Nemesis heard the challenging roar of someone like her, an aspiring alpha fighting for her status, a so powerful being that for the first time she was willing to answer with the same provoking tone. The atmospheric pression changed and a few meters from where she was, a shining-armor and flying-cape man appeared, bulging with an aura that wouldn't cause humans nothing but terror.

The Emperor raised his hands and slightly snapped his fingers, sending away the formerly imposed execution and reversing the torture, but, besides that, he allayed the insects as if protecting them and put himself in front of the purplish woman. Eyes to eyes, each movement could start a massacre and each breath could mean a defeat. She repeated his move and snapped her fingers turning all the living beings on Earth into dust, nothing deserved more of her concentration than that creature. He took no long to repeat the snap, allowing the population to come back to life. May the gods help the weaker, the female was smiling as if in a psychotic delight for the worthy battle she would fight and this, by itself, indicated how destructive they were about to be.

Few could follow when they threw themselves against each other, as fast as light or even faster, their energy hurtled in a terrible bang and the intensity they held each other was so strong that time, space, reality, mind, soul and power became a visible matter to the eyes of anyone. On that speed, they attacked each other like wild beasts, but for human eyes, they were barely moving.

Like on a mortal dance, their body interlaced and their members moved with the graciousness of destroying galaxies. Each impact more devastating than the previous one, each spelling more terrible than they had ever seen. The remaining landscape was quickly undone and the survivors hid as they could to protect themselves.

A black whole was created by one of them and soon another one appeared in the hands of the adversary to counter attack the advance. The ground opened with the collision and they were thrown to the sky, an energy trying to overcome the other, the force of one trying to subjugate the other's and both of them failing in each attempt.

Nemesis, trying to defeat him, threw a blast of her own power with her hands, but he could anticipate her movements to attack her the same way and more than that, with red rays coming from his eyes like a mutant and this summed force made Original hit the ground instead of the Emperor.

- THIS IS MY FUCKING BROTHER! – Chris shouted rooting for his Loki, feeling as the God of the Thunder himself, with his hands up, happy and proud. He didn't know how he could identify Loki in that thing, but he was so sure of it that he couldn't doubt the identity of the one hiding in that armor.

- Yes, he is. – A voice identical to his said, resting his hand on the other's shoulder with the same admiration.

Odinson was there (which made the actor jump of fright to see him), strong and newly-resurrected by an inconsequential beast with remains of once was the trickster god. Despite he was completely recovered, there was something different on his semblance, it has been a long time ago since he looked to his brother with so much appreciation as now…

The purplish woman didn't allow her opponent to come to her and hit her, she disappeared when he was a few inches far from reaching her and reappeared behind him, too fast for him to avoid the coup totally, too strong for not to be damaged. The regeneration wasn't a problem for none of the both, they could keep battling for thousands of years before finishing it or being lucky enough to one of them being knocked out before recovering.

The perception of place wasn't the same for those two and for the other beings in the planet, they didn't mind and didn't even notice while the world under their feet changed and the fight was taken further. Cities were ruined for their powers and the sea wasn't a place where they would be less lethal. Dragging each other with so much violence and fury, they surpassed the skies of Mexico and only hit the ground again in Costa Rica, coup after coup, the Emperor was thrown to Colombia, who, in answer, threw Nemesis to Brazil, in the remains of the Amazon.

The moon was called by her and hit the Earth in instants, hitting it so strongly that the planet collapsed and everyone in it, except the fighters and deadpoll, died. Or at least until the Emperor manipulated the time to turn back and the satellite returned to its own place, restoring the world and making everyone to come back as if nothing had happened.

His distraction in recovering Midgard and its inhabitants made Nemesis to notice the flaw of his power, how his advantage was directly related to those living beings and with the insignificant rocky formation. Without those lives, he would lose the only thing that could make him stronger and victorious. She believed nothing could be greater than her, nothing would surpass the level she'd achieved and for this reason she didn't think twice, when their wrists encountered, to transport them for another reality.

