Chapter 32: Beyond A Doubt

Both Siren and Tenaya shifted uncomfortably under the gaze of the Ranger team. Spencer and Annie had returned when called, just as wary as the rest.

"We want to help," Siren repeated her earlier words.

"Help destroy Venjix," Tenaya finished.

"You're saying…" Flynn started, confused and wary. "You want to join us," he summed up. He then turned to his team.

"Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is nuts?" Ziggy questioned, holding the pool cue upside down as he looked just as suspicious as the Blue Ranger. "The Queens of Mean here wanted to kill us, and they've been trying pretty hard to do that for months, and now…" he trailed off.

"Ziggy's right," Scott admitted. "If we trust them, they'll learn all about our technology. Everything that makes us...us," he pointed out. "Guys, if they're not-"

"Not what?" Dillon didn't look away from Tenaya, but his tone was warning.

"Not telling the truth," Summer spoke up for Scott when he hesitated. She put a hand on Dillon's arm, and it hurt her chest when he didn't look at her. "Dillon, you know Venjix would do anything to take Corinth," she pushed. "He could be using them right now," Summer glanced to the pair in question. While Siren couldn't help but scowl at her, Tenaya looked even more unsure.

"Venjix gave you fake memories before. He could be doing the same for all three of you," Spencer reminded with a shrug. "As much as I want to believe them and get their help...we need to be sure before we put the last city at risk," he pointed out. Teddie sighed. She didn't want to agree with Spencer - she was still mad at him and he was still wisely keeping his distance outside of battle - but he made good points.

"The point is moot," they looked around as Dr. K emerged from her lab and approached, looking grim. "'Moot' means it doesn't matter, has no relevance," she explained when she saw Ziggy's blank stare.

"Oh, that moot, yeah," he gave an awkward laugh.

"The Bot that attacked the city was only here to sample wavelengths and matrix data in the Ranger Series Biofield," Dr. K continued as she paced around the team.

"Meaning..what?" Flynn asked.

"Meaning, if my calculations are correct…"

"And when aren't they?" Nora snorted, sitting on a bench nearby.

"It will return to the city…"

"With the ability to intercept the biofields," Gem and Gemma explained for Dr. K.

"And take control of our weapons," Dr. K finished. The Rangers breathed deeply, taking in the new threat. "So, you see, whether Tenaya 7 and Siren 8 are spies or not...is really the least of our worries," Dr. K continued. "Right now...we're defenseless," she summed up.

"We can get you the base codes," Tenaya spoke suddenly, earning their attention again.

"How?" Scott asked, suspicious.

"Shifter designed that bot, his codes are on the palace servers," she explained as Siren lost her scowl.

"With the coding, we'd have a chance," Dr. K admitted.

"Then we'll go get them for you," Siren sighed, running a hand through her curls. "But...we'll need some help," she admitted.

"Fine," Dillon said, walking over to the pair immediately.

"No, not fine!" Scott snapped. "Dillon, what if this is a trap, and you don't come back with the codes?" he pointed out.

"From what Dr. K says...it won't really matter if Dillon doesn't come back with the codes," Teddie shrugged.

"It'll be...moot?" Ziggy tried, and Dr. K rolled her eyes.

"Yes," she confirmed.

"Leave your Morpher," Tenaya warned Dillon. "Venjix will detect it before we even get close," Dillon wordlessly removed his Morpher and took the Engine Cell from around his neck, handing them both to Ziggy.

"I'm going with you then," Nora sighed, jumping down from her perch and approaching.

"No, no way," Scott denied immediately. Nora arched an eyebrow at him.

"Yes way. At least with two of us there, we might be able to get out," she said firmly. Scott glanced at Teddie, who caught his eye and shrugged.

"Don't look at me. You know what Nora's like," she said, sounding calmer than she felt. She didn't like the idea of Dillon and Nora breaking into Venjix' palace, and though she desperately wanted to trust Cassie, she knew they had to be careful. Teddie then approached Nora, who summoned her sword and attached it to her belt. "Be careful. Or I'll have to go out there after you," she warned.

"'Be careful', she says," Nora snorted. "I'm more capable of that than you," she pointed out, making Teddie grin. The White Ranger hugged her tightly, and stepped back, hoping that Nora was right. To her credit, Nora looked confident, hiding her own concern about going out into the Waste again. Nora then glanced to the rest of the team, all looking equally worried, and met Ziggy's gaze for just a moment before looking away.

"Good luck," Summer said quietly to Dillon, who offered a faint smile before leading the way out.

