Chapter 26: Rocky Road Ahead

West of Mahogony Town and East of Ecurteak City lies the Mountain range known as Mt. Mortar. Which as of late has been the destination for trainers who like fighting types to learn and train under the Karate King. We can see black belts and battle girls training both in Pokemon and hand to hand combat. One of the battle girls however looks a little out of place for her outfit seems a little too tight for her chest and her fiery red hair pinned up in a ponytail seems to be more of whip as she fends off three black belts. Jabs and kicks she dodges or blocks with ease before striking them all in the chest to bring them down. This girl looks over and see another girl with brown hair get planted on her butt by a fellow battle girl.

"Owie!" She cries out as the red head walks over and holds her hand up.

"You seriously haven't trained in self defense before have you, Terra?"

"Don't rubbed it in Blaze." Terra says once she on her feet. Blaze starts to ignite her hands at the gazing eyes of her male admirers which sort of scares them.

"Look if my brother didn't think I needed it, I would be helping him search the mountain and not here getting a refresher course." Blaze says as Terra nods.

"Yeah, but what was he talking about when he said you got captured to easily?" Blaze rubs her forehead at that question.

"Team Rocket napped me a week or two after we got to Johto and they caught me off guard when they did it." Blaze explains. Terra scratches the back of her head.

"Wow. You still want to face them." Blaze looks at Terra.

"Yes, I'm going to make the woman pay for making me feel powerless...hang on." Terra looks confused when Blaze pauses and starts to stare at her own hand.

'How in the hell was I powerless than? Shouldn't I have been able to burn my way out of there?' She starts to be engulf by normal colored flames.

"Blaze!" Terra yells, snapping her out of it and she turns off the heat as a man walks over in dress like most of the other Black Belts but with a legit black belt on along with a coat that says King on the back of it.

"I was told you were experienced already but I wasn't informed bout this." Both of the girls bow to the Karate King.

"Forgive us." He nods.

"That is fine. Now, what troubles you both?" He gets straight to the point since he has taught many and he doesn't want any issues being hidden. Blaze nods.

"I was hoping you might help me understand pressure points...I was remembering something that happen to me and I can't figure out how they might have did something?" Blaze just straight up asks. The King nods.

"I do, and I need time to gather some other students who have been curious as well." Blaze nods.

"Thank you." He leaves as Terra looks at Blaze.

"Why the sudden interest?" Blaze clinches her fist.

"I need to know if its possible to use pressure point to stop our powers from working..." Blaze starts to walk away.

'Cause if it doesn't than I'm going to start to lose my trust in someone.' She ponders as Zane and another girl dressed like a female Mountain Climber or Hiker have watched off in the distance.

"You sure want to be prepared." The dark skinned girl remarks as Zane nods.

"I'd rather them know how to protect themselves and besides my sister has been slacking off this entire time we've been in Johto." Zane says as the girl raises an eyebrow.

"Really? She looks pretty fit from her...especially with those assets she has, dam I'm jealous." She says with a bit of a smirk. Zane sighs.

'Figures. Do I have to keep everyone away from her?' He thinks to himself as the girl pulls out a phone.

"Pardon me, I have to check in with someone before I go join my gem down there." Zane nods as the girl walks away. Zane than takes a second.

"Gem?" He wonders.

Right outside of Blackthorn City Gym. Five trainers are standing around Theo is standing by a woman with long light blue hair wearing a cape with a very tight outfit and a girl with similar tastes but has dyed lavender hair with light blue roots. The other two trainers one male and one female appear to be wearing attire suited for the times of Sir Aaron and have the female's eyes glaring at the ladies beside Theo.

"How many times do we have to tell you, we have no idea they tried to have us kill Rayquaza? We were told there were Dragon types eating people on the way to the Icy Cave." The man says as his light-less eyes glaze elsewhere. Theo nods.

"Alright. Clair, your thoughts?" Theo asks as Clair looks at the two.

"You both call yourselves Dragon Slayers? I thought you are called Busters, is there a difference?" Clair wonders as the female slayer pulls out a fang.