The humans in that place succumbed a few instants ago for the redirection of their elimination, so there weren't lives to worry about when throwing themselves against buildings, devastating everything in their way. She felt what gave him a little bit more of power for him to leave and this made her not to wait anymore to kill him, she would finish her defiant in the seconds that it would take to surpass his protections.

As completely equals they encountered themselves, however Original stayed in a state of much more lucidity than the other, he reacted with his instincts and it wasn't enough to defeat her. Overriding the male, she hit him and threw him out of the atmosphere, taking him away and not allowing any defense from him no matter how he tried. Attempting to recover what benefited him, he did exactly what she did before, took them to another reality and looked for the strength it had.

His luck came from a baby, she noticed. Everyone in that Earth had turned into dust with the second snap of fingers, except the powerful and completely unconscious of what she was capable of child. Someone who someday could become one of them, but now, in the arms of the bad man who she ended up protecting, it was nothing but an addition of supermassive energy that could defeat the threat against humanity.

The Emperor hit her in the stomach before she realized where they were now and the coup threw her very far, towards Mars. The female body passed through asteroids and destroyed them, but didn't enter the orbit of the other planet. She attacked, allaying them even more from the source of power of her adversary and when indeed neared the red planet, they didn't care about it at all, being more worried in dismembering one another.

The realities altered again and again, each moment attending the needs of one and then of the other. While they crossed through Jupiter, none of the both showed to be better than the other and that seemed to be another hint that the fight would be useless and there would be no winner. They were like animals fated to vague through the multiverse never satisfying the desire of killing the other.

It was Nemesis who opened a gap between all these dimensions and the male didn't think twice to follow her, ignoring the consequences that that may cause. That place was nothing but a hallucinating, incomprehensible vision for most of living beings, but for those two it was possible to find coherence as if it were a normal existence.

There inside the worlds molded around the movements made by them, modifying and wavering as their energy hurtled. There was a chaos of colors, shapes and thoughts manifestations all around, what somehow seemed to feed even more Original's power. The man stopped, facing what he would fight against and felt intimidated at first, but as her strength increased, his followed the same way.

Maybe since when they entered this usually inaccessible part of the multiverse this has been the intention of the purplish one, overloading him so much that his body would stop working. She had also stopped and would only react if he tried to escape. The woman would only stop when his skin ceded, when his muscles broke, when his mid turned off completely and when a so big explosion happen with his death and the most part of the multiverse was destroyed together, only then she would escape for a place where no one would ever raise against her authority.

The pain was even worse than what he felt when accepted the gifts of the armor, even though he didn't remember that moment, but even so he didn't intend to accept his ending to come with no more resistance. Even though each minimal movement put him closer to destruction and each paralysis instant worsened even more what he was feeling, the Emperor didn't stop until she was forced to touch him again. He knew that she would trigger the extreme chaos when her hand reached him, but even so it was the only way out he could think of.

There was a part of his little consciousness that remembered he wasn't a hero, that he didn't play fair and that he would always trick in the best and worst circumstances. When her skin touched the gun to end that game once and for all it was needed that he acted first, that he risked, that he was faster, bolder and that he had nothing to lose. He thought about a place where her powers wouldn't work, materialized it in his mind and when his body started to break, the Emperor took them there.

(…)

It was Nemesis who collapsed when she saw herself in that reality, everything she represented was drained at once. The infinity stones meant nothing there, they represented no threat. She saw herself being reduced to a mere mortal, a mere and odious human that couldn't even breath in the outer space, while the other had not even the smallest reduction of his abilities. Original lost everything she had in superiority, but the Emperor had a new banquet of gifts to copy in substitution to what she had lost.

He held her in the neck with the strength of a steel man, overflowing the powers of each vigilant of the gigantic tower orbiting that Earth and of each Meta-Human living quietly on the ground. His hand broke her clavicle as if it were nothing, as if keeping her alive were a bigger effort than keeping her eternally in submission. The Emperor would have finished everything right there, would have taken her place, but as that population got agitated, he realized he had no interest on those people, his kingdom wasn't there and, therefore, when the brown-haired got the place of the golden in the eyes of the woman, he got back to the reality in which he was born, ignoring too the increasing agitation of that people in a reaction to the weird beings that invaded their atmosphere.