Ducking behind a sand dune, the four watched as two Grinders rode by on bikes.

"We have 30 seconds until the next patrol," Tenaya warned. "Ready?" she asked.

"Did it say our names?" Dillon asked suddenly.

"What?" Tenaya frowned at him.

"When you saw the personal data. Did it say our names - anything?" Dillon asked, hoping for more information about his past. Tenaya looked down at her hands, and shook her head.

"No," she said quietly.

"There was no kind of information about who we were before," Siren spoke up. "All that was there was the codes that we were assigned," she explained, and Tenaya took a breath before climbing over the mound. She started to run, and the other three followed, keeping an eye out for signs of anything coming towards them.

Getting into the massive structure was easy - nothing was guarding it, and the doors slid open when Tenaya hit a button. She and Siren moved quickly down the corridors, well used to the place, while Dillon slowed. Noticing, Nora stopped beside him.

"Dillon?" she whispered, and he jerked, snapping out of a memory that had overtaken him. He shook his head, and looked around, seeing no sign of the other two. Dillon looked at Nora, and the pair crept towards the corner, peeking around.

"Tenaya?" Dillon called, before the pair were grabbed from behind.

"General Shifter has betrayed me. Tenaya 7 and Siren 8 are gone. Kilobyte, I am appointing you to lead my armies to victory," Venjix announced as Kilobyte approached.

"Wait!" Crunch shrieked as he ran over. "What about me? I have seniority!" he complained.

"Please, be serious," Kilobyte chided, his tone mocking. Crunch groaned, but didn't argue. "You won't regret it, your greatness," Kilobyte told Venjix, bowing to him.

"Wanna bet?" they looked around as Tenaya and Siren walked in.

"Well, look who's back," Kilobyte mused.

"If you want all talk and no action, then of course pick Kilobyte. He could talk for days and get nowhere," Siren said as she walked past him.

"But if you want results…" Tenaya smirked, and turned as Grinders dragged in Dillon and Nora, both struggling.

"You liar!" Dillon shouted furiously. Tenaya just laughed as Siren smirked.

"Well, well. The Black Ranger, and a familiar face," Kilobyte mused, approaching the pair. Nora had gone rigid the moment she'd seen him, terror making it hard to breathe.

"I destroyed you," she whispered, making him laugh.

"Oh no, dear. I can't be destroyed by your tragic kind. But I will admit..." he leaned in close, watching as her shallow breathing grew worse. "You have come the closest," he told her, and followed as the pair were dragged off by the Grinders keeping them in place.

"Put me in charge, and we'll get you all the Rangers," Tenaya told Venjix confidently.

"Excellent, Tenaya 7," Venjix spoke up. "Excellent…"

Freed from their shackles, Nora and Dillon were shoved into a small cell, and the door shut as the Grinder entered a code. While Nora backed up until she hit the wall and sank down to the ground, Dillon slammed his fist against the door.

"A Ranger without a Morpher...how curious," Kilobyte commented, and walked away as Dillon glared after him.

The alarm in the garage blared as a violent quake shook the city.

"It's back," Dr. K warned as the team ran into the lab.

"We're not gonna be able to wait for Dillon," Flynn commented, glancing at Scott.

"Any weapons we deploy may fall under enemy control," Dr. K reminded as she scanned the Attackbot for anything they could use against it.

"I'll use the PaleoMax," Arianna spoke up, earning their attention. "If I'm able to stay in control, you can try your other Zords," she said confidently.

"I hate it...but it's the best idea we've got," Scott sighed. Arianna smiled softly, glad he'd accepted her idea. "But I'm going with you," he decided. "No buts," he patted her shoulder as she tried to protest, and turned to the rest. "Wish us luck," he shrugged, and the pair hurried off.

"Aye…" Flynn muttered, watching the screen with worry.

The new Attackbot beat its chest with clawed hands; the clockwork keys on its shoulders moving as the PaleoZords approached.

"Yeah, yeah, beat your chest all you want. You don't scare us," Scott called up to it.

"Activate PaleoMax!" Arianna called, forming the Megazord.

"Let's see what this guy's made of!" Scott shouted, and Arianna nodded. The Megazord rushed in, and delivered a kick to the Attackbot, knocking it to the ground. "How's your first taste of Paleo-power?" the Red Ranger called. Arianna took a breath, hoping they'd hear from Dillon soon.

Tenaya and Siren walked down a metal pathway, almost completely in darkness, with two Grinders blocking the other side where a large computer console was lit up in red. They beeped at the pair, arms moving as they did.