"All I am going to say is Busters are only willing to sub-do and relocate problem Dragons...but what happens when those Dragon types that continuously keep being a problem?" That pointent question from the Female slayer that forces a shocked expression on Clair and her daughter's faces however the daughter marches over and with one quick swipe of her arm; the female slayer has a cut on her right cheek. She notices that girl's left fore arm and hand have been morphed into that of a Gabite's claw and fore arm fin.

"Shira, no!" Clair yells as she pulls her daughter away. Theo offers a hand towel to the slayers.

"Forgive her. I know you both have your jobs and we are here to make clear that your involvement in this incident is a one time misunderstanding." Theo starts to explains calmly. "However if you are found helping Team Rocket in any manner again, I will make sure you get punished." He says and the slayers agree with a suddle nod.

"We understand. May we be on our way now?" They ask and Theo looks at the girl.

"Of course." The two slayers walk off at that and once out of sight, Clair lets her daughter go.

"Mother, why? They kill my precious dragons for a living!" Theo looks like he wants to say something to the upset Shira as Clair looks her in the eye.

"They have a necessary job...not a job they like but a necessary one." Clair states as Shira looks at her mother confused by her.

"What do you mean by that?" Clair face palms.

"Think about how you reacted for a second, Dragon type Pokemon have always been one of the most aggressive and ill tempered types and they can go from one extreme to another faster. This made people fear them and hunt them down...why else do you think dragon types are usually the rarest type in the world?" Clair said. Her daughter takes a moment to realize what Clair meant and she starts to tear up.

"So I'm a monster!" Clair sighs as Shira cries a little and Theo just hides his face.

'Why can't I like a girl who doesn't need to be a patient?' He thinks to himself as he begins to help Clair out with her daughter.

In the Kanto Region's Power Plant, a huge discharge of electric roars out of a nest on the large roof top as two trainers just stand watching the show from the Zapdos attempting to intimidate them.

"Look I just want to talk you shock theorpy Pidgey!" Electra says in a stylish blue tank top and gray hot pants with white lightning bolt going up and down the sides. Psyche nods beside her and she is dress like her usual Gothic lass attire.

"I don't even think it wants to listen. I'm guessing it didn't get the memo that we want to help watch over it." The self made book lover spoke as the discharge of Zapdos spreads out and Electra looks surprised when she begins to absorb the electricity.

"I see...its not like we wanted to bug you!" Electra says out loud as Psyche notices that Electra sent her own current to Zapdos when she had yelled. The nacho winged bird calms its discharge and makes it more of a focused jolt between itself and Electra.

"What is it saying to you?" Psyche asks as Electra holds up a finger for a moment.

"Pretty much, Zapdos dislikes us being here even though we want to help protect it." Electra explains as Psyche grabs her chin.

"Figured as much. Legends want to be alone...make sure to tell it that an unusual group of people are attempting to capture Rare Pokemon like itself..."

"Himself." Electra responds and Psyche nods.

"Right. To him." Electra does reply with her own shocks and for a few minutes, jolts bounce back and forth as Psyche sits there unable to tap into this Legendary Bird's mind and listen to both sides of the conversation.

'I guess this confirms want Ms. Olympia told me. Legendaries of all kinds have minds vastly different to us and even average Pokemon.' She ponders before taking a deep sigh. 'Though I will discover a way to talk to all of them...I will not be ignored.' She instinctively makes a fist and a disembodied chuckle soon follows.

"Trust me, you rather be ignored." Hunter's ethereal presence puts the psychic on edge as he just looks at Zapdos.

"Lugia advises the protection." Hunter states before vanishing as quickly as he came. Zapdos squawks, cutting off his shocking dialogue with Electra so it can return to nesting. The model turns and looks to her psychic pal.

"What was that?" Psyche sighs again.

"Did I tell you that I'm haunted?" Electra looks taken away by Psyche's words.

"I thought that only happened to your mother in her books?" Psyche shakes her head.

"Apparently not." She says as Electra nods.

"Okay, okay. No wonder you're so enamored with books." Psyche looks up at Zapdos real quick.

"Why don't we just give Thunder Torchic some alone time and I can recommend something to read while we have lunch." Electra smiles at that as the lady disappears from the Power Plant.