There was a moment of extreme silence when they both came back, as if each living soul held their breath expecting what was coming. Some celebrated inside, others couldn't afford to believe they'd win, but there were also those who realized that something was very wrong and it wasn't a monster anymore who was hanging down in the powerful hands of the adversary. Xavier, thanks to Jean's alert, has been striving all along the battle to enter the enemies' thoughts and see what he was really dealing with, however, it was only as the woman's body was thrown to the ground for pure humiliation that he had some progress.

The human inside was the greediest thing he had ever seen. It shined in a so extraordinary power that was could keep a beast caged and suppress it where it couldn't harm anyone. The broken girl, somehow, had made it to control the uncontrollable, each branch of the energy in that place came from her and spread through all the world that Nemesis' conscience was, altering what the purplish thought, before, to be part of her own decisions. If the mutant knew Stark's past, he would have understood that, when Original took over the body, it had the position formerly occupied by the invader in its own being.

Other manifestations of life contributed for the containment, allowing Linna to use her powers against the bearer itself. It was almost as if they had made a deal that offered more benefits than the loyalty to Ego could give them, something that would make rejecting their own natures worth. Those things weren't morally altruist, but they stopped considering Ego a similar, the same way it didn't consider them so, and helped the human when she wanted to save lives even if they didn't deserve it. The telepath noticed that if they hadn't died immediately to the revival of the divinity it was because a hero's daughter thwarted it.

Whatever had permitted them to stay in that position was being undone as if there was an internal fight for the command, so hard as the external. They wouldn't last in their resistance even being essential part of the enemy's superiority, but they only needed to withstand until the Emperor destroyed them or until the moment she took the crown off her head and then everything would be over. Independently of what would be their methods, they seemed to have difficulties in finishing their actions and Xavier's help was more than welcome on this.

Without the same perceptions of the telepath and not knowing he was part of that almost-victory, the ones still alive contemplated when the purplish body kneed down in front of its adversary as if declaring him the winner and awaiting its sentence, but that wasn't the act that surprised them… The wild beast didn't realize or care about the tears the others could see and that were not the tears of an invincible creature who now faced its ending, it was the only one who didn't see who actually was in front of it.

It wasn't sadly that the Iron Girl faced that form of her best friend, but with the deepest relief. She always knew she would die by his hands. Her skin was enrolled with the second armor produced just for that moment, something that would detain her worst side so much strongly that it couldn't get recovered again when the destruction arrived.

The legendary blade of a jotun king came to the hands of the monster claiming it and everybody held their breath with their faces full of doubt, but there was nothing that would make him hesitate and they didn't wait more than few seconds to see the queen's head to roll. The pressure on the world was completely undone, but it didn't seem right at all to celebrate the sovereign's fall.

They won, what was supposed to be awesome, however, now, looking at the one who provided this, they didn't feel relieved at all.

The Emperor and Earth itself were part of each one of them and were the alpha of an inconstant population. Currently they could realize that the origin of their powers was what made it worse than Nemesis was, he wasn't a savior, he was a governor whose commands they couldn't deny as they eventually could do when the other tried to control their actions.

One by one, each being around kneed down as the terrible sound of the victory roar of the creature spread. They couldn't help the impulses caused by the desire of acclamation of the vain beat. The manipulating wires involved them and they couldn't do anything about the submission they undeniably so easily held.

The crown was brutally pulled out the beheaded head, breaking the so-like-to-his armor and making the technology undone through the rest of the body. He held the object as a trophy and delighted with the answers of his subjects, not noticing, at least, that they were only a reflection of his will. For the remaining god in that thing, that was a very aimed dream and finally achieved, more real than any other similar experience he had ever lived.

There was this face he wanted to see, someone who he wanted to have under his feet, even though he didn't remember the name of it. He looked for the blonde hair and for the blue eyes, for the powerful size and for the sovereign air while he walked among the crowd stepping back in respect. He kept his antecessor dead, fluctuating around, just to appreciate a little bit more that image, his target wasn't very far. Odinson stayed crestfallen as his brother stood in front of him, he couldn't even move.

