Hello Everyone! Sorry it's been so long. I got a new job and I had limited internet, plus I was taking time to work on my novel. Please enjoy.

Keyx bent over gasping for breath. Wincing, he grabbed his side and looked over at Jace. "How are you not out of breath?"

Jace laughed, looking back over his shoulder. "It's not that bad. You just need to work out more."

Keyx flipped his finger off at Jace who merely smirked. He then stood up and glanced around. "Where are we?" All Keyx could make out was that they were on a mountain surrounded by water.

Jace followed his gaze, "this…this is where we catch our ride."

Keyx blinked in confusion. Just as he was about to open his mouth, a gust of wind manifested causing Keyx to cover his face.

"Greetings young Godling," a voice whispered. "You seek the tears of Chaos."

"Yes," Jace replied. He nudged Keyx forward who was finally able to put his arms down. Standing in front of them was a being that seemed to be made up of air. There were parts of him that seemed solid but the more Keyx stared the more it seemed that there was nothing in front of him.

"You are in luck," the being said. "It has been one thousand years since the last person came looking for the tears. However, they weren't pure of heart and they were judged. What will your judgement be?"

The being turned it's back. "You may enter my domain. I look forward to seeing your journey."

The instant Keyx stepped through the portal, he found himself standing in his kitchen. The man cooking at the stove turned with a smile, "Good morning Keyx." He waved to the table, "breakfast is almost ready. Can you go see if your brothers are up." The man turned back to his cooking and Keyx could only stand there with a dumb expression.

That was his dad. He was sure of it.

Percy Jackson turned around and still seeing Keyx standing there frowned, "everything okay Keyx?"

Keyx blinked, not sure how to answer.

He was saved from answering when two blurs ran into the kitchen and seated themselves around the table. It was two boys both around the same age. One had blond hair like Keyx while the other one had black hair like Percy.

The black haired one finally looked up at Keyx, "morning Keyx." He smirked, "mom's on the warpath. She's not happy with your latest stunt."

The blond haired one snorted, "you're in so much trouble."

At that moment, Annabeth entered the kitchen carrying a small toddler. She frowned at Keyx, "there you are. You are in so much trouble."

Keyx finally came to his senses and took a step back shaking his head. "No," he muttered. "This…this isn't right." He backed away and held up his hands, "I don't know what kind of trick this is, but stop."

Percy frowned, "what do you mean?" He came over and slapped his hand over Keyx's forehead, "are you feeling alright?"

Keyx pulled away, "this…" he crossed his arms over his stomach, "I know this isn't true." He glanced upwards, "this is only a dream. I know this much."

The image wavered and in it's place, Keyx found himself in a room that was covered in white. The man from before was there as was Jace. The man simply gazed over at Keyx, "so…you are strong enough to overcome the desires of your heart, but are you strong enough to overcome this?"

Before Keyx could reply, the man ran Jace through with a sword. For a moment Keyx could only blink. He was positive that the man had been empty handed a moment ago.

Jace sputtered, "why…" as blood coughed out of his mouth into his hand.

The man pulled his sword out and looked over at Keyx and then snapped his fingers. Instantly, Julian appeared and the man wrapped his hands around Julian's throat. "Two people, both close to death. If I told you, you could only save one…which one would you save?"

Keyx sucked in a gasp. "You…you aren't asking me to pick?"

The man sneered. "I am. Which one?"

Keyx was torn. He looked over at Jace and then back over at Julian. "I can't…"

"Pick soon or you'll find that I'll kill them both."

Keyx met Jace's eyes. He swallowed, "I…" he closed his eyes. There was really only one choice. "Take me instead," he replied.

The man blinked. "You…"

"Please," Keyx begged. "Save them and take me."

The man silently regarded Keyx and then after a few moments, he snapped his fingers and everything around Keyx melted away. The man stalked forward and gripped Keyx's chin and forced Keyx's eyes to meet his. "A wise choice," the man murmured. "A friend who would rather die and give up his life rather then to have to choose a friend."

The man closed his eyes and took a step back. "You have passed." He turned to Jace, who had a soft smile on his face. "You have chosen a good one my friend."

Jace snorted softly, "I didn't choose him, but thank you Lord Chaos."

Lord Chaos gave his version of a smile or al least Keyx thought he did. He couldn't tell, plus he was also still shocked that the Lord Chaos was in front of him.

Lord Chaos turned to Keyx and held out his hand. In a flash of light, a small clear vial filled with a pearly substance hovered in his palm. "You may take them. You have been judged to be pure of heart."

Keyx swallowed and slowly reached out to grab the vial. Bowing his head, he licked his lips, "thank you Lord Chaos."

