and myself," Barry-Two said. Barry nodded, looking around to find that the universe was now the size of a small bedroom. "Amazing isn't it? Everything in the universe shrunk down into the size of a room. Watch as the bounce effect takes place,"
As Barry-Two said this, Barry watched as the rest of the universe shrunk down to the size of an atom. The two watched as it shrunk to the size of a particle, before bursting out to the size of a football field. It continued to expand, as Barry-Two grinned. "I've watched this event three billion, two hundred and seventy-nine thousand times. Every time I watch it, it gets more overwhelming, because I know the Bounce Effect is a crisis the Justice League, Guardians, Avengers, Illuminati, or even the Sentinels," Barry-Two said.
"So...when will the universe die?" Barry asked.
"In billions of years, longer than any mortal can live 80 trillion lives," Barry-Two answered. "The Multiverse is like a bubble, and inside it are millions of other bubbles. When these bubbles expand, they will all collide, and contract, leaving all universes to rebirth,"
"So a natural Crisis?" Barry asked.
"Yes," Barry-Two responded. "When the Multiverse resets, so will physics, matter, and all other things. You will live it all, live, death, and everything in between,"
"Why did I create another essence of myself?" Barry asked, curiosity getting the better of him. "Is it another bacterium issue?"
"No. The Araimian's. You split yourself into seven essences, five of which sacrificed themselves to save many places, people, and races. Barry-Three sacrificed himself by going to the Formic homeworld, and telling them of the fleet. He died on the planet. Barry-Four sacrificed himself on 4546B, saving killing off the Precursor's, and himself. Barry-Five sacrificed himself in the original Crisis, in an attempt to save the Multiverse. Barry-Six sacrificed himself to save the last remnants of your previous life. And Barry-Seven sacrificed himself to save Ryley Robinson and Ender Wiggin in their separate trials of life, dying at the hands of an Araimian general," Barry-Two explained.
"Now there's me, Barry-One. You, Barry-Two. And...what? The Negative-Barry? Barry-Eight?" Barry asked.
"Negative-Barry works," Barry-Two. "He's unconscious right now, but he won't be happy when he wakes up. Our friends sort of knocked him out, so be careful,"
"Why can't I feel...anything?" Barry asked.
"Well...the negative of all things are more powerful than the negative. Unfortunately...Negative-Barry has taken your god-like abilities, leaving you with only your connection to the Speed Force," Barry-Two said. "But do not fret, you can still -"
"Use my connection to the Speed Force to spread my powers into the remaining forces?" Barry cut his other-self off. "I've studied the Speed Force a lot over the years. And...I feel like I've heard the word Domucron before, but I don't know where,"
"That does not matter. What matters is...this," Barry-Two tapped his forehead. Barry shivered, waves of information leaking into his head as he broke the fifth dimensional wall. There, he found seven sections. Five available to him, two locked up and unaccessible. Barry reached out, his hand touching the five sections as power suddenly rushed into him. Lightning, light, rocks, water, and fire. Speed, Forever, Strength, Still, and Sage Forces.
"Not as powerful as a god, but someone connected to all five forces is more powerful than the most powerful meta. More powerful than Parallax, or Professor Xavier, or even Highfather himself," Barry-Two said. "So...how do you feel?"
"PAIN!" Barry screamed, his form shifting drastically as he shifted in space and time. His legs were consumed by lightning, a portal suddenly appeared over his left hand, his right hand burst into flames, and his torso suddenly turned to rock. To his surprise, everything around him slowed to a crawl.
"You are now the Epitome of the Sixth Dimension...The Force Dimension. One of the three to ever have access to five of the Forces," Barry-Two said as Barry calmed. "When I return you to Earth, you will have no time to prepare. When you go back, your negative will awaken, his full potential unlocked by your presence,"
"Full potential?" Barry asked.
"He is a Tier Two 2A-Multiversal Organism. A being powerful enough to manipulate the Multiverse itself. You used to be a Tier Two, but your essence separation has left you as a Tier Three 3A High-Universal Organism. You can manipulate the Universe, but nothing around it," Barry-Two explained. "This will give you a clear disadvantage, so you must act quickly. Time is of the essence,"
"What will you do?" asked Barry.
"I will convene with the other Overmonitors, and devise a plan," Barry-Two said. "You must go now, but do not get attached to what you know...the future is limitless," Before Barry could ask what he meant, Barry-Two tapped his forehead, sending him spiraling through infinitude.
LIMA, OHIO; EARTH; MEGNIVERSE
William Schuester sat in his car, silently humming to himself as he drove to William McKinley's School for the Performing Arts. After Barry and Finn led the New Directions to a Nationals win for the third year in a row, the state had decided to convert the school into an all arts school. To say he was flabbergasted was an understatement, but he was even more surprised when they asked him to be the principal.
He nodded to himself, knowing that the past year since then had been the best year of his life. He and Emma had kids, the New Directions weren't tormented, Finn was alive and well, like Doctor Fate had said, and the New Directions were ready for this year's Regionals competition.
"DAD!" Will shot up at the sound of his sons high-pitched voice, watching as a bolt of lightning fell from the side, before going through the ground, leaving a bright blue hole in its wake. The lightning. Barry. He got out of the car, making sure to roll down a window for Daniel. He moved over to the hole, peering inside to find it going down at least a mile.
"FLASH!?" Schuester exclaimed, trying not to give out Barry's identity to any onlookers. In response, a bolt of lightning shot passed him, and into the nearby McKinley High, knocking over several students. Will stepped into his car, before pulling into the parking lot. He grabbed Daniel, and ran into the building. Schue dropped Daniel off at the Daycare, before storming to the Choir Room, which was surrounded by students, all whispering among themselves.