Long live the king.

Scarlett knew it wasn't over when she didn't feel any motivation to knee down and did it just for not catching an unnecessary attention. The influence of the Emperor didn't attribute to her. Her mind was trying to understand what that meant, how many possibilities were open now and what were the chances of being able to do something about it, but nothing weighted more than the understanding that she wouldn't see her daughter again. Not if she wanted to keep her safe.

Her body trembled and she was striving not to cry. Tom had lied, none of them would come back, there wasn't any hope since the beginning and they entered that portal for pure stupidity. When the had the impulse of saving multiverse, it was just the human side of each one speaking, they were not heroes, she's not Natasha, Chris Hemsworth isn't Thor, Chris Evans isn't Steve, Benedict Cumberbatch isn't Strange, Mark Ruffalo isn't Hulk, Jeremy Renner isn't Clint, Elizabeth Olsen isn't Wanda, Ryan Reynolds isn't Wade, Tom Hiddleston isn't Loki and Robert Downey Jr. isn't Tony Stark. All these names attributed to them is nothing more than characters they have already played, someone they had to be in front of the cameras, an important part of their lives, for sure, but much different people of those living out of the stories. They just… enlivened them.

Her eyes were looking for Hiddleston before she could stop it and when she found him, noticed she was stared back, he knew, of course he knew. The responsibility of an actor is enlivening a character; however, those represent much more than they show on the cinematographic adaptation when we consider another realm. In HQs, some of them are so close to divine and with so much grand powers about the reality, that they could destroy the infinity stones just with some words…

She looked for the others of her reality, all of them had expressions of comprehensions identical to the one surely stamped on her face. Elizabeth was very near, with the attention focused elsewhere, as if she knew what she had to do and hated it.

- There was this day Scarlet Witch said three words and the mutant race disappeared from the Earth… - Johansson whispered so low that no one except the other actress heard.

- I know. – She said in the same tone. – But I'll cause a second Big Bang if I do this.

- This might be our only chance against him. – their voices kept low so that no one noticed the conversation. – We are not going back home, not while that thing controls everyone around here.

Even though the hesitation of Olsen delayed the complete destruction of an enemy who no one else knew if they could face, Scarlett completely understood her. When the threat was Nemesis, each one of them allowed themselves to be taken over the heroic part inside their hearts, they forgot what they were and embraced fantasy, death didn't seem as scary as now. Uncertainty was the worst part of what was about to come, if they didn't act, maybe they wouldn't see their relatives ever again, and maybe they would be forced to play another life at the mercy of a monster, if they did act, they maybe died with more quadrillions of living beings. Their lives weren't more important than the ones of a whole universe. Maybe the best choice was to stay there and accept their destiny.

If the creature didn't look at them with conquering eyes, if he didn't show delight and pleasure for the submission of a planet and if his too-powerful aura didn't make clear to all of them the much he liked to be the winner, maybe they could believe they were giving a better course to those lives keeping quiet.

They could be stronger than the Emperor in the case of chasing the gifts of their characters in the HQs, counting on him not copying their talents, they could even overcome him. While Original was alive, no one could ever be powerful to the point of defeating it, however, without her powers giving him so much grandiosity, all that was left to do was the reproduction of the talents of those on Earth under his influence.

The eyes of Scarlett looked for Benedict and she saw he found the same solution, but awaited as if any wrong movement could cost them the chance. All the actors held their breath with the same fear, they might be powerful, but not immortal and the crown was still with the enemy. There was no second take if they failed.

- There's a place where no one would have to die despite of us… - Her tone of voice was nothing more than a whisper, however, she knew that the other was listening and, the shoulder relaxing showed she had already made her choice.

The Emperor looked straight to them as if his senses alerted him. He held the stones even more strongly and left Odinson to near his new enemies. Each step meant death, each inch nearer meant the complete end of hope. He entered their minds in seconds, looking for answers, for the place that had originated so much power and for means to conquer it. All of them heard the groan of satisfaction he echoed through the region when he found the gold mine that was the reality they came from. Why to conquer all the remaining interesting universes with his power if conquering that one, all the others would fall too?