"Didn't you get the memo? I'm in charge now. Get out!" Tenaya snapped at them. The two Grinders hesitated for a moment, before moving on.

"Nicely done," Siren murmured as they continued up to the console. Tenaya just gave a shrug, and held out her hand. A small connector emerged from her finger, and she connected it to the computer. Immediately the screen lit up with information, and she downloaded the coding from the Attackbot. When Tenaya disconnected her hand, Siren shuddered. "I hate when you do that," she complained.

"The coding for Shifter's Hyperbot," Kilobyte spoke softly, making the pair whirl around.

"Shifter is a traitor. He and his Bot must be wiped out," Tenaya growled.

"And you're just the hybrid for the job," Kilobyte mocked, earning a glare from Tenaya. "Hmm...why you caught the Black Ranger without his Morpher," he started, turning his back. Tenaya quickly passed the chip with the Hyperbot data to the hand still on the console, and it crawled away. "And brought him in without a scratch. And a girl who creates fire from nothing! Impeccable work," he then whirled around. "Or maybe he took off his Morpher and came in voluntarily," he challenged.

"Tenaya is his sister," Siren spoke up, and Tenaya looked at her quickly. Kilobyte glanced at her idly. "You said it yourself. Human emotions are weak," Siren gave a shrug. "She just manipulated those emotions and tricked him into coming out without his Morpher. Poor tragic boy," she smirked. "Can't even bring himself to fight back against her," she laughed. Kilobyte's eerie red eyes bored through her.

"A likely story," he muttered. While Tenaya had openly challenged him from the moment he'd returned to the palace, he'd seen how Siren had been. She was manipulative and clever, and while Tenaya could be hot-headed, she could be reasoned with, and Siren had figured out just how to work with that.

"How dare you question my loyalty," Tenaya snarled.

"I question everything about you. About both of you," Kilobyte growled back.

"Nora," Dillon finally broke the silence of the cell, crouched in front of the girl, whose head was in her hands. "You know that bot," he accused, having heard her quiet words.

"When Venjix first attacked, I was captured and put into a camp. I don't know what exactly the camp was for, but he ran it. He was the one who took me there in the first place, and he…" Nora took a deep breath as the memories she tried to keep buried surfaced, bringing with them a wave of nausea. She still remembered the old man who Kilobyte had killed in front of everyone. "I thought I destroyed him, when I blew up the place," she shook her head, and Dillon sighed, taking a seat beside her.

"It's times like this that I'm kinda glad I don't have memories," he admitted, and Nora looked up in surprise at him. He stared at the cell door, and Nora realised some of his memories from when he became a hybrid were returning.

"I think they're necessary," she murmured, looking back down. "To help remind us of what we're up again. And what you and the other Rangers need to stop. So nobody else has to deal with it," Nora shrugged, trying to mask her fear. Kilobyte had haunted her nightmares since she'd first met him. His brags still echoed. He'd been strong enough to take out both Ari and Xander.

Dillon then looked up suddenly as his sensitive ears heard something skittering down the corridor. A shadow was cast under the door, and a moment later, something slid under, right over to Dillon's foot. "Uh…" Nora frowned as the hand tapped on the glass, before the door slid open. The two peeked out, and saw the hand crawling away. "That's not part of the plan," she murmured.

"Our first order of business will be to destroy Shifter," Tenaya growled, still keeping her arm behind her back to hide that her hand had wandered off. "If you don't obey me, Venjix isn't going to be happy. Got it?" she snapped.

"Oh, I'm starting to get a lot of things," Kilobyte commented as the two Grinders rushed in from before. "And yes, Venjix will be very-" he stopped as the two footsoldiers beeped loudly. "Hm...understood. Leave us," he ordered, and they rushed out. "That Ranger, your brother, and the girl, escape…" he turned to the pair, who frowned at Kilobyte. "And neither of you seem surprised," he accused, wandering around the console idly.

"And you think we let them loose? Think again," Tenaya rolled her eyes.

"We've been here the whole time, talking to you," Siren shrugged. Kilobyte let out a growl, lunging forwards to slam his foot down on the hand crawling towards Tenaya. Her eyes widened, and Siren bit back a curse.

"Well...seems like you've been in two places at once," Kilobyte lifted the hand, dangling it in front of Tenaya. Before anyone could speak, Dillon slammed two cables into him. The general screamed as electricity pulsed through his metal body, damaging his circuits, and he collapsed.