At the Kanto/Johto Pokemon League HQ, inside of an office in the Champion's area. Ash is focused on a pill of paperwork he is reviewing from both the upcoming Elite Four Qualification Tournament, the Jail break, and all Team Rocket's activities including Olivine Riot. He stops on one page and he sighs.

"I miss the days when I didn't have to keep track of all this...those kids made me feel younger." Raichu pops out of a Pokemon door built into the wall and looks at Ash. "Hey Raichu...you miss Rain and the others don't you?" Raichu growls as he goes over to Ash's feet and lays on them. Ash pets Raichu.

"Yeah...I just wished reality didn't want to come back and hit me in the face." He sighs before setting down a paperwork down; it has the names of several Joys that have escaped jail. 'I just wish I could remember the day we arrested these women...' Ash rubs his forehead since he has a mild headache form from trying to remember.

Back at Mt. Mortar, Blaze is watching the lesson on nerve points from the Karate King as Terra keeps getting planted while she trains with some Battle Girls.

"Again!" Terra gets back up as the girls get in their stances. Another girl walks up behind Terra and wraps her arms around her waist.

"My Opal!" Terra blushes for she knows only one person would do that as the other girls looks confused.

"Brooke! What are you doing here?" Terra asks as Brooke smiles.

"Well, I was asked to help out with something and I heard you were around and I won't deny myself the opportunity to see my darling." Brooke says. Terra removes her friend off of her.

"I see, I don't want to be rude but I was trying to learn some self defense." Brooke raises an eyebrow.

"Why would a pretty thing like you need hand to hand training? You rock with Metal and when we are together..." Brooke takes Terra's hand and a slight shaking occurs in the area. "We can make the Earth shake." The shaking had everyone on edge as it stop when Terra let go of Brooke.

"Please just leave me to my training." Terra looked upset as she said that and Brooke quietly agrees to let her be as the fair steel maiden goes back to her sparring. The fiery battler had her eyes on the rocky hiker.

'I don't know about this girl...she seems to have some rough edges about her." She thinks to herself as she refocuses on the strikes to be weary of. Zane just quietly observed everyone as a couple other karate students and their fighting types try to eye him up. He merely looks over at them and they back away from the black flame that hasn't even begun to ignite.

A couple days pass as a flack of Fearow and Spearow do their best to avoid the skies of Saffron. A top of rooftop near the Gym, a certain icy boy is being watched by a woman dressed like a model but serious as a prison warden.

"Again!" Sabrina spoke as she tosses a set of already twisted spoons that most machines or tools won't be able to straighten them out without tearing or breaking the metal of the spoons. Zero's eyes glow and most of the spoons stop mid air and straighten out back into normal. A few spoons are still twisted but floating along side the fixed ones. Sabrina looks a tad disappointed. "Zero." She spoke again as Zero put the spoons down.

"Yes, Mama." He answers her in more of a childish tone. She sighs.

"You did great. Now, that telekinesis is down. We'll move on to your other abilities." Sabrina says. Zero yawns as he summons an ice cream. "Where did that come from?" Zero looks confused.

"Where what come from, Mama?" Sabrina points at Zero's ice cream.

"That...wait don't tell me I forgetting your powers...arrgh!" Sabrina grips aloud before a familiar sensation enters her mind.

'Believe me Mother. He is taking more after you and before you ask, I'll give you a list of what powers he can use as childish Zero as well as Serious Zero...' Her other son's voice spoke in her thoughts as if they were having a private conversation. She nods right before realizing Zero is no longer by himself. A kid, with maroon hair and is a maybe a year older than Zero, is standing with Zero and both have an innocent grin on their faces.

"Zero! Its been awhile!" The boy announces. Zero shoots up.

"Pyro!" He yells as a burst of mist is released from the boys' elements colliding joyously. Sabrina looks coldly at the other boy.

"Pietro Joy! I told you to wait down in the gym." She spouts out like a mother would as the boy scratches the back of his head.

"I don't remember you saying that. I thought you said I could play with Zero!" Sabrina doesn't like the answer but she can clearly see her son is no longer going to be focused on. She sighs.

"You two can go play. I have some business to attend to."