"Move aside, move aside!" Will shouted, pushing through the crowd of students before stumbling into the middle of the room, where a lone figure was on his knees, crying into their hands.
"Um...Mr. Schue...should I -" Finn Hudson was cut off by Will, who merely nodded. Finn nodded, before exclaiming. "Ok! Everyone out! You all have a free period!" He ushered everyone out of the room, before locking the doors.
"Alive. Alive. Alive…" The figure said, his voice shaking slightly. Will and Finn exchanged a look, each recognizing it as the voice of one Barry Allen.
"Barry...who's alive?" Will asked. Barry span around, standing up as he got into a defensive position. For the first time, the two teachers saw him for the first time. Barry was wearing a reinforced chromium version of his Year-Four suit. His eyes were a much brighter green, and the gold lining on his suit was replaced with white lining. Barry's golden belt, boots, glove ends, and earpieces were now white as well. What confused them the most was the lightning bolt on his chest. Instead of being gold with a white background, it was now white with a black background.
White electricity bounced around him as his skin...sizzled. Will was worried. Barry hadn't visited McKinley in months, and now he was saying someone was dead.
"We're all alive…" Barry answered.
"Um...we know?" Finn said. "Is this superhero business? Because S is ready and charged for action,"
"No...no...no…" Barry looked around, finding himself in an unfamiliar place. He had been trapped in the infinitude for so long, everything outside of that was...foggy. "Um...who...who are you people? Where am I? Where's the other...oh no,"
"Wait, you don't know us? Or where you are?" Schue asked, receiving a no from Barry. He took out his phone, and contacted the first contact he saw related to Barry. Kara Danvers. He dialed, and when the other side answered, he spoke. "Hi Mar-Kara. Umm...we have a situation over here. Barry...he's here, and he doesn't know us, or where he is,"
ALLEN ENTERPRISES HQ; CENTRAL CITY
"Wait, what? Barry's there?" Kara asked, staring down at the Barry next to her. Joe, Patty, and Ryley gave her a confused look. "I'm confused because Barry's right here in front of us...unconscious," Kara said. She nearly jumped back when Barry sat straight up, his eyes looking around the room as he grinned. "He just woke up, are you sure you're not talking to a Time Remnant?"
"No...this Barry shows no sign of being a Remnant, he just...doesn't remember anything," Schue responded as Clark and Oliver flew through the window. "Are you sure he's there?"
"Yes, absolutely," Kara said.
"What's up, cus?" Clark asked.
"Schue is saying there's another Barry at McKinley...mind checking it out?" Kara asked, pulling out her best weapon. Puppy-dog eyes. Clark sighed, grabbing Oliver by the collar before shooting out of the window. "Kara," She turned to Patty, who was staring at Barry. She and Joe turned to Barry, who was now standing in his Flash suit. But it was different.
The lightning bolt on his chest was not black, with a white background. His eyes were pitch black, the boots, glove end's, and a lot of the golden lining were not black. It reminded her a lot of the Negative-Flash. Maybe this was him. "Barry...what are you doing?"
"My main objective my dear," Barry said, his grin somehow getting wider. "I...need...to kill...the Flash," He said, black lightning sizzling around him.
"Who...are you? The Negative Flash?" Joe asked. Barry sneered, before pinning Joe to the wall at superspeed. Barry grimaced in annoyance. "YOU WILL NEVER CALL ME THAT!" Before Kara, Patty, or Ryley could blink, Barry phased his hand into Joe's lung, before throwing the man into Patty, who was going for her gun. With the crack of electricity...he was gone.
LIMA, OHIO
"I...I still don't remember anything. All I remember is the birth of the universe, talking to...myself, and falling through nothingness. Everything else is either blank, or foggy," Barry explained as he patted his new suit. "This is different,"
"Ok. Ok. So, you witnessed the birth of the universe, talked to another piece of your essence, and then fell through space and time, before landing here?" Oliver asked, receiving a nod from Barry. "And you remember this other you telling you that the you in Central is and isn't you, but actually the evil version of you," Barry nodded. "And we're currently talking to the 'Good Barry', who, in order to be good, doesn't have his memories,"
"That's depressing," Finn said.
"Yeah, well, I don't know anymore," Barry said, his smile slightly shocking Oliver. "So...what do we do? Stop the bad guys? Save some people?" He asked, bouncing in the air excitedly before a flash of black penetrated the room. 'SHAZAM!' was all Barry heard as a set of claws wrapped around his neck. When the darkness cleared, Oliver had an arrow primed, Finn was in full Shazam mode, and Mr. Schue was hiding behind the piano.
Above him, pinning him to the ground, was...him. A negative of him. The negative stared down at him, his dark grin frightening Barry as the negative pulled off his cowl. The negative's hair was black, with his teeth and eyes being black as well. "W-W-What do you want?" Barry asked.
"You...I want you dead Barry. You are the only thing keeping me from being a Boundless Entity. Once I've killed you...I will be free to live," The negative Barry said. "Any last words Flash?"
"Yeah, he does. Fuck you," Oliver said, before sending an arrow directly at the negative, while Finn shot a streeam of lightning. The negative dodged the arrow and bolt, which both hit Barry. He ran forward, kicking Oliver in the face before sweeping under Finn's feet, knocking him over. The negative grabbed Finn before digging his claws into the superhero's lightning insignia, producing a scream from the hero.
"Hey!" The negative turned to find Barry now standing, effortlessly pulling the arrow out of his shoulder, before throwing it on the ground. "Pick on someone with your abilities," Barry said, his skin hardening into solid steel, while his hands burst into flames. He grinned, before motioning for the negative to come closer. "Come on...Flash vs Anti-Flash. Let's do this," With a flash of white and black...the two were gone.