"I had a feeling you wouldn't be leaving so quickly," Tenaya commented lightly as he passed her hand back to her.

"I left you here once. It's not gonna happen again," he vowed.

"Okay, this big brother act is getting old fast," Nora rolled her eyes, sword drawn. "Can we please get out of here? Before there's not a city left to get back to?" she requested.

"I have to agree," Siren sighed.

"Come on," Dillon nodded to the three.

The Attackbot got back to its feet, roaring loudly, only to flash suddenly. It seemed to deactivate, slumping forwards.

"What's going on?" Arianna wondered.

"I dunno, but it doesn't look good," Scott replied, seeing the clockwork keys start to change form, becoming bigger as they wound into the Attackbot's shoulders. It suddenly moved, as the metal around its body changed, unwrapping and colliding with the PaleoMax Megazord like punches, before slipping in through any open spots. "What? Hey!" Scott cried out as it grabbed him, and flung him out of the Megazord. He landed heavily on the ground below, and Arianna landed nearby.

"No!" Arianna cried out as the PaleoMax Megazord sparked and jerked above, taken over. It began to move, destroying a building nearby.

"PaleoMax out of control!" Scott warned the rest of the team.

'Repeat, out of control!' Scott's shouts came through loud and clear.

"Any sign of Dillon?" Summer asked, looking over at where Gem and Gemma were working. Even they looked concerned. Gem shook his head, before Gemma let out a shout.

"Wait! I've got something," she said, and a moment later, Dillon's Ranger signal popped up on the map.

Dillon's car sped through the dust of the waste, kicking up a huge cloud as he pushed his car harder than before.

"Grinders up ahead," Siren warned from the back, and Nora sighed.

"Keep going," she told Dillon. "And don't let them hit me," she requested, rolling down the window and leaning out. Her hand started to glow red, and fire burst free from her fingertips. It engulfed the Grinders, destroying them as they passed.

"We're almost at the barricade!" he shouted, right before the massive machines burst out of the ground. Cannons focused on the car racing towards them.

"I can't take them all out!" Nora shouted as she continued to throw jets of fire out, which helped throw off the blasts trying to destroy them. Tenaya's visor then lowered, hiding her face, and she leaned out the window, taking aim. Before it could hit them, she blasted it, and destroyed the final blockade, allowing them to reach Corinth.

"He's in!" Gemma shouted to the others, smiling brightly.

"Alright, let's go. We'll pick up Dillon on the way," Flynn told the team.

"We'll send Nora back with the chip," Spencer called to Dr. K, who nodded and began setting up preparations.

"We can't let this happen!" Scott shouted, forced to watch the PaleoMax Megazord destroying the city.

"This is my fault...I shouldn't have suggested it," Arianna put her hands to her head, and Scott put a hand on her shoulder.

"It was the best idea, and it was my call," he reminded her.

"I have control of your Megazord," the two whirled around to see Shifter approach, laughing.

"What?" Scott frowned.

"And now I'll have control over you!" Shifter declared, making the pair laugh in disbelief.

"That'll never happen," Arianna told him confidently. Scott nodded, and they grabbed their Nitro Blasters. They fired, but Shifter knocked it away with a powerful swing of his arm, before running in with his double-sided spear. He was powerful, pushing both Scott and Arianna back as the Megazord and Attackbot continued to destroy from above.

Dillon skidded to a stop, spotting the rest of the team nearby, and passed Nora the chip.

"Get that to Dr. K as soon as you can," he told her, and she nodded.

"We'll go with her, make sure nothing gets in the way," Siren said. The three climbed out of the car and ran off, and Dillon got out a moment later as the Rangers reached him.

"You made it through the barricade twice," Ziggy laughed, handing him his Morpher.

"You doubted me. Twice," Dillon smirked. He attached his Morpher back to his wrist, looking up at the carnage above.

"Well, you did have Nora both times," Teddie grinned, and Dillon shrugged.

"I dunno about doubted, I mean, you know, sure," Ziggy rambled as he handed over the Engine Cell as well. "I never thought you'd make it, but...yeah okay, I doubted you, yeah-" he was stopped when Flynn grabbed him roughly by the jacket.

"Are you quite ready?" the Blue Ranger demanded as the others shook their heads.

"Yeah…" Ziggy nodded.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"RPM, GET IN GEAR!"

"Doc!" Nora shouted as the three ran into the lab, all out of breath. "Here," she held out the chip.

"The Hyperbot programming is on this chip," Tenaya told her.

