Skylar gaped at the sight of Fairy Tail. She couldn't believe that she was really here, with her mother's friends right beside her. It almost made Skylar forget about her current predicament. Almost, being the key word.
Skylar looked at Erza a bit nervously. Erza smiled at the shorter girl and tilted her head, gesturing for Skylar to go in, but Skylar was too scared to go into an unfamiliar place. Now that she was here, her mind was in more of a jumbled mess than before.
Skylar's hand lingered over the doorknob. She took a deep breath, but before she could do anything -- like open the door -- that very door was kicked open by none other than Natsu Dragneel.
"We're back!" Natsu yelled. No sooner than he blurted those words out, a flying blue feline came out of no where and hugged him.
"I didn't know that cats can fly," Skylar said, surprised.
"That's an exceed," Lucy said with a slight giggle. "His name is Happy. He would've been with us today, but he went on a mission with his wife and three kids."
"Oh," Skylar said.
"Are you coming?" Gray questioned, stepping foot into the guild. Erza followed Gray in, leaving Lucy and Skylar.
"I'm kind of nervous," Skylar admitted to the blonde.
"Don't be," Lucy said. "You'll fit right in. You're a dragon slayer, like your mother is, right?" When Skylar nodded, Lucy beamed. "You remind me of her, which is only natural, since you are her daughter. Everyone's going to be shocked by that, lemme tell you. Hm, also you won't be the only kid there."
"Oh, I won't?" Skylar questioned with a raised eyebrow.
Lucy shook her head. "I have a son and daughter," she said. "Natsu's the father, of course. Gray has two sons and one daughter. Erza has a son and daughter just like me. And there's more. I'm sure you'll make so many friends. You'll just love Nova, but be careful, she's a massive fangirl and shipper, just like her mother. In other words, she might ship you with someone, despite your age. Don't say I didn't warn you."
Skylar smiled. "I'm looking forward to meeting everyone," she said. "So, Fairy Tail, is there anywhere for me to sleep until -- hopefully -- my mom comes?"
Lucy frowned, as if she hadn't thought of that. "We'll find some place for you to stay, okay, Skylar?" she said."In the mean time, how would you like to receive your very own Fairy Tail emblem?"
"As in... become a member?" Skylar questioned, her eyes widening.
Lucy chuckled at the girl's delightful expression that now graced her face. "Of course," she answered. "What do you say? Wanna join Fairy Tail?"
"Yes!" Skylar shrieked, and then quickly covered her mouth. "I mean, I guess so, since I have nothing better to do..."
Lucy shook her head in amusement. "Okay, let's go see Mirajane," she said. "She'll get you your very own emblem."
"Wow," Skylar said. "Okay. Let's go." Then she frowned. How could she act so happy or excited when her mother's life is in danger? She's such a terrible daughter.
Lucy didn't seem to notice Skylar's conflicting emotions, though. "Come on," she said, entering the guild. Skylar sighed, and after only a slight hesitation, she followed the older blonde in.
The guild was rowdy and so full of life. Adults, teens, and kids, as well. Skylar gasped, seeing all the fun everyone seemed to be having.
She noticed Natsu and Gray (one without clothes, can you guess who?) fighting, Happpy cheering them on and a white cat shaking her head in disaproval. Erza was eating strawberry cake.
There was a woman in only a bra or bikini top, chugging down booze.
A mini version of Gray who also didn't appear to be wearing any clothes, was fighting with a pink haired girl, both seemingly twelve or thirteen.
A blonde haired boy a red haired girl were at a table, chatting, both around ten. A red haired boy, who looked to be about twelve, walked over to mini Gray and the pinky, trying to stop them fighting.
Two blue haired five year olds -- a boy and a girl, was with a blue haired woman, who was obviously their mother.
So many people. Skylar couldn't even process it.
"Mirajane!" Lucy suddenly called. A smiling white haired woman walked over to them. She was incredibly pretty and wore a strikingly gorgeous red dress.
"Hello, Lucy," Mirajane greeted. She glanced down and saw Skylar looking up at her. Mirajane waved. "Hi. And who's this, Lucy?"
"Skylar Marvell," Lucy said.
Mirajane widened her eyes. "Did you just say--?" she questioned. "Marvell, as in Wendy Marvell?"
Lucy nodded. "Yeah," she said. "This is her daughter. Can you give her the Fairy Tail emblem?"
"Oh, but where's Wendy?" Mirajane questioned. Lucy gave her a pointed look, so Mirajane sighed. "I-I see. Skylar, where do you want your emblem located? And what color?"
"Blue. On my shoulder," Skylar answered. Mirajane smiled, and placed her blue emblem on the location she requested.
Skylar is now an official member of Fairy Tail, just like her mother had been.
