"Eliwood struggles to recover from Ninian's death and moves onward. His destination is the Dread Isle. An enemy waits there, one who must be defeated. Nergal surrounds himself with his morphs and waits for Eliwood's arrival. The final battle draws near…" David said.

"It's not far now." Jimbei said as they approached the island as an army waited right on the mainland. "And it seems they were expecting us."

"Hey David." Hope said. "Once we get to Nergal, I think we all agree that it should be you that cuts him down."

"Me? You sure?" David asked.

"Of course. We've all seen how deeply you hate his methods and how he disregards those under him. Honestly, I can't think of anyone else who should take him down more than you." Hope said.

"Well, if it's okay with you, Eliwood." David said.

"Actually...we can do it together." Eliwood said.

"Ah, right. My apologies. That kind of sounded insensitive of me." David said.

"I think the more insensitive one is the one who decides to put pressure on you." Eliwood said, looking to Hope.

"But this is not the time to discuss this." Lyndis said. "We need to get through them before we can reach the Dragon's Gate."

"From what I can see, the entry points are from the west and south. We'll split our forces into two and launch a pincer attack." David said.

"Agreed. I'll lead a group west and you take one South." Jexi said.

"Perfect. In this case...let's go!" Ven said as they quickly divided and went against the enemy army standing in their path.

"So these fools are trying to pincer us. Then I shall eliminate them in one fell swoop. Fimbulvetr!" the enemy commander said casting a spell as a large wall of spiked ice emerged, tearing apart the land as well as some of their comrades as well.

"That is some spell. But...nothing we can't handle!" Jexi said as they moved right through the enemies in the west.

"It seems they're unphased. They've likely seen much worse. It matters not. I shall take their lives and their essence, all for the sake of my master." the commander said, preparing to cast again.

"Oh no you don't!" a voice said as bullets and ice crystals were shot from the south. All hitting the commander.

"I see...you wish to interfere too." the commander said turning to the south.

"That body...it's not bleeding at all." Cheetah said.

"I am but a morph, an artificial being made to serve my master. And do that I shall." the commander said.

"Reduced to nothing more than a puppet. Don't worry about the pain you're feeling. It will all be over soon." David said.

"As if I even feel pain." it said firing ice spears at the group in the south.

David took point, getting hit by the ice spears, which only served to regenerate his health.

"This needs to end." Vera said loading an arrow. "Begone!" she said firing it at the arrow hit the commander dead on, right through its body.

"This body...was never real to begin with. Same with this sorrow." it said before fading away into dust.

"That was a heated battle." Eliwood said. "Now that the army here is dealt with...nothing stands between us and the Dragon's Gate."

"Good. We can finally end this once and for all." Hector said.

"Yes. All this madness and heartache...can finally end." Lyndis said.

"We're coming for you...Nergal!" they all shouted.