"Excellent," Dr. K nodded, taking the chip and connecting it. "How many gigabytes of data-" she stopped, seeing that Tenaya had disappeared, leaving Nora and Siren there.

Back in the city, the Rangers called on their Megazords, with the ValveMax Megazord working to restrain the rampaging PaleoMax.

"We can't hold it!" Ziggy gulped as they struggled.

"We have to!" Dillon pushed.

"We can do it!" Teddie encouraged as they held on tight. However, the PaleoMax broke free and punched their Megazord hard, throwing them back, before swinging its weapon to cut across them. They hit the ground, crying out as they were banged around their individual cockpits.

Nearby, Scott and Arianna fought furiously against Shifter, who barely gave them a chance to catch their breath.

"You think you can win?" he taunted as they saw the ValveMax Megazord hit the ground. "I already have one Megazord. Soon, I'll have them all!" Shifter declared.

"Not on my watch!" Scott shouted. "Street Sabre!" he called on his bigger sword, using it to knock away the spear Shifter wielded.

"Jet Fists!" Arianna landed a hard punch that dented his arm, making Shifter shout in fury.

"How dare you!" he swung his spear at her, but Scott got in the way, disarming him and leaping over his head. Shifter turned to attack, and the Red Ranger slashed up his chest. Shifter staggered backwards, now sporting an indent in his armour. "After I have your Megazords, I'll have your city!" he declared, grabbing his spear. With quick moves, he caught both Rangers at the same time, and they hit the ground hard.

"We can't take much more of this…" Arianna warned, and Scott nodded.

"Mach Megazord!" in the sky above, Spencer and Annie used their flying Megazord to fly towards the Hyperbot.

"Let's take this guy down!" Annie shouted.

"Without hitting the Paleo. Arianna was so happy she finally got a Zord," Spencer grinned. As they got close, the Hyperbot turned and blasted them, forcing them to the ground. "Oh, he hits hard," the Gold Ranger commented as it charged towards them. It landed a heavy blow, forcing them back, as nearby the PaleoMax continued to attack the ValveMax Megazord. It shoved them back, before sparking again, stopping what it was doing.

"What?!" Shifter noticed the action. "Something is interfering with my signal!" he realised with horror.

"It's working, Doc!" Scott contacted their mentor as Arianna shoved Shifter backwards. The PaleoMax turned towards the Hyperbot, who began beating its chest again. The Megazord staggered, before turning back.

"We've lost PaleoMax again!" Scott warned.

"Oh come on!" Teddie groaned, and a moment later they were hit again by a powerful fist. "This is getting really annoying," she complained.

"Ziggy! Dillon, Teddie!" Scott shouted as the ValveMax hit the ground hard.

"Behind you!" Arianna shouted, and Scott turned as Shifter hit him with a blast. He hit the ground, but was otherwise unharmed.

"Alright, that's it!" Scott growled, getting back up. "Street Sabre Strike!" He used his sword to rush Shifter, hitting him with powerful blows.

"Nice work!" they looked up, hearing Summer as Shifter fell to the ground. Summer and Flynn sped towards them in their own Zords.

"Come on Scott!" Flynn grinned.

"We're back in the game!" Summer cheered. Shifter groaned, staggering back to his feet.

"Watch closely," Scott told him. "This is how we treat Bots like yours," he declared, calling on his Eagle Zord. They combined, forming the High Octane Megazord.

"Our next target," Shifter growled, turning back to Arianna.

"Any luck, Dr. K?" Scott contacted the genius again.

'Luck, no. Comprehension, yes,' she declared.

"You take that bot. We'll handle the PaleoMax," Scott instructed the Black, White and Green Rangers.

"Sounds good to me!" Teddie cheered. They headed off to help out Spencer and Annie, and the High Octane Megazord landed a punch as the PaleoMax tried to attack them. It retaliated, bombarding them with hits, and nearby, the Hyperbot charged up an attack, and with two strikes, split apart the two Megazords.

"Let's do this!" Scott shouted, and both High Octane and PaleoMax Megazords punched each other at the same time, causing a powerful electric blast that split apart the High Octane Megazord.

"Excellent! Blasted them to pieces," Shifter laughed, knocking Arianna back with a punch. "As for you!" he fired a blast like he'd done to Scott, and Arianna staggered backwards. She fell, putting a hand to her chest, but felt nothing. "Wait, no!" Shifter shrieked as the PaleoMax Megazord split apart like the rest. "What's happening?" he demanded.

"It worked!" Scott breathed a sigh of relief.