"YEAH!" They cheer before disappearing from Sabrina's sight. She almost immediately grabbed her phone. Anabel appears on the screen.

"Sabrina, Can you give me a second?" Sabrina nods as she watches as Anabel pulls Lilly and Violet apart, clearly a fight had just occurred. "I don't care what it was about but you two are going to make up and go back to your rooms!" Anabel yells as the girls surprising make up and head back to their rooms. "Aghh... I swear we aren't the far from the coast of Cianwood, stupid engines." Anabel mumbled to herself as she momentarily forgot Sabrina was listening and waiting.

"Oh my Mew, Sorry about that. How are you?" Anabel asks. Sabrina shook her head.

"I've been good and I can see I'm not the only one with my hands full." The psychic twirled her hair. The cop scratched her head.

"Well, they aren't as bad as the criminals I'm used to. Lilly is just the worst out of the kids I watching right now." She casually admits and Sabrina chuckle briefly.

"I see. I was checking to find out if my youngest son and his friend might have popped up with your kids yet." The psychic's words have the detective metaphorically sweating like a new recruit who just messed up a big case on their first day.

"Well I haven't seen him but I'll make sure to le..." Anabel was interrupted by a loud scream.

"Behold the True Power of the Frozen Butt!" A violent shaking soon follows as Sabrina smiles.

"It seems my son is in good hands. I'll take him off your hands in a week or two." Anabel's face looks horrified as Sabrina hangs up before the cop could protest. She takes a moment.

"Maybe I should have kept Zero here a little longer...naw I'm sure Anabel can handle herself." Sabrina says aloud for no one to hear as she makes her way off the rooftop to some child free fun.

Meanwhile back on the S.S. Greenday that is literally near Cianwood City's Harbor, Anabel finds herself witness to something so unthinkable to her eyes that she hasn't blinked in five minutes. Zero and Pietro have blasted the main deck of the ship with ice, flames, and burn marks, Lilly is stuck frozen in a barrel, Damien and Parker are trying to keep Pietro off of Violet due to Pietro's unusual look in his eye, and Zero stands before a pile of unconscious passengers with Janic on his should like a cannon; her son's buttocks looks covered in a layer of frost. The only thing untouched happens to Rain who just looks confused by what happened and the lack of ice or flames around her for three to four feet. Anabel just facepalms.

"Wtf."

The usual Narrator appears and readies his/her end of chapter script when suddenly Blaze Moore appears out of nowhere and kicks the End of Chapter Narrator to the ground. She than picks up the script and burns it with normal flames.

Hey Guys, Its Blaze and I'm taking over the End of the Chapter Narration for a chapter. Don't worry, the regular Narrator will be back next time with all of those silly questions that I think maybe half have been directly answered. Seriously though I wanted to give you guys a little hint of what's to come and boy is it crazy.

First thing first, I don't know what it is but why am I not with any other boys besides my brother. It sucks, I mean Mt. Mortar has one of the best places to view the Johto Sunrise and Sunset and I have to be stuck with my brother, a gem loving girl, that now I think about it might be Brock's daughter...oh, and finally Terra who either is one of my romantic rivals or possibly one of our bisexual characters.

Seriously though what was up with Gem girl check me out, I can't help that I have the body of a short Poke-boy Model. The author just had to create me when he was a teen and just had to give me typical anime girl proportions...I'm thirteen almost fourteen unless Silver, Editor, or Author decides to either reasonable change it to adjust me or just have Silver or Serious Zero snap his fingers to do it or age manipulate everyone like in the shorts...Damn it! I'm getting off topic.

Anyway. Mt. Mortar seems to have an legendary roaming around it, and you know Team Rocket must be after it. I better not see the Lyn woman, I will get my revenge for making me look so crappy when I was introduced. You guys remember, when I was tortured in that cave with my pant down...you sick bum what kind of girl do you think I am? I can't wait to get her back for that.

Though now that I think about it, how could I not have used my powers back then? Maybe I'll find out but I will say this about the next chapter, I'm getting screen time as of this moment.

The Beta name and hopeful the actual name for the next one: Chapter 27: The Roaring Blaze.