Jace came over as Lord Chaos flashed out, leaving them standing on the mountain top from before. He placed his hand on Keyx's shoulder, "you did it."

Keyx took a deep breath and then pressed his forehead into Jace's chest. "Hey now," he crooned. "It's okay. It was just a test. I'm fine."

Keyx nodded and pulled away. Jace cracked a grin, "don't be sad. It's not like you."

Keyx snorted, "and you know this?"

Jace shrugged his shoulders. "Of course." He held out his hand, "let's go." Keyx smiled and grabbed Jace's hand, allowing the water travel that lead them back to camp.

Melody looked over her shoulder. She hid to the shadows and once she was sure the coast was clear, she ran for the water's edge. She would only have one shot at this and she needed to make this quick. She didn't need Chiron or Lupa or anyone finding her.

She took a quick breath and waved her hand, calling forth the portal that would take her where she wanted to go.

The portal opened and she took one last look over her shoulder, before steeling her nerves and stepped through. When it died down, she silently took in the man in front of her. Even from here she could feel his loneliness. It broke her heart and she wanted nothing more than to put her arms around him and never let him go.

As if sensing someone was there, the man turned away from the window and time seemed to freeze as the two regarded each other.

Melody's breath caught in her throat and she struggled with the words that didn't seem to want to be said.

Percy Jackson narrowed his eyes, "how did you get here?"

"Because," she said softly. "I can find you anywhere." She finally gathered the strength to move. She came to a stop directly in front of Percy and gently cradled his cheek. "You don't have to do this. Let go of your hatred."

A pained look crossed Percy's face. "You don't understand. They have to pay."

Melody shook her head. "No…don't be swallowed up by your hatred. The man I knew and the man I loved were not so filled with darkness."

"That man is gone," Percy said with a hiss. He stepped away from her with a snarl, "and I think it's time for you to leave." He turned around but stopped as Melody grabbed his arm and pulled him to her. "No he isn't." Without waiting, she stood up on her toes and pressed her lips to his cheek. "He's right here," she whispered. "I can feel it." She pulled back and looked him in the eyes. "Come back…"

For a moment, she was sure he would listen but then his eyes hardened and he pushed her away. "Get out," he hissed. "Get out!"

She scrambled to her feet. "Please…" she begged, reaching out. "Come with-" she screamed as he blasted her with a blast of icy wind. His blue eyes flashed with anger, "don't make me say it again. Get out!"

She closed her eyes and turned away, "very well." She waved her hands for her portal and just before she stepped through, she turned over her shoulder to meet his gaze. "My mother…"

Percy closed his eyes and snapped his fingers. Juliet appeared, her hands tied up and her eyes closed. Melody scooped Juliet up and gave Percy one last sad glance before she stepped through the portal.

Pontus watched them go and as soon as her portal vanished, he slumped to the ground. He reached up and touched his cheek, still feeling her lips.

He hadn't thought Thalassla would be reborn. This was sure to throw a cog in his plans. He stood up and clenched his fists. He would just have to be stronger.

Pontus couldn't allow for his feelings to get in the way.

He would finish what he started.

Melody stumbled out of the portal right into the middle of what appeared to be a meeting. She fell to her knees as silence made it's way around the room.

Chiron frowned, "Melody. What-"

He was cut off by Will stepping forward, "Juliet!" He ran for his daughter and grabbed her from Melody. He only took a few minutes to make sure she was breathing before glancing down at Melody. "How did you do it?"

Melody closed her eyes and stood up. "I'd like to be alone."

She turned and placed her hand on the door knob. Before she could turn it, Katherine stepped forward with crossed arms, "you went to him, didn't you?"

The other's gasped and Melody slowly turned around, "and if I did?"

"You shouldn't have left camp," Katherine scowled. "What if he traced you back? You could have put all our lives in danger-"

"He wouldn't do that," Melody screamed, cutting her off. She took a ragged breath and looked straight at Katherine, "he wouldn't harm me," she said softer.

Thalia frowned, "you don't know that. I agree with Katherine. This was stupid."

Melody took a deep breath, trying to calm down. She then looked over at Annabeth, "you believe me. You loved Percy Jackson just as I loved Pontus. So, I know that you know that the men we loved are still there."

Jason snorted and glanced at Annabeth. "Come on. You don't think-"

Annabeth held up her hand silencing Jason. She took a shuddering breath and then slowly nodded. "I believe," she said softly.

Before she could say anything more, Juliet came to her senses with a gasp. She blinked and tears welled in her eyes. "Papa," she asked softly.