"Fantastic!" Ziggy laughed.

'Astonishing...it's like discovering the Theory of Relativity,' Dr. K spoke, sounding excited.

"What do you mean?" Teddie asked, confused.

'If this data is correct, you should be able to combine all 13 Zords! Downloading Combo Matrix to the Biofield's energy drives,' she announced.

"Do you think it'll work?" Summer asked, a little worried.

"All 13? That...that sounds a little crazy," Ziggy gulped.

"Hey, crazy is what this team does best!" Teddie cheered.

"She's right, let's try it!" Annie laughed.

"Let's just do it!" Dillon agreed.

"My energy levels are through the ceiling!" Flynn laughed.

"Well, we've got nothing to lose," Scott was just as excited as the rest. "Activate UltraZord!" he shouted.

"PaleoZords!" Arianna called on her Zords again, abandoning Shifter. The Zords all raced together, moving towards the Hyperbot.

"Alright, I've got the codes Doc," Scott entered the codes into his console.

"RPM, ULTRAZORD!" they combined each of the Zords together, forming a bigger and more powerful Megazord.

"What?! They've stolen my coding, but how?!" Shifter demanded as he stared up at the UltraZord.

"All systems go, Doc," Scott announced.

"Energy levels reaching peak!"

"I've got a feeling we're about to redefine peak energy," Flynn told them as they faced the Hyperbot. It roared, blasting at the Megazord that now towered over it, and beat its chest again in an attempt to take control. When nothing worked, it ran in and punched, but it bounced off harmlessly.

"Aw...it's so small now," Teddie giggled.

"Activate weapons!" with a single swipe, they slapped the Hyperbot backwards. The team cheered, before Scott and Arianna both cried out in pain, feeling a dull ache in their chests.

"You guys okay?" Spencer asked, concerned. They didn't get a chance to answer, as the Hyperbot got back up and beat its chest.

"I'm fine. Let's blast this guy," Scott shook it off.

"Yeah, let's end this," Arianna agreed as she tried to ignore the pain, which was already fading.

"UltraZord, High Kick!" they shouted. The Hyperbot ran in again, but before it could get close, the Megazord kicked out, and it was flung backwards again.

"Road Attack!" Scott called on their other Zord, entering the Engine Cell and tossing it out. It landed on the Hyperbot heavily, knocking it around even more. "Skid Mode!" the Road Attack Zord then changed back to a wheel and a ramp, landing in front of them.

"Road Attack, Burnout!" they blasted the Road Attack, sending it into the Hyperbot to do even more damage. "Engage Wheel Blasters!"

"Combine weapons!" Spencer and Annie shouted.

"Fire!" they shouted together, sending the energy of all their Megazords at the Hyperbot. It smashed through it, and with a roar, the Hyperbot was destroyed. As its body was destroyed, the key inside landed near Shifter, who lifted it.

"All is not lost...I will have the power of the key myself," he declared, combining it with his arm.

"You know, I had my doubts. But I really got to give it to your sister. And Siren-Cassie, whatever her name is," Scott admitted.

"Yeah, they really came through," Summer agreed.

"And that new UltraZord is incredible!" Teddie bounced up and down with excitement. "We're totally gonna kick butt even more than before!" she cheered.

"Teddie's right, the power of that thing was amazing," Spencer agreed. "Even Annie's excited about it," he grinned, and she elbowed him.

"What? I'm allowed to appreciate this stuff," she defended. Dillon grinned, seeing Tenaya as she reached them, approaching the team. She waved, smiling shyly at them, and Dillon waved back.

"It's kinda refreshing, to see her and not think that she's about to try kill us," Teddie commented.

"What is it with Rangers and taking in the bad guys?" Spencer wondered aloud.

"Your family are the main instigators of that, so don't even start," Dillon rolled his eyes at the Gold Ranger, who shrugged as Teddie giggled.

The light atmosphere was short-lived, as glowing red restraints suddenly wrapped around Tenaya. She cried out, struggling, and dark laughter filled the silence that fell. They looked around, seeing Kilobyte emerge from his hiding place.

"It can't be," Teddie gasped.

"No!" Dillon shouted.

"This is what happens to traitors," Kilobyte raised his weapon, and Tenaya screamed as the Rangers ran towards her. Kilobyte fired, blasting the Rangers to the ground. Unmorphed, the team hit the ground hard, injured and covered in dirt, and when they looked up, Tenaya and Kilobyte were gone.

Dillon really can't catch a break.

Hope you liked it, let me know!