The beast got close slowly as a predator in front of the pray, as if enjoying each moment of expectation before attacking the banquet. Chris Evans was faced with himself speaking to the feeling taking over all of those coming from the same place as him. For their children, for their families, for their world and all the others.

- Actors… - there were the seconds that each one of them armed again with what they were forced to drop when they kneed down. – Action!

Mark, Robert, Jeremy, Hiddleston, Evans and Hemsworth advanced, putting themselves between the creature and the target, delaying him for the precious instants needed to bring the ambient they needed.

- Mirrored dimension…

The stones were removed from their holder and moved to a gauntlet of the enemy's armor. His strength was drained to almost zero when the reality was changed, but the singularities he had made him still one of the most powerful creatures in the universe. He felt the threat before it was actually real and nothing in the world would stop him from seeing that grand woman to disintegrate.

A single look towards those insects was enough to understand that they would do anything to prevent him to reach it, he wouldn't even risk giving them some time. His hand closed, the fingers were ready to be snapped and then a busybody cloak put itself in his way, followed by the technology that answered its own and curbed his movements, those false heroes were really asking to be painfully killed. A wrath roar sounded from his lips, may it be through brute force, then!

Stormbreaker answered her calling even though someone it should serve was some steps away. It would behead each one of the goddamn challenging ones. Apparently, no one dared to doubt its intentions, he hit the beast's green face and it was stepped back from his reach by the wizard, someone who kept doing the same with all the others, instants before they had their lives taken. Despicable and fool little creatures, … stepped back and opened his way to the goddamn human.

He needed nothing but seconds to reach her, with the legendary weapon from Asgard in hands, he didn't need anything else to put her to his feet. However, when he stroked her, someone else put itself in front of the attack, another female. Her armor would have been easily broken and so her flesh, that shelter created desperately wouldn't minimally protect her and her unthought act would only get herself killed faster than the others, however, the cheap copy of the Thunder God claimed the axe when he saw what he would do and, consequently, the Emperor missed it. The red eyes of the more powerful made the thing to watch its own death.

A coherent thought came to its mind when her magic involved him with his sentence, he begged himself to go back home, to find safety and someone who cared about enough to smash each cell of his enemies for him. The lips of the threat moved and he knew it was over, however, in the corner of his eye, something caught his attention: the insects brought the body of the female who had challenged him before when they invoked that weird dimension. He didn't remember why, but it looked like a home. His body moved to involve hers and he needed to use the space stone to be faster than the words to come. There were some seconds in which he felt good, but it didn't last long.

- No infinity stones anymore. – The magic of the witch the actress played enrolled all the dimension and then focused on those small six points. She felt that the monster tried to escape, but she didn't let, she kept the focus and then expanded it in destruction.

The second Big Bang took place when the shape of stone broke and all the energy contained in each one of them was released with the monstrous force they expected. The skin of the actors burned and the flash that followed could have taken their vision if they had stayed with their matter in that place after the chaos occurred. Nothing was left from the mirrored dimension, but seeing the light of the sun again as free people was a very pleasant sensation. How good it was that Benedict decided to bring them back when he realized they could finish that confront.

Silence. A massive and fragile silence, as if each being in there waited that the worse came back and that just celebrating could bring more potential enemies. With shortness of breath and the body fighting to stabilize, the actors let themselves to fall to the ground exhausted. It was over, they won, survived to tell stories no one else would believe.

There were no "hooray!" or celebration shouts, not when the blood of their mates and friends stained the ground and the pain was so recent that they couldn't bear. Many let their guard down and let themselves to fall just as those who stroked the last hit did, others stood still with a so lost look that maybe they hadn't even noticed that now they could tranquilly breathe.

Tears of relief sprouted in most of the eyes. Their worlds were safe, now they could go back home not fearing that fails would result in the death of everything they wanted to protect the most.

Part of the journey is the end…
