Ko sat outside Boxmore, sobbing. It had been a few hours since Boxman told him the news, and he already started the process. All the work they put into this was for nothing, and now Shadowy might even be more angry that they tried to get rid of him.

"Ko."

Ko looked behind him. Venomous was standing there, and he looked away. Venomous sat down next to him, and stayed quiet.

"How did it happen?" Ko asked. Venomous gave a confused look. "Shadowy is just like Tko, made out of negative emotions. How did it happen to you?" Ko said.

"I guess it was all the failure in my life at that time. When I was doing the experiments and they still wouldn't work, that must have been the time he broke free." Venomous said.

He looked at Ko, he was still crying. "Are you okay?" He asked. "No. We worked so hard to get rid of him, but he's still here. He might be more of a threat now than before. I..messed up so bad." Ko stated.

"You didn't mess up.." "I DID! Because of me, everyone's gonna be in danger! It doesn't matter what you do, it doesn't matter if you lock him away..it doesn't matter if you compromise with him..he's a bad guy! He will do whatever it takes to make anybody suffer, and you're the first victim. You have to suffer living with him ruining everything for you.."

"Does having Tko around make you suffer?" Venomous asked. Ko looked at him, and shook his head. "Then I think I'll be fine. I'll do my best to keep him at bay, I learned a lot from you two. You fight sometimes, over serious stuff too, but you're able to stick together and count on each other all the time. I don't know if I'll have a bond like that with Shadowy, but I can try. If nothing works out in the end, I'll get rid of him."

"Even if it kills you?" Ko asked. Venomous nodded. Ko sighed, and finally stopped crying. "You should get home now." Venomous said. "Yeah." Ko stood up, and smiled. "Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you."

"Ooh whatcha drawing, Fink?" Enid asked. "I'm drawing us." Fink showed Enid the drawing. It had Her, Rad, and Enid on it. "Awww..! Rad come look at this!" Enid said. Rad ran over to them, and his eyes lit up.

Fink smiled at them, and continued drawing. There was room for more people, so she started drawing Carol and Carol. Soon after, she drew Ko and Tko. She stared at them, and felt tears coming.

The doors opened, and they all turned to it. Tko was standing in the doorway with a grin on his face. "Hey." He said. Rad and Enid stared in shock, and Fink stood up. He looked at her, and she ran towards him.

He was tackled with a hug, and raised an eyebrow. "You're finally back..I missed you.. Please don't leave us for that long again, please." Fink said as she started to cry. He chuckled, and returned the hug. "I promise."

"So..it was all for nothing..?" Fink asked. "Yep. I feel..pretty stupid now for leaving." Tko said. "How did Ko feel?" She asked. "Well..he's the one who found out. He was crying about it for a few hours, he's blaming himself."

Fink sighed, that wasn't new. She wondered what was up with them, always blaming themselves for everything. She looked at Tko, he was staring at the dojo. "Tko.." "Is she at work?" He cut her off.

"She hasn't left the hospital yet." She said. Tko looked at her with wide eyes. "What do you mean she hasn't left yet? It's been three months, it shouldn't take that long to heal from something like that.." He said.

He was trembling. "She..she's not.." "Don't worry, she's not dead." Fink said. That relived him a bit. "A month ago, she was almost all better..then the doctors told us it got worse. They needed to keep her in longer, then they didn't tell us anything else."

"Why'd they stop!? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!?" He shouted. Fink didn't say anything, and he stared at the ground. He was distracted for the time they were with Venomous. Now that he could focus on his life again, all the guilt was flooding back to him.

He wanted to come home to Carol being okay. Everything was just as bad as when they left. He sat back down, and closed his eyes. "It really was all for nothing." He thought to himself.

"Tko! Fink!"

They looked up. Carol was getting out of Gar's car, and she was waving at them with a hug smile on her face. They didn't do anything. Neither thought this was real, a hallucination.

They looked at each other, wondering if they were seeing the same thing. Both looked back at Carol, she was running towards them. They stood up, the started walking.

It was real, she was here. Fink picked up her speed, and tackled her into a hug. She chuckled, and hugged her. "Carol..Carol you're okay..?" She asked.

"Yeah..I'm sorry sorry for leaving you. It won't happen again." Carol said. She looked at Tko, he was stiff. Carol sat up. "Tko..are you okay?" She asked. "M..Mom..I'm sorry..I'm sorry.." He muttered.

She pulled him into the hug, and he started sobbing. "You didn't do anything wrong. I chose to protect you, it was my fault. We're both okay though, right?" Carol said. He nodded, and smiled a bit.

"I'm proud of you both for being so strong during all of this." Carol said. Fink and Tko didn't say anything, they just enjoyed the hug. They missed this, all three of them. Everything felt..good again. After the months of grieving, everything was finally okay.

5 months passed.

"Tko! Tko! Tko! Wake up!"

Tko opened his eyes, and saw Fink jumping on his bed. He pulled the covers from under her, and she fell. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Hurry up and get ready, we're heading to the plaza soon!" Fink said.

"Mmm..I don't feel like going today." Tko said, and pulled the covers over his head. Fink huffed, and started jumping on his bed again. "Come on, I'm sure Ko wants to come too!" She said,

"I do!" Ko cheered. Tko growled and hit head head. "Shut up! I'm not going!" He said. Fink started to pull him out of bed, then he hissed at her. She gave him puppy dog eyes, and he sweat dropped.

"Fine.." He rolled off his bed, and sighed. "Yay!" Fink cheered, then ran out the room. He heard her talking to Carol already, then threw on an outfit.

"Recently you've been staying home a lot, why?" Ko asked. "Doesn't matter." Tko said. "It does matter, is something bothering you?"

Tko ignored him. He then felt power fists being shot around their house, and shook his head aggressively. "Don't do that." He said. "Tell me what's wrong, please?" Ko asked.

He sighed, then sat on his bed. "I've just been..scared. I'm always scared, we're still a target to Shadowy. It's been so quiet, we haven't seen Venomous ever since we left. Do you think they were able to work things out? Or do you think he had to..get rid of him?" Tko said.

"I wonder that too sometimes. It's been a while though, if Shadowy hasn't tried anything..Professor must have made peace with him. We'll be okay, stop worrying about this. Go have fun for once!" Ko said. Tko smiled, and got off his bed. "Yeah, okay."

He walked out of the room, and they looked at him. "Morning, Tko!" Carol greeted. He waved, then they headed to the car.

When they made it to the plaza, they both hopped out of the car and started running towards the bodega. Fink greeted Rad and Enid, and they went inside. Before Tko made it inside, he looked towards Boxmore.

He squinted, and saw Boxman outside. Next to him, was Venomous. It made him smile a bit. Seeing that he was still okay and didn't have to give up his life, it make things a bit better. He hated him, but he was just glad things turned out good for him.

"Tko?" Tko turned to the door. "You coming inside?" Fink asked. "Yeah, sorry." He ran inside, and greeted Rad and Enid.

Throughout most of the day, Fink watched Tko. He was more happy, smiling more. During the car ride, he seemed to be filled with fear. Now he was relieved, it made Fink happy.

She always wonders how things would have been if she didn't ask to go to the plaza that day. If she wasn't nosy about the rustling bush, if she didn't see that there was still good in him even if he was considered a villain at that time.

Her life was always so lonely. She didn't care about how annoying Tko could get, or how confusing Ko and Tko switching around was. They were..family, and she cared about everyone in it dearly.