Will smiled gently, "hey. Welcome home."

Juliet gave one small sniffle before trowing herself at Will and burying her face in his chest. Will wrapped his arms around her and kissed her head. "Shh," he whispered. "Everything will be okay."

Juliet shook her head, "but…Julian…"

"Don't think like that," Will stated. He pulled away. "Julian is stronger than you think. I have complete faith that your brother will pull through."

"Juliet!"

Juliet pulled away from Will just as Nico came running up to grab her in a hug that lifted the girl off her feet. She hugged Nico tight, taking comfort in her father's strength. After a few minutes he set her down and she looked around, "but how did I get here? The last thing I remember is being knocked out."

Will sighed, "it would seem Melody saved you."

Juliet blinked, "Melody?" She turned and when her eyes met Melody's something within Juliet broke. She gasped and tears welled at her eyes and she took a small step towards Melody. Melody gave a watery smile, "hello mother."

"You," Juliet began. "It's really you."

Juliet gave a cry and ran to hug Melody. She pulled away and cradled Melody's face in her hands. "You went to see him." It wasn't a question. A statement as if Juliet wouldn't have expected anything less.

"We were just discussing that," Katherine cut in icily. "She has put the whole camp in danger."

Juliet frowned and peered over at Katherine. "And why do you say that?"

Piper spoke up. "Because there's no telling what he might have placed on her. For all we know, he could be tracing her…allowing him access to the camp."

Juliet shook her head. "No. He wouldn't do that."

Adrian snorted, "what is with this guy," he muttered. "It's like y'all are brainwashed." He scowled, "that man isn't anything like the guy you all knew."

All three woman turned around to glare at Adrian who snapped his lips shut with a glare. Melody stepped forward and glared around the room, "fine, don't believe me, but I know what I know and I choose to believe in that little spark of hope." She spun on her heels and stalked through the door, letting it slam behind her.

"Damn," Jace muttered.

Everyone turned and stared in shock at both Jace and Keyx who stood in the corner. Annabeth gasped, "when did you get here," she asked Keyx.

He shrugged his shoulders, "since the beginning."

Jace closed his eyes and shoved the vial into Keyx's hands. "Here. I'll go after her." He ran out to follow Melody.

Annabeth eyed the vial. "And that is?"

"The tears of Chaos," Keyx replied. He sighed, "we were successful."

Will stepped forward, "you did it?"

Keyx nodded and handed the vial to Will. "Here," he said. "Go save Julian."

Will grabbed the vial and after a brisk nod, ran out the room to the infirmary. Juliet frowned, "and what is wrong with Julian?"

Nico blinked, "didn't you know? He's been poisoned."

Juliet blanched. "Poisoned," she whispered.

"But he'll be okay," Keyx promised as he slung his arm around her shoulders. "I got what we needed." He looked over at Katherine. "And regardless of if she went or not, he would still have come." He looked over at Chiron, "we need to get ready."

Chiron nodded and began barking orders. The other counselors ran out with Chiron following slowly behind while Thalia ran to get the hunters ready leaving only Annabeth, Adrian, Nico, Juliet and Katherine.

Katherine humphed and strode out of the room.

"Finally," Keyx muttered. "She's gone. Ow," he moaned. He glared at his mom, "what was that for?"

Annabeth pinched her nose. "Regardless of what you think of her, she is our oracle. She deserves our respect."

Nico sighed and reached for Juliet. "Let's go."

Juliet nodded and moved to Nico's side. He guided her out of the room and Keyx swallowed in the tense minutes that followed. Annabeth sighed, "I'd like to speak with Keyx alone, do you mind?"

Adrian shook his head. He kissed her cheek, "I'll be right outside."

He left and Keyx finally looked up at his mom. After a few seconds, Annabeth whispered, "what do you think?"

Keyx knew what she was asking. He closed his eyes and thought about his vision. Something he desired and something that he knew would never happen but something that told him there was still hope for his dad. "I agree with Melody. We shouldn't give up hope that dad can still be saved."

"What made you change your mind," Annabeth asked.

Keyx gulped. "I…I saw something," he said. "It gave me hope." He smiled softly up at his mom, "hope that dad isn't as lost as we may think he is."

Annabeth smiled sadly and kissed Keyx's cheek. "I won't ask what you saw but it seems you've grown. I'm proud of you."

She gave him one last hug and left, leaving Keyx alone with his thoughts. He glanced out the window and swallowed as the sky's opened up and a single ray of sunshine showed through and landed on the water.

A sign. One that told Keyx that everything would be okay.

Ahh, I finally finished. It's been a long time. Please R&R
